Wicked whispers wound their way through the ears of the bored and the sinful, taunting and tantalizing. Halloween is coming! The night of sugar, costumes, and fun! Got any plans?
The youngest would be out in their neighborhoods, waddling about from house to house to beg for the treats their parents would never give them. The eldest would be waiting inside those houses, armed with bulging bags of shiny sweets to fend of the armies of swarming children. Good fun for all involved (well, most), and a night to remember for years to come.
For the others, however, a different kind of adventure awaited. Word of it spread through casual conversations, quiet rumors, the posters that seemed to keep going up faster than the authorities could take them down. Pictures of the simple advertisements reached the various social media, and from there the message spread like wildfire, thanks in large part due to the picture displayed on each and every affiche, a clear photograph of a certain blue-haired supervillain winking suggestively at the viewer. Even through a mere representation, her power was hard to resist.
People memorized the time and place, took note of the rules scrawled beneath the pretty picture. Come in your best costume, or not at all. Be nice to each other or else. Entry is free. Bring all your friends, and be ready for the best night of your life!
---
Vampires. Zombies. Ghosts. Werewolves. Witches. Monsters. Fairies. Huge monsters made up of several people in massive constructs of fabric. Costumes based on films, comics, obscure cartoons, even real heroes and villains. Anything and everything came swarming to the edge of the Docks, drawn in spite of the last-minute police warnings and general fear of superpowers by Lust's ability and a certain need, after the horror of the Dragon attack, to celebrate. To release.
The event had yet to even begin, and already a crowd of hundreds had surrounded the huge warehouse where it was supposed to be taking place, lapping against the building like a sea of spirits, churning and cheering and chattering. What might have been a dreary venue had been zealously decorated that very day, with paint, ribbons, and crudely carved pumpkins thrown haphazardly over and around it, giving the whole place a kind of chaotic, festive charm. The doors, however, remained firmly locked in place, as the minutes ticked down to the designated time and the costumed congregation grew more and more excitable.
Within the building, the floor lay mostly clear, but for a pair of very long snack tables and a wide stage at the far end. There stood the star performers, the main entertainment of the night: all four members of a popular boy band who'd agreed to play tonight after a little persuasion, a selection of beautiful backup dancers hand-picked by the city's sexiest supervillain, and the host herself, who outshone all the others with ease.
Lust? Oh, her pink dress fit her well enough, but tonight demanded something special. A thin layer of red fabric clung to every inch of her from the neck down, flimsy to the point of virtual transparency. Lacy patterns of a more opaque crimson hue crisscrossed it in places, covering certain areas and leaving just enough to the imagination. To complete the costume, she'd donned long leather boots and gloves, a pointed tail that swung slowly from side to side as she moved, and an elaborate half-mask that framed her eyes, its edges curling upwards into her hair to form a pair of wickedly sharp horns. A mere sin no longer, Lust had become the Devil herself.
She could hear the storm of excitement building up outside, the people drawn from far and wide by her and the excitement she promised. One way or another, she'd grant their wishes. So many things could turn this night into a roaring success, or an utter disaster. At this stage, she could only know one thing for certain: one way or another, people would never see the supers of Emerald City in quite the same light after what came next.
Hopefully her fellow villains could pull their weight. Lust could entrance and ensnare an audience, but to make this a night to truly remember, she'd need light shows, pyrotechnics, feats that defied all physics and common sense. Security, too, to make sure things didn't get too out of hand and to fend off the superpowered party poopers who might show up just to ruin all the fun.
However things went, this would be a Halloween to remember. Listening to the rising noise outside, Lust heard it reach a crescendo, and smiled to herself. Even a tease such as her couldn't hold a good party back for long. Raising her demonic trident (a cunningly disguised microphone) to her lips, she gave the word. "I'd say it's time. Open the gates!"
The doors opened, and all hell broke loose.

Wrath stood outside of the warehouse, a wall of flames barely separating the massive crowd from the front doors. She could see them pounding against the sides and windows with the force of their excitement. The crowd started pressing forward, causing the little red head to flare the firewall.
"Hold your horses! You'll get to rub up on Lust soon!"
That's when said sins voice reached her little ears. That time already? Alright then. With one hand she morphed the firewall into a giant floating pumpkin above the warehouse. The doors flung open behind her as the pumpkin fireball signaled to the crowd. They moved as one, a legion of bodies turned into a single entity. The petite woman's eyes widened as the washed over her like a wave of ghosts. As soon as the passed through, she was sitting up from the ground. Once again trampled because of her smaller size. Rubbing her head she noticed a hand being held out in front of her. She looked up to see a a six foot version of... herself. Smirking she took the hand and stood up.
"Nice costume. Enjoy the party."
With that she walked into the warehouse to see the horde having a blast inside. Her costume was a little out of the ordinary. It was Agnaktor armor from the Monster Hunter series. The chest piece was comprises of red layered armor pieces on the front and white sides made to look like giant lizard skin. She had a red cloth covering between her legs and two long tails made of red and white strips behind her. Along with a shield that looked like a dragon's face, a head piece that looks like a knight's helmet, and a lovingly created gunlance. Smiling for once, Wrath wove into the crowd to find Lust. This Halloween was going to be a blast.

A strange pull had slowly lured Lobisomem to the Docks, a smell that definitely not blood or food, but was tempting regardless. They felt themselves shift halfway as they sprang across building and raced across the streets, until they looked like a real-life werewolf.
They stood and waited as the costumed monsters threw themselves up against the walls, waiting to get in. Immediately, the gates opened, revealing hordes of food and party. Despite themselves, Lobisomem found themselves pulled into it. They didn't intend to stay and party however, their night would not be wasted in such a way. No, they wanted to take what they wanted now.
They strolled into the party, receiving compliments on their clever "costume". They smiled back, if only to be polite, and settled next to the snack tables. Before anyone could see their face, they shifted, towering over the men and women.
Amazingly, the crowd cheered as they plucked up a whole group of plates, clearly thinking they were part of the effects...at least till they growled at them. A true werewolf had entered the room.

Sitting at the Bulwark HQ, realizing how boring he must look, Hivemind stood up and walked over to the window. The lights of Emerald City always amazed him. He's admired the lights before and noticed that there was more light in the sky than any other the other nights. Having nothing else to do, he decided to leave the HQ and check it out. Being cautious, Hive sent a fly into the sky to see if there was anything going on. Usually, the Docks were seen as a darker part of the city, but tonight, there were lights all around a warehouse. Being even more cautious, he commanded the fly to head to the warehouse to check and see what is going on.
The fly had finally made it to the docks, and was about to enter the warehouse. Before entering the warehouse, Hivemind noticed crowds of people entering the warehouse. The people entering the party were wearing special garb. "Is that a zombie?!? What is that? A demon?!" Realizing it after he said it, he came to the conclusion on what they could be doing. A Halloween Party... Hive hasn't heard anything about a party, not even a word from any of the other Bulwarks. He sent the fly into the warehouse and noticed a super in costume. The costume clad super was dressed like the devil, and people were flocking to the devil like flies to garbage. There was only one super Hive knew of that could make people be attracted to them. Lust.
Before thinking about what she could be actually doing, his mind went straight to idea of a dastardly plot going down. Disconnecting from the fly, Hivemind went to see if there was anyone else in the HQ. "Seems empty", I guess I can send some insects to try and get a group to help me." That is exactly what he did. He summoned a swarm of insects with little notes attached to them. The note contained the location of the warehouse, what was going down, and why he needed help. Before heading to the Docks, he decided to try and sneak in to the party. "I'm gonna need a costume in order to blend in." Thinking about other supers with powers, an idea came into Hivemind's mind. Who was another super who was connected to insects or had something to do with insects. There was one in particular. Spider-Man.
With his civilian clothes on, Hive headed to the local Halloween store. Entering he noticed tons of people getting costumes, accessories, and other things they needed for Halloween. He quickly found a Spider-Man costume that was his size, rushed into the line, and waited 10 minutes until it was his turn. The transaction was simple. $30 for his costume, and he immediately rushed out of the store. Hivemind headed back to the Bulwark HQ to don his costume. The costume fit perfectly. It wasn't the greatest quality of costume, but it fit the part. He was finally ready. "Let's go party crashing."
Hivemind made his way to the docks and noticed the crowds of people entering the warehouse. He got in line, and waited until he could enter. People in the crowd were dressed as ghouls, zombies, werewolves, and etc. They were asking him why he was Spider-Man, and not something scarier. Thinking about a way to cover his tracks, he thought of something. "I always thought it would be cool to be a super, and I don't have powers, so this is the only way I can pretend to be super-powered." They gave him weird looks, and minded their own business. It worked. They believed him enough to not care. A few minutes later, Spider-Hive entered the warehouse and made his way towards Lust. He couldn't identify any other supers, but they could be dressed up too.
It was his time to wait for reinforcements and stop the possible evil plot. Sure, it didn't seem like the worst thing to oppose, but we don't want the city in chaos. That's one of the major things you want to avoid when protecting a city. "Let's see what they have up their sleeves."
Opposing: Team Wolf-In-Sheep's-Clothing. Infiltrate the party, stop the villains from causing all out chaos, and keep the city under control.

Greed - who was wearing a costume that seemed to be of a Jack-O-Lantern with a real light up mask and black costume beneath. On his arms were two broken shackles. Apparently, he was going as the spirit of Halloween. - found himself in a large crowd of people. Of course. Greed strongly disliked being in crowds... Being as small as he was, it made him feel uncomfortable to be surrounded by much larger people. Especially since he looked like a gosh darn pre-teen. However, this night the golden sin would show them how strong he really was. Just as he finished this thought, some small child knocked him over in a rush to get to the candy. A large ruby popped up in the path in front of him, which caused a throng of people to go after the ruby. You could always count on greed to get people moving.
Greed - the person - walked over the people trying to get a better place in line, then one of them grabbed him and pushed him back. This is why being small sucked. He started moving around them in hopes of getting through and... Success! Now to get through... 100 more people... He sighed as he started pulling money from his pockets and telling people if they gave him their spot he'd give them the money. He really wanted in... Luckily, at least 12 people accepted his offer. But the rest were too affected by Lust to allow him through.
He sighed as he was finally given the chance to go in. He was about to scream at the top of his lungs if he didn't soon enough. He got past the door guard and was greeted by his wildest dreams! Drooling a bit, he found himself trying to shove candy in his pockets. Free candy. This was the best Halloween ever. He couldn't wait for the rest of the "festivities" Lust had promised him to start.
When Greed finished his candy stuffing; he felt it necessary to go meet the hostess. After grabbing a pail of candy and stuffing it down his shirt, of course. He made his way to the stage and bent on one knee before grabbing her hand and raising it to his lips. "M'Lady, may I say you look absolutely stunning as always?" He said smiling up at her behind his mask.

"ALRIGHT MONGRELS THE LADY OF NIGHT, with my permission, HAS ALLOWED YOU ENTRY!!!"
Pride was serving as a second body guard and means of attracting a crowd. The costume he had chosen perfectly for tonight's event, matched his beloved flame's armor at her suggestion. Well it was more a blunt "shut up just pick this" but he had researched it and yes a magnificent creature was the agnaktor and the armor it made. Bright red armor flared about the shoulders and was coated with specks of pink and obsidian blue. On his back rested a long sword which resembled a geyser of lava rising from molten stones. He was hot in every meaning of the word and took off his helm to allow himself a chance to run a hand through his ever perfect hair. If Lust's power had a weak effect on some, his was sure to finish off the female with his own looks and abilities, it was simply his duty. After placing the helmet back on he made his way across the floor, their job of keeping the masses back was over, now he could at least relax slightly. Then he heard the metal in his right glove crunch as he gripped it when he saw his sin hit the floor but someone actually lifted her up. A hideous replication of her beauty but nice none the less. He sighed before quickly slipping through the crowd, some of them giving him a bit of a berth as he released a bit of his aura.
"Ah dear flame your recommendation and costume are equally splendid, might I have a dance with you to celebrate this grand night of sins?"
He had bowed and raised his arm as he made the request, this was the sins night and like hell if he wasn't gonna enjoy it with his favorite.

The floodgates were opened, and the revelers poured in, filling the space with thunderous noise. The warehouse would never be able to hold all of them, but that was okay, the bigger the party the better. Lust gave brief signal to her band, and they began to play, loud and heavy music thrumming out from amplifiers overhead to match the noise of the crowd. Her dancers stepped forwards, beginning an alluring and acrobatic performance as Lust moved back, away from the lights, where most would be unable to see her.
Deeply-rooted instincts urged her to step out and present herself to everyone, but she had to be careful. The stage was tall, and quite sturdily constructed for something put up so quickly, but the rush of the crowd was formidable, and if they were lured in by her power as they entered it was not unlikely they'd topple the whole edifice. Better to wait for now, let things calm down just a little before she fully emerged to rile them up again. Patience, and the measured use of her various assets, would keep excitement high throughout, turning what might have been a mediocre rave into something truly incredible.
So she held back, waiting, as Greed somehow found his way through the mess and up to meet her. She greeted him with a flirtatious smile, offering her hand even as he reached to take it. His compliment drew a light laugh from her, more visible than audible over the noise but evidently quite an affectionate one. "Well, look who's being a gentleman this evening!" She leaned in, moving closer so that he could hear her, perhaps a little closer than necessary. "Let's say... I'll treat you to a dance, once our guests are drunk and happy. And any valuables that happen to be left here at the end are all yours. But for now, I need someone to be a darling and make sure nobody interrupts our little celebration, hm?" Her hand slipped from his grasp, but then she raised it to her lips, very slowly and lasciviously licking the spot where he'd touched it. "Feeling motivated?"
Without waiting for an answer, she spun and strode towards center stage, giving him a very clear view of the crimson fabric stretched tightly around her ample derrière as she turned her attention to the party at large.
A visible wave swept over the crowd as she strutted her way into the light, drawing every eye still sober enough to look. Even some of those near Lobisomem's emergence turned to gaze, willing to take their eyes off a large and dangerous beast to get a quick peak at the sexy devil who'd shown up onstage. Lust basked in their attention, delighting it, her every movement serving to excite and arouse and set every heart in the whole, huge space beating faster.
She spoke, and the microphone in her trident amplified her hypnotic voice so that every ear in the room could hear the tones that got their blood pumping, saliva dripping, and various other fluids rushing. "Well... well... well." A cliched line to start with, as a villain, but she was dressed as a literal devil and was pretty enough to get away with it. "Look who showed up tonight!" She smiled at them all, making brief but meaningful eye contact with Wrath as she did. "How about we kick things up a notch..."

Lobisomem paused momentarily to look over their shoulder, clenching their jaws as they noticed nobody else taking advantage of the situation. How come whenever they stole something, it was horrible, but whenever a villain did it, people fell over themselves to help?
"Fucking hell!" They snapped, crushing plates together into an ungainly mess and stuffing everything. Was it a bad idea to eat some of those plates?...maybe...but they'd regret it later.
They had to leave, now!

The diminutive warrior raised an eyebrow as Pride asked for a dance. He had done well with his costume considering she just threw the idea his way. The armor really suited him. Made him look more badass than she was used to. The redhead toyed with saying no for a moment, just to irritate him. But he was bowing so nicely... Placing a hand on his arm, she smiled wickedly.
"I suppose one dance couldn't hurt. It is a party after all."
Wrath allowed Pride to lead her to the dance floor. Part of her was very glad he was so much taller than her, no more getting trampled. The rest of her was trying to tamp down the butterflies in her stomach. The duo were able to dance together for a few moments before Lust appeared. Hearing her fellow sin's words she reluctantly pulled from Pride's grasp.
"Looks like I may have to call a rain check on that dance."
She turned from him and raised her arms. Flames from the many scattered candles fizzled out leaving the room in momentary darkness. The dark remained for a heartbeat. Then two. All at once the flames roared back to life and began creating shapes. Bats, ghosts and ghouls made of writhing flames filled the air. They spooked and amazed the party goers before heading towards the stage. They surrounded Lust and turned into demonic faces as they temporarily blocked her from view. The elemental gritted her teeth as the vortex lowered to reveal two Lusts. The original in her devilish costume and an exact copy made of the fires that had previously surrounded her. The fire siren jumped into the crowd and danced with a few of the more drunken members. As one foolishly went in for a kiss the flames extinguished and the various candles relit themselves. Her breathing was slightly labored but Wrath was proud. She hadn't thought her little stunt double would work.

Lobisomem perked up and tilted their head at the singing, listening intently despite themselves. Before they could get moving again, candy rained onto them.
Amazingly, some people were brave enough to snatch the candy from their scales...did they have a death wish!? Lobisomem shook their head clear of that horrible singing and continued to walk, even if now they had a rhythmic spring in their step.

From where she sang onstage, Lust could see the werewolf-looking thing starting to leave. It might have been nice, to have some rogue supers show up at her party so she could fight them and toy with them, but this one was decidedly unattractive. The sooner they got booted out, the better.
Still, wouldn't it be nice to give them a fright before they left? Something to remember, so that rumors of this night would spread through the super community as well as the civilian one. Lust loved to put on a show, and it didn't always have to be a pleasant one.
As she sung and danced, one hand gave a discreet signal. Hidden in the rafters, a fan of hers saw, and opened a cage, shaking it vigorously as he did.
Lust's power didn't only work on humans, it affected other creatures as well, even strange ones like Lobisomem. Knowing she'd need some theatrics for her big party, she'd lured in some bats beforehand, captured them and set them ready to be unleashed at the right moment.
Now, they descended from above, a swarm of flapping, leathery wings and wide ears. They immediately moved to surround Lust, as captivated by her as any of the humans were, circling the devil in a terrifying vortex of flying rodents.
Throughout the warehouse, eyes went wide, and a few screams could be heard. Candy and costumes aside, Halloween was a time for frightening things to come out at night- and a few light scares would make this celebration all the more memorable.

Music filled the air as Lust's dancers left the stage. Wrath giggled despite herself as she watched the intruder attempt to bail. Guests were actually snatching goodies right off of their scales! They didn't even seem to realize that what was in front of them was real! And the animal's reaction! It was almost too much. She heard the clanking of metal and looked up. Bats were pouring from the rafters, causing the partiers to shriek. Lord this is why she adored Halloween! Treats and terror filled the warehouse and there was no way she wasn't taking part.
