An Unexpected Reaction [April Itoh/Open]

Chemistry, the study of the composition of matter, can be quite a complicated subject to learn. There’s so much vocabularies and memorization required to earn a passing grade on it. Learning by an instructor’s lecture is quite hard enough by itself; it is another story when it came to learn them alone. When combine it with biology, the whole subject got even more complicated with more things to memorize. Even though he’s planning to major in Literature, lately Edgar have taken quite an interested in the science field. After all, some journalist does require some knowledge in those fields if they’re hoping to write on the scientific column and research paper.
After he finally finished with all his classes for the day, Edgar make his way toward the science building to visit one of the instructor there. There are some questions that he needs an expert opinion on with his biochemistry note, and Professor Jefferson is quite professional in that field. Usually he only has to spend a minute walking to the office building, but some complication has changed his schedule a little bit. The science office got move into a different building as a result of someone breaking in the building during early September, so now it took him tem minutes to get there from his class.
Once he made it to the science department office, he lightly knocking on the front door of Professor Jefferson. He stood outside the door, waiting for any sign of response on the other side. After some moment of silence, he lightly knocked on the door again:
“Professor Jefferson?” he politely said and turned the door handles, “I hope I’m not bothering you at the moment.”
He opened the door enough to have a peek inside the room through the crack. There’s doesn’t seems to be anyone working in the lab right now; perhaps he just missed him? He checked his watch before entering the room, looking around. Since there’s isn’t much for him to do for the day, he can sit in the office and wait until the professor to return. In the meantime, he pulled out a text book on psychology and began to read it to get some study done for the day. He pulled out one of the chair in the office in order to make himself comfortable while waiting.
