While Jersey wouldn't have shot the man for stealing a pizza, Hope would be damned if he'd let Ophiuchus get away with this. Had he been carrying his pistols, Ophiuchus would have had more than two snake-eyes, that's for sure. "That's my goddamn pizza, and you've got another thing comin' if you think I'm sharin' it with Rattlesnake Jake, here!". He yelled, passionately defending the honor of not only himself, but the hot Italian meal he'd intended on consuming. Answering her second question, he called out once more. "You came to me, sweetcheeks. Not the other way around!". He continued pursuing Ophiuchus. It was quite evident that at least for now, there was nowhere to run besides more alleyways. Hope and Jersey could pursue him relentlessly, without too much fear of losing him. This would not be forgotten.

Ophiuchus briefly glanced back at the woman behind him as she screeched loudly about sharing the pizza. He had not given the idea much thought but his white-haired pursuer did not seem keen on the idea. The snake-man, despite not understanding the Rattlesnake Jake reference, was still amused by it as his venom was remarkably similar to that of a rattlesnake. Ophiuchus began to try to use the other male's preoccupation with the woman to his advantage. He attempted to use objects like dumpsters and trashcans to throw his pursuers off-balance.

Ophiuchus' attempt to throw them off would come as no avail in Jersey's case, as although it caught her off guard, she made a conscious decision to step through - literally through - the obstacles that were cast in her direction instead of wasting the energy vaulting or avoiding them. The attempt to shake them off rather than engage in a response to her shrill screeching only encouraged her to continue the pointless waste of a chase. It was, however, her avoidance of these obstacles that gave her an idea. Filling her lungs with a deep breath of air, she threw all of her efforts into a final sprint, springing forth while his attempts to knock items off balance would likely slow him down. As she came just behind him, it would almost certainly come as a surprise that she instead went straight through him, causing an unusual sensation - not painful, but a deeply unpleasant pressure - in his body. Skittering to a halt about three metres in front of him, she heaved for her breath and clasped at the two pistols hidden in her jacket, flinging them out and directing them at him as a warning to stop, although she clearly had no desire to fire at him. "C'mon," she sighed through heavy breaths, her chest juddering with each rise and fall, "No more cat and mouse, stop running man." It was clear from her voice that she was fed up more than angry, her pistols aimed just past either shoulder as an indication it was just a warning.

Hope grinds to a halt also as Jersey runs straight through Ophiuchus, panting heavily, but keeping his baton gripped firmly. The rise and fall of his chest would be visible through his shirt, and he'd seem mildly fatigued. He nodded to Jersey, gripping his heart tightly. Assuming a very defensive stance, he prepares himself for what might happen next. It was likely that if Ophiuchus gave up the food now (and apologized, of course), that Hope would let him leave. "Nowhere left to run, Parseltongue.". An audible crack would be heard from Hope gripping the baton tightly in his hand, friction creating the foul noise. "Pass the pizza over, and I'll let you and your precious pets leave.".

Ophiuchus hissed in irritation as the woman phased through him and blocked his path. He moved to the side as the man came up behind him in order to keep both pursuers in view. "It's not a game of cat and mouse if only one side is playing." The snake-man bared his fangs at both of them. "Don't ever get a career being a comedian." Ophiuchus barely flinched as the other male made a cracking noise with his baton. "I won't be giving you anything until you've learned your lesson. Harming me or my kin would be a very bad idea."

Clearly confused as to how the hybrid serpentine male managed to remain impervious to any of the ill effects of being essentially phased through, in spite of his molecular composition being temporarily changed in the process, Jersey steadied her stance. She'd come this far, and she wasn't about to back down just because he bared a set of fangs in her direction. Her Beretta 92FS pistols gave her the advantage when it came to the distance - should any of his snakes launch an attack at her, she would not only theoretically be able to avoid it, but she would likely be able to react quick enough by discharging her pistols at him. Nonetheless, she wouldn't take the first shot, and simply held her position in the face of what were thusfar empty threats. "C'mon, it's just a fuckin' pizza," she groaned, "You can buy one for fuckin' five dollars."

As the game of cat and mouse had finally been ceased through the seemingly never-ending alleyway, Hope also stopped, staring at Ophiuchus perversely for a second, still pondering over quite how he'd managed to be completely unaffected by Jersey's power. Regardless, he kept a steady hand on the baton. Raising his right hand, baton with it, he pointed it towards Ophiuchus. He was clearly unafraid of the snake-like male. After all, he'd given him no reason to assume that he was a threat at this sort of distance, leaving Ophiuchus outnumbered, and outgunned. "That's not just a pizza, it's the best pizza in Emerald City... And they're only five dollars with discount, which Slithers here won't be getting!". He lowered the baton back down, keeping it in line with his thigh. "We've told you once, we'll tell you again! Put the goddamn pizza down and walk away! I might even forget about your powered antics in the city.".
Hope wasn't going to back down, and neither was Jersey. Ophiuchus could simply stand there all day, but it wouldn't end well for him. An attack on either Hope or Jersey would result most likely in his death or severe injury at this point, and waiting too much longer would attract further attention from the Rein Initiative, likely putting Ophiuchus at further risk in the future, and vicariously, the Keepers as a whole.

Ophiuchus rolled his eyes as his pursuers continued their banter. He hoped the other man would run out of snake puns soon. "You're not the only ones who keep repeating themselves. I could, but that would defeat the purpose of you learning your lesson. I'm not the only super here so you should look in your own backyard before you go snooping in someone else's."

And then, suddenly, the pizza fell out of existence.
Or, rather, it fell through a portal and into the hands of Geata, who was standing on a nearby rooftop. He had happened across the strange situation and watched with interest, but it seemed the spectacle was about to end. Violently. He couldn't let that happen.
"Hello, ladies," he'd call with a healthy dose of humor, making good and sure that the assembled group of supers realized where the prize had gone to. "Personally more of a Meat Lover's fan, myself, but pizza is pizza and pizza is good. Can't say I've seen any of your faces 'round these parts, so I offer you a deal: give an introduction, who you are, who you're working for, maybe even a basic long term goal, and I'll consider letting you all fight over this again. Or you could try to go toe to toe with the Portal Master Extraordinaire, Geata. Your choice, but I make no promises to sticking around if you choose the second option~"
Geata held the pizza in one hand, the other stuffed in his pocket. His new sword was sheathed on his back, and he wasn't standing combatively. If anything, he didn't seem to concerned at all. His body language conveyed a general lack of worry, and even though his mouth was covered by his mask, it was blatantly obvious that he was smirking down at the group.
