Name: Augustine “Stine” Dagny
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Occupation: Fortune Teller/Psychic
Face Claim: Loke from Fairy Tail
Appearance: Stine is somewhat short at 5’6”, and is of average build. He’s aware that his vaguely combed orange hair, piercings up one ear, casual fashion sense, and glasses (mostly the glasses) don’t exactly make him look the part of his occupation, but he likes to think that just adds to his character.
Stine prefers long sleeves and comfortable clothes that don’t stick out too much in crowds. Catch him with short sleeves and he’s got a large and intricate black tattoo on his left arm that runs from the underside of his wrist up his entire inner arm, made up of a couple of diamonds interlocked between swirling black glyph-like text.
Skills:
Linguistics: There doesn’t seem to be a language Stine can’t read or speak. If someone ever needs help with their Akkadian homework, he’s your guy.
Selling stuff: Stine could buy a coke from a vending machine and turn it around for a ten dollar profit. This and his fortune telling, are the two times he musters up his energy and puts on whatever act, face, or lie will get him the sell.
Finding the loopholes: Also known as problem solving. His adaptability and skill at thinking on his feet have served him well.
Blending in: Stine’s been a fish out of water enough times that he’s all but grown lungs and legs and taken the land as his own. He adjusts quickly to new surroundings, picking up mannerisms and how not to stick out like a sore thumb before he can be spotted as an odd one out.
Fortune telling: If he wasn’t good at this, he’d be out of a job. His new small stall in the market (or stall at the local coffee shop every other sunday, buy a coffee and sandwich for 50% off your reading!) has five stars on Yelp and positive word of mouth to spare. Apparently his predictions are never incorrect - and if one ever needs a trouble solved, be it with love, finances, or perhaps an enemy, rumor has it he has infallible means of doing so.
Personality:
Under most circumstances, “energetic” is probably the last word one would use to describe Stine. He’s the quiet sort, content to take things slow and preferring think actions through, bordering occasionally on the side of inaction turned to laziness. While happy to work as a team, his teammates might find themselves saddled with the majority of the standard work while he takes care of his own issues or the issues at hand in his own, separate way. He can be quite focused when working towards his own goals, forgetting to sleep in favor of a few extra hours spent attempting to complete them, but when it comes to others, he often has to be directly asked and given reason to be of much help. If you can get him to do something for you, or if he sees his own reason to be of aid, however, he is as dependable as they come. He’s not the sort to give up easily, and with good problem solving skills and a restlessness to see a job through, he will get it done and done well. Even if Stine tends to be pretty caught up in his own biosphere. He’s perfectly content to do his own thing, on his own, in his own way.
While Stine is used to working alone and in some cases still prefers it, he sees the value in teamwork and in others. Those he grows to care about he cares about a good deal. Even if his ways of showing it can come off as distant, and his loyalty can be at times… questionable. It’s a hard decision, when it comes down to his sake over someone else’s, but it’s one that has to be made and one he’s come to take case by case. He is, however, deeply loyal to his ideals and morals. He believes first and foremost that peace is beneficial to everyone, and even large losses to gain it now will be outweighed by those who may enjoy it in the future.
Stine is a fairly level-headed and flat-toned sort of person, who best expresses his emotions by not expressing them at all save for in the occasional widening of a smile. He is, however, a good listener, though he’s just as quick to listen to your problems as he is to try to sell you his solution. The one exception to his usual calm demeanor is when he is attempting to get someone to agree to the terms of something. This is also one of the few times he will, not so much lie, as withhold information that might possibly be deemed necessary by certain parties under certain circumstances. Normally, while he’s one to hold his and others’ secrets tight, he can be unapologetically blunt. He wishes to continuously improve himself by finding his mistakes - or having them pointed out to him by others - and so will happily point out others’ to them.
