Siren walked down into the slums. The last time she was here, she had to play the damsel in distress. Not like it was hard for her to do, it's easier without her mask. It still irked her though. She was supposed to be a super, not some snivelling civvie who couldn't defend herself. Taking a deep breath, she cooled her anger. That happened long ago. Before the attack that ravage the city a little over a week and a half ago. She needed to remember why she was here. A 'friend' of hers had information on a potential job. It promised a lot of cash for specific information from a powerful company in Emerald City.
She walked into the building where she was meeting her informant. It only took a few moments for the idiot to get there and start slobbering over her. She hated this part of her job. Pinching the bridge of her nose, she barked at the man to just give her what she needed. The informant shrunk back for a moment and handed her a piece of paper before relaying what he knew. The client wanted not only schematics for their rival's newest product but their business plans for the rest of the fiscal year. Typical. Boring. It was when they mentioned a possibility that there was information on the dragon that piqued her interest. Sliding the paper into her bra she paid the informant off and left the building. She smiled up at the moonless sky. This next job was going to pay off, in more ways then one. She just needed a little more research before puling it off....

Sanduleak stared up at the sky with a sigh, at the very least the darkness might he was getting a pounding headache and he could kind of clear his head. So many thoughts were up there, where had that info come from? What should he do now? Where did she go? Who was she? Should he take that offer? Would they be okay? Would She approve? All these and more swirled through the super's head as he lied atop of the building. Letting a hand phase through his helmet and scratch the back of his head, he stood up with a pop in his back. This was too much to handle in one sitting, he had to clear his busy mind or his bloody head would explode. With a small flash he created a small circular platform, nothing too flashy, and took it as an elevator to go to street level. Ending up face to face with a certain wily informant who had an oh so stupid grin on his face. This was perfect.
"OI DUMBASS!"
Annoyance quickly drenched Sanduleak's voice as he yelled at the man causing him to shoot back a few feet and look over at the super, it was moments like these that he truly appreciated his reputation. First sweat, shaky knees then the guy bolted across the street like a madman.
"Well that was nice, short lived, but nice."
He allowed himself a brief chuckle that almost turned into a cough if he hadn't stopped himself, jesus that battle was gonna stay with him for a while in more ways than one.

Hearing someone shout, Siren quickly faded into the background. She looked around to see a familiar masked man landing on the street. It was the super she had caught in midair during the dragon fight. He seemed better, then again she couldn't tell through his helmet. Maintaining her invisibility she stealthily walked up behind him. She placed a hand on his back and whispered into his ear.
"It's not nice to scare away informants like that. I could have still needed him."
She stepped back and quietly repositioned herself to stand in front of him. He was still healing. Funny, so was she. However, it seemed that this stranger may be worse off than she was. She didn't want to fight but she was going to just let him get away with scaring away her lead. It didn't matter that she was done with him! This was purely on principle. After a few moments she spoke again, this time slowly reappearing in front of him.
"It's good to see your fall didn't injure you too badly."

Sanduleak turned his head watching him run off for a second, before he felt someone touch his back and heard a whisper. He spun around and took a few steps away from the sudden surprise. In that moment he regretted it as he almost fell backwards, feeling old wounds shift around. Alright who the fuck thought they could give him a minor internal attack and get away with it? Looking her over, he could at least tell she was in the battle but didn't remember what she did. Was she one of the ones yelling? Or maybe one of the ones who fucked it up. Shaking his head out of his thoughts, he shrugged in response to her whispered statement. It was a minor miracle the action hadn't hurt.
"What can I say, he had a creepy smile and looked like he needed to be put in his place, if I had to take a guess I wouldn't be surprised if you yourself had to have slapped him a few times."
In spite of his wit, he was slightly nervous, she had to be some kind of stealth or illusion user if she slipped by his eyes. Or maybe the injury was still lingering, damn space dragon-Huh appears someone caught his little teleportation act. Tilting his head with a slight unintentional glare that was impossible to see through the mask, he couldn't help being slightly annoyed at remembering the incident. Least someone caught him...couldn't bloody remember who but it was some girl, not Limen or Canary...sure as hell wasn't Azoth or Aurora though he did owe the former still.
"Nah it wasn't the fall, it was half my body deciding to move a fraction and fuck me up internally, guess you could say I'm blessed though had a guardian angel save me...heh that isn't the first time and hopefully won't be the last time."
In spite of his annoyance, he couldn't help but smile and relax slightly as he remembered the moments he was saved, it's like she was still there for him, watching from above. One could always hope right?

Siren couldn't help but chuckle at Sanduleak's reaction. She loved seeing people jump at her stealth. It was the little things that could make life enjoyable. He had a point about the creeper informant though. He had always been handsy and had gotten thrown back by a scream a time or two. She supposed that was enough to let this person get away with scaring him. Besides, her actions with her stealth had frightened him a little. So it was punishment enough.
"You have a fair point. He has been thrown against the wall a time or two for overstepping. Would I be overstepping mine if I asked for your name?"
The hooded woman listened with mild interest as he tried to explain his fall. It was when he described the person who caught him, AKA her, as a guardian angel that her body started shaking with mirth. She didn't want to make him feel insulted but she was far from angelic. The very thought was hilarious! Unable to hold it back any more her laughter bubbled over her lips and rang through the air. It took a frew moments to compose herself. Shaking her head she looked at the strange man, her mouth twisted into a bright smile.
"Hate to break it to you sunshine but the girl who caught you is far from an angel, guardian or otherwise."

"Not really no, it's Sanduleak, might I do the same in return? Or are you gonna pop behind me and make my face have an intimate encounter with the walls next to me?"
Sanduleak had relaxed pretty much, besides the soreness in his chest causing him pain, as he saw she was at least a bit witty like him. Good these encounters became incredibly with some of the types he had met, it was like supers felt they weren't people sometimes. Well with the public opinion that process did make some sense- ugh stupid thoughts he had to get to work with that idea to help that oh and she's laughing but he didn't tell a joke...Oh apparently he had and he couldn't hold the grimace from the sudden clenching of his fist.
"Oi excuse me but I didn't bloody ask you for your opinion on her, she saved me life don't give much of a damn what else she's done."
Feeling insulted had just come up when he imagined her insulting the two angels who's identities he knew, ugh this damn temper of his stupid. With a flash, he willed a chair into existence that had a bit of a thicker back in case she decided to attempt that stealth trick. With a sigh he sat back in it, allowing himself to relax some.
"Apologies I kinda owe her my life so I'd personally if ya don't in fact insult if that's alright? If not then we might have a problem that will be solved the usual way my annoying reputation implies."
He was trying to be nice, for her, but god damn some people could make it so difficult sometimes...plus he had no clue if he could handle the lady in a fight, she didn't appear as damaged as he was.

"It's Hooded Siren and I have yet to see any reason to blast you into a wall. I'm sure your insides ache enough for a lifetime."
She relaxed her stance and smiled at Sanduleak. He seemed decent enough. And then he responded to the 'insults'. The pinkette's eyebrows shot up. Did he not see who had caught him? Well he did have half of his body shifted, maybe he blacked out. She stayed silent as he attempted to lecture her. She could tell this was him trying to be nice. But being protective over someone you didn't remember was stranger. She chuckled softly as a smirk crossed her features. She was going to mess with him, just a bit.
"And why shouldn't I insult her? We have known each other for years. You could say we're one and the same."
She watched as he summoned a chair to sit in. He could materilize things? Interesting. He might be an asset in the future. Perhaps it was a good thing she saved him.

"Well Hooded Siren, normally it's not a pleasure to make someone's acquaintances but you're an interesting case if I'm to be perfectly honest, you seem to not be stupid like others but on the other hand you're insulting someone who saved my life, so I apologize for being slight pissed and having mixed feelings."
Sanduleak rested in a head in his palm, it was moments like these he was kind of glad to have one of the laziest powers, meant he didn't have to be on guard at all times with supers and it appeared he could probably relax in her presence. At the very least she wasn't escaping his sight this time if he had anything to say about it. Though her second statement caught him off guard a bit. So they were close friends perhaps she could give him an identity.
"Well then I'd ver-..."
He paused mid sentence as his eyes caught the smirk and the latter half of her statement 'we're one and the same'...He had heard the person had used their voice as a power and were known to be attractive, if her name and appearance was anything to go by she met both those qualities. Oh shit. He was sitting in front of the person who saved him, and actually insulting her.
"...So real quick I'm a moron but somehow you're even dumber than I am. You say you're neither guardian nor angel, but you saved my life and immediately afterwards told me to just rest an not fight."
The hell was he doing, he was pandemonium he shouldn't be trying to prove this like argument to her or anything. He hated being really nice but the guilt would kill him quicker than this knowing his luck. With an awkward sigh and standing up once again, he performed a weak bow.
"Well anyways I appreciate you saving my life and offer ya a few favors in exchange for it at the very leas-oh shit."
The sudden motion had him bring a hand to his chest as he coughed and fell forward, fuck whatever this dragon did to him, it should not have lingered this fucking long. Oh he was about to eat shit again, lovely.

Siren waited as Sanduleak spoke. He seemed very polite for a super, especially one that she would assume to be a part of Pandamonium. Then again she had no team and she spent al good chunk of her time here. She returned her attention to Sanduleak as he cut off in the middle of his sentence. She waited patiently as he put the pieces together. When he finished and posed his question, she smiled again. This one was kinder than the the playful one she had been wearing moments earlier.
"Being seen as an angel might ruin my reputation. I only did what was needed."
She watched as he stood up and bowed to her. She had to admit, it certianly was an ego boost watching another super bow to her. Maybe she should save them more often. She could see that something was wrong when he finished his bow. His talk of favors all but went over her head as she stepped forward. She was able to catch him just before he hit the ground. Her teasing smile returned.
"I know I'm attractive but you need to stop falling for me. It's detrimental to your health."

Sanduleak took the moment to catch his breath, the pain subsided after a few moments and he allowed himself to rest against her for a bit. Take the breaks as they come though he caught what she said and unconsciously the hue of his mask went from dark black to a light red as he backed up a bit, jeez he had enough heart troubles as is. Attempting a weak chuckle, he rubbed the back of his head.
"S-sorry sorry, it's hard uh not to ya know. It's become a bit of a habit for me needing angels to save me if you can believe it, plus if you ask me it's healthy considering falling for you means I don't fall for the ground, and let me tell you she can be a cruel bitch."
His chuckle became more genuine though his damn mask still unknowingly betrayed his blush that he was hoping was still hidden behind his mask. He should've known lady luck was always going to screw him over.

Siren waited patiently as Sanduleak rested against her. The changing of his mask's hue surprused her. She didn't think that her little joke would have that much of an effect on anybody. Then again, she did do a similar effect to Titan. Her cheeks tinged red at that thought before she pushed it away. They were weird. That was all. Shifting her weight on her feet she listened to his apology. So he had multiple angels huh? That reminded her of a movie.
"Don't apologize. Some times we all could use an angel. Though I believe having multiple is what is draining all your luck Sanduleak."
Part of her wanted to tell Sanduleak that she could see his blush. However she decided in his condition that she would just keep it to herself. She definitely shared his sentiments on falling though. The ground hurt no matter what way you crash into it.
"So what brings you out here. Other than scaring off creepy informants?"

"Well currently I think you're only one who'd probably give me the time of day at the moment, so perhaps my luck will sort itself out then...hopefully."
Sanduleak let out a sigh as he stepped back into his chair, it had been an exhausting past few weeks and his injuries were not helping his recovery obviously. He once again allowed a hand to phase through his helmet, so he could scratch the back of his head. Why did he come out here again? Oh right kinda partially lived here that's a thing.
"My group hangs around here so I occasionally enjoy a walk when it's not full of idiots, apparently an occasional one that needs a spooking pops up."
He shrugged, the answer was simple but there was a bit left out bout injuries and personal reflection bout what the hell was wrong with being a super. Yeah he was gonna keep those bits to himself and just speak his offer.
"So anyways, glad I at least found ya, no one could give me a lotta info about you but I feel I should attempt something to pay ya back. Long as it don't involve hurting my friends I'm cool with pretty much whatever."

Walking over she put a gentle hand on Sandu's shoulder. Since when has she been so caring? It seemed hanging around Titan might be making her soft. Not good for when she had to deal with the slums. That would be a problem for later however.
"I'm sure the issues you and your angels have will work out. And it's no wonder that idiot ran from you. He's always said you Panda jerks scare the crap out of him."
She walked over and sat next to his chair. Her back leaned against the left arm as her head tilted toward the night sky. If her colleuge decided to look he could see something pink under the hood. Not to mention a nice view of her cleavage. Siren sighed as she contemplated the stars. Her mind was trying to figure how to make this infograb easier on herself. That is when his offer reached her ears. She leaned back farther, so she could look at the face of his mask.
"Actually if you can help me with a job I would appreciate it. I have to steal some schematices for an upcoming product from Horizons Incorporated. Along with that I've been told that this corp may also have some information on the dragon attack. So any help you could provide with that would be appreciated."

His helmet was almost back to original color before she decided to close the distance between them once again, causing the light hue to stick. Though at least her words comforting before he chuckled lightly.
"Yeah I bet you're right, just gotta give it time I hope. And course he's a flipping idiot, his infos got a fifty fifty of being even close to accurate, if you want high quality info and don't mind the favors, Azoth's the best in my opinion."
He didn't mean to brag about the little keeper, but if it wasn't for her there'd be more than just a few injuries on him and definitely more than a singular casualty. Freaking bastards tried to hide that to how dare th- aaaaaaand she's getting closer... He truly appreciated the night sky like she apparently did, but curiousity very overwhelming as he stole a glance, causing the whole helmet to go from pink to red. This couldn't possibly be an accident, she was evil and torturing him...fuck it was working. Thankfully her accepting of the offer did clear his head some as he rapidly nodded it.
"Y-y-yeah sure definitely no prob with that. Hiding people and wrecking the place, I'd be happy to do either or m-more. But hm...promise info on the dragon's takes priorities over the uh schematics."
It was a bit of a bold move making the counter offer after his own offer, especially since he had to gulp just to work up the courage to do so. But there were some things he had to stand by no matter what.
"If things go awry you can throw my ass under the bus without a second thought, I won't blame you and would in fact encourage you to do so."
The entire this agreement was being made, he had no freaking clue his helmet might as well have been a tomato.

"I'll look this Azoth up, thanks for the tip."
Siren smiled and looked back to the stars. His helmet was lighting up again. She wondered if he ever even noticed. Didn't his cheeks get warm? Hers usually did. Whatever, it was no skin off her back if he lit up like a Christmas light. In fact it was funny. When he asked her to make the dragon info a priority a serious look crossed her face.
"Sandu, the client could offer me enough money to set me for life and I would still choose the dragon info over the schematics. We cannot afford to be as unprepared as we were last time. I may be a thief but this is my city. I'll be damned if anyone else tried to destroy it."
Siren's words were solemn, almost as if she were making an oath. The solemness stayed until he mentioned throwing him under the bus. She looked back at him again, adjusting herself in her seat to become more comfortable.
"I will get both of us out of there. By the way.…"
She paused a moment as her trademark teasing smirk danced on her lips.
"You are a very adorkable person."
