Geata couldn't shake the nervousness that stuck in the back of his throat. He had come to the crumbling amusement park for a very simple reason: he needed to manage his fear of heights. Of course, simplicity didn't mean ease. He knew full well that it wasn't going to be a piece of cake, but it still needed to be done. Unfortunately, his body seemed to disagree strongly. His heart and stomach turned and protested at the mere thought of his intended actions, but he was determined to see them through. He steadied himself as he looked up at the ferris wheel. Geata thought for a moment about the dragon fight, about his plummet into the beast, of how the fall injured him. He grit his teeth and took a step forward. He could do it, he knew he could. With a sigh, he looked away nervously. He could do it, sure, but not right that second. He was determined to do what he set out to do, but surely there was nothing wrong with taking a short walk to settle his nerves? With a nervous chuckle, he started to explore the amusement park. As usual, Unhallow couldn't sleep. For awhile, they thought they might be able to doze off, but the chaotic nature of their new vision was making it difficult to sleep. Everything was moving weirdly, and their range was so much bigger that even the slightest movements could be a huge surprise. They had a similar problem when they first got their powers, but this fortunately wasn't quite as bad as that. Their brain had gotten used to ignoring a lot of the excess information, so suddenly having a ton of new information piled on top of it was only really bad instead of completely debilitating like before. Sadly, it also meant that every bug moving, every blade of grass swaying in the wind, every movement in the pipes under the island, everything they could see in their new range of about 32 blocks, would shock them awake again. Sometimes it felt like trying to sleep was completely pointless and they should just keep doing stuff until they passed out every few days or so.
When a larger thing entered their range, at first they didn't think much of it just because of how far away they were. However, the mass of particles continued to get closer and after awhile it became obvious that the figure was heading towards their location. Unhallow just sighed. They really weren't in the mood to deal with this again tonight, but it looked like people were just going to keep coming here for no reason. It took them a little while to piece together what the figure actually looked like, but it wasn't anyone they recognized. Unhallow sat up on the beat up mattress they slept on, and once the figure was close enough to hear, the spoke. Their voice was obviously tired and frustrated, despite its robotic sound.
"What are you doing? Don't come over here. Why do people always want to come over here? Just go away."
Granted, they could also sense a figure they identified as Sin Eater here too, but that was different.

Sin Eater was resting, hidden in one of the carriages of the very same Ferris wheel that Geata had considered climbing. Normally, recovering from an injury in Unhallow's presence would have been an oxymoron. However, Sin Eater's regeneration was a sort of natural counter. The more severe the wound she faced, the more quickly it healed, and eventually it resulted in a sort of equillibrium.
As Unhallow grew more powerful, that equillibrium was shifting to the point that Sin Eater would still end up heavily fatigued after enough exposure to the aura, but Sin Eater still deemed it worthwhile. The wounds Sin Eater had absorbed from Unhallow after the dragon fight were just now finishing their recovery, and watching Unhallow's range of negative emotions at the reminder of what Sin Eater had borne on her behalf was quite amusing. Not to mention that keeping Unhallow company would sometimes result in interesting meetings like this one.
Sin Eater didn't bother to poke her head up from the Ferris wheel carriage. She could feel the newcomer's fear fade as he drew further away, but it was replaced by a slow buildup of other physical injuries that signified his approach toward Unhallow. There were some other older injuries there too, Sin Eater sensed, most likely from the fight against the dragon, but it seemed that another healer had tended to them. It was interesting. Healers weren't terribly common, and Sin Eater couldn't quite pick out who had tended to those wounds.
She spoke, her voice lower than a whisper so that only Unhallow would be able to hear with her power.
"Hm, I don't think he realizes that you're killing him yet. But he's already a little bit afraid tonight. Maybe you can scare him off before you hurt him too badly."

Geata simply couldn't believe the quality of the area around him. It was in shambles in the best looking spots, and it only seemed to be getting progressively more ramshackle as he went on. While it didn't do much for encouraging him to climb it, he found it interesting. An eerie calm was over the amusement park, and much to the boy's surprise, he decided it was quite to his liking. It was as if the place was home to a lost spirit, and Geata had always found the topic of ghosts fascinating.
When a voice suddenly rang out from nowhere, Geata felt as though he jumped out of his skin. Although his mask hid it, he grinned sheepishly as he contemplated the voice and its words. While the message was certainly something he'd imagine a specter would be inclined to say, the voice itself was slightly too computerized for him to even try and convince himself it was a ghost. This left him slightly disappointed, but he was by far more curious than not.
"Oh, I'm sorry," he said cheerfully as he put some thought into it. Odds were that it was probably a super, he supposed. It would explain why there really didn't seem to be any signs of life, and it also made sense considering his recent luck. He just couldn't seem to get away from them, not that he was trying. He found the other supers to be... interesting, to say the least. Which led him to wonder about this particular encounter. As much as he knew he would probably dread actually meeting another super, he couldn't help it. His curiosity was off the charts.
"I hadn't realized anyone was around. I was just exploring this place, and I wasn't meaning to disturb you or anything." He paused a moment, taking another good look around before continuing. "Don't worry, I'll be out of your hair in a minute or two. I'll pass you by and that'll be the last you see of me tonight, okay?"
He wondered if the unseen possible-super would be alright with that. He couldn't think of any reason why they wouldn't be, and it wasn't like he was planning on getting permission. He was fully prepared simply teleport on by, if need be, but the voice had caught his attention. While he was still around, he was going to try and learn what he could.
"Oh, I'm Geata, by the way," he called as he started walking again.

Unhallow couldn't see a person's emotions like Sin Eater could, but they could see the subtle effects on their body. This guy practically jumped when Unhallow spoke, and there were other obvious signs of fear like increased heart rate, fidgeting, and the way his eyes moved around, so they were inclined to agree with Sin Eater's analysis. It was nice to at least have it completely confirmed though. Maybe they'd be able to chase away this person without having to fight for once. This time, there was a bit more force in their voice.
"I said leave! You're not welcome here!"
It was only a matter of time before the effects of their power started becoming noticeable anyway. At first it'd start out as light headaches or muscle aches as his muscle cells and blood cells gradually started dying. Unhallow didn't understand why so many people had this fascination with the abandoned amusement park this deep into Keeper territory, or why they thought they could avoid trouble if they came here, but it was really getting annoying. Couldn't they just have one place where they wouldn't be killing everyone for a little bit?

Sin Eater yawned. Her power made it so that she didn't technically need to sleep, but only because her regeneration would eventually counter the exhaustion of staying awake. To be at her mental and physical prime, she'd still need a good night's rest beforehand.
In this case, however, she was yawning because the super below was proving not to be nearly as interesting as she had hoped.
"Threatening movements," she advised Unhallow in a patient whisper. "Advancing steadily toward him, forcing him to move away or collide with you. Psychologically speaking, once people start running away, they're more likely to keep running. And if he doesn't take the hint... well, at least his body could serve as some much-needed fertilizer for the ground here," she finished brightly.

When the other super started to get insistent, Geata slowed down to a stop. He turned directly towards the direction of the voice and tilted his head slightly. He was dealing with a slight headache now, and being told that he absolutely had to leave wasn't something that was going to help. He had offered a workable compromise; there was no point in refusing so harshly. It wasn't quite anything for him to get angry about, but it was enough that he was determined to figure out what the issue was. He made his best guess about where the voice had likely originated and opened up a portal underneath himself, popping up a few feet behind the other super. He took a look at them and stopped for a moment.
"You're the super who was seriously injured," he muttered quietly. "The one the slime girl was looking after. I never got a chance to see what had happened to you." He was sure he was right, even though last time he had seen the person, their costume was in tatters. He looked them over. They had healed up considerably well, given their condition during the fight. It was a miracle they could even stand, as far as he was concerned. Still, given how he was healed by another super, he had no doubts that the same was probably true for the person standing before him. A sense of relief washed over him, and he completely forgot about his earlier fear. "I'm glad you survived," he said with a smile.
It was then that he noticed his headache suddenly being much worse. He supposed it might've been from his trip through the portal messing with his equilibrium, but somehow he doubted it. A quick look around the area showed that the degradation seemed to be somewhat worse in the area than in the rest of the park that he had seen, but he was willing to believe that it was just coincidence or indirectly related. Still, it made him wonder what the other super's power was. After all, if he remembered correctly, it wasn't the first time his head hurt while being around them...
Pushing his curiosity about their powers away for a moment, he instead focused on his curiosity of the current situation. "So why do you want me to leave so badly?" he asked bluntly, although not coldly. "I have reason to be here, even if it is a stupid reason. Now I won't refuse to leave, but I'm not going anywhere until I get a good reason to go. And 'because I said' isn't going to cut it for me." He chuckled a little before rubbing his temples. She could do whatever she wanted to try and get rid of him. He was expecting it. But if Rainbows couldn't scare him off, he was betting on the super in front of him not being able to fare any better.

Unhallow was mentally nodding along with Sin Eater until she started talking about turning the guy into fertilizer. They knew she was just kidding...probably, but that didn't make the comment that much less unsettling. It always bothered Unhallow when she did this, and now hardly seemed like the time for such crass jokes. Unfortunately, while Unhallow was able to hear her from half way across the park just fine, getting the reverse to happen wasn't exactly easy. Shouting at her seemed like a bad idea right now, so the best Unhallow could really do was mentally grumble.
While Unhallow was thinking about what to do next, the intruder decided to make his own move. It was like the world was suddenly pinched and things that shouldn't be next to each other were next to each other, and his body was split in half and yet completely functional. The entire experience was very disorientating, and mildly disturbing; enough so that it made them jump. He then proceeded to prattle on about something they couldn't follow at first. The reference to a slime girl was undoubtedly a derogatory nickname for Arcanum, which made them frown further. It was bad enough that he was here in the first place, they could not understand why so many people came into Keeper territory and then acted like Unhallow was the one being unreasonable, but now he was insulting them too? They had no idea who this guy was, which confirms that he was probably one of the ones watching them sleep during the dragon fight, as though that would be even the least bit useful.
"What are you doing? Don't come over here!" those words were practically reflexive at this point. "Or do. Whatever, I don't even care anymore. You can die like everything else here if you're that eager to."
The bitterness in their voice was palpable. How often did they have to deal with this sort of nonsense? How much did they have to watch people die around them? By this point it was starting to become background noise. Even if Unhallow still found it disturbing, they were getting numb to it at this point. Part of Unhallow was content to just let him become the rotting sack of flesh he seemed to want to be, but they continued to repeat Sin Eater's words in their head. She was right, they might still be able to do something, and they supposed just letting this guy hurt himself like this was probably not a good thing. Slowly, they stood up and stepped off of the decaying mattress they were sitting on and took a few steps towards the intruder. A few steps wouldn't make a noticeable difference in how quickly his body started dying, but as they got closer it would start to get noticeably faster.
"I do not have to worry about injuries. It doesn't matter how much I get hurt, I will always come back from it. Can you say the same for yourself?"

Sin Eater would've been content to simply enjoy Unhallow's discomfort, but when the newcomer suddenly teleported, she felt recognition click in her brain. Those faint signs of injury, that power... Sin Eater stood up in the Ferris Wheel car, looking down below and confirming her suspicions. She recognized this super.
"Ah..." she whispered to Unhallow. "That's Geata. A loner super. Hm... I doubt anyone would miss him. Not that you and I are in a position to say much in that regard."
She leaned against the side of the carriage, a thoughtful smile on her face. According to the sources she had contacted after their encounter, Geata was quite new to the super scene. Sin Eater still hadn't fully considered whether this newcomer might be useful to her plans or to the plans of other Keepers.
"Hm," she mused as she thought on the matter. "Your power is killing him more quickly than usual. It's good that you're learning not to let it bother you so much, though. You're doing just fine."

Geata raised an eyebrow at the other super's words. He could just die like everything else? What exactly was her power? Was it the cause of the headache he had after all? Whatever it was, it made him considerably more interested, personal well being be damned.
When the super started to approach, Geata didn't back down. Instead, he waited to see if anything started to get worse. If he was right about the super's power, he wanted to know for sure.
"You have no worries about being injured?" Geata asked. "That's unusual, but pretty understandable when you put it like that." He shrugged before continuing. "As for me, I suppose I'd have more on the line. I have no guarantee that I'll recover, and I have reason to stay alive for now. That being said, I'm not afraid of getting hurt. I need to get used to it, if I have any hope of accomplishing my goals."
He looked up at the ever looking ferris wheel. "I suppose that's kinda why I'm here in the first place," he said sheepishly. He wasn't going to go into more detail, unless he was asked, and it didn't seem likely that he would be. Either way, though, he was more than willing to stick around see how things played out.

Unhallow continued to walk closer, trying not to let Sin Eater's words bother them. They could clearly see what they were doing to this super, they didn't need the reminder. It was enough to make their nostrils flare a little bit. The information on his identity, was okay they supposed, not that they particularly cared. Unhallow didn't follow supers much, and didn't really care who they were unless they were either part of Pandaemonium or someone somebody else said was important. Given the commentary after, Unhallow wished she kept her mouth shut.
"Then this is entirely pointless. There is nothing here. There will never be anything here. It's not a matter of being afraid of being hurt, it's a matter of common sense. You will gain nothing, so you should just leave."
Unhallow continued approaching at a slow, but steady, pace. With each step, their power would get stronger, but not noticeably so. With as many steps as they've taken now, the difference would start showing itself. They weren't directing their power any yet, though they were considering doing so. Even without that, it was only a matter of time before the aches got worse and the anemia from all the blood cells dying set in.

Sin Eater ducked back down inside the carriage when she saw Geata starting to turn her way again. She would much prefer to remain hidden, for now at least. For some reason, Unhallow had an incredible talent at getting people to let their guard down, no matter how hard she tried to do otherwise. But once Sin Eater was spotted, the game would be up, and she found the exchange below far too entertaining to let that happen just yet.
Instead, she whispered to Unhallow. "Seems he's another stubborn one. I suppose you might have to indulge him. After all, the burned hand teaches best."
Watching Unhallow try to be intimidating was fun, but the more this guy talked, the more Sin Eater found herself enticed by the prospect of watching him die. Thus, her advice to Unhallow was changing accordingly.

Geata looked deadpan at the approaching super. What was it with supers and telling him his reasoning was invalid, he wondered. Still, he was getting a clearer picture of a few things. He was becoming more and more certain that the other person's power was the cause for his headache and other various new pains. Given how they were coming ever steadily closer, he imagined it was reasonable to assume that it would only continue to get worse the closer they got. He quickly scanned the area overhead before doing through a portal onto the roof of the pavilion. He laid on his stomach and peered over the edge at the other super.
"Alright, I understand most of this is gonna sound like pointless drivel, but bear with me, okay?" There was something else he was becoming more clear on, too. He paused a moment before continuing, whether he got an okay or not. "First off, I have a near debilitating fear of heights. Turns my stomach upside down to just think about going up somewhere too high. Now, normally, I'd just tell myself that it's okay and normal and that it's nothing to really worry about. But, as you can imagine, normal has went out the window. Not too long ago I discovered I have the ability to make portals. On top of that, we had our ever lovely guest to the city. Needless to say, a fear of heights sounds stupid and ridiculous in comparison."
Geata realized that he was being far more talkative than usual. He also realized that he was probably talking to a very unwilling audience. It didn't really matter to him, though. He had a point to make and maybe, just maybe, he could have this encounter end on a happy note. Slim chance for it, and probably a stupid thing to hope for, but he was going to try anyway.
"The reason I'm here is to deal with said fear of heights. Just because it's a stupid thing to be afraid of doesn't mean that I'm suddenly not afraid, you know? It's a problem for me, and it's one I have to overcome. So I came here to climb the tallest thing around and sit there, slowly coming to grips that I don't have a reason to be afraid. If you're still paying attention, I'm getting to my point soon."
"Now then, if I'm reading the situation right, and I'm stupid enough that I might not be, so sorry if I make any wrong assumptions. Anyway, if I'm reading everything correctly, your power is essentially the ability to make things around you worse. And because of that, you aren't keen on being around people and hurting them, yeah? That's why you're here. You can't go out and face your fear under normal circumstances because you could kill somebody, so it's better to hide out where almost nobody is stupid enough to come. Am I right so far? If I am, I might have a proposition on how you could face your fears."
Geata was a highly functioning moron and he was aware, but even wasn't stupid enough to think that his offer would be taken without any hesitation. He could only hope that the super was willing to take a chance. If so, Geata would be happy to leave and deal with annoying personal issues later, but if not, he'd at least give them their space. He just hoped he'd be able to end the night with a new ally, if not quite a new friend.

Unhallow sighed, but they couldn't exactly argue with Sin Eater's logic. They hoped to avoid a fight, but if he wasn't going to leave they didn't really have much choice. He wasn't doing anything in particular, so what should they hit? Before they came to a decision, the intruder teleported onto the roof, which was just as disorientating to their senses as before. Irritating, but it's not like it was going to stop their power. Unhallow opted to stand on the ground directly underneath where he was standing on the roof for now. All they really had to do was make sure to move before the roof inevitably crumbled underneath his feet thanks to prolonged exposure to their power.
"Don't try to psychoanalyze me," they hissed. "Your attempts are just embarrassing. Your attempts to explain yourself are even worse, and either prove you're stupid or lying. The skyscrapers in the city are bigger than anything here, so you're being here is entirely pointless. Further, you expect me to believe you're afraid of heights when you just teleported onto the roof of a building? Just leave! Nothing you say will somehow make staying here okay!"
Unhallow took several steps back to get out from underneath where he was standing. If they were going to hit him, then their power would also be going through that roof. It wouldn't last long based on the state it was already in. The real question was what they should hit. Normally when they wanted to scare someone, they'd go for their legs or senses, but he kind of needed those to actually be able to get out of here. After thinking for a moment, they concluded that he probably didn't need his arms right now and started directing some energy towards them. They'd quickly start feeling more achy, and he'd likely start feeling more anemic in general, but soon enough they'd start to just feel numb as the nerves started dying too and the bones started to grow weak.

Sin Eater sprang into motion. She jumped from the carriage, then skidded down the curved rim of the Ferris wheel with one hand on the metal to brace herself. The rust sliced through her hand, but she hardly seemed to notice.
She landed on the cracked pavement some distance from the other two supers. As she straightened up, she pitched her voice to be heard by Geata as well.
"Driving off unwelcome visitors is important, Unhallow, but keeping one's ears open for interesting information and propositions is important too." She turned to Geata and gave him a bright smile as she began to approach. "Hello there. I'm Sin Eater. I don't believe we ever properly met."
