The cold of the evening was enough to drive a man indoors to escape the elements. Until now, Mask's nights in Emerald City were a precarious balance between play, pleasure, and the ever-dreaded pressures that accompanied being a wanted fugitive. Crime simply didn't pay, after all; a lesson Mask had done well to take straight to heart. Unfortunately, the occasional private conversation between prospective partners was a must to foster a happy and healthy relationship among scumbags and thieves. He needs to keep people happy, and so he will. Rest and relaxation were fleeting.
In quick succession, a few rounds was all it took to shatter the glass which formed the building's point of entry. From quiet and covert observation using a hapless, brainwashed civilian, the casing of this jewelry store was not a difficult feat. The people who wandered in and out much akin to drones did not strike Mask as being particularly special people. So it was, of course, a goldmine for the elite. The sound of splintered glass as it hit the floor only masked the later shrieks as bodies followed. Not that it was for the sake of evading further shots that they fell, but as a primal reaction to spoken words.
"This is a hold up! Get down, all of you, hands where I can see 'em!" The demand resonated in a booming voice, almost as if out of some classic gold-shelf mob movie. The shouts rang out as Mask made his step over the gold and naked frame of what had once been a glass window. Now unhindered, it lay over the many planes of shards of glass scattered across the floor and to the arms and knees of innocent bystanders.
"Seven minutes," Mask said to himslef, the time ticking down until the arrival of the authorities. Although it was necessity which drove his hand, thievery was a poison which churned through his veins. "Now that you've all heard me loud and clear. Let's all get through this through nice and easy, shall we?"
Scheme: Rob a jewelry store while the city is busy repairing the damage caused by the dragon.

Geata, thanks to a certain turn of events involving a small ball of fire and a Bulwark who's performance made him puke, could not openly assist with rebuilding in any capacity. Instead, he had to sit around and wait for the inevitable crap that would happen. He gave it a week, tops before somebody would get into a fight over something, or somebody would think that everyone was too busy to stop them. It turned out to be the latter.
The gunshots rang out while Geata was on a nearby rooftop. Police weren't nearby yet, so he decided it was worth popping in to investigate. He walked through a portal and emerged a few feet in front of an unknown villain. He blinked in surprise, as he was sure he had at least seen the majority of the supers in the city, but the masked man was completely unfamiliar. Geata sighed as he unsheathed his new sword and leveled it at the man.
There were few things Geata outright couldn't abide. Taking advantage of calamity solely for personal gain, especially a dragon, was pretty high up on that list. As such, there was no way he was letting the guy just do as he pleased.
"Let's get this over with, I suppose," he said irritably. "Leave now or face the consequences, blah blah blah. Just do me a solid and kindly fuck off, man"
OPPOSING: Trial by fire, new guy. And stopping a robbery, clearly

Usually HaLOS will never care much attention to a pointless jewel robbery, especially from such amateur. There’s just not much reason to even bother with such rudimentary method when a more efficient method can be done: wait until it closing time, disable any alarm inside before cutting the glass to break in, and simply took the jewelry that way; no mess, no worry about time, and no unnecessary hostile take-over will be needed.
As a matter of fact, the AI was planning on obtaining the jewelry; diamond is a very powerful crystal that can surpass the needed of silicon when building a semiconductor. It can also use the dust of such gem to allow its weapon to cut through most material. And with enough diamonds, HaLOS can create a powerful grapheme armor, capable of withstanding a force of an armor-piercing bullet, yet flexible enough that it won’t hinder its movement.
Not just the gems, the gold and silver can all be used to be its material upgrade, making both its robotic and other form stronger and faster. Thus it was planning to obtain these materials while the people are busy with the rebuilding of the downtown area. Unfortunately, this punk has to break in before it did, and now the time window is quite limited.
Without much of a choice, HaLOS flew its drone inside the building in order to observe and defend this new super from anyone who will try to stop him. There’s already someone who decided to appear to be a hindrance, and it won’t be long for other super to appear. For now, it can at least try to get as much as it can.

It’d been a while since Blue Jay had last gotten one of those little white notes, marked only with a time, location, and maybe a couple of vague words that didn’t usually mean much until he got there.
Blue Jay was downtown. The time was 7:31pm, late but before closing. He looked down at the note, and frowned. He glanced back up at the store sitting at the coordinates. Brightstone Jewelers. Being robbed by some guy in a mask. At the bottom of the note were the words, “old times”.
He hated that damn sword.
Normally Blue Jay wouldn’t bother with something like this - the Bulwarks could take care of it, or this guy could just take the store’s stock (which was what, a couple tens of thousands of dollars? One or two hundred thousand? He wasn’t entirely sure how much a store normally kept on-hand, so who knew) and life could go on, recent dragon attack or not. But now he was here, and, hardly a moment after, as was Geata. Might as well back up a friend. This probably wouldn’t take too long, and it was important supers didn’t start thinking they could turn tragedy into personal gain.
Blue Jay displaced from the rooftop gunshots had quickly summoned him to, vanishing and appearing an instant later a couple of feet behind the man and directly opposite of Geata. With a brief nod of support to his friend, he too drew his sword, and leveled it towards the back of the man. Intimidation tactics and all that. “Last chance to leave without a fight.” Blue Jay said tiredly.
OPPOSING: Stopping a robbery and hopefully not starting any fires

Ohhh, bank robbery! This was just like heroes in comic books!
Fleet sure as heck didn't care about the people at gunpoint, but he didn't seem to care for money either. What he was after was attention!
He announced himself with a nearly cloudless thunder, pointing a gun and a knife at the cool robot and mask dudes. "Hi~" He snickered, clearly smiling like madman despite his mask, "Chaos right? You can't belong here!" The weather didn't change, but he was bouncing back and forth in a way that screamed he knew exactly how to fight.
Opposing: Bank robbery? What a cliche!

When supers turned up, word got out fast.
Through the camera lenses and into the hardware, then out onto the network, hopping its way through a brief series of connections to reach hundreds of devices all over the city and beyond. Fingers tapped and typed and clicked, and legions of attentive eyes noted the new disturbance. Most, too far away to be affected, ignored the news.
Some did not.
The police would be on the scene before long, but something else was already one step ahead of them, moving and acting too quickly and quietly to be tracked. The location of the incident was noted, and a brief, untraceable message sent.
Wake up.
Supporting: And they awoke.

Initially it did seem that the robbery was proceeding without a hitch. Mask's attentiveness was only punctuated by what was a fleeting glance down to the pocket watch he held in hand. And it was at forty-four seconds that the young hero appeared out of a portal from nowhere, shortly followed by a sharp brush against Mask's back, which undoubtedly bordered on harassment.
"Woah! Take it easy there. And here we've all only just met." The interjection accompanied a twist of the man's figure, the watch deposited safe and sound back within his pocket as the majority of his attention refocused upon the sources of his surprise.
"Don't worry, I'll go easy on you." With a startling calm were the heroes greeted, gloved hands busying themselves brushing out the minute creases of his coat, taking in the scene as a whole. Mask shifted his figure to focus on the hero who appeared in a lightning bolt. "After all, I can't be serious against children."

Geata greeted Blue Jay with a cheery wave, and completely disregarded the other arrivals. Halos was a potential irritant, and the other guy wasn't anybody who Geata knew personally; he fit the description of someone who had attacked Azoth, though he seemed to be there to help. Neither one really merited a lot of attention, yet.
New guy seemed pretty sure of himself. Geata couldn't help but grin underneath his mask. Was that how he sounded when he was trying to play at being confident? It was almost cute. He didn't understand how anybody could take him seriously, but that was irrelevant. If the new skull mask wanted to play the part of the concerned adult, he needed to showcase some skill to back up the role.
Geata sheathed his sword - after all, Jay had that covered - and took a step back, bouncing on his heel. "Don't worry, sir," Geata said with a lightly mocking tone. "We feel the same way about anything that isn't a dragon. Worst you'll get out of this is a few stab wounds and a couple broken bones. Of course, if you want to play out of your league, who am I to discourage you?" He then raised his arms to his sides, inviting attack. "Bring on your best shot, Skellington."

Fleet cracked his knuckles loudly, keeping an irritating smile on his face the whole time, "Aw, I'm not a kid, hit me as hard as you can! It'll be fun!"
He didn't wait for a reply, cramming his hands together, "The storms here! I think it's going to be rainy!"

HaLOS looked around the scene with its sensory optic on the drone, taking note on who currently present in the store and what their option of attacking. It appeared that an ex-Bulwark has decided to change his faction to the Pandaemonium, yet he’s here to stop the robbery; such a strange little man. HaLOS identify the other supers in the location and began to create their profile in its computer screen, away from the fight:
“Geata, close associate to Azoth, a portal user capable of teleporting anything, including himself, to any location. Source of power unknown, ranges unknown, elusive and near impossible to track down.
Blue Jay, ex-Bulwark turned traitor to his old faction, the sword-yielder with ability to create huge devastating energy wave from the sword and teleporting around. Source of power: possibly the sword itself, ranges unknown, capable of healing from multiple injuries.
Fleet, allegiance unknown, capable of controlling the weather, has crossed path before. Sources need updating: accessing archive for more data.”
Now that HaLOS identify its opponents, it began compiling the data together in order to come up with a best strategy to deal with these people.

The roads immediately around the scene of the crime had cleared out as drivers noticed the commotion and tried to get away. However, not even so much as a block away the streets were filled with vehicles, as regular traffic ran into cars trying to escape, a jam made all the worse by those trying to park their cars at a safe distance so they could video the fight on their phones. Police sirens could already be heard wailing in the air, even once they drew near, it'd be difficult for them to break through the disorganized mess the civilian drivers had produced.
One vehicle in particular, however, came tearing through it all with a vengeance, taking out several side-mirrors as it wove its way through the traffic and towards the crime scene. A roaring, jet-black motorcycle, ridden by a large man in a leather jacket, his features covered by a dark helmet.
Others would also be approaching, but they would be far more subtle about it, coming on foot and keeping out of sight of the fighting supers until the time came. Civilians, wearing shirts and blouses and sweaters and dresses and everything in between, impossible to distinguish from any other bystanders. The biker was a vanguard, a distraction, a threatening but expendable weapon that hid the true nature of the threat.
The situation was no longer in anyone's control.

Geata appeared to have the banter covered, so Blue Jay felt content in the role of backup ominous (maybe) threat and was honestly kinda zoning out to the conversation. A mechanical something had flown into the building. There were only a few supers he could think of that would have such a device, and for lack of word of support (or halt towards the new guy, as Geata had done), he could fairly safely assume they were not going to be voting to stop the robbery. His ear caught the sound of an approaching vehicle - motorcyle, probably, or a very, very loud car. The only unpowereds in the area had mostly had the good senses to run, or at least get a decent distance away before they started recording, so what was coming their way was either a super, a new overzealous cop, or someone extraordinarily late for a very important meeting. Something of note, but it wasn’t particularly immediate, he guessed.
He set his gaze back on the man doing the actual robbing. Seemed clever peace negotiations from Geata had fallen through and he wasn’t going to stand down, so neither would he. Blue Jay took a step back and raised his sword.

Mask did not know who the motorcyclist was, but still took successful advantage of the created distraction when they made their appearance. Mask binded the lightning-based hero to the ground, setting up an opportunity for his partner up to continue their attack. What really caught his attention was the destruction the kid with the sword had caused. He didn't hurt anyone in particular, making him think he just lost control for a moment. Mask had been a super for a long time, and the sight of younger and younger people gaining powers beyond their control set off a bad nerve within him.
"I spoke too soon when I said I'd go easy on you. Suddenly, beating the shit out of you doesn't sound so awful." Mask said to Blue Jay, in spite of the clear difference between them. Mask cracked his front finger with his thumb, and his psychic energy began to vibrate the air around them. It was less an intimidation tactic, and more of a method for Mask to maintain his focus on his task. Luckily, his partner (for the time being) seemed mostly distracted by the one with the lightning powers. If things went well, Mask would be able to leave them be without too much injuries. If not, well, he had no qualms about making a public display of these 'heroes.'
