It made no sense for this girl to be here, and it was starting to get insulting. Take out the weirdness of her being a super, and all the girl did was run and watch. Not that that was a bad thing - Valkyrie herself had done so before - but she wasn't sure if the brunette was waiting for an opportunity to dodge or strike out again. Why was she even here?
"Something like that." She smirked at her opponent's annoyance, enjoying the game of cat and mouse while she had the upper hand. The expression shifts to scorn at the mention of the pudding.
"He won't touch it. He doesn't label his food." She feints to the left, bringing another knife into play with the motion while following it up with a follow up on Limen's other side.
Time to see if the little girl would flee, or prove she had something worth Gil feeling he should call her a "disciple".

The trick, Limen had found, when watching for movements in one’s opponents, was not to shift one’s attention fully to a strike when she first saw it. She had to keep an eye on the opponent as a whole, in case there was more to the attack than just that first motion. There always was, when she was dealing with martial fighters of this level. They had to keep up with the people who could shoot fire out of their hands. She had to keep up with that level of fighter.
It was the flick of another knife that told Limen this was a feint. One where she had to be cautious of both sides, and therefore neither left or right would do. So she jumped backwards, taking two steps backwards before coming into a low crouch. Her arms were raised defensively on either side of her body in front her face.
“It makes me sad, Oskmey, what I play along with your little game, but you won’t mine.” She sighed, though her perpetual grin remained. “Also that’s why it’s an experiment. My money’s on he’s going to throw it out after it expires.”

So she was quick to notice things, and quick to defend herself. Valkryie nods and pulls back as well, not as openly defensive but still on edge as she watches the girl who baffles her still.
"Why would you waste food like that?"

“Wouldn’t be me wasting it. It says ‘Gilgamesh’ on it.” Limen chuckled. She didn’t like wasting food, but she’d grown used to it with her lack of refrigeration. She couldn’t carry and eat everything she got her hands on. Besides, this was for science.
The woman had backed off. She was back in a more defensive stance, and had opted for words rather than more knives. Maybe Gil had told Val that she was actually going to fight her, like she had attempted to fight him. ‘Attempted’ was the key word there - and it had ended up with her knocked out on the ground. In all honesty, the tactic she’d used against Gil was both poor and unusual for her, and she was not about to repeat the same mistake.
“So, uh, if we’re going to just stand and chat, you wanna do it over some tea? The hallway’s nice and all, and I’ve got to say your knives are weighted well, but I just stole this nice jasmine blend.”

"So you shift your blame onto him with your own actions - that can be proven wrong very quickly." Not only had the girl labelled the pudding, but Valkyrie seriously doubted that she knew what his handwriting looked like. Somehow, the blonde sounded intrigued, but also bored. She wondered if Limen would run while blame was put elsewhere, or if there would be a surprise worth discovering, instead. Or the girl could probably be delusional. At this stage, it was hard to tell.
"Of course they are." Like she would accept a failure or poor quality weapon. Valkryie eyed her for a moment as she stands upright, defensive position seeming to fall away, though she watched the brunette carefully as the blade

Limen watched the girl carefully as she rose, waiting for any quick flicks of her wrist or strikes at her. None came.
She gave Val a shrug for her feeble argument. It wasn’t like she was trying to explain to Val why pudding with ‘Gilgamesh’ written on it was genius, or attempt to prove that it was entirely a good idea and it wasn’t a waste of everyone’s time. Plus she’d stolen the pudding herself. She could do whatever she pleased with it.
She hesitated to raise to her own feet for fear of another strike, but if Val was going to be attacking from a resting stance, she would likely have time to snap back into a more defensive one herself. Limen stood slowly, like she was getting up for the first time in the morning. She shifted her weight to her right foot, leaning so only the toes of her left rested lightly on the ground. Her grip on the knife relaxed. She gave it a couple of spins between her fingers and shot Val a smile.
“The kitchen’s past you, you know. You, uh, going to let me pass with all my skin and bones in tact?” She asked. “Promise my tea’s worth it. Plus I bet I can dig up those chips I stashed up in the roof.”

Valkyrie's pupils narrowed as Limen shifted positions again, finding her instincts to slide back into a fighting stance wanting to take over. But this girl wasn't worth her time if all she would do was run, and there was no reason for her to start now. Unless she had been waiting to get the upper hand this whole time? She flipped the knife between her fingers easily enough, but the fact that she was focused ont eh tea suggested Valkyrie wasn't going to have a knife in her back tonight.
"I know where it is," she said, voice like ice. She'd helped to build the place, though Limen didn't know it. Taking a step forward, she held out a hand, expectantly, watching the girl like a hawk.
"I'm going to bed." The silent demand for her knife remained.

Bed already? Limen frowned and continued to twirl the blade. She didn’t want to give the knife back, not because she wanted the blade or anything or expected Val to stab her in the back with it, but because she didn’t want the girl to leave.
She put a hand on her hip and spun on her heel so her back faced Val. “So you think you can just wake me up in the middle of the night, stab me and attack me, not answer any of my returning questions, and then just go off to bed?” She asked, regarding her from over her shoulder. Limen clicked her tongue. “I even offered you my fancy tea and chip stash.”
She sighed and shrugged. “So much for hospitality. Buuut, you seem to be a pretty good shot with these here knives.” Limen raised the dagger she’d neglected to give back. “I’m pretty handy with projectiles myself. What would you say to a little friendly competition? I’m going to go on a food raid tomorrow. If you can beat my aim, I’ll make sure to grab you whatever you want. Expensive drinks? Got it. Cheetos? Why not. Whatever your favorite food is, I’ll get it.”
This was where her grin twisted into a sly smile. “If I, little ol’ Limen who couldn’t even get a hit on you, wins, you help me prank Gil tomorrow after I get back.”
She spun again on her heel, flipping the dagger so the blade rested against her wrist and the hilt was out towards Val. She offered the knife to her like a handshake. “Deal? After we wash up, of course.”

However interested Limen was, Valkyrie had what she wanted for now. She held the girl's gaze as the other frowned, then shrugged at the lament of chips and food. She didn't touch chips if she could help it, anyway. The stuff was gross.
"I'm sure you'll get over the heartbreak." She rolled her eyes as sarcasm dripped from her words, but her gaze reverted to Limen when she offered a deal. The stakes weren't so much, but oh, it was tempting. To lose, or to not lose...well, it really wasn't a choice, since it was ingrained in her that losing resulted in death, and death was quite permanent. She shifted her head slightly and grasped the handle of her knife like an old friend with a sharp, delighted laugh and a conniving smile.
"Deal."
