Blue Jay had stumbled into the Bulwark HQ in some pretty poor states in the past. He’d come here breathless and and bruised from the incident at the news station, and with only half a shirt and the ever fashionable one full-length one short-length pants legs in the aftermath of a different disastrous occasion. Oftentimes it was the first place he visited after battles in the downtown area, which meant he’d walked into the main lobby of the place with a wide array of injuries and in varying states of cleanliness, ranging from the time he’d limped back here after being dropped in a dumpster to when he arrived with burns covering one of his arms weren’t worse only because he’d immediately then after gotten himself covered in mud. But this was, by far, the worst state he’d ever come back to the HQ in. He was down to a t-shirt and pair of jeans that looked more like inedible swiss cheese than clothing. Most of the back of his shirt was gone - evaporated. The bandages that had been wrapped around his chest had long ago fallen off, giving the occasional glimpse at the deep purple bruise forming on his chest. His pants looked like they’d been attacked by a horror movie villain wielding a chainsaw. Under the largest hole were strips of gauze already a dark red, and he was limping fairly obviously on that side. The red color was not particularly unusual for his current attire; everything that was not red seemed to be fighting a losing battle with the encroaching color, and he was pretty well drenched in blood, from a grand total of three sources. One of whom was still on his back. They were the main reason for him showing up here at this ungodly hour, and why he’d come in through the least-used entrance that he could find unlocked. Earlier today, Blue Jay had been caught in a fight between six supers, including himself, in the middle of town. Several of the combatants who participated in that fight had not left it in what one would call “good shape”. One such was the Keeper Unhallow. And so he had offered to take them back to the HQ for healing. Blue Jay shut the door to outside quietly behind him, and walked as lightly down the hall as he could. He wasn’t sure if anyone else was out and about at this time of night. He kind of doubted it. At the far end of the hallway was a doorway leading to one of the not-main room rooms. He couldn’t remember what exactly that room was or where the two of them were, and he was too tired to try. Nor did he bother listening for any commotion on the other side. “I think we keep some of the medical supplies somewhere near here.” He mumbled. Probably. He wasn’t actually all that sure. Tiredly and doing a poor job of paying attention to his surroundings, he turned the handle, opened the door, and stepped into the room. Unhallow Passion Purity Peace

Unhallow still couldn't feel their arms. Their bones were completely mangled, to the point that the bones looked more like a collection of broken toothpicks, some of which were even poking out of their skin and their costume, than actual bones. They weren't bleeding too much, after all they were just bitten. Nothing was torn, just broken. Small trickles of blood, near invisible on the black of their costume, still made their way down Unhallow's arm and onto Blue Jay's skin and clothes. Because of their powers, Unhallow knew the reason they couldn't feel their arms at all. Their nerves had been torn through as well. Needless to say, it hadn't been a good night. Exactly what happened hadn't completely settled in yet. It still didn't feel real.
As the two of them went further into Bulwark HQ, Unhallow was feeling less and less sure that this was a good idea. Once again, they wren't sure how the other Keepers made espionage and the like look so easy. They could already feel their heart leap into their throat, and given how distressed they were already, that wasn't a good thing. Blue Jay's clothing was already gone in the areas closest to their chest, and whatever he decided to put them on would face the same fate. Even Unhallow's own costume wasn't in good shape. The armor in the chest was dust at this point. Most of the inside, non-visible, layer of the costume was already fraying in the usual ways, and there was a large crack going up their helmet with a few smaller ones going in different directions. Their voice modulator was staticy and probably wouldn't even be working much longer. Unhallow wouldn't be surprised if these people got to hear their real voice, and that made them feel even more apprehensive. The last thing Unhallow wanted was someone figuring out who they were.
"There's people in the next room," Unhallow waited until Blue Jay was already starting to open the door. "Two. Both male. One with long hair and a more muscular build, and the other with short hair and a more feminine build. Is one of them your healer?"
Once again, Unhallow wouldn't be surprised if the Keepers already knew all this, but it'd be useful to try to figure some of this stuff out right?

It was supposed to be a quiet evening for the Emerald's Virtues at the Bulwark HQ, all three gathered around a table together. There had been ruckuses around town, as there always were, but they'd done all they could to help protect their town and minimize damages. Still, it was best to learn when to take care of yourself as well. If the trio let themselves become worn and haggard, who was left that they could trust to look after their town?
Peace was sat primly in her seat, smiling and and giggling quietly at a joke one of the others must have told. On the table before her was a steaming mug of hot chocolate, topped with whipped cream and yet had obviously never been drunken from. Now was a time to relax, strengthening their bonds of friendship and reflecting on what it was that made their jobs so important.
Then the door swung open, revealing someone they knew well carrying someone they knew minimal of on his back. Blue Jay, fellow hero of the Bulwark, was covered in blood and giving a piggyback ride to a known Keeper. If Peace had the ability to hold her mug to begin with she would have dropped it in shock, eyes going wide as she stared at the injured pair. "Blue Jay?" she paused for a brief moment, her surprise shifting to a deep concern as the magical girl bit her lower lip. "I know that I said we needed to talk, but I hardly expected you to escalate this far before we got the chance."

Purity was laughing along with Peace as Passion regaled them with stories and jokes. The cup of gourmet hot chocolate that he had acquired from his last trip to Switzerland was the perfect punctuation to a perfect day. Wonderful friends, splendid treats, and the knowledge that they helped to make the world a better place was more than enough to brighten any of the dark spots in his life. It helped to know that no matter what any of them went through that they were not alone. He only hoped that they could someday spread that feeling to everyone.
When Blue Jay and the other entered the room he turned with a smile, ready to welcome their fellow comrade in Justice before stopping. His features dropping at what he saw. A Keeper. Blue Jay. But more than that, the color red. Quickly setting his cup down on the table he'd stand up so fast that he nearly knocked over the table in his rush to get to BlueJay and the Keeper. His primary concern was making sure they were okay before anything else.
Both of them.
"What happened?"
Concern blared with his words as his body began to glow brightly, trying to see who was more injured and where the worst injury was. This wasn't good, Blue Jay was a problem child but he believed the kid's heart was in the right place. And while the Keeper stood against what they believed in, he would not see one die on his doorstep if he could save them. The only ones that were beyond redemption were the dead. And he wasn't willing to give up on anyone.

Passion was enjoying the company of his fellow Virtues immensely, it was always jovial and relaxing to be in their presence today being no exception. Taking a few sips he also savored the rich chocolate drink Purity had brought, it was nothing compared to his home's own, but it was delicious in it's own right. His ears perked up slightly as he felt a familiar presence ring out behind him where the door was, the Ninja Bulwark's blade emanated a passion all it's own that he could easily detect a mile away. He was prepared to give a speech to the fellow swordsmen but heard and saw panic in Purity before noticing the red coating and quickly making some room on the table in case operations were needed.
"Injuries are they yours or hers?"
He ignored the keeper's status in favor of making sure they weren't dead, he knew his fellow virtues would agree that any life was worth saving so it could receive a chance to become good.

If Unhallow had shared that important information just a couple seconds prior, Blue Jay would not have opened the door. He would have stopped right there, spun on his heels, and hoped the occupants beyond had not heard him as he walked away for another side door. He couldn’t guess who the two were from that small description, and so had no idea how they’d react. The safe option - which, given the number of dangerous options he’d taken today was probably the one he should be going with - was to avoid people in general unless he knew they weren’t just going to make matters worse.
Blue Jay just stood in the doorway, one hand on the knob, and shared a moment of mutual shock with the three at the table. Three, not two - Unhallow must be seriously tired if their headcount was off by 33%. He took that as a bad sign.
Well, they weren’t the worst people they could’ve run into, he figured. Sure, his only previous encounter with the trio had ended in confusion and bad first impressions, but he figured they were nice enough and reasonable enough people. Maybe it was just their color pallet that, in comparison to the dark and depressing night he’d just spent the good past while in, was both cheerful and very welcome change. At least it hadn’t been Docket or someone of the sort.
Blue Jay reacted much slower than the rest of them. His greatest fear, that they’d attack Unhallow on sight, had thankfully not been the case. He took another step into the room, though much of his tension remained. Given Passion had attacked him out of nowhere last time they’d met, He couldn’t quite shake the fear of a sudden strike.
“A fight.” Blue Jay replied simply, ignoring Peace’s critical review of his actions. “Mostly theirs. They got attacked by Lob- the large wolf super.”
Seeing Purity come to his aid was a kind of relief. No matter what he may think of this, the concern on his face was clear. He’d help. Blue Jay was about to pass the injured super to the not injured super, give himself a much needed rest, when he remembered the effects of Unhallow’s power. He’d seen, up close, what had happened to the wolf super when they’d gotten close to them. Unconsciously, he took a step away from Purity - not back out the door, but to the side of the doorway. He cast a hesitant glance at the three others in the room. He had no clue how to approach this. He had no clue what he was doing in general. What he wanted was that no one got any further hurt tonight - he just didn’t know how he was going to pull that off.
Since the idea’s suggestion, his body had already unanimously voted that now was the time to stop walking and sit down. His legs felt heavy and his chest was tight. He gave in. Bending at the knees, he set Unhallow down.
“Do any of you have healing abilities?” He asked.

Sudden tensing, door suddenly opening more slowly, standing in the doorway looking almost shell shocked, it was about what Unhallow expected from Blue Jay and was exactly why they didn't mention anything until he was already opening the door. Running into people was necessary here, hopefully useful even if Unhallow had no idea what they were supposed to do with whatever information gained here. Regardless, there was little Blue Jay would be able to do without the aid of another super to begin with, so there was no reason to keep him away from his allies. If he was going to go out of his way to avoid his allies, then it would have been better for Unhallow to just wait in a ditch for their own anyway.
At first, Unhallow didn't think much of there being an extra chair and cup of hot chocolate on the table. The person could have easily stepped out for a moment, or the duo at the table could have easily been expected someone. When a sound came from the area between the chair and the table, Unhallow nearly jumped. Where did it come from? There was no one else in that room. Blue Jay didn't feel even the slightest bit surprised, so it must have been a known power at least? Did someone have the ability to throw their voice or something? Unhallow didn't have time to think too hard about it because one of them was walking rather quickly towards them. They just sighed. At this point Unhallow was wondering if they needed a sign or something because saying the same thing every time they met something new was getting annoying. It was at least a little more reasonable this time given Blue Jay was a complete freak of nature at the moment, but it was still annoying.
"Don't come over here!"
The fight had left Unhallow in a pretty bad state, not just physically, but emotionally too. They could still feel the effects of adrenaline, their heart was still beating unusually fast, and all that meant their power was only slightly weaker than it normally would be in a fight. That was bad for everyone around them. Unhallow doubted it would take longer than a minute or two for the duo inside to feel the effects of their power. It would start out as slight headaches and muscle aches, and it would only get worse the longer Unhallow stayed there. Of course, if they were stupid and decided to get closer to Unhallow, the speed at which the various cells in their bodies died would only speed up.
Once set down, Unhallow got up and walked to the nearest corner. Sitting right in the middle of a doorway was not a good idea given what was happening to the floor thanks to their power. At least people were less likely to walk into a corner like that. It also let them get some distance away from the person that decided it was a good idea to approach them.
"Attacked is one way to put it I guess," Unhallow said bitterly. "They were trying to eat me."
