Greyson nods throughout her explanation.
"One rarely gets something right the first time." He agrees.
"But, no matter how well you try to balance I still think everyone is dominantly physical, or mental. Yes high level athletes can still require a large mental aspect and surgeons still need to hold their scalpel straight, but I think everyone has an expertise in one or the other. What's yours?"

It's Kasey's turn to nod through an explanation, finding it makes sense. You could have both, but there's an inclination towards one or the other, regardless. Conditioning yourself would be a weak counter, however.
But what about Kasey herself? The young woman taps her lips with a finger, finding she needed to assess her potential answers. Sure, she was a gymnast, but that was from high training, and the dexterity to work with small parts in small paces certainly help, but what else? She knew how to pinch a pretty penny, how to make improv devices and...things. It had helped her family keep electricity when they would otherwise be out, and allowed her to defend herself from potential threats. Plus there were her projects and her love of numbers.
"I'd ay intellect." Her hand lays on top of her arm, considering him. "I'm going to guess you'd also be in that category."

"I don't know..." He wraps his fingers on the desk.
"Are you saying I'm not the peak specimen of an alpha male?"
Grey flexed his arm. Sure, there's muscle there, but it's very lean.

"Hmmm, maybe." She looks over the display with a teasing smile, preferring the lean to m massive display. She chuckles and leans back, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Impressive, but I think you'd be focused on something other than pre-med if you were." She winks. "Maybe you're a peak spciemen at almost balancing both."

"I don't know, at the moment I think I'm focused on something pretty physical."
He smiles and stares.

"Oh?" She smiles back. As Greyson had noted before, he wasn't the first guy to hit on her; she accepts it with an easy grace without giving in much, holding his gaze.
"That must be pretty distracting."

"It helps me from stressing." He shrugs, holding the stare.

"I see." He certainly didn't beat around the bush. Kasey sits upright, obscuring some of the view he'd had as her hands instead rest against the edge of the table.
"And what else keeps you from stressing besides pretty girls?"

"Pushing the envelope. Forcing people to back off or back down." He winks, sitting up too.

A game, in other words. She looks down and shakes her head with a quiet chuckle, then looks back at him with a raised brow, mirror echoing mirror.
"And the difference between the two?" Both reeked of a need for superiority in different ways, but she wants to hear it in his own words.

"Quite the difference, actually." He relaxes a bit in his chair.
"Backing off is to remove yourself from the scenario, a retreat or refusal to continue. To back down is to submit to the terms, giving in to the end result."

So he was used to winning, one way or another. For a moment, Kasey tried to imagine him losing and let out a soft huff of a laugh. Forcing people? He would probably be a sore loser. She knew a few of those. Though the explanation is brief, it says a lot. No wonder he was in the top percentile; that attitude certainly would push him further.
It sounded lonely.
"And when someone rises above you?" She watches him still, curious. People probably have challenged him and thought they could win, just as people though a young woman alone on the streets was an easy target. Or a lone super.

Someone rising above him? What an absurd thought. If he gets angry though he doesn't show it, instead giving a small laugh and wave of his hand.
"Someone always will, right? I guess it's just motivation to keep going and rise above them too." He keeps smiling.
"Competition is good for business after all."

"True. A bit of healthy competition can do wonderful things." She gives him another impish grin, staying upright rather than leaning this time. "Including surprise you."

"Oh?" He leans to the side, resting his cheek on his palm.
"Please, do elaborate." He smirks.
