It was a little after the sun had just dipped below the horizon. Deep shades of red were now at war with the ever encroaching darkness in the sky, the stars rapidly reinforcing the presence of night. Some street lamps were flickering on while others remained off, their sensors still amid deciding if it was quite dark enough. The stores within were also signalling their closing, clamouring voices requesting the lingering sorts to vacate the premises or risk being locked in, security wandering back and forth to ensure the civilians did make their way out. With dwindling numbers, people started heading home, be they customers to the mall, loitering children who'd played tardy with their school day or even the workers within.
Outside the mall, atop one of the scenic trees dotting the sides of the street, a small curious pair of eyes peeked out from the foliage, watching as people made their way out from the mall. The dainty creature could only ponder what marvels were within such a gigantic structure. Though the land of her birth had things called 'malls', they were hardly to the glamorous standard of this place. The people leaving seemed so happy, satisfied or inundated with baggage from their shopping sprees. Her mind could only process what was within. As one individual passed by, she glanced into one of their shopping bags, spotting assorted groceries within.
In a quick succession of actions, the little fairy vanished into thin air, rendering herself completely invisible. She fluttered down from her hiding place, taking a position next to the shopping back she spotted, following the carrier. She began to eye up a packet of cookies that rested at the top of the back, taking no time to decide that she wanted them and diving in without alerting the carrier to her actions. With some careful planning and finesse though, she raised the pack out without rustling the bag, taking care to watch around her. When she was convinced there was nobody watching, she hoisted to pack out and it seemed to vanish into thin air also, embracing the cloak the fairy had raised.
With cookies in hand, she flew back to her perch in the tree, and snugly wedged the cookies in between branches. She let out a small squeal of delight, eager to sample to flavours of foreign brand biscuits, and practically tore the packet open, snagging a cookie in both arms. Despite the cookie being much the same size as her torso, this didn't daunt the young fairy. With jaw open, she chomped down, taking a small chunk of biscuit and even smaller chunk of chocolate chip with it. The taste was... marvellous. She couldn't put it very eloquently, but her actions would've spoken what was needed. A palm to the cheek, a delighted smile as she swallowed and a rapid flapping of her wings...
In this particular state of night though, the flapping of her wings produced some particularly vivid sparkles, an aspect of her unique powers she was unable to control. The sparkles drifted down from the branches like glitter, some being caught up in the foliage, but the vast majority still escaping to the ground below. The fairy was unaware of potentially giving herself away, but the sky was rapidly getting dark, and her flapping would only continue to produce a magical stream of particles below.

A glass doll held in her arms, Monody chose a spot where the could oversee a rather vulnerable and busy place in Emerald City: the mall. How easy of a target it would be to destroy. To take over. Not to mention the large crowd of easily impressed individuals that were vulnerable and could most likely succumb to her powers. They'd make for weak servants, and not all to pretty ones either, but any amount of innocents could aid Monody in her wicked plans.
But not today.
No, today she'd rather relax and enjoy the view of peace and tranquility. Leisure. Happiness. She wanted this scene to be engraved into her mind so when all chaos broke out there'd be a reason to laugh. To remember. A city under her control would surely be beautiful. Wonderful. Magnificent. Except that would take a while to climb to. And she was willing to wait as long as the painful trip - for others, of course - took. Shoes clicking against sidewalk, she swerved and walked across a busy street - though not so busy due to it being nighttime - to inspect a light that'd piqued her interest. Her emerald orbs held a ominous shine to them as did her choice of attire: crop top, platform boots, and a mini-skirt. Your basic goth rebel if stereotypes were to describe her appearance. Pigtails bouncing, arms tightening hold on her beloved doll, Monody eventually made way to the tree and had no problems with making out the tiny, sparkly silhouette - who most likely hadn't seen her yet as she came from behind - with such an analytical mind and perceptive eyes.
She put on her face of an innocent before lifting her body weight upwards with only the tip of her toes. A simple effort. Doll in one hand she used the other to poke whatever figure emitted such lively colors. A firefly? No, no, they wouldn't have been so bright. Of course it also could've just been a regular old light used to highlight the sides of the streets. "What cute little creature do we have here, hmmm?" Brows raised, curiosity enhanced, Monody was more than convinced that this "firefly" was much more than it seemed from afar. How peculiar! It wasn't everyday she got to meet something that could be derived from her childhood fantasies!
From when they weren't completely crushed, that is.

It was Friday night. Friday night meant two things; tomorrow was the weekend, and today he had to take care of some shopping before he went off to his night classes. Normally the student would have gone to the mall, dropped one to two hundred of his aunt’s dollars on food, made it back to his abode and his aunt’s large boarding home, and then back into town via public transport before that 5:30 deadline. Today, however, his usual schedule hadn’t gone off as usual.
Kasty had spent his morning after class getting so engaged in a large history paper due Monday that he completely lost track of time and missed his usual bus. “That’s alright,” he had thought to himself, “this just means I’ve got twenty more minutes to work. I’ll find a nice spot to sit and wait for the next one”. History repeated itself, and he missed the next bus as well.
Already an hour behind schedule, Kasty rushed through the shopping list. It was hard to keep everything on those long and varied lists straight in head to begin with, and while he remembered the usual things - three dozen eggs, lots of bacon, milk, those cookies his aunt loved - the random items the other tenants had ordered got twisted up in his mind and not once, but twice forgotten until he was halfway through the checkout line.
But at last he was out. Out and stacked to the nines with shopping bags - three were held in one hand, two in the other, and one was stuffed into his shoulder bag. His sword bag and the two swords within bumped against his back as he made his way through a recently discovered short cut. It was through a park, even! No rushing by cars to ruin the groceries in rain, and the trees provided a moment of quiet before he had to return to the bustle of the city.
Poor luck wasn’t done with him yet tonight, however. Kasty was so glad to be on his way home at last that he wasn’t being very observant. He was completely unaware of the little cookie thief until he saw a bright light out of the corner of his eye. The student paused, squinting at the small illuminant in the branches. There was nothing else similar in the trees around it, nor had he seen anything quite like it before. His curious self told him to go over and look.
And so he did. Kasty stepped off the paved track into the cooling grass, walking towards the tree until he could make out a… small person? Kasty blinked. Yes, that was certainly a small, shining person, who also seemed share his aunt’s preference in cookies. On a whim, he looked down at his bag where the clerk had set those cookies on top. He looked back at the fairy. No, those were exactly the cookies his aunt liked, because those were the cookies he had bought!
“Hey! Those are mine!” Kasty yelped, setting one hand of bags on the ground and then the other, sliding his school bag off to place beside them as well. With his mind on the cookies, Kasty was completely unaware of the other person there until he had jumped onto the lowest branch of the tree and begun to pull himself up. When he did see her dark figure, those two different eye colors, a breath caught in his throat. Was that who he thought it was?
This was ignoring the fact of the tiny little person in the tree. He guessed it was only a matter of time before his day got weird. Still, he found himself dumbly and quietly asking (mostly to the normal-sized human but somewhat to the small one also, though she was raising a whole other set of questions), "Who..?"

It was Lobisomem's time of day, when the sun didn't glare down at them. They lingered where no eyes would glare or stare, at least until people were likely sleeping. As soon as they were certain nobody would see them, they crept through the market, there had to be something edible and easy to steal out here, right!?
Strangely enough, despite their affinity for the darkness, they treaded around patches of black, even when it would be beneficial to hide in the black. They rushed slightly, stomach's churning prompting them forward.
Still, luck was not on their side tonight. All the stores either had too many eyes or cameras, or were simply too fortified to break into without attention, and Lobisomem felt like feeding in peace for once.
Suddenly, their eyes, suited for the dark, caught just the tiniest glimmer. What was that? They crept toward it, low enough to be crawling on four legs as they circled the tree. Their ears perked as a boy ran over, yelling to the little light that it was holding his cookies.
Lobisomem dove into the darkest place they dared, red eyes wide as they studied the show before them. As the boy climbed, they looked up the tree, spotting a tiny person and some strange girl with even stranger eyes.
A low growl escaped their lips, they weren't sure why, but they had a feeling going hungry wasn't going to be their worst problem tonight.

She continued to munch away, still oblivious to her own involuntary actions and the attention it was drawing. The rather vivid sparkles she emanated had betrayed her position in the tree and two individuals (and one hungry creature) had caught sight of her. More than she was used to dealing with, any way. She was normally so much more careful with her snack thievery but the excitement of being in a new country altogether had overtaken her. She continued to nip away at the cookie, rapid flutters following each bite until she finally heard the agitated voice below declaring ownership over something. She froze in place, finally taking notice of her lack of protection in the trees but she thought little of it. Perhaps the big humans were just agitated at one another below...
But when the whole tree started to shake from the boy clambering atop it, his eyes in full contact of her diminutive but luminescent form, she froze completely, right down to her expression. Her grip on the cookie was loosened, allowing it to be shaken free thanks to the cumbersome human clambering up, sending it tumbling down onto his head. Knowing she'd been rumbled, she turned, very janky and deliberate movements signifying her worry. She looked down at who had caught her, her expression shifting from fear to absolute panic as her pupils dilated at the sight of two humans staring straight at her. Both of them had taken a curiosity in her and for the fairy, that usually meant flyswatters, sprays or worse... glass bottles.
She took action though, ready to defend what was rightfully hers. She turned and dove for the cookie pack, hoisting it precariously upright and hugging the packet tightly. If they were to look close enough, they'd see a determined look on her little face, ready to defend her cookies. How she would do it? The patterns on her wings began to shift, the hue upon them shifting to a shade of red to indicate agitation. "These cookies are mine!" she yelled at her would be attacker, her voice projecting just as well, if not better, than a full grown adult. After shouting, she began to growl fiercely, or as fiercely as a little cute fairy could, much like the creature observing them in the distance.

A wave of pleasure surged through Monody's body upon recognition. Someone knew her. That really was charming, and it meant she was slowly becoming known. Of course she'd be in charge soon enough but that was besides the fact. How lovely it was to be known in a sense. Who was he exactly? A fanboy? Rumor spreader? Journalist? Monody scanned him for more than enough time and even kept her eyes glued to the boy as she spoke. "How rude of you to take a poor, little creature's cookie! Why she's only a few inches tall! Go buy some more and spare her sweet, innocent feelings. Cookies aren't that much anyways. Are you really going to put up a fight with a girl so magnificent and adorable? Why, that'd make you seem like a villain to a crowd if drawn up, wouldn't it?" Monody mused, placing a hand on her hip while holding a simple expression: no deviousness or evil or mistrust-worthiness could be derived from her body language nor facial expressions. "In fact I'll buy you more if that's what you want, kid. Since I know how it feels to be put in the wrong... Everyone assumes me a villain by the way I walk or talk or dress. It's sad really. Obviously I'm a good person, just a tad rebellious is all."
Twirling her pigtails, she curled her dark red painted lips upwards in a smile of friendliness rather than amusement - like the emotion that currently glimmered in her dark orbs - when the fairy attacked the poor, clearly defenseless stranger. She finally approached the boy whom she'd been keeping her emerald eyes on. "It's Monody. But I'm sure you already guessed that? Look, let's start off on a clean slate. All of us. I really would hate to see a fight go on tonight. I'll even buy more cookies for you! If that helps." Monody implied, raising her voice and directing it towards the fairy in attempts to break up the fight. "I've just been so-" She paused as tears fell down her pale cheeks, lips quivering and head shaking as she turned her body and wiped away tears. In reality, of course, she felt excitement upon remembering the blog posts and small, petty news reports about herself that nearly nobody believed, or were skeptical enough to begin pondering about. Acting never hurt every once in a while, though, especially since she happened to be a master in the field. "Never mind. Don't go thinking I'm weak or anything..." Monody muttered and gripped her doll, leaning against the tree with her back turned to the boy. Thus leading up to the moment when she lifted her piercing eyes and focused on a spot in the dark. Now she was no cat but there was definitely someone there. Monody tilted her head and then waved. If it was nothing than oh well. If it were something or someone...?
The more allies the merrier.

Good person his ass, if the rumors of Monody held true. Kasty made it his business to know as much as he could about as many supers as he could muster (which usually meant spending the quiet parts of his afternoon flipping through social media for any strange rumors on his phone), and what little he knew of her was not fitting of the “good person” title. The problem was, she was making a convincing argument. Those cookies were all but lost at this point. It was like a law of food; whomever opened the packaging claimed the contents as their own, and there was little point in the “true” owner attempting to get them back. This still meant he’d have to go back into the mall, find more cookies, and wait in line again before he could get on with his standard evening.
“Fine, fine.” Kasty said, rubbing his eyes, which had grown sore from the bright and vibrant colors. He had a slight smile and a bit of a chuckle to his voice, mostly at the cute little girl’s attempt at intimidation. Maybe it was so intimidating that the number had rolled over and was now counting towards her adorableness. “You’ve won this round, Fairy. Keep my cookies.” He shrugged. “I’ll just go buy some more.” (Though he did like the thought of the super in her fancy super outfit going shopping for just some random cookies.)
But perhaps more pressing issues had already arisen. He was just now realizing that he had run into Monody, a super whom he knew little but only villainous things about, and a little fairy girl that couldn’t be anything other super as well. Suddenly, he was feeling very nervous. What if he was attacked? He became very aware of the long and thin black bag still on his back. It wasn’t harm he was afraid of - he was fairly good at avoiding that - but pitting a civilian against a super in even a chase scene was a bad call. He felt vulnerable.
All of this had been churned through Kasty’s head before Monody continued, but as soon as that first tear came, all of that was dropped from the student’s mind. “Monody-” he said, reaching an arm out but too far to touch her. Of all the things he had been expecting - a swift vanishing into the darkness, a debate about the proper ownership of small pastries, a knife to the back - tears had not been one of them. He wasn’t sure what had brought upon the super’s sadness, but he had to try to aid her.
He glanced at the fairy and mouthed “help”. Kasty took several steps forward in the soft park grass until he was within arm’s reach of Monody. His faced was worried. Placing a hand on her shoulder, he said softly, “Why would I think you were weak?”
Focused as he was, his eyes lifted with hers into the dark of the forest. The red of the fairy’s wings still hadn’t left his eyes, but he could still make out some kind of form? Mass? In the shadows. If the mass was an animal or a person, he couldn’t say, but in his experience civilians didn’t hang out ominously in the shade of forests. What, was there going to be another one?!
Kasty was turning into the conveyor of stereotypical comments tonight. “Who’s there?” He called into the darkness.

Lobisomem watched and waited, trying to calm their breathing as it hit them, they were in the presence of Monody. As a wanderer of the night even they had heard of Monody from the mouths of various sources, with her horrible songs and terrible deeds.
The uneasy feeling swirled even deeper as she waved at them. Waved! With an almost inaudible whimper, they pushed back as if to avoid view, tail wrapping protectively around their legs. This was a bad idea, what did they have to gain from this anymore, save for being sung to death by some crazy girl!?
They scoffed at Monody's "tears", too sudden, nobody could burst like that to a total stranger! Was she going to hurt this kid!? They were certain this little fairy could get away, but if Monody intended to harm him...
No. They couldn't go seen tonight. They were tired of the screaming and the gunshots, and finally, the following hunger... Please, just one peaceful night.
Despite their hopes, it looked like their wishes would be dashed once again. The boy whirled around, aiming a shout right at them.
They couldn't help it, they let out a surprised yelp and stumbled backward, tripping across their own tail and falling into the deep shadow in the trees.
Their chest felt like fire the moment they left the light, prompting a pained groan as their body twisted and grew, leaving a beast to emerge into their sight.
Panic filled their eyes as they looked down at themselves. Here!? Now!? The panic turned to the watching people. Oh shit, please don't see a dragon, their eyes begged but would likely go unheard.

The fairy was surprised, usually it took longer to ward off the humans but her little visual display paid off once more, the boy declaring her victory and leaving her with her rightful snacks. But although she took care to slot the cookies back into the branch mount, there was one far more pressing matter. She'd never been caught in such a manner before. In the streets of London, it was usually just one silly human wandering too close and catching a glimpse of her, only to be blasted with swathes of powder and having their minds wiped of ever seeing her. Today, she was caught by two people, for the very first time, and even the dimwitted fairy knew there'd be no way to hide herself now. She paced back and forth along the branch, trying to work up a plan to hide herself from the public eye yet again, while the human boy below dropped to address the high emotional girl.
But she quickly dove down onto the branch, belly first, listening to what they had to say to each other. The girl was particularly loud and dressed oddly, declaring a whole manner of different things along with the odd accusation to the boy, and he seemed to be thrown off by it all. As he looked up to the fairy for aid, all he would get back was a slight head tilt, and her wings gaining a slight green tint, question marks appearing as patterns upon them. The fairy didn't have a clue what she was watching at this point, but it was certainly engaging enough. There was something odd about these humans, they carried themselves in a unique way and their personalities were nothing like any she'd seen before. This is acknowledging though that Marisae had no idea what supers were.
She continued to observe from above, at some point having snagged another cookie when nobody was watching, her eyes following where Kasty was looking when he seemed to taken notice of the beast in the darkness. For a brief second, Mari saw the eyes of Lobisomem watching in the darkness, but then froze absolutely, sending another partially munched cookie tumbling down upon the boy below. The sight of the beast was naturally a terrifying sight to a small creature. In simple survival terms, big creature usually eats small creature and Mari knew she was the latter. Despite the look of panic and fear on the beast, the fairy began to shift small branches and twigs, their accompanying foliage shielding her from sight.
She was so lost in fear that she'd forgotten she could turn invisible.

Small water droplets fell down her pale cheeks before dripping from her cheeks, leaving her to wipe them away with the back of her hands. How easy it was to receive pity from others. And this one, he seemed rather caring and sensitive to emotions. Wasn't that perfect? The fairy hadn't been as knowledgeable as Monody once assumed, but being naive wasn't a bad thing necessarily. In fact, it was a good trait for a follower to have. "Crying is a sign of weakness... Isn't it?" She wondered aloud, voice raspy and low, lips quivering as she wrapped arms around her body in a self-hug of sorts, doll pressed against her chest. Monody made herself smaller. Made herself seem smaller. While in reality she enjoyed the show she had already managed to put on. Nobody could beat Monody herself in the game of persuasion. "I-I just wish I w-wasn't such a bad person to people."
Keeping her head bowed slightly, Monody lifted emerald orbs to gaze in the direction of the figure she'd waved towards. "Mmm, that's what I was wondering." She replied in a hushed tone; Her aura and expressions continuing to be that of someone who felt weak and sad, now also mixing with suspiciousness. Eesh, someone or something happened to be pretty dang anti-social. And rude. Not even a word back or an attempt to approach. Lifting her body to its full height, Monody swiveled and forgot the unknown figure. Instead she searched for the fairy. Poor thing. So tiny and useless in the midst of a night creature. Funny how high-and-mighty she seemed earlier when fighting for a mere cookie. Would she had done the same if fighting against this odd stranger? Since she'd disappeared, Monody had to speak a bit loudly and moved around in attempts to search for the tiny winged girl. "Hey. I-I'm not exactly sure where you are but it's okay to come out, sweetie. I'll take care of you if anything goes wrong. W-We can protect each other! You were so tough up against that boy... You don't need to be scared now, especially when you've got two pals on your team." Monody winked in the direction of the boy, playfully punching one of his shoulders. "Right?"
Monody definitely wasn't scared of any of these fools. But she'd stick around for entertainment, because this surely has turned out to be fun so far~

The fairy proved to be no more help than a pretty light show, and so it was up to Kasty. He would have disagreed with her on the weakness of crying, and would have said something to express that opinion. Tears were perfectly natural - easier coming to some, sure, but that was little more gauge of who a person was than if they turned red when embarrassed. He also would’ve said something along the lines of “it’s you who decides how you treat people”; indeed, these words were on the tip of his tongue when the inkling of a form he had made out prior began to shift and change, growing larger; beastiel. His words caught in his throat for the second time this evening. However, unlike his encounter with Monody, Kasty found himself unable to look away. His eyes were locked with the creature's. His first impression was that which the super feared.
Kasty flipped through what he knew of dragons. Big. Scary. Never looked the same. Damn hard to fight. Under other circumstances, Kasty would have jumped at the opportunity to come face to face with such an entity, but there were people around; not much for civilians, but witnesses certainly. Civilians, on meeting a dragon, were sure to be staring death in the face, and Kasty was stiff with the feeling. The being now morphed and well within his view, the student took a step back and had to force himself not to reflexively grab the bag on his shoulder. His face betrayed his thoughts.
And then another cookie fell on his head. This made twice now that the fairy had dropped her - his - food on him, and he was almost wondering if this was means of rubbing her victory in his face. By dropping it on his head. Kasty put a hand where the baked good had bounced off him and shot a glare up at the fairy in the tree.
He was given a moment of pause. His fear broken, he thought about the strange being before them, and realized that there was no way this could be a dragon. Surely, if it was, it would’ve attacked by now. Also, while the being was big, Kasty was under the impression that dragons were of the very large size.
Kasty realized Monody was saying something, mostly because she playfully punched him. “Right.” He replied absently, his tone clear that his mind was elsewhere. It was fear in the being’s eyes, not unlike what he was feeling a moment ago. Kasty forced his posture to relax and straighten, and a soft smile to cross his face. He didn’t know what they were or if they were cause for harm, but now that he was fairly certain they weren’t the large cause of harm that was a dragon, he was feeling significantly more confident.
“You alright? You look like you tripped there.” He called to the being. Would they understand human speech? He had no idea. Perhaps he should try to be as broadly friendly as possible. What was universally friendly? Food. He’d gotten some chips from the mall, and being partial to the ranch flavor, figured anyone would like them as well.
He looked once to the bags forlorned in the grass and then back at the being before trotting over to where the lumps of plastic lay. As he was digging through them, however, another light caught the corner of his eye. He squinted.
It was a flashlight, recently clicked on and now swinging back and forth over the trees and down the trail which it seemed to be coming down. Attached to the light was a tall and broad frame, adorned with a decorated jacket and belt. It was a policeman, and he was coming towards them.
Kasty doubted he had seen them yet, and he was very keen on keeping it that way, more out of habit than anything else. Cursing under his breath, he scooped up his bags and hurried the short ways back to the small group. He tapped Monody on the shoulder. “Policeman coming.” He said, probably more quietly than necessary. Running somewhat unstable due to the weight of his bags, Kasty made a ditch for the foliage not far to the left of Lobisomem.
ooc: Thought I'd add a hopefully unifying factor to the mix. Of course, feel free to control the policeman~

Lobisomem had started baring their fangs and raising to their full height, full expecting the boy or Monody to scream or attack, either would attract unwanted attention.
Instead, the boy asked them if they were OK! What the heck!? Their mouth opened and closed as if they were going to answer with a voice before they simply nodded, sure, it was just a little fall.
They stayed hidden as the boy started digging through his bags, untrusting of letting Monody see them. What was he even planning on doing, feeding them!? What a joke, what was with this kid!?
Suddenly, he ran back, whispering something about a policeman. They raised their head to see a flashlight, great!
They ran to where the boy ran, uncaring if Monody saw them as they laid flat, hoping their black fur would hide everyone and closing their eyes to render their red eyes invisible.

The fae had rapidly fallen into insignificance amid the crowd, but for her, presently trying to hide her entire form away behind some branches and leaves, that was simply a good thing. An ironic victory, hopefully the humans (and the monster) would forget about her and just leave her be. But it wasn't to be. Though the boy she'd stolen from had since given up on aggravating her, the shrill girl still seemed interested in where she was, prompting a brief rustling of leaves as the tiny girl shifted herself to glance back down at Monody.
All of her brief speech was confusing. The fairy had long forgotten what such things meant. Friends, protection and even those odd words she was using like 'sweetie' to refer to her. It was like an alien language to her. But it piqued her curiosity in ways she could explain. Looking back at the boy and the beast, the pair seemed to be getting better acquainted, but in the eyes of Marisae, the boy was just stupidly giving himself up as a meal. But still, with an (unwitting) human shield against danger, she relaxed, the branches released and flicking back into place.
She finally made a decision, one that she'd probably regret in the long run but it was made in the heat of the moment. Grasping her cookie packet from its safe wooden cove, she fluttered down with it, perching her petite form atop the head of Monody, fulfilling the latter's wish of finding out where she'd gone off to. Now, while she wasn't exactly familiar of the idea of friendship anymore, she still had a good spirit in her. She began to dangle the cookie packet in the face of Monody. "Y'wanna cookie?" she asked, plain and simple. Sadly, the cookies wouldn't remain aloft long enough for Monody to take her up on the offer.
Upon noticing the boy wander up and utter 'policeman', the fairy made strike three on her cookie quota. The packet dropped down in front of Monody, the little fae vanishing into thin air again but still rather obviously resting atop Monody's head. Though invisible, the tiny creature was simply observing now, having encountered many a 'policeman' in her time. They were the most common foe to deal with, and she'd already devised many methods to evading the fuzz. While the copper approached, the little fae was making ready to strike if she needed to...

"Hey." Monody spoke softly, wiggling her fingers to present a friendly wave for the fairy that now reemerged from behind cover. Her words must've worked to an extent because now the tiny girl was giving up what she'd originally fought for. Not that Monody had the chance to receive the treat. Though the offering meant that the fairy was warming up to the presence of others, perhaps with even the concept of sharing. As unlikely as that sounded. A short laugh - filled to the brim with true amusement - emitted from Monody as she covered her mouth to muffle the rather loud giggles. No wickedness or harshness or any sorts of evil could be taken from the sound. Not every aspect of Monody shouted 'villain!' all the time, after all. She could act good and she could be good; More of the former than the latter, but those who'd spread rumors clearly hadn't seen this side of the raven-haired woman. Monody realized she had to prove the public wrong before she could act upon her own schemes. It'd take a while and slow her hard work down, yes, but wouldn't be difficult to pull off at all. Not to mention everything she could achieve from doing so.
"It'll be fine." She shrugged, not even turning to meet the boy's eyes after he tapped her shoulder. Not that she'd be able to anyways seeing as he fled for cover only seconds after informing the dysfunctional group. Police men were nothing to be afraid of or to be worried about. Of course she'd rather avoid them with others around, Monody had learned to live with the nuisances who seemed to be interested in even the least suspicious of activities. Tonight wouldn't be the best night to enact with violence or to use her powers at all. Monody wasn't in the mood and still happened to be tired from the day's activities. "Upsey daysey." She muttered to the fairy atop her head only after moving away from the boy and unidentified creature. Monody carefully lifted herself into the nearby tree - the one where she'd found the fairy - with such ease that the action seemed impossible to the eye. Climbing rather high where the foliage was thickest, dark clothes and hair hiding parts of her figure, Monody knew that the idiot wouldn't dare waste his time searching trees.
Except she left her doll on the ground.
ooc: Leaving the player of "Kasty", and anyone else who will, to play the copper :3 Also, I forgot (in the first post) to add that both of Monody's eyes are currently green. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Kasty gazed over the wolf-like (but oddly scaly) being at the coming policeman. His destination seemed to be the tree the four of them had, one way or another, come to meet around. When he was perhaps five feet away, he stopped. The light was shown across the landscape not once but twice. Each time it neared, Kasty ducked down lower. The man, seemingly satisfied, whistled the jingle to a currently running ad campaign. “Fast Cars are the only way to go…”, now he was going to have it stuck in his head.
The policeman waited, checked his watch, and then whistled the tune again. This time, from across the grassway, a bush rustled. A dark figure emerged and paced towards the waiting policeman. The new arrival was a muscular but oddly short man, dressed in an old grey t-shirt and contrastingly high-quality jeans. He was looking away like he was pretending not to notice the policeman, but it’d be clear to anyone watching that the cop was the reason he was here.
“You got the cash?” The man in the t-shirt asked absently, as though he was questioning the wind. The policeman dug into his pocket and pulled out a thick wad of hundred dollar bills. By Kasty’s not necessarily reliable estimates, that was at least five thousand dollars.
“All of it.” The policeman replied. The man in the t-shirt took the wad and thumbed through it. He nodded contently to himself and swapped the wad into his bag for a small bound notebook. He held it out to the policeman.
“That’s the location. All of the weapons are in place and tested, one hundred percent guaranteed to work.” the man in the t-shirt cracked a sly smile. “But of course, if you’re not happy, you know where to take your complaints. I tell you, Boss is bending over backwards to make sure you buy again. So do, okay?”
The policeman matched his smile with a softer, contemplative one, and took the notebook. “I’m certain I will.”
The man in the t-shirt waved and walked off down the path, and the cop turned to leave. Only then did he pause, his eyes catching something - he walked closer to the tree. His light focused on the doll, left strewn on the ground. “Stupid kids, leaving their junk scattered about…” The policeman muttered, giving the doll a light tap with his foot that was more sad than the kick that he’d intended.
The cop seemed to catch himself from looking back at the direction the man in the t-shirt walked away in, and then turned and made to leave himself.
Neither person had left in a particular hurry, surly either could be easily caught up with if one so wished, especially if one so happened to possess super powers. Kasty was clueless as to what to do. He looked around to the other three present and waited for their reactions.
ooc: pfft there you go : P
