Siren could feel panic crawling on her back as her subdual powers failed her. The shambling mounds continued moving towards the other supers as if she wasn't even there. Fear was lodged in her stomach like a stone. She just stood there, unsure of what to do. That is until the strange woman in the barely there unitard was able to toss a fire escape onto the jigglers. Seeing them squished beneath the metal structure snapped her back into reality. This was no time to be thrown into a panic induced trance. Steeling herself she nodded thanks towards the woman before making her way towards the incomplete. The groans and cries that emanated from the cobbled mass of limbs turned her stomach.
Taking a deep breath to calm her stomach, she tried to call upon her abilities again. Invisible pheromones began pouting from her body and into the air. They wrapped around the incomplete creatures and filled their mind. Every sense became clouded with the sneaky hormones. As she slowly exhaled, one thought filled her mind. 'It's alright. You don't have to fight it anymore, just sleep.' She focused this thought on these creatures and channeled into her powers. If it worked right, then these poor amalgamates would fall asleep where they stood, allowing the other supers to pick them off easier.

Wrath flipped off the mech as cats pulled it down. Much to her disappointment, the fire wasn't doing that much damage to these things. They didn't even scream much. Though whomever exploded into them was a genius. Angrily she pouted and moved away as the thralls charged. They stampeded over quite a few other supers including... Her eyes widened as she saw a wounded Pride get run over. The flames flared around her as a growl escaped her lips. Anger boiled over as a her angry scream rose above the noise.
"YOU STUPID PIECES OF CRAP! I'M GOING TO INCINERATE YOU ALL!"
Her flames rose high above her, lashing out at the nearby bloated thralls. They lifted her with them as she began her wicked assault. Flames jumped from one botanical nightmare to another as Wrath manipulated the fires. The earlier explosion did much to help unleash her fiery... well wrath. As the sparks and ash rose in the air, the petite red head neared her fellow sin.
"AND GODDAMMIT PRIDE! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING LETTING THESE MORONS TRAMPLE YOU?!? I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MR. FRICKEN' PERFECT! GET OFF YOUR ASS AND START ACTING LIKE IT!"
She would never admit she was actually worried for that conceited jerk. Not in a million years. So instead she burn it all down. Every punch and kick she landed on the spore spewing thralls spread her anger rapidly. It was not too long until the entire street was glowing with the strength of her rage. She stood in front of Pride and raised a wall of flame in front of him in order to block the thralls from him.
"Get up. Get up right now. You're letting a cat master be more perfect than you." She growled as she kept her eyes on the bloated ones.

Normally it was Limen’s job to get this far into someone’s personal boundaries. Driving in close circles to avoid the hordes of zombie plant people, she came inches too close to crashing into a building or yesterday’s businessman, even for her. Bike and light bridges or not, these numbers were a little hard to beat. But she found she neither care, nor was perturbed to the point of collision. This was great. The sounds of battle, the super friends by her side, the hordes of zombies trying to rip their brains out for dragon’s homemade stew; this was normally the part where she should probably be at least a little cautious for her life, find a rooftop and her sniper rifle or something, but she found she didn’t care. The bike rocketed into the air from another rooftop via one of Sanduleak’s ramps, and Limen shot a pinpoint arrow into the knee of one of those thralls with the claws and lean bodies, striking it out of the sky in mid-leap. She felt great; she was doing great. Lust had put it aptly. This was amazing.
“Anything to make you happy, Lust my dear.” Limen teased. She’d intended to hum it, but it came out in a loud laugh. She blamed the adrenaline. And the skeletal thrall that was much like a large spider directly to the left of a doorway one just opened in being too close for comfort, and the explosive arrow she shot to fix the problem.
“You’ve got some nice eyes there; don’t suppose you could do me a favor and let me know if you spot any good targets? Say the word and I’ll shoot it out of the sky.” To accentuate her point, she shot another explosive arrow at a nearby gas pipe, which also happened to be nearby one of the skelethralls. “Gotta make a show to draw the dragon out, but I imagine that won’t be hard for you, yeah?”

The result she expected never arrived. Zenith's performance so far was. . . disappointing, to say the least. This was not acceptable behavior for one who was supposedly the greatest in her category. Instead of annihilating her target, her own hand was left in pieces. Not wasting a moment, she retrieved a bandage from her bag and slowly wrapped up her injured hand. A wound this small would repair itself soon enough, but she didn't want to go around bleeding on everything.
Her power was supposed to prevent injuries like this from happening in the first place, but that enemy's body was surprisingly durable. The thought of comparing it to a brick wall crossed her mind, but that expression didn't work the same when referring to someone who can actually punch through walls. Zenith considered trying the same maneuver again at twice the speed, but she soon came to her senses. She needed to learn from her mistakes, after all.
There were plenty of other targets to go after. Holding a grudge against this specific one would only slow down her potential contribution. Zenith accelerated once more, escaping the area before the bloated one decided to strike her in revenge. In her haste she ran through several of the smaller thralls, making sure to hit them on the way out. Once she found a quiet corner to rest in, Zenith sat down and waited for her hand to heal.

As the volley from his depowering artillery came to an end, Dullahan surveyed the battlefield. Things seemed to be going... decently well. Chaotic enough that he was glad not to be there personally this time, but the enemy seemed to be on the run. His helicopters flew back and forth, avoiding the rising columns of spore clouds as they lowered themselves to get a better look.
The masses of thralls that hadn't quite transformed yet looked to be attempting to regroup some distance away from the main battle. It was still well within Dullahan's range. He brought another set of cannons to bear, firing artillery shells filled with nerve gas into the middle of the thrall group, where they hopefully wouldn't interfere too much with other supers' attacks.

Her efforts didn't seem to be slowing them down much, and she couldn't dissolve the machines that had already been taken over. Aurora big on her thumb and attempted to clear her mind and think again, but it was near impossible right now. It had nothing to do with the chaos, she had little trouble thinking during chaotic battles like this, it was everything else. Just thinking about anything relating to these creatures made her want to think about something else, and even when she forced herself her mind felt cloudy, she felt nauseous, and she felt horribly uncomfortable.
In her thoughts, as distracted as they were, she barely noticed the cloud of spores heading her way. By the time she did they were high enough and rising quickly enough that she couldn't just fly over them. The world seemed to slow down, and most of the world barely registered anymore. Even the exploding helicopter was more like a dull roar in her ear than a loud explosion, and she didn't even appear to notice any of the fire. All she could see was this rising cloud of horror and no way out. Her aurora clustered around her in an attempt to at least keep some of it at bay, and she closed her eyes and held her breath for as long as she could. Once she could no longer feel the displacement in her own particles from the spores, she opened them again hoping for the best.
What she saw was not the best. The spores were visibly sinking into her clothes. Her eye widened, her pupils dilated and her whole body started shaking. Aurora let out a high pitched shriek as she dissolved her coat into a mass of particles. It'd be difficult to see with her aurora around her, but both her coat and her shirt were dissolved. Under them were a thin bullet proof vest and a skin tight leotard that matched her skin tone so well the only thing giving it away was the way it bunched up in her elbows. The spores were seeping through that too, which caused her to quickly pull up the sleeves of her leotard. They were seeping through her skin too, and she couldn't just pull that off. Once again, she felt her mouth go dry and her heart rate speed up. At this point, she was visibly sweating, and her whole body was quivering. A large part of her wanted to get out of here again, but that was overruled by the part of her that wanted to murder this dragon as quickly as possible. She reformed her coat back around her and clenched her fists. She needed to find that dragon right now.
"Where the hell is it?"
Her voice was filled with an obvious combination of anger and panic. She no longer cared about keeping this place relatively in tact. If that beast was going to be a coward and hide behind its army, that just meant she had to try harder to flush it out. She started taking large chunks out of the buildings and the ground looking for any sign of something unusual. The thralls barely meant anything to her, and she was barely registering the other supers at this point. The only reason she wasn't pulling the ground out from under them was because her power wouldn't let her.

The volatile gas was quite effective against those half-transform thralls in his way, causing them to stay away from him and clearing the way. With this opening, Anonymous rushed through the hoard in order to make his way to where Azoth’s position was. She changed her position from the last time he got a hold on her thought, but it wasn’t hard to find her hiding behind some alley to catch her breath, breathing like she just ran a marathon.
“Well, hope I wasn’t interrupting,” Anonymous said to her, “but you wouldn’t happen to know where the dragon might be residing? I tried to find it but was unable to connect to its thought at all.”
She did try to negate all the spores that are floating around those fat zombies walking around the place. Guess that mean the spore is a bad thing to be breathing or even being near; guess he was lucky.
“I know you don’t really trust in what I said, but I have a feeling the dragon might be hiding underground somewhere since I couldn’t get its thought. Since your brain is filled with all kind of knowledge and such, you wouldn’t happen to have a map of sort for underground, did you?”
Before she could response to her, some more half-transforming thralls noticed the two of them when they walked pass the opening of the alleyway. Since the last effect work on these thing so well, he lifted his sword cane’s handle up to his face and started to focus his power through the cobra’s eyes, targeting to the incoming thralls.
“Go away, would you kindly? The girl and I are talking right now.”

They were still holding back. She could hear it in their minds, feel it in their emotions, and it was obvious in their actions. Seraphim covered her mouth with her arm before the bloated ones started pouring spores everywhere and moved to where they wouldn't be in a few seconds. That should spare her the worst of the spores at least. Her assault on the thralls on the buildings didn't seem to be doing much anyway. They moved too quickly and were far too coordinated making them difficult to hit. There was no need to keep that vantage point. Soon, spores filled the area, and the dragon even managed to kill one of the allied supers. From what Seraphim understood of the girl's power this wouldn't slow her down much, but given the nature of the girl's power she doubted she'd mind if Seraphim used her to make a point.
"One dead, one likely infected, several more possibly infected. This is what happens when you don't give it your all in fights against dragons. Don't focus on the dead, focus on the living, or you're simply leaving them to die or dooming them to the same fate."
She made sure to speak loudly through a nearby portal. She hoped they listened, but she wasn't counting on it at this point. At the very least, her own team was fighting effectively, and there were a few people that were crazy enough and willing to do what was necessary to win the fight. Before the helicopter hit the ground she covered her eyes and ducked behind a building to prevent herself from getting caught in any collateral damage from the stunt. It was dangerous, but she approved. There was enough warning that people could get out of the way even without being able to read his mind, and it eliminated a large number of thralls from the battle. That would make this considerably easier. With a nod, she started to mow down another line of thralls on her own. The sudden silencing of dozens of voices and the feelings emanating from them didn't mean much to her at this point. She'd felt worse.

Unhallow couldn't really tell if her test worked or not. They were still moving and stuff, but maybe they weren't as effective as they could be? Did Unhallow hit the right spots? Maybe they just smelled through their skin or something and that's how they moved around, Unhallow had no idea. They furrowed their brow. If that wasn't doing anything then what were they supposed to do? It was really hard to tell where to hit. At this point, they were glad they decided to stay a fair distance away from everything that was happening, even if they wondered if they'd be more effective close by. Would they be able to do more if they tried to tackle one of the thralls? And those thralls looked pretty strong, they'd probably be able to throw her off pretty quickly. But what about the spores?
Right, the spores! Those were still weird, but they still had a structure of some kind probably. They had no idea how it worked, but it shouldn't be that different from trying to break down flour right? And if they could hit whatever was generating them and maybe stiffen some limbs, that would be helpful right? They had no idea of going for the bodies would do anything, but hopefully at least getting some spores out of the air would stop anyone from breathing them in or something.

Sin Eater's spinal cord was the first part to repair itself. Once it was connected, her heart began beating again, her lungs filled with air. She awoke to darkness, the silence broken only by the moaning of the entrapped thralls on which she had attempted to use her power. The memories of going into the building and finding the immobilized thralls in there returned to her.
She got gingerly to her feet. Her spinal column hadn't yet fully healed, so she had to brace her head with both hands to keep everything properly aligned until it did. The echo of voices from a distant portal reached her. One dead already? Was that her? Well, it wasn't wrong, she supposed. She decided not to bother with correcting them. Instead, she began looking for a way out of the building. Some of the walls created by the thralls hadn't formed properly, so it would only be a matter of time before she could rejoin the fight.

Giza at first thought his ice tomb was going to at least stopping the thralls from getting close, but as soon as he let his guard down, the thralls begin their attack. From where he standing, he didn’t realize there were some thralls down below him until they all rupture the roof top and swarm around him. These thralls are all covered with those thick layers of crystal formation or something like armor, and they’re surrounding him, pinning him down toward a corner. The smell coming off these things are unbearable to say the least, and Giza has to stay as far away from them as he can in order to avoid contact. After all, he still doesn’t know how these things transmitted, but he really doesn’t want to find out.
“Get away from me you freak!” he shouted before trying to duck and cover through the swarm of these armored thralls. They were, however, proven to be quite too many of them that Giza couldn’t find an easy way to get through, not without making contact with them.
This was a terrible conundrum, seeing how he was trap between a literal rock and hard places, what with all of these guys around him. Should he wing it and just rush pass through them? They looks like they’re made out of rock and crystal, so even if he managed to get through them, it wouldn’t be a clean getaway.
Just as he was worry about what he should do, he heard Aurora’s scream coming ahead of him, through the swarm of these walking armors. Whatever made her scream like that isn’t something to be taking lightly; she’s in trouble, and he’s not there to help her. With that thought fueling his mind, he couldn’t think of anything else but to be by her side at this moment.
“Now you’ve gone and done it,” He said to them; his whole body started to let off an eerie blue glow, especially from his hand. The glow then started to migrated toward the hand as it started to glow brighter than before.
“GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY!!!!”
With a quick stretch of his hand, a swarm of playing card started to fly out from his glove. As soon as any of the cards made contact with anything solid before them, the suddenly erupted into a thick tree-like roots that stretched out all over their body. These roots weren’t meant to be stopping them from moving, but rather weakening the armored part of these thralls similar to how a plant root can crack concrete pavement. He needs to clear these things out quickly if he were to make it to Aurora’s position in time.

Geata found he couldn't tell which sound was originating from which portal. He considered spacing them out more next time, in order to solve that problem, but he didn't want sacrifice how well everyone could hear each other, either. It was a conundrum, but one he didn't have time to consider, as new information came through. He listened intently to everything said, then sighed. He was happy that people were making use of his idea, but he had hoped for and expected more in general, and perhaps even a little more feedback. It was fine, though, honestly. He was happy just to be helping, but he felt the need to respond to something in particular.
"At the very least, keeping a few alive wouldn't hurt, yeah? It'd give the healers a way to study the effects and find a way to reverse similar things in time for future occurrences." He wasn't saying it to be argumentative with this Seraphim character, but he thought it might be better to do so than to just murder absolutely everything. Although, speaking of murdering everything, a thought crossed his mind that caused him to smile a little. A portal opened in the gap and he squeezed through, emerging on top of a nearby building that provided him with a good vantage point. Near the giant mechanical minions that were exploding, Geata spotted his target. His grin growing, he used his portals to close the distance immediately.
"Your promise is all well and good," Geata said jokingly to Blue Jay, "but at least I'd be kicking the bucket due to a dragon, as opposed to, say, a one on one fight with a super. Why, someone who died like that who had the opportunity to would absolutely need to do something to prove that they aren't truly pathetic as that death would suggest. On an obviously unrelated note, I have a challenge in mind for you. I have recently acquired a sword of my own and, as such, have a need to field test it. As the only other sword user I know of, you get the wonderful potential role of being my competition. I propose this: whoever can take down the most of the ones climbing around the buildings, wins. Prize is yours to decide."
The second he finished, the internal contents of the creatures started to fall from multiple portals above their heads. "Five for me," Geata said cheerily, doing his best not to think about the deaths he just caused. With that, he gave a wave before dropping through a portal that opened beneath his feet.
Where he emerged was directly above one of the things. As he fell, he thrust the blade down to make use of the momentum. Once it stabbed into it, a portal would open inside it further down that would cause the sword to pierce the insides of another before passing through another portal, the process repeating until there was little more sword to stab with. Geata'd spin, using that to pull the sword free of the portals, before dropping through another portal and repeating the same process as many times as possible.

Ophiuchus hissed in mild irritation as his targets dodged his venom. Still, he was not giving up and he began searching for easier targets. However, Cat Man and his chopper-induced explosion, as well as someone else throwing a fiery temper tantrum, hindered the snake-man's progress a little bit. Ophiuchus kept his distance from the flames so he would not accidentally cook the three venomous serpents still coiled around his body. Luckily for him, it didn't take long for him to find an easier target. Sneaking up on one of the armored thralls, the snake hybrid commanded his three snakes to attack and the venomous serpents lunged towards their target and attempted to inject their venom.

For a brief moment, Rainfall stopped firing and squinted at the battlefield, trying to make out potential weak points amidst the chaos. The combined assault of Emerald City's supers had hit like a wrecking ball, blunt and crude but undeniably powerful. A massive detonation lit up the sky for a moment, while light and shadows and all manner of weaponry- and even some super crazy or invulnerable enough engage in hand-to-hand -danced through the horde, cutting and breaking and slaughtering as they went. All these strange lights were reflected in Rainfall's bright eyes, and in that moment, a certain grim satisfaction could be seen in her expression.
Her own attacks had contributed relatively little. The immobile thralls were exposed, but had proven too tough for other powers to fully destroy. However, the constant, blazing fire from her minigun had worked pretty well in routing the weaker troops. Perhaps she could do some more harm there. She turned, shouting to the pilot. "Bring us in and, further up! I need a good vantage on the main swarm!"
With that, she opened fire again, aiming as deep into the hordes of incomplete thralls as her gunfire could reach. If her powerful assault scared them as much as it had the first time, it'd drive them straight into the defending forces, to be ripped apart by whatever powers her fellow heroes and villains had in store.

"Tch" Hikaru could tell her last attack wasn't doing anything. The thing was already clawing its way out of the hole, not even slightly injured. This monster would take forever to kill. Sighing to herself, she decided to stick around and at least distract him for a while. Becoming the target of his aggression would save someone else the trouble, and it wasn't like she would actually die or anything.
So the other clones left the Hermit to deal with her mess and found something better to do. Like getting rid of those spores. Clearing the air should help the people that actually needed to breathe stay alive a little longer. Unfortunately, the stupid things fell under the list of things Arcanum couldn't just melt away, but other people were capable of dealing with that. Taking out the monsters spreading the virus would be enough for now.
This was a job for the Coins. The thirteen girls swarmed the nearest gas giant and pinned him to the side of a building. From there, they began to spread out and merge with each other until the guy was completely cut off from the rest of the world. Ideally, if this thing exploded when it died, no one else would be in the way of the blast. Once they were satisfied that zero spores would leak out, they liquefied the floor and impaled the thrall from the bottom up.
