Siren looked back over at Sandu as he gave his advice. She rested her arm against her chest as the neck rubbing slowly stopped. Just tell him huh? If only it was that easy. There were quite a few barriers between them. Age not withstanding. There was also the fact that he was a Bulwark. And she.... Well despite all the good things she did she was still just a thief.
"It's hard to tell him when he is a Bulwark and I'm.... Well theres some things I've done that I know he wouldn't condone. I can't say I won't do it again and if I ever did I would most definitely be lying."
Her arm fell to her side, her eyes sliding over to Sanduleak. He was a good guy, despite all the evil he had committed. Too bad people didn't see it that way. They probably never would. Her attention was drawn from her musings when he asked of she meant her words. Her melancholy look was replaces by a bright and sincere smile. Gently grabbing his chin she brought his face close to hers. Her eyes bore into where she believed his to be, her nose centimeters away from his mask.
"Your bird would be foolish to not give you a chance. I can tell you care deeply for her and her feelings. Fix whatever has come between you and tell her how you feel."
She released him and took a step away, giving him room.

Sanduleak watched her stance turn to one of clear discomfort and nervousness. This was one he recognized from personal experience and he had to quickly interrupt her before she had stupid wrong thoughts.
"You still got a chance to change, you're not a keeper or pandaemonium I can assume, and I know you wouldn't fall for a dumb bulwark cause you're smart...but you're nice too and maybe he'll accept ya, if he's not dumb like I assume, if ya try to be, uh gooder and uh what do I have s-s-something on my faceEep-"
The young super had been bit distracted by his rambling attempt at giving advice and confidence that he didn't notice the super suddenly close the distance and get a hold of his mask's 'chin'...oh dear sweet holy flipping, she's very close and saying you got a shot...freaking believe her...AND BREATHE MORON! Sanduleaks helmet became a bright red now that he was actually thinking and paying attention and holy crap she really had cute smile and eyes and again breathe breathe...taking a few breaths the pandemonium super gulped as he glanced away barely able to stand.
"Okay in return I gotta say, he'll be freaking idiotic to not give you a shot...also real quick to get off my chest and know, if I wasn't in this potential thing and you weren't with that thing that is hopefully with a smart guy who really freaking deserves ya, I would so freaking take a shot with this if there a remote chance of it occurring...but uh stuff and things so I wish ya luck with your guy...again just ya know talk with him bout it...ya never know, someone like you honestly deserves a chance."
He once again moved the lower half of his mask to show the appreciative smile with bright red cheeks before it re closing it. It was really stupid move but she felt like the type he could trust...or this was some kind of puppy dog affection that would crush. Bad thoughts just smile, you need it this idiot.

Sanduleak's attempt to comfort her was charming. As was his reaction to her actions. All the colors his helmet glowed in resonance with his cheeks. It almost made her wonder if it would show images of his thoughts would show on his helmet. His heart was in the right place. And who knows, perhaps he was right. Only way to know was try. However…
"You should take your own words Sanduleak. Until you speak with this bird of yours you will never know their answer. And wouldn't it be worse? To think of what could have been rather than taking a leap of faith and asking?"
The next words out of Sanduleak's mouth left her speechless. The faint blush that had been on her face for awhile was glowing with nearly the same ferocity that his helmet was. Her eyes widened as her tongue searched for words. Flirting with others she could do easily. Being flirted with she could handle blindfolded. Hearing brutal emotional honesty? That was still something she had issues with. Seeing him reveal his smile once again just made it worse. Unsure of what to do she stepped forward again. Having to raise herself onto her toes slightly, she kissed his forehead.
"Thank you Sanduleak. Your vote of confidence helps. A lot."

"I uh wish it were simple but she uh won't really listen to me, or at least respond to me, and it's very hard and stupid and complicated...If she would listen I would talk but she just seemed disappointed in me the entire time"
Sanduleak quickly gave the reason for his own issues, Canary had listened to what he kinda said but she didn't seem to care. He still didn't understand what was wrong but maybe he should try again. Siren seemed to know what she was talking, she was in a similar situation and seemed to only need a push like he did. Maybe one of theirs was more complicated then who knew? These were kind of secrets comparable to a secret identity, well his was at least. And now he was wondering if he had said something wrong as he caught hints of pink that quickly became brighter. She couldn't be blushing...and she sure as hell was not blushing because of him...right? And now she was once again right in front of him and-He swore fireworks were going off in his head at the moment and would not be surprised if either a 404 error screen or <3 appeared in front of his mask. Neither happened though as instead the lower half of his mask just disappeared to show a wide genuine and extremely dopey smile.
"Uh um uh it's no prob Siren...I'm just uh thankful as well, knowin' uh someone like you thinks someone like me's got a shot is very encouraging...yeah...I don't have something on my mask right?"

Siren listened to Sandu's plight. Truly it seemed that his bird was truly bothered by something. Disappointed in him? What could he have done that could disappoint this girl to the extent he spoke of? She had given what advice she could with the knowledge she had. Hopefully he could fix what he could. And if Siren met him again and he wished to tell her more she would help him. Until then he was on his own.
His reaction to her little kiss was priceless. The dopey smile warmed her heart. Then his tongue stumbled over words and his question wormed into her ears. She couldn't help herself. She laughed. She could feel it rumbling from deep in her chest. It wasn't malicious and she prayed he did not take it that way. When her laughter did down, her cheeks were flushed and there was a gleeful look in her eyes.
"Forgive me. Your innocent smile combined with the uncertainty in your voice just tickled me. If you show this cuteness to any woman you may well have them eating out of your hands. No there is nothing on your face. Your mask has not given away your thoughts or feelings this time."

Sanduleak had stood there, silent in contemplation and attempting to gather his scattered thought as if they were particles of light. Some how this night of consideration became one of meeting an extremely pleasant super who was an angel. And he got a kiss...from an angel holy crap how the hell? what the hell? It was impossible to hold back the smile on his face and he glanced at her when he heard her laughter, years of being the fool had allowed him to tell the minute differences between insulting and genuine laughter. And it was with that skill that he was able to feel laughter bubble up from himself, a hand going to rest atop mask as he laughed into the air. For once not breaking out into a coughing fit. If someone had just heard the pair, they would've sounded like a pair of old friends instead of the destructive super personas they had constructed.
"It's...it's alright. Listen I don't know if the thing with my bir- nah with her will go anywhere, hell long as we just become friends again I'll be able to leap in joy. She's special but I think, I don't know if she'll be that one...but anyways thank you, a lot, you've saved a me a few times tonight angel, gonna be a while before your ray of light can uh repay ya."
Sanduleak's gaze quickly shot around the area, before he took both a breath in and a step toward his new friend and quickly wrapped both arms around her.
"Seriously thanks, past few times I've uh met ya, you've made my shittiest moments into great ones..."
Feeling her brush against his chin though did make a new blush erupt as he realized that he was hugging someone who could potentially throw him into a wall, was considering dating another super that could crush him, and also he didn't have half his mask on that entire time and she might able to see more of his face and oh shit crap fuck fuck. With a careful leap back, that almost ended up with him falling onto his head, Sanduleak balanced himself with waving arms and materialized his full mask. It took a few moments before he wasn't at risk of falling and soon he coughed awkwardly into a hand.
"I'm uh sorry I uh hope that was alright and uh shit hope I didn't make things awkward..."

The laughter that bubbled up from the helmeted man reassured her that there were no hard feelings. Good, it would be a shame to waste this opportunity for friendship. A small part of her wished they had met as civvies instead of as supers. It was always easier to keep friends that way. As supers there was a lot of issues that could taint friendships. Heh, and mundies thought politics were only in government. Her companions words were rather mature for his apparent age. Hell it was mature for her own age. She didn't know if she would ever be happy with just friendship with Titan. Then again whatever came between Sanduleak and his bird must have been huge if friendship would be a relief for him. She waved off his words about saving him.
"I don't need repayment for us talking. Besides, you did most of the saving yourself. I'm just a sound board."
She was surprised by his sudden movement. Being pulled into a hug was unexpected yet strangely not unwelcomed. Smiling softly she returned the hug. The faintest tinge of red could be seen on her face. How many times was that now? She had lost count. Knowing full well that she could see more of his face just by looking up, the pinkette pointedly refused to look up. Identities were important and were only meant to be shared if one thought the other could be trusted. They had only met that night so she doubted he trusted her with something like that yet. A point only emphasized by his leap away. His balancing act made her momentarily prepare to catch him again. When he caught himself she relaxed. Perhaps she should carry around a medkit for their next encounter.
"Don't apologize. If I didn't want the hug I could have pushed you away."
Feeling a little warm she removed her hood. Half of her face was covered by the silver mask she wore so she was not afraid of him finding out anything. Sure the shockingly pink hair could lead him to her eventually but there were other girls with pink hair. She hadn't trademarked it after all. Her eyes glanced above them. The sky was shifting. The ever so minimal change from darkening to lightening. It would be awhile but dawn was on it's way. It was rather late when she met the informant after all.
