The smell of salt filled her nostrils. The docks were mostly quiet save for the distant cry of gulls and the rumblings of a few boat engines. The hooded figure watched as two armed men fidgeted restlessly. They were guarding a warehouse full of expensive stolen goods and she needed a little extra cash. Her eyes darted around, looking for an entry point. Seeing an open panel above the locked door she smirked, her body visibly disappearing. Quietly she walked over between the guards and hoisted herself through the panel. A soft thump was the only sound the guards heard as she landed. They glanced around. Seeing no one they brushed it off as another ware house.
She stealthily walked around, making sure she was alone. Once the area was secured she reached for a nearby crate. Inside was various expensive jewelry. Jackpot. Sliding a bag off her shoulder, she quickly took her favorite pieces. Once happy she searched through the other crates. Had to be thorough after all. Never know what these thieves could be hiding. Suddenly she heard a noise from the men outside and froze, listening in.

Titan didn't have good past experiences with the docks. He was still aching from the fight with that Gilgamesh guy. He was sure stronger than he looked, but that was the case with most supers, wasn't it? If he was lucky, he wouldn't run into more supers tonight, but he wasn't often lucky. All he could do at the moment was cross his fingers and hope for the best, but given what he was planning tonight, there was a fairly slim chance of another super, barring perhaps a Bulwark, from getting involved. After knocking some heads, Titan's attention was brought towards a warehouse apparently full of stolen goods. Word was that it had some pretty lax security, which would be no problem for Titan.
Finally arriving at the designated location of the warehouse, he saw two armed men. The armed men in turn saw the 10 foot tall giant who had wandered onto the scene and opened fire in a panic. The air was filled with deafening gunfire until the only sound left was the clicking of empty firearms. The men could only stare in terror as the unaffected giant simply growled and charged. In an instant, the two men's heads were smashed hard together, and they both slumped to the ground stunned. With them out of the way, Titan was free to investigate the warehouse.
Approaching the chained door, Titan simply ripped the lock off and slammed the doors open. The whole building was filled with crates. Suddenly, he noticed something in the corner of his eye...

Cursing at the sound of gunfire, Siren closed her bag of stolen goods. There was no time to close any of the crates without getting caught. Not to mention all the ones she never got to open. She pouted at the thought. All those pretty baubles stuck in their crates, forcibly returned to their owners and sold at highly outrageous prices. Meanwhile the few beauties she had would be sold at moderately outrageous prices. It broke her heart. She heard the jangle of the chain and activated her invisibility. Hopefully it was just a bunch of dumb cops and she could sneak out of here without hassle.
Hearing the doors burst open made her jerk her head towards them. Biting down on her tongue to keep another expletive from leaving, she stood very still. A giant, hulking mass of a man had entered the warehouse. Just her luck that another super was here. Seeing no substance on the floor to mark her position, she slunk towards the door. Siren's eyes never left the man's form. Tragically that meant she wasn't watching her feet. Her foot caught the edge of a crate lid she left on the ground. Squeaking in surprise she tumbled and landed on her butt. The suddenness of her impact killed her concentration on her abilities causing her to reappear in front of him.
Rubbing her now sore bottom, Siren stood up. She focused her gaze on him, eyes cold and serious. There was bound to be a fight now. No doubt about it. Unless… The hooded woman needed a distraction, anything to make him relax for a moment in order to get him to let down his guard.…

As he scanned the surrounding warehouse up and down, he could definitely hear something, but couldn't quite catch sight of where exactly the noise was coming from. Anytime he thought he managed to pinpoint the source, another noise would sound off in almost the complete opposite direction. The poor lighting of the dock (and the warehouse by extension) didn't make his job any easier, and Titan was considering just calling it a day and leaving an anonymous tip for the police to check this place out. The noises were probably from the rest of the dock rather than the warehouse; the acoustics of the whole area were weird like that.
Just when he turned around to leave, there was a high pitched noise followed by a thud. Titan turned around startled, and in front of him was the small form of someone wearing all black, their face obscured by the hood. What could be deduced was that this particular person was definitely a woman, which Titan could tell even in the darkness. Wondering what course of action he would need to take, Titan simply stared at the woman, wondering if she was a super or not. He would wait for her to make the first move, to make sure he didn't make presumptions and do something stupid.

Siren looked back at the beast of a man in front of her. His face was hidden and with the darkness of the docks she couldn't tell what most of his features were. All she could tell was that he was male and he was ginormous. Like seriously this dude could probably lift an elephant. The moment's ticked by and still elephant man's stare didn't lessen. Her eyebrow twitched as her lips pulled to the left of her face in an unimpressed frown. "You know if you stare long enough my breast get bigger." She said dryly. Obviously this guy was a little out of his head. She looked around for a moment before grabbing her bag off the floor. Dusting the dirt off she slid it onto her shoulder. Her eyes returned to his form. Even with her strongest 'song' she wasn't sure how much damage he could shake off. No she had to find the best escape route.
Now she had to figure out what the best escape route was. The only door was behind the cretin in front of her. Even invisible she wasn't dumb enough to walk by him. Perhaps she could persuade him to just let her walk away with the goods. Or even convince him to share in the plunder. After all, she could get away with a lot more baubles with a guy like him. That might be the best choice.
"So tell me big boy, is there anyway you would be willing to help me clear the place out? Or are you a Bulwark dog?" She asked.

As Titan continued to stare, anticipating whatever this woman had in store, he was suddenly caught off guard by her statement. He almost physically recoiled from what she just said. His face was also getting a lot warmer. He had no intentions of coming across as some sort of leering pervert, as she was suggesting. No one had ever had that type of reaction before, so he had no idea how to respond besides a confused glance. However, Titan realized that she was probably trying to bring his guard down by making him uncomfortable, and that very nearly worked. Titan managed to internally compose himself and simply focus on the task at hand, trying to push her comment to the back of his mind. He noticed that she seemed to place a lot of importance in that bag of hers. Titan deduced that she must have stuffed some of the stolen goods into her bag. He eventually decided on allowing her to leave, but she was leaving empty-handed. Motioning to the door, Titan spoke.
"Go. Leave the bag"

Siren frowned at his suggestion. "And why should I do that? You would think stealing from thieves would nullify the negative connotations of the actions." She mused, walking slowly toward him. The woman could tell her original comment had nearly knocked him off his guard. It wasn't hard to deduce what another comment could do. When she was within arms' length, she reactivated her invisibility. Walking slowly around him she brushed her fingers against him at random moments. This and the echoiness of the warehouse enhancing her footsteps would make it difficult to pinpoint exactly where she was.
"I have a better idea," she whispered, "I take my insignificant number of jewels and you get to be the big hero that took down the smuggler's ring. What do you say?" She stopped moving, standing in front of him once more. She softened her breathing, preparing herself just in case he wanted a brawl. If he was going to fight then she would have the element of surprise on her side.

As she strolled towards him, clearly not willing to part with her precious stolen goods, Titan prepared himself for an attack. But instead, she suddenly disappeared, and Titan suddenly felt...hands on him. They brushed against him at random, almost as if she was...flirting. No, that couldn't be it. The room was suddenly getting warmer too. Or was it just him? Anytime he thought he had a bead on her, she would be somewhere else completely. All he could do was consider her proposal. Given the size of the bag, there couldn't have been too many valuable jewels inside. All the others were fine and accounted for, what was the problem with just taking a few? At least, that's what she was essentially arguing to Titan. Before he could even come to a decision, he heard the sound of incoming vehicles. Sounded like quite a lot. Three, maybe four. Damn. Must have been the rest of the jewel thieves. He took so long hanging around here that he didn't consider the idea that there would be a pick-up crew. Titan could feel a fight coming on.
They all parked outside, and out came men armed to the teeth with rifles. When they spotted the angry giant standing over two unconscious men, there was an order to fire. Titan's eyes widened when he realized that the woman was still in the crossfire. Instinctually, he luckily managed to grab the invisible woman and held her tightly, as he crouched to make sure she wasn't exposed to the gunfire. A hail of bullets followed the order, and Titan felt a torrent of stinging pain on his back, like a swarm of bees were assaulting him. But if momentary pain and discomfort was the cost of saving a life, he would pay it a million times.

Siren waited with baited breath for this man's answer. The next few moments went by in a blur. The sound of tires screeching. Barked orders. Large arms wrapping around her waist and pulling her close. Guns opening fire in mass quantity. The suddenness of his touch made her lose focus and reappear. Blinking confusedly, she looked up at her savior.
The gunfire slowly stopped as the men chattered in confusion. "Cover your ears." She told him, slipping from his arms. Siren walked between the gunmen and the giant. A few of the men laughed as some others leered and made comments. Rolling her eyes she took a shallow breath. And then a deeper one. Opening her mouth she let out an enormous shout. Their enemies covered their ears. Windows shattered. The noise began cutting all the men fifteen feet in front of her. The men just out of her reach growled and refocuses their guns on her. Jumping back behind her human shield she looked up at him as they open fired once more. "I can do another in a moment when my breath is back. Any ideas 'til then?"

Titan held the woman close until the sound of gunfire eventually stopped. Whether it was because they ran out of ammunition or just gave up, he didn't know. Before he could make his first move, the woman slipped out his now loosened grip and walked towards the armed criminals. While Titan would have pulled her back away from danger, her warning him to cover his ears alerted him to what she was planning. Though his hands were tightly over his ears, it didn't seem to do much when she let out a bloodcurdling shriek. Titan's entire body cringed and shook from the painful oscillations she let out, but the men in front her were far worse off. The ones closest took the worst of it, not only were their ears bleeding, but their entire bodies felt the force of the screech. They, collapsed, screaming impotently in pain. The ones outside of her range were better off, but still felt the unpleasant effects. Unfortunately, they were in good enough shape to once again fire at the pair once her round of screaming was finished.
As the woman ran behind Titan, he blocked shots with his left arm, the rounds bouncing off uselessly. Making sure to keep the woman safely tucked away, Titan looked around the warehouse, and came up with an idea once he saw the crates of jewelry. They came here to pick those up, didn't they? Looked like the needed a little help. Gripping one of the crates with one large hand, he swung his arm and sent it flying into a gathering of three men. The wooden crate cracked open on impact, not only sending men flying, but scattering jewelry like shrapnel. Three down, a few more to go.

Siren couldn't help but smile as her temporary ally willing shielded her. Perhaps she should get a living meat wall of her own? That was a thought for later when she wasn't being shot. Watching him throw the crate like a grenade was poetry. Pure, physical poetry. The jewelry shrapnel just made it that much better. However standing behind him wasn't conducive to fighting. Looking around she got an idea. Climbing the crates, Siren jumped on the giant's shoulders. From this angle she noticed some men coming from the right, a little too close for her liking. Covering his ears with her delicate hands, she let out another shriek. It knocked the foes creeping towards them off their feet. Knocked 'em unconscious as well but off their feet was more important. Letting go of his head she scanned around again. She knew there were more earlier. Where had they gone? Their sudden disappearance didn't bode well with her.
Climbing off his shoulders the woman couldn't shake off her sense of unease. "Keep your guard up big guy." She told him.

While Titan's eyes darted around the area, looking for the smarter hostiles that realized a frontal assault wasn't going to work, he also made sure to keep the woman safely behind him. Her ability was certainly powerful, but he doubted that she could take a bullet, let alone a whole firing squad's worth of them. Growling as he spotted a group of hostiles that came in from the left flank, he swatted them aside like ants with a single backhanded swipe, sending them flying into the air. They were coming from all sorts of directions, but Titan suddenly felt the impact of the woman jumping onto his shoulders. As she covered his ears and once again let out another glass-shattering scream. While she was thankfully considerate enough to shield his ears, her performing that move right next to his head wasn't a pleasant experience, and even after she was finished, he felt quite disorientated and a little bit queasy.
Despite the situation calming down to a certain extent, something spooked the woman, as she warned Titan to stay on guard. Looking in front of him, Titan didn't see any more hostiles, at least those that were still conscious. There was a series of clicks from behind Titan that made him dart around. Damn. They must have flanked the two. The situation went from bad to worse when Titan saw exactly where the clicks came from; hand grenades. As they sailed towards him and the woman, Titan batted them back towards those that threw it with one arm, which was followed by a string of panicked expletives from the ones that threw them. Not sure if that was enough to keep them safe, he quickly shrank down to normal size to grant himself more mobility, scooped up the woman in his arms, holding her close to his chest, and darted out of the warehouse before the grenades inevitably detonated, all in almost one swift movement. He prayed that he was quick enough...

The sheer power her companion showed awed Siren. Tossing grown men like that with ease was certainly useful. As was his calm demeanor about her mounting his shoulders without warning. Which was why she felt just the insy bit sorry about screaming next to his ear. Not even she enjoyed her screams. She used her hands to attempt to balance him the best she could. Not that her small frame helped much. She kept glancing around, making sure that no one else was coming.
She must have been too distracted with looking because she did not notice the grenades. At least not until her friend scooped her up. Siren could hear the colorful expletives their enemies yelled get quieter as they ran. Suddenly the grenades exploded and shot the warehouse from it's foundations. The force of the blast filled the air, as well as the hear. Siren could feel it warm her legs as the explosion pushed out. Siren clung to her larger companion tightly, unsure of whether or not they were being propelled forward by him or the explosion. Looking up at him she smiled flirtatiously. "Considering we just met, I hadn't expected you to hold me this way. And so close to your chest too." She teased.

While Titan and the woman were far enough from the blast radius, they still felt the force of the explosion. Even at his normal size, Titan was a large man, and he was able to cover the woman that he held in his arms with his whole body. After a while, Titan finally turned to see the result of the explosion, and was faced with a horrific scene. The entire warehouse felt the explosion, rocking most of the foundations and leaving it a wreck. What bothered Titan more, however, was the body count. Even if they were killed by their own weapons, Titan was ultimately responsible for their deaths. The only real solace he had was the fact that they were criminals out to kill him, but Titan still felt a deep pit in his stomach. Most of the jewels, barring those that weren't too close to the blast, were damaged, meaning that he essentially failed his goal of recovering those stolen goods. All in all, it wasn't a good day. Of course, there was still a silver lining, which a voice alerted him to.
Looking down, he saw the woman he was carrying looking back up at him and smiling. Even her statement didn't do much but give him a sense of relief in seeing she was safe. This was the first time he ever did get a clear look at her, and while most of her face was covered by a mask, he just realized that she had bright pink hair, which was a little interesting. He also noticed that he was holding her very close to his chest, as she pointed out. Titan only smiled underneath his mask and spoke once again.
"You okay?"

"I'm fine, thank you. While I appreciate the save I would like to be put down now." She said, amusement evident in her voice. The amusement would have to wait for now however. In the distance, sirens could be heard. They were getting louder by the second which mean the police were coming in hot. As supers this duo would bee blamed no matter what evidence proved otherwise. Always a kick in the pants when that happened.
"Looks like we need to make ourselves scarce big boy. The feds are coming and they are coming fast. Can you handle yourself?" Siren asked. She could see the flashing lights on the other side of the docks. They had minutes to get out. She could slip by them pretty easily but she was unsure of her friend here. He was kinda hard to miss. But she still had to thank him somehow. Getting an idea stood on her toes, since he had shrunk down a reasonable height. Pressing her lips to the cheek of the mask, she gave him a quick kiss.
"Thanks again. We should work together again sometime." With that last goodbye, Siren disappeared from view and proceeded make her way into the night. Her stolen goods slung over her shoulder.
