"Good, then the universe can continue on its charted course." Her teeth flashed in the light as her smile widened enough to show them. "I suppose that means you'll leave if the flow goes elsewhere." It's not a question, despite the wording, and she chuckles again with another step forward. He was, admittedly, kind of cute when he got flustered.
As for the headache of ruling over Pandas? Someone else could have that gig. She'd support them, most likely, but until she knew who or what was going to take the reigns, Awenydd would promise nothing. But change she could get behind. Mosh Man had done his own thing, and it worked now that the city wasn't a giant crater in the ground like Seaside.
"No need to get defensive, Dragon Rider. I'm giving you plenty of credit, don't worry. I like your enthusiasm." Folding her arms over her chest, she took another step forward, the body no longer standing between them or beside her, though she didn't push much farther. Yet.

"You said it yourself. I don't really belong in Pandaemonium."
It was probably only a matter of time until he moved on. The intention had never been on this being a permanent thing. At least not in his mind, he didn't know about the others. But they didn't seem the type that was going to be particularly sorry to see him go when he did decide to bail.
His eyes flickered over her as she folded her arms over her chest, emphasizing her bosom. But also as she moved closer. His body tensed up ever so slightly, barely noticeable as he prepared to spring into action should the need arise. He already knew the layout of the area they were in. He was confident that he could slide over and stomp on her foot before bringing an elbow up to shatter her nose. Or that he could whip a leg around her and push her down to slam her head against the ground. He knew from experience he could shatter a skull without much trouble. He doubted she was tough enough to withstand that.

"I did." She nods, but stops momentarily to look him over again. She recalled what they had said while she did so, as well as how Gilgamesh described Mosh Man's actions and the reactions it evoked.
"But then, people aren't fond of someone who leads and follows that principle. I imagine it may be even more difficult to fit into a new Pandaemonium." It was something for her to consider, as well. She'd only recently returned to the super scene, and while riding the winds of change, it was good to know where you were headed rather than trust blind chance.
She was also aware of his gaze going over her; it was hardly the first time it had happened. Good to know he wasn't entirely made of stone and rage, though she'd seen some of that the last time she'd run into him.
"Though I don't think that would actually bother you." They were Pandaemonium - it didn't have to be said that they took their fate in their own hands. Each of them joined by choice, and lived by those choices, no matter how reckless they were.

"Mosh Man is free to do what he wants. That is the right of all free men and women."
They all had the opportunity to take their fate into their own hands. Most people squandered it, pissed it away and then blamed the powers that be for their lot in life. Surprised that those with the willpower, the conviction, and initiative to take their lives into their own hands didn't stop to lift up everyone else along the way. It was laziness, pure and simple. He wasn't in the business of telling other people how to live their lives, and he certainly wasn't in the business of being told how to live his.

"True." She took another step, cautious but not aggressive. It could be that he needed to get out of her way in order for her to get where she was going, though there was certainly more room in the slums for her to find another way. Still, she wasn't going to assume he'd let her slide a second time if he got aggravated.
"Well then, let me know when you plan to take him on and I'll be there." For moral support, clearly. They would see what would come of the choices that had been made.

He eyed her as she got closer, his fists clenching in warning that he was ready to strike. But he didn't quite move yet for it. That wasn't what this was about, tonight. Unless she made it about that, then deal or no deal it was on. Bu he'd make sure the word got out either way. He was certain Mosh Man was the type of person to seek him out if nothing else. Which would make things easier for sure.
"I'm sure you will hear the commotion. Either from me challenging him or him hearing about it and coming for me. Either way it won't be hard to miss I'm sure."
He let out a small smug grunt, he'd win of course. He wouldn't allow himself to lose. He'd beaten a Dragon. He could beat Mosh Man. Of that he was certain.

She stopped when she saw his fists clench, heard the leather of his gloves creak with the motion in warning that she was pushing a line that was clearly defined. Tonight was not a night to push further, not when he had actually approached her. She did make note of it, however, and how far apart they were when his instincts began to fight against rational conversation. She wondered what had to have happened to create a reaction, to keep yourself walled off from others. Clearly, it wasn't motivated by fear.
"I'm sure." She chuckled and shook her head. She raised a brow at him, the coy smile slipping into a more thoughtful expression.
"And how widely would you like your challenge to be heard?"

"I don't care. I challenge myself for me, not for others. But I'm not dumb. Word will get out. People will want to know what happened, the fallout if I win, the brutal way I'm ripped apart limb by limb if I lose."
She was right that it wasn't motivated by fear. He didn't so much as blink or change tone as he mentioned being literally ripped limb from limb. He had heard about the guy's power. Apparently the guy thought that it made him a big shot because of his brute power with it or whatever. But the way he heard it said was that he lacked any kind of finesse. He figured that was probably his weak point right there. Can't hit what you can't catch.

It was an impressive display, to be sure. To admit to one's own potential death, stare at it head on, an be able to speak of it so calmly in front of others. With so much death surrounding him, one had to wonder if he'd gone numb to the notion or if he had merely used it to cover up his own fears. Maybe it could be argue that he still was, but from what Awenydd saw, that wasn't the case. It gave her chills as he accepted the reality and its potentials. He knew, and she was willing to bet he was prepared either way, or would be.
"Rumor has it you tend to do that." Then again, many supers had faced a dragon in this city, and some had been severely injured, Gilgamesh among them. It wasn't so hard to believe, considering.
"Then again, rumors say a lot of things."

"Win?"
Yeah, he won a lot. He put himself against whatever odds he could muster up to challenge himself. He didn't always win, but he always found something to take away from it. You could learn more from defeat than you could victory if you were willing to learn. He did his best to do that, admittedly it was hard sometimes. Especially now that he was alone in keeping himself vigilant to the lessons presented to him by life. But that too was just one more thing to improve on.
"Like?"

She couldn't help it. The response was so straight-faced, so like what she'd heard about him, that it just made sense for him to assume she was talking about him winning. Again. The sound started out quick and bright, immediately muffled when she placed her hand over her mouth and her shoulders trembled. Laughter in this place could draw just as much unwanted attention as poor timing or a careless mistake.
"I was thinking more of where your focus is said to be." The moment of silenced laughter passes as she regards him with a more careful expression, gauging his reactions to her words.
"Rumor had it a bloodthirsty man wearing a hood and honed fighting skills was in Emerald City a while back. The descriptions didn't always match, but that remained the same." It was getting personal now, and specific. She didn't want to fight him, but she didn't know where his other lines of 'too much' lay yet. And yet, she wished to speak.

His expression immediately soured when she began to laugh at him. That is something that he could not and would not allow. So as she was getting her question out about the bloodthirsty hooded man his right leg whipped out seeking to slam into the side of her face. It wasn't one of his previously considered options, but it was a classic. And those never went out of style.
"And?"
Was this going to be a lecture? He hoped not or he was going to start getting really pissd off. Last thing he needed was to be lectured by this lost little sheep.

She knew he'd lash out at some point in the conversation; already, Gilgamesh was wound like a rubber band about to snap. She hadn't thought it would be so soon, but who was she to say after one meeting? Though she backed out of the way, he was the faster of the two. The blow landed across her neck and shoulders, sending her back several feet. she could feel her bones creak and give way beneath the force of the blow, a sharp crack setting her ears to ringing. She grit her teeth against the pain and let out a sharp his, laying her hand against the injured area as the Gilgamesh the city knew best finally came out to play. "Rumors only go so far," she snapped, pain seeping into her words and expression. She rolled over with the words, glaring at the man but refusing to stay in one place lest he decide to make this an all out fight.
"I'm sorry, should I have flattered you endlessly with the idea of winning?" She kept herself facing him at a greater distance now, though still enough to have a conversation. She lets out a sound of pain under her breath that sounded almost musical, shrugging off the injuries he'd given her as if they hadn't happened.
"It wasn't you."

"I don't care about flattery. But I won't abide you laughing at me."
She could like him or hate him. He didn't give a fuck about what she thought about him. But he would not be laughed at. He would demand a certain level of respect from her and any other Super that thought they could look down on him. Fucking typical of their type. Already healing from whatever damage he'd inflicted as she began to shrug off what should have been at least fractured bone. And to think they thought that they were just people, or that some thought they were no different from people like Gilgamesh. Someone with her abilities could never understand.
"Then why bring it the fuck up?"
His patience with this, and her were wearing thinner. Was this another round of the lost little sheep needs direction? Because he wasn't interested in picking up another stray. The one he had picked up was already causing headaches, and the one that had just shown up out of the blue was even worse. He was feeling crowded by all of these women that somehow kept attaching themselves to his life.

"Didn't anyone ever teach you to use words? There are better ways to deal with that." She scowled as she spoke. Of course she didn't like it. Obviously the young man was a very physical person in more ways than one. She rolled her shoulders back, sensing the disgust but not commenting on it. Tonight was not a night to be pushing too many buttons. It was still tempting, however. When he mentioned her question, she shrugged. "I figured you of all people would be interested in another fighter if they were in town." She shrugged, as much a motion to shake off the last of the pain and remind her muscles they were quite capable of going about their usual routine as it was an expression.
