The moment the conversation shifted to her past, Aurora started feeling uneasy. It was evident enough in her movements and the way she talked. Geata's explanation made a noticeable change in her expression and emotions. She leaned forward, resting her elbows on her desk, folded her hands together, holding them in front of her mouth. Her eyes narrowed and her expression turned dark. Enough so that it looked like she was seriously contemplating ripping him in half right there. It didn't matter if he was telling the truth or not, there was definitely an element of truth to it. There was no way he could have found out this much about such an obscure super, and connect it to her and her last name if he wasn't doing something.
"You will tell them to stop, and you will stop along with them, or I will hunt them down and make them stop," she said cooly. "We have no right to be looking into other peoples' identities. There is nothing useful we can do with that information, unless you're intending to use underhanded tactics, and it only increases the odds that their identity will get out. Never seek out a person's identity. Just because you're loose with yours doesn't mean most supers don't care."
The feeling didn't pass as he continued to talk, even if she did get the impression that he was clueless rather than malicious. She doubted the other person involved was the same way. There were just some things you weren't supposed to touch. Aurora closed her eyes and sighed, trying to at least settle her anger enough to not ruin her day. She didn't have time to dwell on this.
"We went to the same school, they were impossible to avoid. This happened years ago, it's hardly a fresh wound. There's nothing to talk about, so you can take your touchy-feely bullshit and shove it up your ass. Talking accomplishes nothing.
"And I don't hate them. Hate implies I feel something towards them when I don't get a shit about them. They can do whatever the fuck they want, as long as they're not stepping all over people I don't care. I just know what they'll do to us if we give them the chance and I've decided I'm going to end this conflict one way or another."
