Name: Janus
Age: Around 50-60 (began super career 39 years ago)
Gender: Male
Occupation: Information and favor broker for the Keepers
Face Claim: Nazgul from Lord of the Rings
Appearance: Janus dresses in a deep-cowled robe that flows all the way to the ground, covering his hands and feet. When the light shines in just the right way as to illuminate his face, one can see the featureless black mask he wears to further obscure his identity. He's a large man, though his stooped posture makes it difficult to put a precise number on his height.
Skills:
Although Janus's appearances in the Sanctum are rare, he demonstrates a keen analytical mind and a skill for figuring things out with minimal information. He barely has superpowers at all, but he excels at finding out what people need, setting events in motion to fulfill those needs, and using this as leverage to buy whatever he seeks. Despite his age and bulk, he's also quite spry and agile on the rare occasion that some trouble within the Sanctum forces him to be.
Personality:
Janus plays his cards close to his chest, rarely revealing much of his feelings or motivations. Nonetheless, it's possible to deduce some traits from his conduct.
He is an extremely driven person, never wasting so much as a moment on anything not directly related to his goals. He speaks in short, clipped sentences and flatly refuses to bother with social niceties or small talk. Although he sometimes shows up at Keeper initiation ceremonies, this is solely for the purpose of exchanging his approval to let the new Keeper join for some sort of favor.
His attention seems to be entirely focused on rallying resources and gathering information to fight dragons, but he has never once appeared to fight against a dragon himself. Instead, he spreads information about dragons through his network of contacts and arranges with traded favors for supers both among and outside the Keepers to be obligated to show up at dragon attacks. These traded favors never put Janus himself at risk, but whether this is a matter of cowardice or of his power simply being unsuitable for combat remains unknown.
He seems to have a sense of ethics in that he never does anything to jeopardize fights against dragons. He shows no regard whatsoever for personal wealth or comfort. He also generally avoids supporting large-scale destruction or slaughter, but he'll tolerate it if it earns additional support for a coming fight against a dragon. This appears to be the one matter for which he cares above all else.
