Blue Jay’s grip on the blade did not falter, even as he hit something that was not her arm the impact of striking the gun felt like he’d hit a rod of titanium. The rebound was absorbed by Blue Jay’s arms; like her gun, his sword did not budge an inch. He did, however, raise his brow at her display. She’d moved more quickly in her block than he had in his swing, and he was only recently coming upon his present level of speed outside of teleportation. Impressive, but the point of respect she’d earned wasn’t going to buy her out of shooting civilians. It only went to show he could not afford to underestimate her. Blue Jay kept the pressure on the weapon’s muzzle, pressing down on it with enough force to more than snap any standard person’s arm. Rainfall was clearly far from one’s standard person, however. He did not expect to get so much as a shake out of her hand. But as long as that gun was going to remain pointed upwards and away from any others who could not defend themselves, little more force was needed.
A familiar voice drew Blue Jay’s eyes and a smile to his lips. “You know it. Good to see ya, buddy.” There was nothing like backup from a trusted ally. Feeling renewed in strength and determination, Blue Jay widened to a slightly more comfortable stance and turned back to Rainfall. “You’re a Bulwark too, aren’t you? Why are you shooting these people?”

As the barrage of riot-round bullet hitting everyone in the vicinity, HaLOS noticed one of the Bulwark is healing the injuries. Despite how much that guy take, he seems to be able to heal back the bruise without any problem. It also appeared that a new player has decided to join in with the fight: the wolf-hybrid creature. From their growl, HaLOS can already tell they’re here to help with Blue Jay and whatever he was doing, fighting against some of his own allies.
“New opponents detected, switching strategy,” it said.
Since the riot-round doesn’t seems to give its all, HaLOS put away the two mounted turrets away. It could continue shooting around, but there’re too many uncertainty that the possibility of failing is quite high. It need a new plan that could help it deal with the situation more efficiently; after some split moment, it managed to find one in its mainframe.

After spending the time to tie up the dumb gangster, Nemesis didn't see any reason to continue torturing the guy. She lulled the guy into a sleepy state, content to leave him lying there for now. Before moving on or trying to find a more definitive way to arrest him, a bigger problem had arrived.
Carl found his way back to the scene of the crime. As expected of any hero, he had a problem with what she was doing. Nemesis hoped to get out of this situation without having to fight him. There was no way her namesake would allow any of her powers to work on him. The idea of taking on another good guy by herself sounded like a bad time.
"It's..." No, this was exactly what it looked like. It took forever to justify the mission in her own mind. Words were always a challenge even when she had everything prepared. Explaining everything in a way that made sense to other people would take a long time, and they couldn't afford to sit around and have a conversation. There was work to do.
"Ain't there something bigger to take care of?" Her tone was more questioning than upset by the interruption. To help prove her point, Nemesis motioned in the general direction of where she last heard the giant death vehicle roll around. "Go on, I'll be there in a minute."

Blue Jay lifted his sheath from Rainfall’s gun and sighed. “Harming random Pandaemoniums isn’t going to stop that.” He said tiredly. The fire in her eyes was frightening, especially considering what it had been directed at moments before, but she did not seem keen on attacking them and had not made any moves to attack anyone else. It was time to relax hostilities. “I’m sorry for attacking you.” He said, distantly but sincerely. His stance narrowed and he lowered his sword and sheath to either side of him. “Can we talk this out? I would really rather do that then have to fight someone who should be my ally.”
He cast a glance to Lobisomem and then the large vehicle doing who knows what needlessly destructive action for who knows what reason. Clipping his sheath back onto its holder, he turned again to Rainfall.
“Let’s just stop that truck. After that, you’ll have my ears however much you want. Deal?” With a smile, he extended to her his hand.

It seemed the smoke was not hurting the man repeatedly after all. Sadly, that meant Carl was powerless to stop it, but it also meant that he could focus on the real threat without having to worry about going back to heal the previously healed. It also probably meant that the guy would be fine once her powers stopped working on him, but if not, there would be supers better suited to handling his issues among the Pandaemoniums.
When he saw the smoke approaching him, though, he looked up at Nemesis, eyes wide with disbelief. She really just tried to harm her fellow Bulwark? No wonder the branch had fallen apart, there was no kind of unity. Sure, they may be working towards different goals, but he could understand what she was trying to do. Weaken the enemy and all that. But if Bulwarks here were constantly actually fighting, it was a miracle that the faction hadn't already fallen apart. A word needed to be said.
Luckily for her, that could wait until after the current threat was dealt with. The giant truck made itself stationary, so Carl could forget about getting himself caught in the wheels to try and stop it. As he backed away from the smoke, he shot another glance at Nemesis. He exhaled sharply as he considered his next move, knowing that being upset would only get in the way of rational planning.

Once the victims were confirmed safe, even if they huddled away from them like terrified mice, Lobisomem allowed themselves to find the enemy. A monster of machinery that was bigger than even them.
Their lips peeled back as they pushed out every ounce of courage to charge. They would decide here and now whether beast or machine was stronger!

The sudden impact from Blue Jay’s strike with his sonic blade on its side made a deep impact on the hull of the vehicle. Even though it is armor-plated, the strike overwhelmed its defensive and caused some interior damage, letting out some plume of smoke from its over-heating engine.
“Partial system failure, re-routing energy to back-up system; recording combat data from new supers, transferring them to the central archive.”
Even if these Bulwark continued with their assault on the vehicle, HaLOS can still able to use most of its weapon system to continue its primary mission.

It appeared the Bulwarks were no longer the only ones on the scene. Rainfall's gaze followed the path of Blue Jay's attack to where it met a massive armored vehicle, a monster of smoke and steel that took the devastating hit and rumbled on regardless, moving dangerously close to the healer Bulwark she'd seen before. It didn't look like any military vehicle she'd heard of before, which meant it had probably been built by one of those gadgeteer supers- she'd heard Pandaemonium had one, some guy named Dullahan. Whether or not this was actually that villain, however, anyone driving around a killing machine like that in the Docks was almost certainly up to no good.
With a cursory glance at the offered handshake, she left Blue Jay's arm hanging in the air, instead lowering her gun and walking past him towards the vehicle, addressing him curtly as she did. "Sure. Try not to get your ass killed, and stay out of my line of fire." Even as she spoke, she was reloading her hunting rifle and aiming it at the truck, lining up her shot with a great deal of care, so as to avoid hitting any of the Bulwarks if they chose to attack it directly. For now, at least, she appeared to be on his side- though whether or not they could reconcile after the fact remained to be seen.

Carl barely had time to register that the truck was trying to move before the pain kicked in. Luckily for him, he was still aware of what was going on and how to get himself out of it. After finding out how hamburger felt when it was being ground up, he did his best to relax completely. With his body relaxed, flattened, or torn to shreds, Carl fell out of the mechanism fairly quickly. Almost immediately he used an arm that managed to escape the terrible fate to try and pick himself up, but he still moved slowly enough to give his legs time to expand back to their normal size and regrow missing tidbits. It was by no means a pleasant process, but it was clear that he had experienced injuries of the same caliber before.
After he was standing again, he stared at the lights in the sky as he stretched his back and waited for his body to return to optimal conditions. "Alright, now that that's over," he said to himself, having turned his focus away from the other supers in the area. "Between the shimmering lights over there and the death truck over here, I'd say nowhere in this area is safe from super attacks. It would take too long to go over everywhere over and over again to keep everyone alive, so the smart thing to do would be to get all unpowered people out of harm's way. An evacuation is in order."
Having decided on a plan, Carl gave himself a small nod as he started to walk towards where he had seen the largest group of people run off to. He had no intentions of giving his name on the mission. Tonight hadn't been about making himself more well known in the city; no, that could wait until later. He was there to let people know that the Bulwarks were still around and still capable of helping.
Taking option #2

Massive attacks slammed into the armored truck one after another as Blue Jay and his dog-like ally unleashed their full might upon it. Tough as it was, the steel beast wouldn't be able to stand up to that kind of assault for long, and would either be forced to retreat or simply destroyed. One of the other Bulwarks, meanwhile, had begun to evacuate the area, leaving few easy targets within range. It seemed that the situation had wrapped up, leaving Rainfall with little to shoot at.
She lowered her rifle, standing up and looking around at the surrounding streets. It would've been easy to just move, find a new location and start sniping again, but Pandaemonium wouldn't be fighting amongst themselves forever. Besides, she'd drawn out some of the Bulwarks, and they took precedence. Rainfall had bigger plans in mind than a little hunting.
Clipping her weapon to a belt and slinging it over her back, the gun-slinging super remained where she was, a quiet silhouette framed by the setting sun, casting a long shadow over Pandaemonium's territory. From her high perch, she calmly watched the aftermath, focusing specifically on the Bulwarks. If they came under attack, she'd be there to blow a hole in whatever dared ambush them- and Blue Jay had offered her a deal. Two reasons, just enough to make her stick around in this stinking dump for a little longer.

The damaged was quite severe, but not completely wrecking the vehicle to the point of it need to self-destruct. At the very least, some of the Pandaemonium did get quite bruise from the riot round that it let out from earlier. HaLOS doubt this will put a stop in their growing in number, but since the Bulwark decided to go after it rather than the criminal, HaLOS need to retreat. Even if it is a war-machine, it isn’t stupid to go after four Bulwarks at the same time. The damages are fixable, it just take quite some time.
The Bulwark is so disorganize that it wonder why this faction haven’t gotten dissolve yet from their incompetence in stopping crime. HaLOS doesn’t care if these idiot decided to go against each other for petty reason, what importance is what they’re going to do about the situation at hand. Its primary mission is still the same: stopping the Pandaemonium from growing in power any further. This is simply a minor set-back to that mission; in time, it will eventually achieve its goal. In the mean time, HaLOS have some fixing to do, and more data from these new supers appear in order to create their identity profile for future reference.
