This announcement is so big it needs bolded headings. Enjoy all the new things!
Setting Updates
School is back in session! Making threads in the high school and college will now make sense again.
There's a new faction! The Rein Initiative is a group of paramilitary supers working for the government (or has the government working for them depending on how you look at it) to bring Emerald City back under control and to stop a supervillain takeover. If you want a character of yours to be visited by government agents looking for recruits, then feel free to have that happen. Even Keepers and Pandaemonium members might be tempted to join. See the Factions thread for details.
Recent events have made the Emerald City Bulwark under threat of going dormant. Should this happen, the faction may be downgraded to a team, or dissolve entirely. A successful megascheme might save the Bulwark's standing. If they're unable to win one by October 1st, they may no longer exist as a faction.
System Updates
We're removing the cap on immunities. They can now be any level you want regardless of your power level. Want your level 15 character to have a level 8 immunity to reversion? Go for it! Because of this change, we're giving everyone a partial mulligan. This means that you can't change your current powers or immunities, but you can reallocate your points to your existing powers and immunities. A post will be made in the Power Change Alert thread if you decide to take advantage of this opportunity. Everyone has 2 weeks to use this mulligan, and using it will not count as your actual mulligan.
There has been a minor change to the Inventive unpowered trait. The Inventive character can still share their invention with the people on their side, but only one person may use that invention per round. Full details are in the Shop thread.
General Updates
I changed the top table because it was bothering me. There are no longer any tabs, so you can see everything all at once. The credits have been moved to the bottom of the forum.
I wanted to put in a word on schemes. We've been pushing so hard on getting 3v3s that I think we've encouraged people to join schemes for the wrong reasons. The main purpose of a scheme is to accomplish a goal, and therefore opposing is meant to stop that goal. A lot of people are joining for random reasons, or to basically accomplish the same thing, but better, and it might be taking a lot of the stakes out of what schemes were originally meant for: accomplishing goals. Keep that in mind when creating and joining schemes. As a related note, we have no intention of putting rules on why you can join schemes or what your schemes can be. We just wanted to restate our goals with the scheme system since we thought our own actions might have made them become something else. I also want to note that it's okay if schemes don't fill up. Don't feel obligated to join schemes just because they exist.
We're looking for feedback! See the General Feedback Thread for details.
