Lobisomem's jaws lolled open as they traversed the forests usual twists and turns, eyes set dead ahead. If one could see details through the darkness, they would be able to count their ribs, which jutted out from their body despite Lobisomem missing only one meal.
They'd been shifting too often, sometimes even in direct sunlight, why couldn't they see this biting them in the ass later!? Because you want to help. Lobisomem snorted and let out a series of peculiar growls to themselves, as if mocking this train of thought.
Suddenly, they froze, pupils narrowing before plunging forward. A shrill shriek was quickly cut off as they landed paws first on something warm, living. A raccoon, they were going to eat a raccoon...They supposed they should feel bad, but it wasn't a wolf, so it barely hit them.
Lobisomem sighed, stealing had been going horribly recently, but they couldn't believe they were reduced to feeding like an damn animal! Still, they forgot about all this as soon as they took a bite. Nothing would beat actual food, but the threat of starvation would drive anyone to find raw flesh delicious.
Anyone taking a nightly stroll would hear crunching, or worse yet, see the bloody scene itself.

The night was crisp and clear as Nightflyer navigated the foresty wilderness of Evergreen Hollow.
She moved silently and effortlessly through the maze of trees, her wings pumping at a leisurely pace. Almost on auto-pilot, she flew gracefully, relying more on instinct than conscious decision making to navigate the tall pines and oaks that dotted the ascending slope. Nightflyer relished the feel of the breeze whipping off her scales and the smell of the lush, untamed wilderness. It made her feel alive.
Being a new member of the Bulwark, she felt the need to prove herself, often working all night patrolling the streets of Emerald City. She labored tirelessly to make sure the citizens of her city were safe. But tonight wasn't about that. Tonight she was enjoying a night off, and decided a leisurely flap through the forest was the perfect activity. Even though the sun was down, the forest was teeming with life. Even though she was further away from the city than usual, and therefore her senses were duller than normal, she could hear and see creatures of all shapes and sizes moving across the forest floor.
A loud squeal to her left caught her attention, and she adjusted her body, pulling up to slow her progression forward. She listened again and heard another squeal, less vocal but just as distressed, off in the distance. As quiet as a mouse, she turned towards the source of the scream and proceeded forward.
The first thing that struck her about the creature was its size. Twice as big as a human, at least, and many times more frightening. The second thing she noticed was its features... half wolf, half something else. Something she recognized. Dragon. The creature had scales not much different than hers, claws, horns. Nightflyer approached the beast from behind, attempting to be as silent as possible, keen to observe this behemoth of a creature that was feasting on a raccoon.
With the grace and agility of a butterfly, she perched herself on a branch, folded her wings behind her back, and settled in to gather intel. Hopefully she would be able to observe the creature without it noticing her prescence.

Lobisomem's meal was finished in a few seconds, if anything, simply agitating their hunger. If they had a human face, it probably would have paled as they realized they had left absolutely no remains behind, they had eaten everything.
Their ears twisted as the heard wings, almost writing it off as some nocturnal bird, but this sound was leathery. Almost like a big bat or...dragon...
They shot forward, whirling around in a crouch. Their eyes searched the ground before scanning the treetops, there it was! They tilted their head as they caught sight of a scaly women, her scales reminded them of their own.
Regardless, they didn't think she was a dragon, obviously a super. But what did Lobisomem look like!? They sat as calmly as they could, staring intently enough to let her know Lobisomem saw her, but trying to radiate a non-threatening demeanour.

Well, so much for any unobtrusive reconnaissance. She thought she had landed gracefully and without making a sound, but the giant creature turned in her direction almost as soon as she touched the branch. Damn. Did this creature possess super hearing? The particulars of Nightflyer's power meant that she usually disabled precogs who had enhanced spacial awareness... it hardly mattered, though. She had been seen.
Her immediate response was to crouch into a position to strike, or defend herself if necessary. She immediately noted that the creature didn't have wings, so she would be able to evade without being followed if she had to run. Her taloned feet dug into the thick bark of the tree branch, and she raised her arms into a fighting stance, her one hand balled into a fist and her claw poised at the ready. Nightflyer only resorted to violence if no other options were available, but she couldn't afford to be caught off guard. She wasn't even sure if this creature was friend, foe, or something inbetween.
As her eyes narrowed and gazed into the eyes across and down from hers, she was relieved to note that they were not filled with anger, rage, or threat. Instead, Nightflyer got the impression that the creature was more curious than anything else. Its eyes radiated a kind of genuine interest, almost along the lines of a child's wide-eyed innocence.
With an unsure look likely spread across her face, Nightflyer gave a gentle push off of the branch and extended her wings outward. She pushed far enough away that she was able to flex her wings and use them to stabilize herself. She descended slowly, totally in control of every muscle, almost like she was levitating more than floating to the ground. Her feet hit the earth with a gentle thud and she landed not more than 5 feet away from the creature she had followed here. In a gesture of respect, she lowered her head to a nod towards the dragon/wolflike beast.

Lobisomem's eyes flicked across the newcomer, taking in every detail and faint color. A women's body, realistic enough to tell this person was, or at least used to be, human.
They looked particularly interested in the fact her scales resembled their own, so, there were some supers that resembled dragons!
They nodded back at the greeting before lowering themselves, entering a bow that resembled a playful dog. Presentation made, they shook themselves out and started forward, nose twitching quizzically.
No sound came from their throat, they still didn't trust this super enough to talk, even if it was a greeting or question of some kind.

The creature's pleasant demeanor was a huge relief for her. She relaxed, without completely letting down her guard, as the beast lunged forward- not aggressively, but almost playfully. Like a dog. A massive, monstrous, scary as shit hellhound of a dog! Nightflyer chuckled at the thought. In her other life, when she shed her skin and put Nightflyer to bed, she wasn't such a huge fan of animals. But was this creature even an animal? The dragon-human hybrid couldn't be sure.
The more she studied it, the more convinced she became that it definitely had a higher thinking capacity, but on a base level it operated almost like a dog would. Was this really the same creature she had seen attacking an animal just moments ago, devouring it in mere seconds? The change in personality was as quick as it was alarming.
She exhaled heavily in a sound that was half-sigh, half-laugh, as she realized how harshly she had reacted at the creature's presence earlier. Nightflyer made it a point to never open her mouth while this form was free, but this situation felt different. Looking at this creature, with its dragon like influences, made Nightflyer think of herself. Being with this creature, as much of a monster as it was, seemed very comforting. So Nightflyer did something she never ever did. She opened her mouth and spoke to someone outside of her teammates on the Bulwark.
"Hello."

Lobisomem almost laughed as the super reacted pleasantly, toothy smile easing their face. They could only wonder why they'd never met this women, this was pretty nice!
A light flickered across their eyes as she greeted them, so she could speak in that form!? They leaned down and let their mouth loll open, "Hi!" They stayed in that stance, waiting for her reaction.
