After being asked about her future plans twice in the past week, Kasey was beginning to feel the itch of anticipation. Sure, she had goals in mind, but a final decision? Not in the slightest. There were recommendations to follow on, but first she needed to be sure she wanted to enroll at ECU. She couldn't imagine otherwise, but having the day off also meant that she had time to look around as well as think, which was precisely what she decided to do.
After the obligatory tour, she was left to wander as she pleased. Midday was already as she made her way back towards the administrative buildings, and it seemed the gym was on en route.
Maybe it wouldn't hurt to take another look there while se was at it.

Greyson is in the gym, dressed in simple blue track pants and a loose white tank top. He's running the treadmill at a good pace, about 7.5 MPH as he holds a book up in one hand, reading as the other hand trails back and forth with the run. Facing the door, he notes when Kasey comes in, raising a quick glance over his book but otherwise not paying her too much mind for the moment.

Kasey stepped aside from the main door, noting the guy on the treadmill and the impressive focus as well as speed. He didn't seem to be faltering despite the distraction of whatever he was reading. Color her a bit impressed, but it was a nice show.
Rather than disturb him, however, she makes her way around the room, noting the various equipment the university had. She slows at the sight of the parallel bars, noting the bucket of chalk nearby with a thoughtful hum. Though not dressed for a workout, the shorts and tank top would work if she chose, and she had enough energy to burn like a five year old on a sugar high.
But the other man has her attention for a moment. Or rather, the book he's reading. She's curious about the title.

The Art of War by Sun Tzu. It looks fairly worn. Grey steals a second look at Kasey, which is quickly followed by a third as she wanders over to the chalk. She wasn't dressed for a workout, so first thought is that here was someone coming to work out that didn't know what they were doing. Grey sighs, figuring he'd direct her to the right place. " Planet Fitness is next block down around the corner." He says loud enough for her to hear, glancing at her before going back to his book.

A very interesting title. Obviously he wasn't new to this particular routine. The sound of the man's voice pulls her from her thoughts, and Kasey looks away from the book with a chuckle as she shakes her head.
"I'm not a pizza-at-the-gym type of girl, sorry." She sounds ridiculously cheerful as she steps away from the bars. It hurts to think about it.
"Besides, I'm not here for a workout. Yet." Her lips tug with a glimmer of amusement at his assumption. Cute.

He fully turns his head at her first comment, eyes raising as he seems equally amused that she understood his ribbing.
"Oh? Then why are you here?" He lowers the book, beginning to turn his upper torso towards her but continuing to face forwards with his hips so he doesn't trip.

Kasey folds her hands behind her back, enjoying that she has his attention about as much as she enjoys the banter, which is considerable.
"I guess you could call it a tour," she muses slyly. "Just with a more personal inspection."

"So, you're not a student then?" He puts the book down as he drops his speed about 3 MPH, allowing him a quick walking pace so he could turn more fully her direction and strafe along the machine.

"Nope." She remains as she is for now, noting how he slows his pace while they speak. "At least, not yet, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to look for things a bit more specific to what I'm looking for while I'm here. It doesn't seem too bad."

"I see." He smiles to himself in continued amusement.
"So what is it you're looking for?"

"Oh, a bit of this, a bit of that. A bit of the familiar," she nods to the bars, "and a bit of the new." Her gaze goes back to him with the last part, her smile almost challenging.

"Hn." He all but rolls his eyes at her cryptic response. He slows the treadmill to a stop, letting it push him to the edge before hopping off, wrapping a hand towel around his neck.
"So you're a gymnast?" large tone of skepticism.

"I am." The skepticism rolls off her like water on a duck's back, taking it as more of a challenge than anything.
"But you don't believe me."

"No, I don't. So by all means-" He gestures to the bar.

"Alright, sure." She stretches and turns her attention back to the bars, but doesn't go for them right away. Taking a few moments to stretch, she tests the height and adjusts the ramp to accommodate for her size before going for the chalk. She looks over at the young man after placing chalk at the end of the bars closest to her and brushing off the loose powder. Rather than say anything for now, she lets her focus return to the task at hand and takes a moment before launching herself from the ramp onto the bars.
She catches herself easily, movements fluid as she hoists her body upward, a pendulum in motion as her body goes back, forward, and back again until she swings herself up into a handstand. Holding her legs straight, she drops her body back downward, pulling it ahead so that, when her hands let go, she can catch herself further along the bars. For a glorious moment, it feels like flying.
Her hands let go again, allowing the gymnast to somersault in the air and catch herself again, swinging into another handstand to keep her momentum going. She holds the post a moment, looking directly at him before walking with her arms along the rails, turning, and dismounting them with a round off to the side.
"And the verdict?" she asks with a tilt of her head as she turns back to him, smile still in place.
