This certainly gave Titan a feeling of deja vu. Patrolling the docks, looking for a certain hooded man. One that called himself Gilgamesh. He only the name because Siren had told him of her own encounter with him. Just another reason for him not to like a guy; he went after someone he cared about. Titan didn't know much about mythology or the like, but that name painted a good picture of who he was dealing with. It was a bit arrogant to name yourself after some kind of mythological super badass. Though someone called 'Titan' wasn't one to talk. To be fair, it was the media that decided to call him that, he just rolled with the punches. He was preparing for another brawl after their last one came to an abrupt end. Well, that was the original plan. When the dragon attacked, plans changed. Factions, even personal grudges, were minuscule compared to the city-destroying power of those monsters. Even Gilgamesh, despite his strong start, ended up in even worse shape than Titan by the end of the fight. At least that was what he heard. If he hadn't heard of the sightings, it was plausible that he could have been dead. Hopefully he wasn't, since Titan had something planned. The fact that such a powerful fighter could be reduced to that by just one dragon was why this alliance was necessary. United they stood, divided they fell. Titan didn't know exactly where he was, if he was even still around. The news of him being alive was reliable enough to take the chance anyway. And so Titan looked around the man's apparent stomping grounds. If he was lucky, he'd find Gilgamesh pummeling street thugs like he used to. If he was unlucky, it was a night wasted. The gains outweighed the losses. Yet no matter how long he searched, Titan couldn't find a single sign of the mystery man. Perhaps the rumors of his death were true. He hoped not, as much as he disliked the man. The dragons are coming. Gilgamesh

Eventually when Titan made it to the deepest parts of the Dock's, the places where even police were hesitant to tread unless in force he'd see bodies sprawled and broken along the street and smashed into cars. Fully automatic rifles scattered about and bullet holes littered the walls of more than one building. Most of the people sprawled about seemed to be dead, heads smashed in. Necks snapped. One appears to have bled out after his eyes had been gouged out. None of the men were suffering from bullet wounds however.
It wouldn't be readily apparent at first but Gilgamesh was still there. Off in a side alleyway with his back pressed against a wall and his arms folded over his chest. Rumors had been true about gun runners it seemed. Colombians maybe. Though he heard rumors that some people on Malachite Island were getting into the weapons trade. Might be worth checking into. At least if it was going to move in here. At least automatic weapons were more interesting to fight against than knives. That had just become trivial...

Much like before, Titan's search for the mysterious Gilgamesh paid off, in much of the same way. His regular pace came to a sudden stop when he finally found what he was looking for. Not that he wanted to see it. As expected, it was a gruesome scene. One would have thought some sort of force of nature passed through this particular part of town, going just by the sheer number of dead men. Titan wish he could say that the sight shocked him, that he had never seen anything like this before, but that would just be a lie. Perhaps it'd be true if he saw this a few weeks before, but it paled in comparison to a horribly vivid memory.
With an unsettlingly calm demeanor, Titan strolled through what was essentially a sea of bodies and shell casings. Even from a first glance, one could tell not a single one was still alive. Gilgamesh was clearly not in a merciful mood today. Titan noted the rifles. He remembered his earlier investigation on the well-armed Dock gangs, an investigation that lead to a dead end. Even in the wake of the attack, it seemed whoever was arming them was still going at it. Titan would have investigated further, if he didn't have bigger concerns. He still suspected the Keepers, however, though that suspicion was far from confirmed.
Stepping over the corpse of a man who evidently died screaming, Titan saw the only man left standing. One wearing a very familiar hood. Titan came to a stop, staring at Gilgamesh. He would await the man's first move.

While Gilgamesh himself didn't appear to have been hit with the bullets his cloak was riddled with holes from the automatic weapons. As if there was any doubt that he had been the one to resolve the situation. He glanced over at the sound of footsteps only to see it was one of the Bulwark losers. Showing up to make the world a safer place after the danger had already passed. That seemed to be about par for the course when it came to the Bulwark.
He didn't have anything to say to the masked man. Why would he? They weren't friends and for his part he didn't know, or care about the guy's name. Whatever him or the media decided to call him. But if he wanted to stare at Gilgamesh then he was free to do that. Gilgamesh would just stare back, almost silently daring him to do something about it.

The guy didn't seem to recognize him. Figured, probably too busy almost dying to remember a face (or rather, a mask) that he had only seen once, in the dark of night. Thankfully, Gilgamesh didn't seem to be in the mood for starting another fight so soon on the heels of a previous one. Good, that made things easier. Instead, he didn't even say a word, maintaining his silence. For a while, it was like two statues were suddenly place in an alleyway full of dead bodies. Well, if he wasn't going to move things along, Titan needed to take things into his own hands. He wasn't much of a talker, but neither was Gilgamesh it seemed. Glancing back at the pile of bodies, Titan turned back to Gilgamesh.
"Had your fun?"

He had no problem staring down the giant man, they'd already thrown down and he knew that he was stronger than the Bulwark. Though that wasn't saying much. He'd still yet to meet one of them that was a challenge. Pandaemonium seemed to have the strongest supers. Though he'd seen a few that had more mysterious allegiances that were worth keeping an eye on. It was almost enough to make him think he had chosen poorly, though thankfully Pandaemonium offered plenty of chances to get into conflict with your allies. Probably the most appealing thing about it.
"Got a problem with that?"

Looks like Gilgamesh was more than satisfied with his body count. Going by what he had heard about him prior to the attack, he was the type of guy that was always itching for an opportunity for a fight against any supers. Pandaemonium or Bulwark, it didn't seem to matter to him. He tended to look down on supers, at least according to Siren's account of their meeting, which was probably a motivating factor for his eagerness. But something was off about the man standing in front of him. Something must have happened during the attack that changed him in a way. Whatever, it didn't matter, Titan just needed to get this business done and go his own way.

He pressed his lips together into a thin line. Titan's answer left a lot to be desired. It sounded hollow, lacking in any real conviction. He was willing to turn a blind eye to this because what? He wanted something? His help with Dragon's probably from the sounds of it. Not that he could blame him, he probably needed all the help he could get. But if he was going to turn a blind eye to something that had triggered him into charging at him blindly before. And he doubted it was maturity and seeing that Gilgamesh's methods were correct.
Not with an answer that started with 'not at the moment'. He'd click his tongue when Titan finished speaking, disappointed to say the least. The Bulwark just kept showing him how little there was to respect about them, without their convictions then there were literally nothing but group of dicks who thought they were better than everyone else. A bunch of busy bodies.
"Well..."
He let the word hang in the air before whipping forward and going low. His right leg sweeping out to kick out the giant's legs from under him. Should the blow land Titan would find that not only was Gilgamesh faster than he had been before. But also much stronger than the last time they'd fought. He'd been busy since they last met. And even since the Dragon attack, he never stopped pushing himself.

He looked as if he was going to consider accepting the offer. Then it happened. What Titan spent the entire meeting expecting finally came. He was going to take that as his refusal. In a way, Titan was relieved. Gilgamesh was a thug, a particularly effective thug, but a thug nonetheless. How else would you describe a man who beat others to prove his own strength? His actions made it clear that despite all the power he had, he was not much different from just another brute on the docks, the same kind of men he so enjoyed killing. So why did he consider having Gilgamesh join in the first place? Well, desperate times called for desperate measures, but looks like that wouldn't suffice.
Gilgamesh's kick was swift, but Titan was at his regular size. While he wasn't as strong in this form, he had one advantage; he was faster. Before, he was too bulky to properly dodge the kick, but now his body was able to keep up with his fighter's reflexes, allowing him to deftly evade the unbalancing strike. Titan kept his his hands open and crouched low, awaiting Gilgamesh's next move.
"That a no?"

"You lack conviction."
That was all there was to say. If he was willing to turn a blind eye on his beliefs, desperation or no it would only be a matter of time until he turned on him. He couldn't respect that, it wreaked of cowardice. Why he even considered the possibility that he would be proven wrong by the ones that locked themselves away in their little tower was beyond him. Sometimes his idealism still got the best of him.
The next move flowed instantly as he pulled back his body, lifting upwards from his prone position so that his feet would whip upward in an attempt at clipping right under Titan's jaw as he went into a hand stand. Muay Thai wasn't the only style he was trained in and he thought it was time to show off some of his other skills.

Gilgamesh's words confounded Titan. That was his reason for his refusal? On principle? This man's morals were...certainly out of sync with his own. Titan felt he wouldn't be able to completely understand his thought process even if he tried. Maybe it was better if he didn't. Some things were best left unexplored. There wasn't much time to dwell on that anyway, as Gilgamesh followed his previous strike with another. He sprung up, slamming his feet straight onto Titan's jaw. He was strong, and the blow certainly hurt. It hurt a lot, in fact. But Titan was no stranger to pain. He had worse done to him. And he was sure Gilgamesh had it worse than what Titan was going to do next. He could take it. Ignoring the crushing pain in his jaw, Titan kept his stance, waiting for Gilgamesh to reach the apex of his kick. Suddenly wrapping his arms around his opponent's mid-section, Titan leapt into the air and slammed Gilgamesh down onto his back. This wouldn't hurt him seriously, Titan knew it wouldn't.

His back slammed against the pavement with enough force to crack it. But the reflexive hardening of his body through Qi was quicker than Titan's attack. He was right when he believed it wouldn't be to bad on Gilgamesh's body. While Titan still had him gripped he'd force his body to bend upward to grab at Titan's head. Should he get a good solid grip Titan would find Gilgamesh's thumbs going right for his eyes. Intending to make him the second person to lose their eyes tonight.

Just as predicted, the move didn't do much. How could a man think himself a normal human being when he could do...this? He had heard the usual stories about men performing incredible feats through sheer physical conditioning, but this was unreal. The way he stretched upwards to reach Titan's head was even more unnatural. Not even supers could warp their spine like that. His surprise vanished the moment Gilgamesh's hands went for the eyes. Dammit. If his eyes were gone, he was as good as dead. Not a chance. Titan had to release his grip on Gilgamesh to grab the two hands grasping for eyes to tear out. This was not an ideal position, as Gilgamesh was now free. Letting go of the hands, Titan grew for the first time in this fight, up to a good 10 feet. Their arena was a narrow alley, so he didn't have space for wild swings. He made a downward strike with a fist, less to actually hit Gilgamesh and more force him back. He would use his other (equally large) arm to defend himself.

When titan released him his mobility was restored. And as he grew that meant that it would be harder to reach certain spots on his opponent. Though he wasn't ready to give up yet. Even if he was willing to abandon the eyes for now. He'd drop down from Titan's head, reaching to grab on to his guarding arm as the attacking one swung down to where Gilgamesh was. He'd lift a knee upward from his dangling position to try and slam it into Titan's ribs before dropping back to the ground itself. Last thing he planned to do was get swung around by Titan as he likely grew even larger. It's not like the Bulwark ever cared about property damage. And in the slums people from the good parts of town cared even less.
