So this was not something Blue Jay had ever seen himself doing. It was the middle of the night, and he was out in the bushes, west of the Light Emerald City company power plant. Which, should all go as planned, he had the full intent to destroy. The power plant was large; it serviced the majority of the city (from what his research had yielded), but it would only take a couple swings of his sword to completely level the place. And, in doing so, he would cause what he hoped to be a city-wide blackout.
Blue Jay was not trying to cause a blackout because of any random destructive whim or because he had finally snapped like that one blogger on the internet predicted, but rather because sometime in the next week, a dragon was supposed to attack. Despite supers knowing the time of the last dragon’s attack to the day, civilians had assumed they would’ve been waking to that morning like any other. They were taken entirely unaware, and because of that a good many had died before there had appeared to even be a need to evacuate. If people could just leave the city before hand this time, maybe roads would be less stationarily congested, and less people would be crushed in their sleep.
It wasn’t like he could go to the press or the internet with the information of the dragon attack; no one would believe Blue Jay, and his civilian self would very likely be written off as a doomsayer. Another reason to evacuate was needed, and after some initial research, he’d landed on ‘causing a blackout’ as the least destructive and simplest to maintain until it was actually safe for people to return to the city. Doing so the day before they entered the threat of a dragon attack bought time for people to leave; the dragon attacking sooner meant less time spent in a blackout, and arriving later meant more people were likely to have evacuated. This was also a very good excuse to switch to renewable energy sources.
So he was destroying public property in the attempt to save lives. There were just a few issues with this plan. For one, destruction of public property had a tendency to sit poorly with people, and picking electricity to out wasn’t likely to go over well. It wasn’t like he was going to be particularly subtle about it either. He’d also heard rumors the owner of the plant had dealings with the Keepers, not the least of which because it was situated on Malachite Isle. It wouldn’t surprise him if that’s how they’d managed to maintain a near monopoly on electricity in the area. Because of this, his plan was to get in there, wreck the place, and hopefully get out before anyone tried to stop him.
He’d already found the location of the two night guards and the fellow who made sure nothing was going wrong with the electricity numbers (wasn't he going to have quite the night), the only three people on the premises this time of night. They were on the other side of the campus; he was purposefully going to be avoiding attacking near the building they resided in. The parking lot was empty, and he hadn’t spotted any teenagers lurking about where they shouldn’t be (besides him).
Blue Jay took a deep breath, drew his sword, and displaced forward into a more open area before the power station. One more had him near thirty feet up in the air, and, putting his weight into the swing, he shot a shock wave at the nearest of the large cooling towers. The wave of force ripped into the concrete like a bat through styrofoam, punching a hole through the entirety of the structure that reached from its top to digging deep into the roadway at its base. It continued onto the building beyond, collapsing its ceiling and wrecking the power-generating machinery within as the previous crumbled to the ground in a pile of obliterated rubble. A large cloud of dust as debris rose up into the air.
It was... going to be a little hard to miss, and Blue Jay still had several more to go before he could call this job complete.
---
SCHEME: Destroy this power station and cause as large a blackout as possible (for reasons).

Geata sighed from the cover of nearby overgrowth as Jay demolished the building. Leave it to the rogue Bulwark to go straight to property damage, even if he wasn't the rogue Bulwark anymore. Still, knowing what he knew of the bird's morals, he likely wasn't just smashing things for fun. There was probably a method to the madness, and Geata was inclined to figure out what it was.
Given the location of the power plant, it was almost definitely a Keeper asset. Despite his interest in joining the faction, Geata had little personal reason to try and stop Jay. His friends in the faction, all two of them, likely wouldn't be affected too terribly by the loss. Azoth had other interests, and Unhallow just didn't seem the sort to be involved in that kind of thing. Which meant that it was fair game.
"Hey!" He called out as he stepped out if the foliage, hand raised in a friendly wave. "What did that building ever do to you? Something tells me it didn't call you a mean name, so there's gotta be some other reason why you decided to attack something so helpless." He quickly opened a portal and stepped through, closing the distance.
"So, chief, what's the goal, and how can I help?"
SUPPORTING: because he hasn't caused rampant destruction yet, and that needs to change

Anonymous has once questions his own reason to why he does what he does, searching for the answer to his own existence to the world. Sometime, his method can be quite…eccentric, to said the least. However, he still has the best intention at heart, if he has one, to follow his instinct. That, and punishing criminal to the point of madness can always bring a smile on his featureless face.
Putting at aside, he was getting quite bored from the mundane life and thought to himself that he can go bother a certain faction in the Malachite Isle for some laugh. As soon as he step foot onto the island, he took notice a thick plume of smoke in the distance. Looks like someone also getting bored and decided to do some mayhem destruction. With a quick judging of the distant between him and the smoke, he could make a guess that it came from the direction of a power station on the island.
“Goodness gracious,” he said to himself as he twirled his cane around, “Wonder who did the Keeper pissed off this time?”
Filling with curiosity, Anonymous make his way toward the commotion as fast as he can. He really hated it when someone decided to throw a party in the Keeper’s territory and not invited him to join in. After about thirty minutes or so, he managed to get inside the building and saw a quite familiar faces in the parking lot.
“Well if it isn’t little Mockingbird,” Anonymous shouted out to Blue Jay, “This is quite surprising, seeing you destroying building on purpose. Did the Bulwark decided to throw their towel with the Pandaemonium’s method? Or are you finally decided to go rouge from your faction?”
As soon as he got a sight at the super with the sword, he managed to get a whip at his train of inner-thought. It was quite surprising to say the least: looks like poor little Jay decided to quit the Bulwark. However, it’s his reason of being here that quite alarming: shutting down the power station in order to have the civilians to evacuate because of a possible dragon attack? Figured someone this dumb would think this method would be enough for people to evacuate. If he thought this will make people evacuate the city, then he’s dumber than rumor said he is.
“You know, if you want to destroy building so badly, I do hear some decrepit abandon building somewhere that you can have fun with your sword swing. However, I’m afraid I can’t leave you alone in your merit and causing problem to people like this. If you want to evacuate the city so badly, a silly little black-out isn’t enough to scare them unless they all suffered from nyctophobia.”
Opposing: someone need to stop Blue Jay from making a mess like he always does, and it’s hilarious to mess with an ex-Bulwark

From the amount of debris rising from the nearby power plant, it was easy to tell that something had gone wrong. Even if superpowers were not involved in the incident, investigating the cause fell under her job description. Any efforts to prevent the citizens of Emerald City from the inconvenience of going without electricity for long should be greatly appreciated.
Zenith leapt from her position several blocks away, allowing the air to guide her to the proper location. Once she reached twenty or so feet above the building, she began to charge up more energy throughout her body to soften the impact. The ground cracked slightly as she landed somewhat in the middle between the three who arrived before her.
Immediately she took a second to search through her stored information, analyzing the faces of those presently at the scene. Objectively speaking, the one called Anonymous posed the largest threat, although this form of destruction did not match his previous behavior. Simply taking their powers into consideration raised the likelihood that one of the other two was responsible. . . although the apparent inconsistency caused Zenith to frown slightly. From what she could tell, one of the potential targets was supposed to be a hero. Her database must simply be outdated.
Whatever the case may be, the situation needed to be stopped before it became any worse. She spent the next second going over her standard operating procedure from last time, when she still worked with her mother. Back then, this would've been enough evidence to begin combat, but Zenith lacked such freedom to make that decision on her own. The necessary conditions to do so had yet to be cleared, especially considering there was a known telepath nearby. The possibility of Anonymous coercing the others into participating was too large to ignore, but he appeared to be against the others' recklessness. Maybe. She couldn't tell. Further clarification should clear away the remaining restrictions.
"Geata. Blue Jay." Zenith turned to face them as she straightened her tie and brushed some of the dust off her suit. Her tone was stiff and monotonous, as if she had encountered situations like this and used the same prerecorded message each time. "I must implore you to reconsider such actions, before further intervention is deemed necessary."
In the back of her mind, a countdown began measuring exactly how long they had to reply. Unless they provided a satisfactory answer in the remaining few seconds, Zenith would be authorized to use all of her faculties in order to prevent this act of chaos.
OPPOSING: Attempting to mitigate destruction as instructed by the Institute.

Blue Jay landed on the ground with a moderate oomph, the sword absorbing the majority of the decent. The cooling tower and attached electricity facility were in pretty good pieces, if he did say so himself, and a brief preliminary survey said the rest of the plant could be made likewise in approximately a minute or two, once he got into the rhythm of things. Assuming nothing went terribly wrong (for non-power station affiliated parties), of course.
A friendly shout and wave caught his attention, and Blue Jay stopped himself from hurrying off to the next one. He returned the wave. Expecting to run into - or be ran into by - opposition before anyone else, he was perfectly happy to see Geata out here in the middle of nowhere. The question of why Geata was out here was not an important one.
“Dragon’s coming, right? A blackout means evacuation, and evacuation means less people die. Also, the ghost of Mother Nature appeared in my room last night and asked me to enact revenge on the scourge of her surface and it seemed unwise to turn down a request like that.” He shot a glance to the distant end of campus before pointing likewise. “There’s some people still in that far building over there. If you could take care of getting them out of the way, that would be great. Or you could just help me wreck things.”
He was about to go when a second person arrived. Again Blue Jay paused, but just to shout over his shoulder, “Actually, it’s in the protocol for most businesses to evacuate in case of a blackout, and depending on certain facilities in the area civilians will be advised to-” He stopped himself. “Ah, whatever.” He’d looked into it, and while it wouldn’t be nearly the evacuation of something like a major gas leak or a hurricane, it was both much less likely to explode and within his capabilities to make. By the time he could explain it all, though, he probably could’ve been done with the whole thing, and this was assuming the Anonymous fellow and whoever else would even agree. Might as well just do the thing.
To the woman he gave a brief sideways glance. He could appreciate a warning, he guessed, but with a command like that, chances of reasoning with her (that would end in his favor) seemed even less likely. He waved dismissively. “We can chat in a couple minutes or something if you really want to.” With that he displaced, to appear the length of several city blocks deeper into the complex.

Geata thought it over. Was it the best plan? Probably not, in all honesty. Was it a potentially effective plan? That it was. Even if there were likely less destructive ways to go about getting people out of the way, the odds of them working were significantly slimmer than using force to get them out. Hopefully, this wouldn't cause anything too terribly bad, either, as far as casualties go, which is more than could be said if things didn't work successfully. Geata gave his seal of approval, in the form of an especially encouraging thumbs up.
Disregarding present company (although he was admittedly intrigued about how the lady knew who he was. The thought that he might be famous or infamous was a new concept to him), he turned to the direction gestured towards. "My move set makes me considerably better at moving things than breaking others," he said with a grin. "I'll get them out of the way so that you don't have to worry about them getting caught in the crossfire." With that, he started making his way to the building.

Anonymous shook his head while giving a shrug; such typical behavior from a moron who has no idea how to deal with the situation. Why does Blue Jay keep thinking that the only answer to his problem is destruction and property damage? He also noticed Geata was there as well, but Anonymous didn’t see the guy up until now. Before he could give them some talk, Blue Jay was already gone, along with Geata and his teleportation thing. He can still detect their brain pattern in the complex, so they couldn’t have gone far. He turned toward the lady who just arrived at the scene and gave Blue Jay a small warning lecture:
“Well, guess we got some rebellious punks that need some discipline from their foolishness. Best of luck, girly; we’re gonna need it.”
He twirled his sword cane around his neck before striking it straight onto the concrete pavement. He would admit, they do thought about the safety of the workers inside the place they're destroying. But they're quite foolish if this is the best idea they can come up with. He would wait for them to get those civilians out of the place; there's no point getting those unpowered involved in this little trifle.
“It’s always fun when they run; it make the chase a lot more interesting.”

“Understood, I look forward to our conversation” she stated, before giving him a slight bow. At the same time, Zenith was focused on revising her current information on Blue Jay. The present description seemed to . . . underestimate his delusional way of thinking. He was most certainly older than her, but understood even less about the processes involved in how the world worked. If behavior such as this was deemed normal around here, the argument for Rein intervention was significantly easier to believe. Not that she had an opinion either way.
In any case, Zenith did not lie about planning to talk with the self-proclaimed 'hero' once this crisis was averted. Comprehending the logic behind his misguided conduct could potentially help with understanding some of the other supers she may come across. Trying to devote any attention towards thinking about the snippets she already heard of his plan just made her head hurt. It would have to wait until later. The countdown reached its conclusion without either of the young men establishing a reason to stand down. In the future, she might be able to skip the waiting period entirely, at least with these two. Teleportation had the potential to cause a significant amount of damage in very little time. Providing any sort of warning would allow to disappear far beyond her range of motion, which would interfere with her work.
Zenith closed her eyes and calculated her next move. It appeared as though she was correct in assuming that Anonymous also intended to stop them. She wasn't entirely capable of making a value judgment about her apparent partner, especially since she already worked with significantly worse individuals.
“This is nothing more than a waste of time.”

Saying he wasn’t expecting those two morons would tried to annoyed him would be like saying the sun rise from west to east. They’re way too far that even with his concentration, he can barely make out what their thought was, only getting bit and pieces of the word. At the least, Geata removed more of the workers away from the fight, which is quite a big help since that mean there’s less mind to filtering out in order to get to the two of them. Blue Jay is, of course, continued being an idiot by wrecking more of the building with his power.
On the bright side, it seems that even the Bulwark has had enough of Blue Jay’s bullshit and decided to arrive at the scene in order to stop him. Anonymous hasn’t met this new guy yet, and it is a bit hard to get a reading from him seeing how he has a swarm of insect around him. Well, “the more the merrier” he always said, and Anonymous can always appreciate the help.
In order to get a clearer reading on Blue Jay and Geata, Anonymous walked deeper into the complex, narrowing the distance between him and them.
“Now, where were we?”

Zenith slowed to a stop as soon as the first portal appeared around her. In hindsight, she might have been able to speed past him before getting completely surrounded, but if it required moving anywhere near her maximum velocity then she would've been captured regardless. She let out a sigh, primarily to release the small amount of hot air in her lungs.
Of all the powers to go up against on her first mission, this had to be one of the worst. Zenith listened to Geata's words, but prioritized calculating her way out of here. The usual compulsion forcing her to answer the question did not apply to enemy combatants, but the specific one he chose was essentially harmless.
"Aya Sumiregawa" She directed a slight bow in his direction out of habit. While the response was technically correct, no one would gain any further information from a deeper investigation, so she had no reason to hide her identity. Most supers start off with a given name and decide their alias at another time, but for her it was the opposite. By that logic, providing the better answer he probably expected would not affect anything either, so she continued on. "Although the more accurate designation would be Zenith."

It took quite some time, but Anonymous finally managed to grab hold onto both Geata and Blue Jay’s minds. As soon as he does, a sudden whoosh running passed him in quite a speed. Judging from what thought he managed to catch as the figures passed by, he could tell it was the girl super from earlier. From what he can tell, she’s quite close to where Geata is right now; figured since that guy can just teleport with his portal anywhere he want. Good thing he got a hold on Geata’s brain pattern, otherwise he wouldn’t have heard their conversation.
“Leave it to Skeletor, even in a fight he’s still trying to be diplomatic about things.”
Now that the introduction is quite out of the way, Anonymous asset the situation in order to think of what he should do next. To help him figured it out better, he pulled out his silver coin and flipped it into the air. Let’s see what fate decided his action for the circumstances to be.

To say that Geata hadn't been expecting a real name would be an understatement. If it wasn't for the fact that Anonymous was likely listening in, he actually would've responded in kind. Fair is fair, after all. Next time they met, hopefully under better circumstances and without a faceless creep listening in, he'd return the gesture. Until then, though, she would just have to make due with his alias.
"Well, because proper introductions are important," he said cheerfully before returning her bow. "I am Geata, as you already know, and I am sorry about this turn of events. Still, it's better this than nothing, or something that'll put more lives in danger. Is there no way I can convince you to let Blue Jay work in piece?"
He doubted it, but it was always worth trying. Even if it didn't work out, it would give him an idea of how to react to Zenith in the future.
