“What? But I made a lot of the…” Edgar turned to the table, expecting to see more of the pancake that he made earlier, only to find all the dishes are empty. The only things that are left on them are the few scramble eggs that he made to accompany with them. Did the girl Sam managed to eat all of the pancakes he made and left all the eggs? She ate all of that and she’s still hungry?
“How in the world does this girl doesn’t gain weight from this?” he thought to himself. Once the cleaning of the kitchen counter and utensils is done, he turned toward the red-head Amy:
“Well, I guess I can make more pancake again, but I’m not promising they’ll turn out perfect.”
He picked up the pancake batter flour that Sam got out of the cupboard and poured them into the metal mixture bowl. Good thing that he has managed to survive living by himself all this time, he at least knew the basic method of baking pancake: dry-mixing the flour with some sugar, salt and baking soda. Once the dry-mix is done, he pulled out some milk, eggs and butter in the fridge and began to mix them all in the flour. He did end up spilling a little bit of the ingredients on the counter, but nothing that can't be clean.
This is the part where he would often time struggle to find a perfect ratio between the ingredient in the past: either he put too much eggs or too little milk that would end up causing the pancake to turn out a bit dry as a result. The next issue that he usually got is cooking them on the hot plate: either he turned the temperature up little bit too high that the pancake got cook faster than he can pour in more batter, so a few of them would become a bit over-cook while other few got undercook slightly. This time, however, is a bit different: both Amy and Sam are in the kitchen with him, so he at least got some helping hand.
So once he finally got the pancake batter completely ready to fry, he turned to the girls:
“How about you two give me a hand in this? This way we can make sure they’re not being undercook or anything. All you have to do is to flip them when you noticed one of its sides is done and place them on the plate once it finished. It shouldn’t be too hard to do.”
With that said, he sprayed the pan with grease so that the batter doesn’t stick into the pan when they tried to flip the batter over, and began to heat the pan up.
