Canary's heart all but burst at the sight of the hallucinogenic mist pouring out of her device around Gilgamesh. It wasn't very strong, but it would definitely be enough to cause an issue or two. Things hadn't been working quite right since the dragon attack, and adding another success to the basket bolstered her enthusiasm.
“Talk later.” She handed off one of the hallucination devices at Sanduleak, nodding at the stairs as she followed after Limen with relative ease, ducking around confused radio hosts and their interns. She didn't feel like sticking around for the person who had declared her a target to get an easy shot. It wasn't smooth sailing for long, it seemed, for pieces of the building were beginning to fall down around them, rubble toppling about like London Bridge on a sunny afternoon. Though she was able to dodge some of it, Canary didn't see a beam fall from behind, slamming into her shoulder and knocking her askew as she ran. After a moment, she was able to turn her attention to where it was needed, but she'd be feeling that one in the morning.
Grateful for her goggles, she focuses on the other supers she can see and tried to get a read on just who has made their job more difficult.

Sadly, this was as far as the fire escape was going to take them. It didn't go all the way up to the roof, Unhallow wasn't tall enough to just climb on the guard rail and jump up to the roof, and climbing didn't seem like a good idea given the nature of their power and the shape the building was in. As much as Unhallow wanted to avoid going inside, there wasn't any other way for them to feasibly get to the roof. This floor at least had less people in it for the moment, it should be okay. Probably. Unhallow climbed though the window the fire escape was next to and started making their way towards the stairs, taking a bit of extra time to avoid the more populated areas.

Sanduleak nodded a bit dumbly at her before slowly following, intending to cover the rear as they ran. He was completely focused on his task before he heard the clang of metal breaking and hiss of pain, turning to see Canary stumble a bit before continuing to run. These idiots were quickly pissing him off more and more. A simple mission for peace was becoming a battle because of one idiot wanting to test Limen and someone else destroying the building from the outside. He would've blown the bloody place up if they didn't need it for the entire point of this mission.

Normally he'd have been able to catch the arrows without any problem. But whatever the bird threw at him had given his double vision a moment to return. His left hand was able to grab the first arrow that fired at him, but the right hand missed, grabbing the spot where his vision had spun as the blunt arrow slammed into where his flesh had been peeled off his body. A wound that was still healing.
He let out a pained cry as he snapped the caught arrow in his hand as Limen ran away. The momentary pride he'd felt at her standing up for something she believed in vanished when she darted away. Still unable to stand up for herself or those that she was working with. Though considering not a single one of them stood to fight showed that maybe she was in good company. He'd expected at least one of them to try and act as a gate keeper to buy them time.
Apparently they were all cowards.
He wasn't sure who the others were, causing the mist or making the building start to fall down. But apparently he wasn't the only one here to stop this. Though he was sure they cared more about the message than he did. All he wanted was to see Limen overcome her handicap.

Light walls, man.
Of all the powers she expected to come up against today, solid walls made out of light were not on her list. One of the Pandaemonium boys had something that could do this, which confirmed there were a bunch of supers here and not just a couple of circus performers.
Nemesis swung her bat a few times, mainly to prove it wasn't an illusion, but no. This wasn't breaking anytime soon. It already stopped her power, which made sense in a weird videogame sort of logic. She needed to try something else if the darkness was ever going to defeat the light. These villains weren't going to win.
Taking a seat on the floor, Nemesis closed her eye, and focused.

The sight of Gil running ahead of them, cutting them off in the stairwell, was not a deterrent for Limen. If anything, she picked up the pace, coming to a full-barreled sprint up the stairs. Wearing the same grin she had when she first entered the building, once she was within range, she lept from the stair she was on, her arms wide out in front of her. Her target was not to the side or even above Gil, but rather the Pandaemonium himself. All while yelling, “You’ll regret the day you ever crossed me, Hero King!”
The idea had occurred to her randomly, and she decided to go through with it. Just crazy enough that it might work sort of thing. And so Limen tackle hugged Gil.
Gil was quite a bit taller than Limen was, plus he was on a higher step, so it was a bit of a jump. She didn’t care, however, and was more than capable of making the leap. A hundred-ish pounds of saturated Limen would slam into his chest like a bear greeting a long-lost relative with the intent of knocking him to the ground.
Then, cheerfully, she’d get to her feet. There was still a message to send and no one was going to stop her from sending it. Not after she’d come this far (through a window and up some stairs).
Even so, she tugged on the back of his cloak as she walked past him up the stairs. “You are coming with me to spread the message of love and peace and to intimidate the guys in the recording room so they don’t bother us.” Obviously if he wasn’t coming on his own she wasn’t going to drag him (trying would be like attempting to push a boulder up a mountain and she hadn’t the time nor mind to attempt), but if he was following, it would clearly reflect in her enthusiasm.
A map at the top of the stairs stated the recording studio was the first door around the corner and a lit “ON AIR” sign confirmed it. Limen kicked down the door.
“Consider that microphone appropriated!” She yelled, stomping into the room. She pushed the man in front of the mic out of his seat and shooed the guest speaker away from hers, and took what was now properly property of Limen.
“Sorry to interrupt your scheduled broadcasting, people of Emerald City and bears in the mountains stealing our FM signals. Sure you won’t mind though. The bit I’ve got to say is way more interesting than,” she paused, turning to the man she’d just dethroned, “what were you guys talking about?”
“C-cats.” The man stuttered.
“Cats? This is way more interesting than cats, I’ll tell you what.” Limen continued into the mic. “Try dragons. Giant sky whale shark thing dragons. One specifically - I’m sure you all heard about it. Buuut,” she said dramatically, unhooking the mic from its holder and taking it in hand, “have you heard the truth? Unless you’ve got super friends or superpowers yourself, I bet not. Not the real truth. Well, Emerald City, this here is Limen, member of Pandaemonium, and I’ve got with me Sanduleak, Canary Claw, Gilgamesh, and a couple others I would bet good money. I know you’re here; you guys tried attacking us. If you’re hearing this, why don’t you come up to the recording studio? Fourth floor, the room that’s missing a door. We’ve got to tell the complete story of triumph and tragedy and I mean you’re already here.”
How to start, that was the question. She could just launch in, start with her own viewpoint, or... Her eyes locked with Sanduleak’s mask, and a sly smile spread across her face. “Yo, Sandy, why don’t you get us started off? You’re one of the brave supers who weathered a direct attack from the dragon.” There was probably a rustling sound on the other end of the radio as Limen shoved the microphone into her teammate’s hands. “Tell us how the dragon attack went down.”
It was in his hands now, literally.

Sanduleak quickly followed, not at all surprised by her tactic of tackle hug, instead just continuing after them occasionally flashing in walls to reinforce the building so the place wouldn't crash or fail before they got their message out. Freaking idiots, there was actual crap to discuss instead of cats...'less they were Big Martin's cause he made some big news but that was besides the point. Sanduleak was glad she adknowledged the other supers before the sly smile appeared and he felt slight fear before the mic was shoved into his hands and he was left silent for a moment. Thinking what the hell Limen, what should I say, and why the hell did he have the mic...Letting out a breath and bringing a chair into existence, he sat down and considered his words very carefully.
"Hello I'm...Sanduleak, a proud member of the Pandaemonium faction, I was also a witness and participant to the dragon fight that occurred a few weeks ago. Firstly, to all of the people who had the grave misfortune of losing someone, I would like to give a humble apology....We all tried to keep the damage to a minimum and though we were able to stop the occasional attack and stop it in the beginning, we failed at the part I will not deny it...I know what it is like to have lost someone to a Dragon attack and it is god damn unfair but do not blame us, we tried our damndest to kill it as fast as possible without any casualties...I would like to also discuss this is not my first encounter with one of these monsters, which is what they are, do not let any one tell you differently they are living weapons of mass destruction. When I was a young I experienced the loss of a very beloved loved one, so I understand your pain if one of it's attack did take out someone from your district and it is so god damn unfair but I repeat that you should not blame anyone. Even the Bulwarks experienced the loss of a comrade...Stunt Double, was young and a bit arrogant and idiot but he just wanted to be a hero and did not deserve that fate, he saved a life and should honestly be given some recognition for this feat."
Sanduleak took a slow breath once again, not wiping the tears coating his face, as he did not mean Limen and Canary but he'd sooner die than let these idiots at the station and Gil see this weak side. After his brief moment of silence he decided to continue.
"Now that I've gotten that out of the way I'll tell you bout the Dragon...Space whale though ridiculous was an apt description of it's appearance, and later there will be images of it on the internet and in the sky, I can promise you that so that you may see the thing that thirty brave Supers fought against. In the beginning it's focus was the cities and we had to get it's attention, for some reason it was not focused on supers which I would like the masses to keep in mind, thirty of the most famous and infamous supers in one location did not get it's attention immediately. After we did some form of harm to it, it decided to ascend and continue it's attempted barrage of the cities...Unfortunately we were unable to immediately stop all three of it's first cannons...flames and a beam of pure energy were the result of that mistake but we were able to stop it's next barrage successfully while also nearly killing it. Though in the process the Bulwark Titan suffered many lacerations to his arm while the super next to me, Gilgamesh, was inflicted with the literal death that was it's blood. When we finally truly got it's attention...I think a lot of us truly realized what we had gotten ourselves into...it's ability to manipulate space and time as simple as breathing...with blood as deadly as cyanide..."
He had to take another pause for a breath and to allow himself a brief moment to calm down, this was aggravating all of his injuries and mental scars. It was exhausting and he really shouldn't have been doing it at that moment but dammit he had come too far and these people deserved the unaltered truth.
"Ladies and gentlemen still listening I would like to state these are not exaggerations, if you think some of the supers of this city are horrible, that monstrosity became what I could only describe as an eldritch horror. I refuse to go into details about it's appearance, once more I shall release these images as I know some will want to witness them and I know for certain that I shall never forget it. It fought with every dying breath, focused on killing us all...I was coward I will admit, I had stayed at a distance assisting with all my power, it apparently decided I was too annoying...It teleported me from the ground into the sky, but it didn't stop there...it somehow displaced half my body. No pain I feel will ever compare to that moment of having my entire body completely out of sync, Misty informed that it was quite the miracle I had survived. I am unable to report the others injuries as I could only focus on wanting the damn thing dead. We finally killed it before it could release what could only be described as a blackhole and by some miracle only lost one of our own. The whole reason for this message is we do not the military or any other companies interfering with this truth. It is unknown whether supers truly attract them, but dammit we fought this one and we sure as hell will kill the next one. No one fucks with emerald city on our watch, it's many of our homes and you people deserve the truth of what the hell happened. The pain and fear many of us went through, and loss...I'm handing the mic off to someone else because I want to sleep after remembering this hell that will surely haunt my dreams like the last time I encountered a dragon."
A shaky hand placed the mic back into Limen's hand while he went out the room to work on barricading the entire building, keeping officers out for the moment while simultaneously constructing an accurate depiction of Cetus from his memory into the sky.

Bless Limen's randomness. As frustrating as it was, having her launch herself at Gilgamesh in a flying tackle-hug spared Canary the full brunt of his fist meeting her ribs. Otherwise, there would have been some broken bones instead of a sharp spasm of pain and things she didn't want ot think about. That would come later.
Whether the other supers arrive or not, she kept an eye on the workers inside the station broadcasting room as well as their guests. She was ready to take care of phone calls at a moment's notice, both to the station as well as those trying to call for the police. Or, you know, people deciding to interrupt them anyway. Thankfully, it didn't seem to be the case. Maybe it was the fact they were interrupting something on cats. This was more interesting, though people would likely think it a scam.
Sanduleak's speech was, in a word, wordy. Between his speech and Limen's, she was less than halfway through and she was doing exactly that, but without complaint. She didn't know the super who had died in the fight, didn't have the story of pain that spurred her on to talk about dragons. The play-by-play was a bit much, but again, she didn't blame him. It just meant she had to keep up with the hacking while he was talking. She glanced up once in a while to see if anyone else joined them, but so far, there'd been nothing except maybe Gilgamesh if he chose to come along.
When at last he was done, Canary stood upright and nodded at Limen, holding out her hand for the mic and taking it if the other girl was too slow.
“This is Canary Claw folks, and I want to start with a moment of silence now. For Stunt Double, who died fighting, and anyone else who did the same.” Her gaze went around the room as the moment passed, noting who stayed, who left, and who stared.
“Thanks to Sanduleak for sharing. I know this is probably a lot for everyone to process, and that's okay. What you need to remember is that you're human, and that's important.” She took a deep breath and plunge ahead.
“History has obliterated populations in the past, or come close to it, but humanity has always come back from it. A lot of people are suffering or grieving, but remember that no matter how scary things may seem now, no matter how much bigger things may seem than you, you're human. You can rise from the ashes.” Her gaze flickers around the room once more, gauging how safe it is for her to hand the microphone to Limen again and let the phones do their thing again. The station would probably be blowing up with calls the moment she did.
She stayed back afterward, hanging around for Limen to finish whatever it was she intended to say on her own. She'd come to support this endeavor, not star in it, and they knew more than she did. The city was gong to have a lot to sort through. She knew the feeling.
But at least the lies could stop.

Nemesis absently rubbed the back of her neck. While she still wanted to beat some sense into these idiots, the circumstances had changed.
If they only wanted to spread their message, then there was no point in stopping them. Honestly, she was not even certain if she could punish them for doing something she would have done. Trying to tell everyone about what happened with the dragon was a noble goal, even if they went about it the wrong way.. The break-in and assault should be enough to allow her power to work against them, but was it really worth continuing this conflict?
Letting any kind of criminals go free sounded wrong. . . but there must be something more dangerous going on that she should be worrying about instead. Staying here while some store down the street was burglarized would be a worse crime for more people. As wrong as it sounded, she had to ignore this for now.
“Next time” she said to no one in particular, as they weren't even in the same room. Nemesis had her black smoke restore some of damage the building had sustained in the past few minutes. At the very least, she could clean up a bit before moving on.

With all the chaos going on in the floors below, Unhallow hoped they could get to the stairs and cut off the ascending group before they could climb all the way up, but after a sudden burst of speed from that group it was becoming clear that wasn't happening. One of them even dropped pointy objects on the stairs to stop any further pursuit. Unhallow briefly considered going after them anyway to prevent the trio from causing a mass panic, but ultimately decided against it. There were other people on the stairs, and the stairs and the upstairs were all fairly close quarters. There would be no way for them to keep enough distance to avoid seriously hurting everyone here. In the end, it just wasn't worth it. Disappointed in themselves, Unhallow made their way back to the window. Now they just had to figure out how to get back down.
They listened to the speech carefully. It wasn't quite as bad as they were expecting, but it was still enough to make their stomach churn because of their failure. There was no benefit to talking about dragons. Anyone that saw the damage would know what happened to a degree, and everyone else didn't need to know. There was nothing the average person could do about the beasts, and announcing it to proclaim their own importance or to let other people know what they suffered through was ridiculous. There was no reason for it, it would accomplish nothing besides making people feel scared. That was the last thing the people of the city needed right now. All Unhallow could do was mentally curse themselves for not being fast enough as they made their way down the support beams of the fire escape.

This was it. The moment where Limen was going to show him what she was made of. He was glad to see that she was finally facing him head on. This is what he wanted to see from her. Win or lose, for a good cause or a selfish one. None of that mattered as much as her standing up and facing those that oppose her head on. He shifted his guard when she leaped through the air toward him. He was expecting her to bring the elbows in against both sides of his neck to put pressure on the arteries there.
What he was not expecting was a hug. And so he fell back on the stairs with her squeezing him with both of her arms. He could feel her strength and her slight weight on him as the stair he landed on dug into his back. He froze completely in place, his mind racing over what to do with this. He could bring his own hands up and snap her neck, he could use his legs to flip her over him and slam her into the stairs. He could bring his fists down and break her spine. He could do something about the heat that was rising up his neck to his cheeks.
The fuck is this about?
This was a fight! Why was she hugging him? Why was she hugging him still? How long had it been? Seconds? Minutes? Time had slowed down. The world had shrunk down to encompass just them. Him, the Warrior King and this tiny woman hugging him for some unknown reason... He slowly began to raise up an arm, but before he could do anything she got to her feet and the moment was over. He'd let the arm fall back to the ground, he'd been to slow to return the hug. But with the moment passed it was clear that was for the best.
"You've earned that much."
Her tactics were not what he expected but she'd faced him head on in her own way and that deserved some appreciation. And if that meant he'd loom and sneer at some sniveling weaklings, then so be it. He'd get up, dusting himself off as he cracked his neck on both sides. Following the small group of people up to the recording room.
He had nothing to add to this pointless waste of time. Going on about how dangerous the Dragon was would do nothing but make people cower in fear. Reassuring them that the Supers of the city would protect it would not inspire them to stand up on their own but rather foster resentment and dependence on them. Which was fine if that was the goal, but he doubted that. And lastly going into the personal toll on each of them came off as empty bragging. No one cared what they had gone through, or that one super had died. Not when so many people died in the attack. Everyone lost someone and this Super was nothing to most of them. Society barely tolerated supers, this wasn't the loss of an icon or a hero. It was just someone putting their friend up on a pedestal after death.
His only outward reaction to any of the speeches the group gave was a low growl when Sanduleak lumped him in with the other Supers. He didn't like being called one of those things, implying that he didn't work for his strength, for everything he had achieved. Like he had just woke up one day and suddenly everything was easy. Though leave it to someone like him to just assume anyone that was willing and able to stand up to something like that was a Super.
At least Canary made some sense with her speech. People needed to take action and stand up on their own. They were people, and they dominated this world. They were the ones with the power, not Dragons or any other mythical creature that wants to pop up. Her speech was thankfully brief as well, he hadn't known that he was gonna stand here while everyone passed the mic around for a group therapy session. If offered the Mike himself he'd just shake his head no and stay silent. He had nothing to say to this city.
