HaLOS continued to take note on Blue Jay’s answering its question; Unhallow didn’t really reported their whereabouts once they returned to the Sanctum, so HaLOS was curious as to how they obtain first-aid. Now thanks to Blue Jay’s answer, it can finally created a timeline as to what happen between Unhallow and Blue Jay that night after they got injured from the giant wolf-dragon creature.
“Curiosity,” it replied to Blue Jay’s question, “some of the Keepers have some interested in you, Blue Jay. I simply want to see what reason as to why they have such interest in you.”
Base on what HaLOS compiled together as Blue Jay’s personality profile, he’s quite a curious case of super: he helped his opponent, he shown Unhallow to the Bulwark’s HQ, and he took civilian’s life before his own even though his action sometime put them in further danger than usual. So Unhallow actually know the location of the Bulwark HQ thanks to Blue Jay being an incompetence member, but it doubt they are willing to share this information to the other Keeper.
“Now, this question had been in my mainframe from the beginning: I’ve seen you have the ability to teleport yourself from one place to another, jumping from one rooftop to another. Why couldn’t you use that power to escape the room if you don’t want to stay around? Clearly you could have gotten yourself out of here as soon as you realized you’re trap, so why didn’t you?”

Blue Jay rubbed his knitted brow with his middle and index fingers and crossed his sword arm over his chest. “Because my powers aren’t working right now and like an idiot I wandered into a mess I can’t get out of. I would’ve left if I could. I have no idea why they’re not working, since I know you’re going to ask that next. They just quit ever since that fight you keep referencing.”
If only his powers were working. He may not be able to harm Computer Jerkface, but he’d at least be able to leave. Or put a satisfying slash through the monitors so they couldn’t communicate with them. Blue Jay squeezed the bridge of his nose between his brow, eyes shut, and wished he was anywhere but here right now. “So is that all? Is your ‘curiosity’ satisfied?” He said, sounding more than a little strained.

Blue Jay is getting impatient from its constant questioning him; the more HaLOS learned more about Blue Jay, the more data it feel like it needed from him. He’s a dumb Bulwark, that’s a part of his personality profile. He’s willing to jump in to help anyone in trouble, even if that person is his enemies or doesn’t even want his help. He truly believed the Keepers are a bunch of back-stabbing, emotionless people who care nothing about their teammate. He wasn’t quite wrong about that, but not all Keepers are like that, even if the amounts of those are quite high.
Another usuful insight that HaLOS managed to caught on: it’s seems that Blue Jay’s source of his power is rely on that sword of his. He relied way too much on it, and he talked about it as if the sword is alive. From his personality profile, Blue Jay isn’t crazy; he’s stupid, yes, but not insane. Scanning the sword, HaLOS didn’t detect much of anything that indicated the sword is its own living thing.
“Your answer only brought more questions that needed answer. There would always be more questions; if you feel like I’m wasting your time, should I remind you of your position in this situation? I’ll be the one asking the question, and you shall answer them; my inquiry will continue until I can finally have enough data to fully understand why the Keeper has such interested in you. So, that sword you always carrying around, where did you get it? A family heirloom? You bought it from a pawn shop? Or did it simply find you by itself?”

He responded immediately, not caring that he didn't want to talk about this or that they were starting to get personal. "Found it. On my desk. No idea where it came from." He said stiffly, not looking up. His shoulders and brow grew tighter. They were wasting his time and he did care, and he hated that his powers weren't working so that they could just get away with this.

HaLOS scanned the sword more carefully to see if there’s any marking that could tell its origin. Looking up the design on the Internet, it wasn’t able to find the right sword; all the scanning can tell is that it’s just a normal sword. Blue Jay’s answer was quite vague and unclear, but from his expression he wasn’t lying. Perhaps this mystery need a longer time for HaLOS to find the answer.
In the meantime, there’s one more question that HaLOS need to ask:
“During your encounter with Unhallow, they reported to me that you got hit by a car while trying to teleport around. And yet when I looked at the scene, you appeared untouched and unharmed, without any serious injuries appear anywhere on you. You also somehow survive Unhallow’s power while standing near them. Explain.”

He was impatiently tapping his sword arm with his fingers. “No clue.” He said through his teeth. “Hasn’t happened before. I don’t know why Unhallow’s powers suddenly stopped working on me.”
He looked up at the monitor. “And I did get hurt.” He released his arm to pull up his pant leg. His leg, from a bit below the kneecap to a ways above it, was wrapped in bandages. He’d gone and given it a good skinning in the fight, when he hit the pavement from what he could gather. It’d taken four days, but that and the large bruise on his chest were finally beginning to heal.

HaLOS observed the scars and bandages that Blue Jay showed it through the camera inside the room. The wound from the accident is there, yet they don’t look like he got these injuries from a car crash. So unless the image it got from the car colliding with Blue Jay was compromise, the guy should’ve been in extensive care in a hospital. It’s almost as if someone, or something, is protecting him from getting damaged for some reason. It is also strange that even him doesn’t know how his own power work.
Is that why the Keeper have such an interested in him? His healing ability? Because HaLOS believe there’s one of them in their rank somewhere that has a similar ability. It didn’t really remember their name, but it might have seen them going around somewhere in the Sanctum. Either way, it is clear that currently his power isn’t working at the moment, so HaLOS can’t clearly observe the source and what it can do. That mean there’s no longer any need to keep him here, since obviously HaLOS can’t get a clear reading of Blue Jay’s power if he can’t perform it.
“Many points of data are still missing,” it said to him, “insufficient sample size, need more data, more time to uncover. No further question, for now. Blue Jay, we shall meet again in the future in order to update your personality profile. Until we meet again.”
HaLOS then switched off the monitors and release the locking mechanism on the door. It still keep a close eyes on Blue Jay via cameras in order to see where he might go from here. Perhaps in the future, HaLOS can gain more data in order to further understand the source of his power. Perhaps once it understand how his power work, Blue Jay might be quite useful to him after all.

The 'for now' was what bothered Blue Jay the most. As far as he was going to have a hand in it, this was never going to happen again. This had been a fluke - a result of his lack of powers and otherwise easily avoidable. That's what made the click of the lock bittersweet. It was over, but he still couldn't believe this had happened in the first place. He felt like leaving, taking the exit as this faceless Keeper allowed it, was still giving in. He was playing by their rules.
But he was done with the ruined building and this conversation. He had been for several minutes. It was about time he went home, redressed his wound, got something to eat, and did what he should've been doing all day; resting. This had been plenty of adventure and stress to last him for the rest of the day and tomorrow.
Blue Jay took his leave quietly, grumbling to himself as he shoved open the door and walked out like a normal person. There weren't any tricks to pull on his way out (though there were wires to almost trip over), and his way home consisted of more thrilling walking. At least the evening air was cool and vending machines with coke populated the streets like car salesmen at a dealership.
Blue Jay had learned one thing from this experience (besides don't go into old buildings while you're alone and squishy). Or rather, remembered something he'd forgotten. Being an unpowered sucked.
