Greyson wasn't a very social person at his core, but he faked it well. Appearances were everything, he knew that even before--well, before a lot of thing had happened to him. Did he really want to go to a party tonight? Not really, very few people he's met have actually been mildly interesting. But that wasn't the point. Even as well as he did in school he needed to make sure appearances were kept.
He wanders into the campus wide party that goes on all weekend, "College Daze" they call it. A pun on "college days" where majority of students are drunk the entirety of it.
With a silent exhale he grabs a nearby cup, pretending to sip as he wanders through the crowd scanning faces.

It was just about Summer Vacation and that meant there was one last blowout to be had in campus. At least one more that Alex would likely be able to attend. And attend it he would, he had to make his appearance here. It would be weird if he didn't show up, he was the darling of the Drama department and his costar in the latest production of Romeo and Juliet had even been kind enough to supply a large quantity of Alcohol for the event.
Though that was Rachel in a nutshell. Always looking to have fun and be the life of the party. Have every eye on her and everyone thinking about her. It was why she got into theater, because she didn't just love drama, but she loved the drama. It was always a big deal about who was sleeping with who, who said what, and for as long as he had known her it was always true love. And as usual she had a gaggle of guys and girls around her as she recounted her latest story from the other week about going wing suit gliding in the grand canyon with her brother. It was a lie, but an entertaining one. Though that was mostly because Alex liked to make a game of picking out her lies from the truth without revealing that he knew she was full of it. If he didn't find a way to make it interesting to himself he would have ripped off his ears ages ago.
Or at the very least her tongue. Looks could only get you so far, but at the end of the day she wasn't exactly selling what he wanted. He didn't want a momentary distraction, and he didn't want someone trying to pick his brain for every little secret for a thrill and story for later. So he'd always kept a distance from her emotionally while remaining close to her, laughing at her jokes, gasping at her shocking stories, and working long nights with her to get ready for the productions. People talked, and in this case both of them agreed. People could say whatever they wanted, it didn't hurt either of them.

Kasey wasn't really sure why she was on campus with the whole weekend party thing going on, but she was. Alright, technically she'd been invited with a small group of other friends to come out and celebrate as the college was out of its mind after finals, but the group had faded and drifted apart as people and other attractions drew everyone away at one point or another. Now only one other friend remained, and they seemed more interested in the guys that were catcalling from the front lawn of a frat house. For once, Kasey makes a disgruntled face, waving at them in a gesture that was more "go away" than hello, but they were too drunk to be able to tell the difference.
That look on her friend's face remained, until at last Kasey gave a dramatic sigh and waved her off.
"Fine, fine, go be the life of the party without me. I'll just have to flutter on the winds of chance and see where it takes me." Her friend is quick to run off, leaving Kasey to wander campus in search of something, or someone, to catch her eye.

Greyson is unable to contain his snicker at the girl's story as he wanders towards and overhears it. Most liars were easy to pick out. If it wasn't the way they lacked eye contact after saying something outlandish it was in the tone of the voice. More high pitched--sing songy even. Greyson didn't care enough to call her out on it though, not yet at least. However, he does make eye contact with her as he rolls his eyes dramatically, causing them to trail onto a familiar figure off to the side.
Grey whips out his phone, sending her a "what's up?" text, pretty sure she hasn't seen him yet despite only being a few yards away. As he presses send he glances over at Alex, something about him catching his eye. He can't place what it is exactly, but there's something. That's enough to bother him as he stares at the man, awaiting Kasey's reply.

He noticed Grey when he approached, but paid him little mind. Guys wandering over was pretty normal. Even Kasey being here wasn't that surprising. She had said she was looking into attending. He could imagine her being interested in some sororities or something. Or checking out their facilities. More likely the second option, but he could see the first. She wasn't exactly shy from what he saw. However he remained where he was while she finished her story. His eyes flickering back to the new guy who seemed to be far more interested in him than Rachel and her tales of wonder, or her V neck.
"Hey, you enjoying the party?"
He'd ask Grey, deciding it was better to engage rather than let him continue to stare. It's not like anything could happen while there was a group of people. And if it was a worst case scenario and it was someone here about his hobbies, well he knew what to do about it.

Coming from the other direction, the sound of a girl's voice catches Kasey's attention as she comes closer. Rather, the story she told and the group of people that gathered to hear it. Gliding through the Grand Canyon? That did sound rather exciting, and apparently others thought the same. She approaches, curious enough to hear the rest of the story when her phone goes off, a cheerful little tune that breaks whatever spell the story might have had.
Smiling at the message and who sent it, she fires off a small reply: Not much? Just wandering campus. You?
She looks around to see if there's any familiar face, though she certainly doesn't seem uncomfortable with the crowd. Catching sight of Greyson and Alex, she waves and approaches them.

"Not really." He was going to leave it at that but appearances to keep up, right? "You?" His phone buzzes in his hand and he looks back down at it, firing off another text that says "just enjoying the view " as he looks at Kasey from behind, holding it for a moment in hopes of getting her to catch him.

He'd return the small wave that Kasey gave him with a wave of his own. He was surprised that the guy just outright said that he wasn't enjoying the party, most people would just go along and say yeah, even if they weren't. No one wanted to be the one to stand out or to be the buzz kill. Apparently this guy was blunt, which was kind of refreshing in a way. He'd let out a small laugh.
"Sorry, I'm not laughing at you, just didn't expect you to just out and say it. And yeah, I mean it's a party. If you don't have fun you are doing it wrong right?" There was some agreement in the crowd, but Alex wasn't worried about them. "So what's up? Wrong music? Need a drink?"
Gotta be a good host, even if it wasn't his party.

Kasey looks back at the response and laughs, not caring if there were only two in on the reason behind her mirth. She skips out on a response and instead heads over to the two young men, both of whom she knew. Her eyes seem to light up at the sight of familiar faces.
"Hey you two!" Skipping the group of listeners entirely, the little gymnast slows as she nears. "What's up?"

"This music sounds like two transformers fuc-" He cuts himself off as Kasey turns their way, giving her a smile and a nod as a greeting before turning to Alex with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh, you two know each other?" Not that he knew Alex.

"Hey Kasey! Glad you could make it. How are you liking the campus?"
He'd move in closer to Kasey, noting that the guy seemed to know her, and being able to put together what he was about to say he liked the idea of making this into a little game. At least it would save him from another story for the time being. In the mean time he was all smiles and chipper attitude.
"Yeah, we're friends. He'd say in response to the guy's question before motioning back to the guy running the music with his head. "Well if you want I can see if I can get Adam to change the music. You have any requests man?"

Kasey nods in response to Grey's own, obviously not reaching them in time to catch his eloquent response. The same nod also applies to Alex's comment, which she wholeheartedly agrees with.
"Sure we are." Two chance meetings and getting along as they did was enough for Kasey to consider Alex one. Perhaps she'd be able to call Greyson one, as well. She doesn't stop Alex from getting a step closer, but seem to think much of it, either.
"What about the two of you?" The conversation seemed casual enough, but that could be said of two strangers as well as any two people who knew each other.

Edgar and alcohol have never seen eye-to-eye at each other; when it comes to booze, he would like to stay as far away from them as possible. He understands the need of having alcohol beverage in a frat party. He just doesn’t see the appeal of serving alcohol at every frat parties, however; all they ever did is making stupid teens into more stupid people who do dumb things because they thought it’ll be funny in their intoxicating mind. It doesn’t really matter if those teens are underage or not, the crazy party that they dub “College Daze” is kind of a tradition to some University kids around here.
However, that’s not why Edgar is here. The idea of taking some hilarious photo of drunk-teenagers passed out on the couch or doing stupid thing is something that he just couldn’t ignore. After all, his job is to report the truth with his camera, so what better way of capturing the silliness of a drunken party than these hilarious photos.
After some time wandering around the party with a camera in his hand, dodging the drunken teens who only one step away from puking, he managed to pick out two of a familiar people among the crowd. Once he walked pass the crowd gathering around some girl talking about gliding over a canyon, he waved at his two friends:
“Hey Alex, Kasey,” he called out to them, “fancy meeting the two of you here.”

Grey notes it but doesn't think much of it either, not yet at least. "I've always been partial to something mildly depressing." The reply comes void of any real tone or indication if he's serious or not. "Oh me and, uh, what was your name? We're just meeting now." Grey holds out his hand to Alex. He holds in a groan as someone else wanders over. It seemed that everyone here knew each other already. Maybe he wasn't blending as much as he thought he would be.

"Depressing?" He quirked an eyebrow. The guy knew this was a party, and not a goth or emo one. Right? Still he'd take his hand giving him a very firm, calloused handshake. "Nice to meet you. I'm Alex. And I can ask if he has anything depressing. But I don't think it is on his party mix list."
But Alex didn't know for sure what was on it. But it was an odd request, and vague. He was kind of hoping for a specific song for a request, but C'est la vie. He'd flash Edgar a smile as he let go of the other guy's hand, going for a high five.
"Hey there Edgar. What's up man? Lemme guess, here to get the picture of me and my leading lady for the paper right?"
The mention of getting her face in the paper got Rachel's attention long enough for her to shut up for a second, her ears almost visibly perking up.
