“And now our top story for today, I would like to introduce to you our special guest. He’s the man who help funded the rebuilding of Emerald City after the devastating dragon attack. Without his aid, we might never be able to recover from such tragedy. Please welcome, Mr. Donavan Tran.”
From the sound of the audience’s applause, a man in his fancy business suit and short blond hair began to walk up to the host of the show and make himself comfortable in his seat. He waved at the audience and the cameraman with a smile on his face. Just as the show host said earlier, Donavan Tran is a philanthropist who is the main contributor to the downtown rebuilding project. Using the contribution in his own charity group, the Donavan Tran Foundation, in the eyes of everyone here he’s a savior to the city.
“Thank you for accepting our request to appear in the show, Mr. Tran,” the host said, “we understand your schedule is quite tight, considering how much effort is needed to rebuild our city.”
“Oh it is no problem at all,” Donavan replied, “as a man born and raise in this city, it is my responsibility to help this city return back to its former glory.”
Among the crowd of audience, one of them is here for quite another reason. In the past, Donavan has been facing a few of legal charges involving questionable transaction and fraud, even for having some connection to organize crime. All of those charges were ended when the charges were dropped right before the trial can begin, and people just went on without thinking too much about it.
One of the audience members decided to leave the room to get to the bathroom while the show is continuing. Once he’s out of everyone’s sight, including the security camera, the man started to change his appearance into another person wearing a security outfit.
“Now then, let’s see what you might be hiding from the public, Mr. Tran.” He said to himself before leaving the stall in the bathroom.
Knowing the full layout of this whole TV station, Anonymous can easily track down the location of Donavan’s waiting room. The philanthropist’s home is fully secured like a fortress, arming with all type of security system: from finger-print recognition to guard dogs. If he was to be able to get inside his home without triggering any form of alarm, he need to know the inside and out of the place and how to bypass them.
What he need is a way to bypass all of that, and for that he needs to plant a tiny little router in Donavan’s coat. Since everything is connected to computer these days, once Anonymous get his router inside the house, he can be able to hack into the system in order to obtain what he was looking for. The talk-show interview will last for a little more than half an hour, so he can easily take his time for this.
Scheme: planting a router in order to hack into one of Emerald City’s philanthropists to get any type of classified information that could be use.

Carl was almost annoyed when he heard that some other random rich asshole was being hailed as the main contributor to the reconstruction of downtown. He bet it was because the guy bribed the media, the pompous ass. Of course he was able to give so much money; it wasn't like it was his. His "charity" might as well have been called the "Give Tran More Money Foundation". It was outright insulting to Carl, who actually had to make legitimate business decisions to fund his charities and couldn't rely on bankruptcy to bail him out of financial debt should he fall that low. It didn't help that he still had a few charities going in other cities, too, so he couldn't devote all his time to Emerald City when out of costume.
Still, in costume, Carl was a superhero and needed to be super heroic. If he felt so irritated at Tran, he could bet that there would be villains taking advantage of the opportunity to make a move on him, be it financially or an attempt on his life. Either way, Carl was there to (begrudgingly) save the day. His belt was now fully equipped with his fourth phantom and with jars to spare still. He was standing in the shadows, out of the way, somewhere where he could slip away quickly and still stay out of sight, watching the audience. When one man slipped away and didn't return at a usual time, Carl followed suit.
Carl didn't quite know where the man had gone, but the reasonable place to start looking would be Tran's dressing room. If he were to try to set up an ambush, that'd be where he'd do it. There was little point in trying to hide from the security cameras, so Carl didn't bother, instead making his way straight to the room.
OPPOSING: stopping potential villain activity. Even if the victim may or may not deserve it << >>

Azoth had known it would only be a matter of time before Anonymous called in one of his favors. What they would be, she couldn’t fully imagine, but she was expecting the worst. She couldn’t be more relieved that this, planting a bug in a computer, was all he wanted. She had come immediately upon his summoning.
Though, while Anonymous entered the building, Azoth herself stayed outside. It was a large station, but its entirety was easily within her range, so she had little need to put herself in the front lines. With Anonymous’s powers, and what he knew of hers, especially. Before he had gone in, she had spoken to him a fairly simple plan: all she needed was a location and what Anonymous wanted done. The second she knew he could communicate telepathically (and he would, in turn, hear anything she needed him to). As for the first, she assumed if he could mimic her power’s data to the degree he had at the factory, he could at least handle sending her the location of what he wanted done - perhaps not at the exact detail that was needed to operate her powers, but enough that she could make an inference with a suitable degree of accuracy. Security cameras could be cut, walls could be sliced into doors, fog could cover his tracks - and should subtly need be discarded, explosions and felled ceilings were a simple request away. There would be a slight delay as she double checked the sent location first, but it would amount to no more than half a second at absolute most.
She was putting command in his hands, but she had little to personally gain from this mission, so she would happily do it however he saw fit. For now, she sat back in the shadows of the building, underneath a malfunctioning camera, and waited.

A truck crept its way through the parking lot, slipping into a parking spot. Phenomenon was inside, and next to him a pile of parts. A mound of materials, a cache of components, all for weapons he had yet to make. They would be assembled when he needed them, mostly as explosives of a wide variety but there was potential for other creations. RC cars were in that potential, and would likely be used. There was little to no reason for the super to be present at the Boulevard, but he felt bad. It was foreign and unwelcome, but present. After his last excursion with Mass, he had a bit of a revelation. When one's mind sorts through ideas very quickly it can lead to philosophical epiphanies more regularly than otherwise, and this one was in regards to the other supers. Everyone had their own lives, businesses, traits, weaknesses, ideals, goals, and the like. Even if they also put on costumes and did ridiculous things, they were still people. This didn't change his mind about a lot, because "just people" were as susceptible to explosions as plain people. He would just have to steer a little more clear of child endangerment, as that was his least favorite thing, and the guilt came from watching Azoth catch a Gluttony hand. She couldn't have been too old, and even if she was there was a frailty there that bothered him. Amusing, given that from her position she could likely destroy him.
Phenomenon moved on to less thought provoking things, such as the task at hand. There would need to be a form of communication between whoever he was working with. As any good Keeper would, he had a basic idea of the situation at hand; Tran was a bad man in for a bad time at the hands of some supers. The masked man reached out to establish a link of communication with Azoth, familiar enough to find with ease. "Check, check check. Phenomenon, here to offer a bit of assistance. Just give me a bit of a briefing, think and I'll pick it up." The voice transmitted not as noise but as a weak memory, as though someone had just said it but it was already starting to fade from mind. He awaited a command, glancing over at his stack of supplies.
Supporting: Because guilt.

With the press of a button, Zenith cycled through the dozens of security cameras under her command. It did not talk much effort to hack into the nearby buildings in order to observe what when on. As far as she could tell, this particular area frequently came under attack from enemy supers. Probably had something to do with the various media outlets around, and an innate desire to show off.
This would have remained a fun piece of trivia if weren't for one other fact. Apparently, someone went after the news station after the previous dragon encounter from a few months ago. The odds of a similar effort happening again were significantly higher. So Zenith kept guard over the entire area, which primarily involved watching nothing important happen. Boring work. She considered it fortunate that she couldn't feel bored. Besides, there was nothing else to do tonight.
"Ah." While she flipped through the different camera feeds faster than most people could keep up, something at one of the television stations caught her attention. According to the schedule, there was an interview she didn't care about taking place. The chances of another super interrupting were high. While she did not have enough evidence to prove anything was about to happen, she only needed a moment to jog over there and examine the entire structure. Even a false alarm may be worth investigating.
OPPOSING: Crimes are still bad.

Anonymous figured that little Misty would eventually agreed to his offer, and such good thing too. Not even long after he left the men’s room does he detect other present in the building. One he can make it out as a familiar woman who zipped around during the idiotic event that Blue Jay and Geata made at the power station. The other voice is quite different; rather, there is some sort of interference in his mind, a small electrical hum going through his brain.
To make the situation more annoying, the two of them are heading toward the very room that he was after. It was déjà vu all over again, like that time he raced with Azoth to get into the room to get the information. Now it looks like a three-way race, and those two doesn’t seem to be someone who might share a common interest with his.
“Oh little Misty,” Anonymous communicated to Azoth with his mind, “it appeared that we have some…infestation going around the news station. How about you and your little friend come in here and help me deal with these pests? Maybe you can make the whole hallway all foggy again like the last time; that outa slow them down right?”
Anonymous chuckled slightly; it wasn’t the plan he has to deal with these two supers running around the area. The good news: so far there’re only two of them in the building, so both Azoth and her companion can probably handle them on their own. The bad news: Azoth doesn’t seem to be someone who can take a punch to the face without being knock unconscious; and he has no info on that guy who’s with her today. If he was Geata, then at least the distraction might have been simpler to deal with: all the bastard has to do is keep teleporting around like a jack-ass.
He checked his watch: he has about twenty-five minutes before the talk show is over. It’s a good thing that Azoth is here: they have to deal with the two interlopers without causing too much attention toward them. And if there’s one thing that little Azoth is good at, it’s being a sneaky little girl. In the meantime, he pulled out his sword cane and gets himself ready for a confrontation. If Azoth is doing what she was asked to do, then the security system will get disable soon:
“This is going to be interesting.”

Carl may not have liked Tran in the slightest, but even assholes didn't deserve to be on the receiving end of villainous mischief. The odds of him being targeted were high, so Carl couldn't turn a blind eye.
That was what Carl kept telling himself as he made his way to the dressing room.
He readied the corpse jars absently. The enemy could be anywhere, preparing for an ambush behind that corner up ahead or moving around to strike from behind. It wasn't ideal, him being a front lines fighter on his own, but luckily he was capable of handling almost any situation. The lids slid off the jars as walked along, his mind blanking as he let muscle memory and instinct take over for now.

“Phenomenon?” Azoth spoke aloud to the (second) voice in her head, before realizing she didn’t have to. Working with telepaths was something that was going to take some adjusting to. Unsure how deep Phenomenon’s powers went, she made sure to think clearly in return, “I’m aiding Anonymous with his mission on a favor.” She hesitated to explain further, in case Phenomenon’s offer of aid in turn was untruthful. But what reason would he have to lie? It was possible there was some underlying conspiracy to hamper her efforts - after her last mission with other Keepers, and what she wouldn’t put past Sin Eater, she’d be willing to believe it.
However, one point of reference was not enough to draw such a conclusion from. As it held, it was still much more likely Phenomenon was here to help, and she saw no reason to turn him down. If anything, this provided an opportunity to gather more accurate impressions of another Keeper.
She continued mentally. “The mission is to plant a bug in their computer system without their knowledge. Anonymous has already entered. Anonymous -” she assumed the other super was listening in, “reinforcements have arrived. Phenomenon is an ally.”
As per his request, security systems spotted by Anonymous and sent to Azoth were dismantled almost immediately after the information came her way. The super’s suggestion to come in, however, was met with a reluctance. “I do not see any reason to enter as of yet. I believe I will remain out here.” Nodding to herself, she continued with her work.

Zenith waited across the street from the studio, paralyzed by indecision. For multiple reasons, this location was less than ideal. In order to sufficiently incapacitate the targets, she needed to disable part of the safety mechanism that made sure her ability didn't destroy anything unnecessary. Even if she could single out one person to strike, they would end up crashing into something and disrupting the business taking place. Should she try to evacuate the premises? That may lower civilian casualties. . . or cause a panic, which would be exactly what the villains intended.
There must be some sort of precedence for situations such as this. Zenith refused to believe that there were zero similar cases to work off of. She probably stored it away in the back corner of her mind; something from the years before she was asked to operate by herself. It would take some time to search for a long forgotten memory, but the end result should justify the effort.

Anonymous sighed; the situation has started to get more annoying by the minutes. Now there’s another brain pattern entering his field, and he can already tell he’s not here to have peaceful talk. The fuzzy thought that he got over the guy from earlier now started to move around; they don’t seems to be sentient, or at least fully sentient that they can think to themselves. As he got closer to the target room, he now has a clearer image of what that guy is doing here. Honestly, shouldn’t the Bulwark be more focusing on helping these people rebuilding the downtown area?
“Little Misty,” Anonymous talked to Azoth through his mind again, “you sure you don’t want to come in? This party seems to get more crowded by the minutes, and I just hate it if you didn’t have some enjoyment out of it.”
These Bulwarks really have way too much free time to worry about something this insignificant. Guess that explain why the people have such a low view on them, seeing how they will get involved in something as trivial as this. Anonymous began to quicken the pace; now that there’re three opponents showing up, he doesn’t have a big time-window to work with. He would like the feeling of adrenaline coursing through him right now, if it wasn’t for the fact that he need to plant that router on Donavan before he leave.
After all, considering he’s a philanthropist, he might have some connection to a certain underground ground for the unpowered. It’s a stretch, but it’s worth investigating on, and he’ll not let these idiot Bulwarks stand in his way to uncover the truth.

Well, that was unexpected. All of the calculating and strategizing Zenith just completed did not account for the arrival the Bulwark hero. Or the tiny car with a grenade, but attacking from the front gave her enough of an opportunity to avoid the shrapnel. Clearly, she wasn't going to have time to stand her and think about things. The longer she waited, the more complications appeared out of nowhere. Allowing this battle to drag on any further would be a problem.
If Plague Doctor was already running around yelling at people, she saw no reason to worry about disrupting the business here. Certainly, these people would appreciate being alive and learn to tolerate the mild discomfort. At the very least, it should prevent the villains from succeeding in their mission, which was the only thing that really mattered.
Now, how to quickly get everyone out of the studio. . .

Anonymous felt a little zing up his brain; it wasn’t a terrible feeling, but he did noticed the feeling. Considering he’s up against the two unknown opponents, he can only guess one of them is responsible for it. Good thing that he stabled his mind before that happen; who know what it will do if he didn’t take in the precaution.
“Fine, you do what you do then,” he communicated to Azoth, sounding slightly disappointed. As he was about to head forward, he noticed another brain pattern appeared behind him. It isn’t a super, he doesn’t think, but it’s still a hassle.
“Excuse me sir?” a voice coming from behind him, “you shouldn’t be back here, this area is off-limit.”
With some quick thinking, Anonymous changed his face so that it looks like a gruffy man in his mid-thirty. Looking back to see who it was, he noticed it was simply a cameraman happen to be heading to his direction right now. Pulling out a small wallet, Anonymous make it looks like a badge to the guy:
“I apologize, I'm Detective Travis Columbo; Mr. Tran hired me to investigate when he receive some threatening letters. Sorry I was late; traffic was a nightmare.”
The man looks at the wallet and sees a legit badge before his eyes; he apologized for interrupting with him:
“It is quite alright,” Anonymous said to the man, “Mr. Tran was worry that someone might be stalking him, so if you see anyone that’s out of the ordinary, especially if they’re…” he lean in closer to whisper, “supers, please let me know immediately. His life might be in danger.”
The man looked really shock at the news, but was shushed by Anonymous, explaining that right now he’s undercover:
“…so please, keep this as a secret, okay?”
“Y-Yes sir.”
With that, the man returned to his usual business; once he’s out of the corner, Anonymous shifted his face back to his usual featureless image before quickly heading down the hallway; Tran’s room should be close now. Checking his watch, he only have fifteen more minutes before the talk show is over.
