He'd take her hands in his and shift just a little closer for the scene. The same smile on his face as he looked down into her eyes, past her reddening cheeks.
"The parts that you have touched will always remain pure. But alas, there are parts of me that have desires beyond watching you from afar. Perhaps those desires could be sated with milkshakes tomorrow at five PM? My treat."

It starts to sink in for her that people aren't staring at them, but at her. Her streak of luck would only last so far, but as she opens her mouth to speak, one of the other actors from Alex's group joins them, eying Kasey before turning a fake pout to Alex.
"Who's your friend, Alex?" She asked, leaning close to wrap an arm around his. There was a distinct emphasis on the word friend as she did so.

"Oohh, this started to become interesting," Edgar thought to himself while unable to hide his smile.
It's seems that the girl who were with Alex earlier might have seen Kasey as her "competition" to the spot-light of attention. He looked between Kasey and this girl, and he could sort of feel a tension between them. Well, at least the tension is coming from the girl while she looked at Kasey; Kasey might not know what going on just yet.
He then turned to Greyson in order to answer his question:
"Not sure; I've only met the two of them semi-recently. All I know is that Alex have a fascination in theater and drama, and Kasey is thinking of attending ECU."

"Well he sure is putting on a show."
Grey smiles, putting a smaller one on himself. He doesn't do much else for the moment, seemingly content to watch the scene and to see what Alex does with this other girl interrupting.
"Must be some improv." Grey perks an eyebrow. The milkshakes part didn't seem to fit.

"Hopefully a date for maybe Friday at five?"
He'd ask, clarifying as he slowly unwound his hand from Grace as she tried to hold on to him. This new game was more interesting. And he liked winning.

He was persistent, that was for sure. Kasey wasn't sure what he saw in her, considering he could have his pick of any number of the people staring at them now. Then again, if he was, it was also pretty flattering that he thought she was worth more than a round of playing.
Grace, in her own interest, didn't like being ignored. She frowned and turned to face Alex, bright smile plastered on her face as she put herself partially between him and Kasey. her tone was overly bright and cheerful to the point it hurt, even by Kasey style standards.
"Awww, c'mon Alex." The seductress's smile turned coy as she took another step to break the others apart.
"I can go if you two need a moment." Kasey frowned and furthered the action, taking what she assumed was an obvious hint. She lets out a disgruntled noise as the rudeness continued.
"Look, I get the idea. I can--"
"You've been holding out on us, Alex. Where'd you find this one, the bargain bin?"

“Oh snap,” Edgar said to himself, “talk about shot being fire. Hope Kasey can recover from that.”
He pushed himself closer to the scene in order to see the event played out fully. Judging from the way that Alex said to her before, he might not be practicing an improve skit at all. Alex might actually asking Kasey out for real, and Edgar can feel a little giddy from thinking that thought. He was assumed Alex to be quite a player from the first time he met him: the guy was quite a charmer base on the way he talk. Guess being in the theater does help you getting better at interaction.
Of course with high popularity mean people will compete with each other to gain the spot-light of attention. And right now, both Kasey and that girl are gathering all the attention to them from her latest quip. He could hear some guys in the crowd started to ooh softly once they heard it, hoping to see a cat-fight between the two ladies.
He carefully observed both Alex and Kasey, seeing how the two of them would react to the girl’s harsh tongue. Alex so far have been playing the role of a calm gentleman, so maybe he will resolve the situation before it turn ugly.

"Better cheap than free." Grey adds in his own snide retort, crossing his arms and looking away as he feigns disinterest.
He also wanted to see how Alex would play this out, but he still didn't like hearing anyone talk bad about Kasey. He takes a slow deep breath and gazes over the ever growing crowd. He didn't really want to be in the center of all this attention.

He pulled away from Grace. Spinning around to face her as he shifted closer to Kasey. His smile was gone and replaced with furrowed brows and a thin line where his lips would be if they weren't pressing together so hard. The disappointment and disapproval in him was almost palatable as he glared not just as her, but the others as well. As if they were guilty by association.
"If she is bargain bin then so am I. I prefer tact and substance to flash anyway."

Those who knew Kasey or how to ready body language would be able to pick up on the indignation and anger coming from the little redhead. Her jaw tightened as her teeth clenched, eyes bright as she regarded the other girl carefully. She couldn't say she was surprised by the comment; things like that had followed her most of her life. It was the same judgemental attitude that had her believing the world wouldn't accept her trying to get anywhere, that she'd have to get more creative than others to get where she wanted to be, because reaching even the levels of those who were "better" than her would be considered a surprise or upgrade.
Shifting, she stopped when she began to hear the support from her friends amidst the group that was growing around them, not to mention the fact that Alex was now a barricade between them. She really didn't want to be the center of attention with this. It was just supposed to be her hanging out with friends, enjoying the atmosphere. Not a highschool cat fight.
Still, it was nice. She appreciated it, letting it bolster her mood and lift it to something calmer than before. She raised her chin as she looked Grace in the eye, but the girl's focus was bouncing between Greyson, who had obviously insulted her, to the reprimand she got from Alex.
"You can be serious." She pointed her free hand, the one not holding a glass of what was probably box wine, and pointed it at Greyson. "And you stay out of this." The words caused Kasey to dislike her even more.
"Just stop," Kasey said in a flat tone. She took a step forward, then another as she stood alongside Alex. If she was going to speak, she wanted to be seen as well as heard. It would only get worse later if she let Alex stand between them. The actress eyed her with a frown, which quickly turned into a sneer.
"If that's all you have, you have nothing." If Grace had nothing of substance, then she had already lost. As it was, she didn't like getting cornered, and both girls had noted the rather backhanded comment that was both insult and not. "Whatever your deal is, come back to it when you're not drinking."
Grace looks from one person to the other, then the crowd around them that had backed off at Alex's look, but not dispersed.
"You can't be serious." Grace looks back at Alex as though to verify that this was happening at all. It couldn't be. Why would he go for...well, for that?

The room gone silence as soon as Alex retaliate Grace’s words; some of them even feel a bit unnerving and quietly shuffle behind the crowd. Greyson was only trying to stand by Kasey’s side when the woman told him to stay out of their conversation. The whole situation seems to become slight worse, and it seems like both Alex and Kasey is having none of the girl’s mockery. Suddenly, he got an idea:
“Hey come on guy,” he tried to get rid of the tension building up in the room, “let’s not ruin the party atmosphere here. I know, how about we settle all this hate via a singing contest. I’m sure everyone here just wants to have some fun before summer started, right?”
He looked around the room, and some of them mummer in agreement. Edgar then turned back to Kasey and Grace:
“What do you say, ladies? What better way to settle a rivalry than a harmless little contest?”

When Grace would turn back towards Alex she would find herself flinging her drink onto him. Maybe on purpose, maybe an accident from too much to drink, or maybe another cause entirely. No matter the case, the crowd gasped, everyone's eyes on the scene except for Greyson, who was staring at Edgar like he was the strangest one here now.
"A...sing off? Really?"
He then turns back to look at the girls, waving his hand dismissively.
"They're both probably terrible."

The wine splashed over his face when she turned. He hadn't moved a muscle to try and dodge it, perhaps from shot reflexes from drinking, or maybe not. Though until moments ago he hadn't really smelled of alcohol. The crowd gasped as the liquid ran down his face and stained his clothes, probably ruining them. He'd just bring a hand up to wipe his face, flicking the remains off to the side away from Kasey and anyone else. No point getting anyone else wet.
"I am serious. If bargain bin is a problem then I'm afraid I'm not who you seem to think I am." He let out a small exhale, the tension seemingly melting away off his shoulders as he smiled again. Both at the crowd and Grace. "But I think everyone is just tense from finals and the upcoming show. So why don't we all just start over and be friends. No need to get a bunch of musical theater performers in a singing contest or we'll never stop."
He said with small laugh, both warning Kasey that Grace would probably win and trying to diffuse the situation while wearing stained clothing. It was still a party, and he didn't want it to end on a sour note just because of him.
"So come on ladies. Can we all just apologize and be friends? I know I'm sorry, I got a little hot headed there which is not cool."
That apology was to Grace, and to the crowd gathered around in general.

Whatever Grace's anger was, it was taken by jugular by panic and horror as Alex got a face full of cheap wine. She gaped for a moment, poise forgotten as the shock showed on her pretty face. She'd just dumped wine on the guy she liked in front of their group and those around them. How was she ever going to come back from that?
"Alex, I'm sorry. I--" She was repentant at the reassurance that she might not know him as well as she thought, looking away for a moment in shame. But the sound of the other male speaking out again, this time making a very blatant insult on her singing, which she took great pride in and won several key parts for. So what if she wasn't Rachel - she was Grace. She was the one who could balance a shitty show and make it great.
“Look here, asshole,” she rounds on Greyson and jabs a finger in his direction. “You don't know what the hell you're talking about. You think you know? I could make a living with my voice.” She intended to, that's for sure.
Kasey, meanwhile, was procuring a towel while Grace ranted at Greyson, her frown becoming more prominent with each passing second. Once she finally found one, she handed it to Alex.
“Here.” She offered him a small smile. "You didn't have to do that, you know." Unfortunately, her words were being drowned out by the actress's rage.
“Why don't you shut up and get out already?” Grace was still at it like a champ. Kasey had to wonder how much the liquor had loosened her tongue, or if she was always this way.
“Leave him alone, already.” Sighing, Kasey stepped forward. She, unlike Alex, had reflexively stepped back from the drink, though apparently he'd gotten the brunt of the sloppy spill. Greyson had been standing up for her in his own way, but this past comment was an obvious insult to both girls. It might have been to discourage the sing off from happening, but Greyson's words were having the opposite effect if that were the case.
“Why do you care?” Grace froze, staring as she realized what Kasey had been doing rather than jumping at the insult hurled their way.
Kasey's lips press into a tight line, but forced the expression away. “I can let it go if you can.” She'd heard worse, and Kasey knew Grace would be able to dig up more if she really wanted to, and that could make things rock for her first year at the university. It was something Kasey would avoid if she could.
“I'm pretty sure neither of us are terrible,” she adds as she glances at Greyson from the corner of her eye with the pointed statement. As such, she missed the sly smile on Grace's face, the triumphant glimmer in her eye.
“Prove it.” The actresses' challenge rung in the air, apparently not letting it go and taking the insults more personally than her opponent.
“Sure.” She shrugs as Alex points out everyone was here to have fun. If it would put things in a more enjoyable mood for everyone, Kasey would do it, and probably bow out afterwards. Grace was already setting up before Kasey finished speaking, murmurs livening the crowd once more.

“Guess I’m chopped liver here,” Edgar said to himself when the other ignored his attempt on making peace between the two ladies. Well, at least Greyson did acknowledge the idea, and dismiss the two of them would be terrible. This, of course, painted a target on his head when the lady started to yell at him. Well, it’s his fault for provoking the situation; seriously, there’s a few thing you should never tell a woman: her weight, her age, and obviously an actress' talent, singing or otherwise. He looked over to Kasey and Alex; the guy sure had a strong composure if he could calmly handle being splattered wine on his face like that. He walked over to him while Kasey focused her attention on defending Greyson from being yelled at, while accepting her challenge. “Well, they didn’t call this the College Daze for simple shit and giggle,” he said to Alex with a smile, “If the whole day went by without a single fight, these guys done something wrong.” He gets his camera ready for the two woman’s performance; this would make a nice front page on the news paper. With the help of some guys in the crowd, the lady managed to get the dish-jockey to bring out some karaoke music for the singing contest. Edgar figured those guys over at the Tech club has been dying to put their speakers system for some good use, guess it isn’t such a waste after all. Once the whole thing is set up, the lady decided to start the challenge first. She clearly had a song in mind already, and as the music begin to play, she started to sing. Guess she picked out that song specifically as both an insult and a challenge toward Kasey and Greyson. She sing with such enthusiasm that one would easily mistaking this small singing contest to be an actual live concert. The crowd started to become livelier than before as people started to gather around the stage and move to the beat. Taking the opportunity, Edgar snapped some photos with his camera of the whole crowd dance with the beat and actress. Some guy in the crowd even started to cheer on her singing voice; she is a part of the drama department with Alex, after all, so of course she knew how to bring in the crowd with her talented voice. Heck, even Edgar is impress as her enchanted singing voice. Once the song is over, the crowd erupted with applause and congratulation. The lady then whipped her hair back as she walked down the stage and looked at Kasey: “ Try to beat that,” she said to Kasey with a smile, adding more emphasis than it need to be. She then shoot a gaze at Greyson, clearly in response to his comment on how she would be terrible at singing. Her gaze could be interpret as both a threat and a come-back. Edgar was clearly excited to see how Kasey will response with such a challenge like that. He is quite amaze as to how people from the drama department can sway the crowd to their whim. He even nudge Alex's side: "Hey, maybe once those two done with their singing challenge, you could give us a taste of your talent as well? I am curious to hear you sing."
