Although the forecast had called for clear skies all night, the clouds had moved in prematurely, obscuring the moon and casting Malachite Isle into a deeper darkness. The inhabited parts of the island were still lit by streetlights and the house lights of those who were still up at this hour, but the abandoned amusement park remained unlit. Even if the electronics there still worked, sensible people avoided the area, so there was no one to benefit from it.
Marion Mayes was not a sensible person. If anything, the lack of lighting only made his trip here more exciting. He had already sliced his arm on the barbed wire fence while climbing in, but the injury did nothing to dissuade him. He had gotten his tetanus shots years ago, and he had made very frequent use of his immunity since then.
Presently, he was standing in front of a funhouse whose facade was sculpted in the form of an enormous clown's head, its laughing mouth serving as the building's door. In the obscured moonlight, the moss that had grown around the lips and teeth could easily be mistaken for blood. When Marion had suddenly come across it, the image had set his heart racing.
Yes, this was turning out to be a very worthwhile trip.
Next, Marion turned around and began to scale the enormous Ferris wheel. His muscles were burning by the time he reached the top, and he gladly perched himself on one of the higher passenger cars as he took a rest. As he caught his breath, he looked down below at the amusement park, picking his next destination. The hall of mirrors looked promising.
Even though he would be easily visible as a dark silhouette atop the Ferris wheel, Marion didn't bother looking for anyone who might see him. After all, who else could possibly have any legitimate reason to come here at this time of night?

Rogue had a perfectly legitimate reason for coming here at this time of night. Just a delivery job, they were informed the person they were meeting up with should be waiting for them in the abandoned amusement park on Malachite Island. A bit out of the way, Rogue cautiously traversed the isolated fair grounds looking for their contact. There was no description given beyond "young man", which annoyed the super greatly as that left room for lots of error. Then again, Rogue's employers probably assumed there was no need as they would be the only two people in the area.
Squinting due the distance, Rogue saw the distinct outline of a person atop the ferris wheel. Grumbling as the ridiculous location for a tradeoff, Rogue assumed this was newbie as they still found a thrill in their job, pretending they were secret agents or something. They would always hid in the worst places and act a lot more stoic than necessary. If Rogue was not so annoyed at this job in general, they probably would have laughed.
Shadow hopping and good muscle control made getting up the wheel relatively fast work. Rogue silently appeared behind the man studying the casual way he held himself before clearing their throat to announce their presence. Wanting to get out of the area and back to the mainland as soon as possible, Rogue didn't bother asking for the exchange code and instead unzip their black sweatshirt to pull out the simple, brown box, waiting for the man to do the same with the super's payment.

Ionica didn't have a legitimate reason for coming out in the dead of night to some abandoned amusement park on an island. She was just, part curious, and part believing that it was the perfect place for all manner of cretins to hang out and do naughty stuff. Like trying to smuggle all manner of illict things. Or planning to smuggle all manner of illict things. Also, she wanted to visit an amusement park. She'd never really been to one before, having been rather distracted before now with life, and there was never one around where she lived.
But, as she arrived, she saw an outline, two people stood on top of the ferris wheel. Certainly ensured privacy for their conversation, but must have been a hell of a thing to get up there. Clearly, whatever they were discussing was super secret and super villiany, because if it was good, why would they have even bothered coming all the way out here and then climbing up a ferris wheel. It's not like they had powers or something....or did they?
Not even a little more cautious due to her new thought pattern, she flew up the Ferris wheel, and was just suddenly there, between the two, hanging on via her magnetic abilities, and hoping nothing else came flying towards her with it's unpredictable nature. "Nice box. What's in it?" She asked, smiling to the two like it was not the top of a Ferris wheel in a really out of the way locat

Marion turned around and then stared dumbly at the offered package. He wasn't exactly on the straight-and-narrow, but there was a very wide gap from petty trespassing and vandalism to making unmarked package swaps with shady characters in the middle of the night. On top of that, the sudden appearance of the shadowy figure suggested either world-class skill at mundane sneaking... or some sort of superpower.
This kind of encounter was not within Marion's social repertoire. He was still trying to decide how to gracefully indicate a case of mistaken identity and excuse himself from the Ferris wheel when a much more obviously superpowered presence made itself known.
And with that, Marion was sandwiched in between two supers with a clear motive for hostility. He raised his hands in a placating gesture, backing toward the edge of the passenger car, as he addressed the much more scantily-clad of the two.
"Ah, I'm sure you hear this all the time, but this really isn't what it looks like." His grin was nervous, though it might easily be mistaken for a guilty one.

'Really he's going to play that card,' Rogue groaned internally, 'This is why I hate working with amateurs.'
Rogue had never encountered the scantily dressed super heroine before, but they weren't going to mess around with anyone who could fly. With absolutely no clue what was inside the package, the shadowy super wasn't too keen on the flashy interloper finding out. If push came to shove, Rogue could always fall back on plausible deniability. Not wanting to get caught, Rogue quickly came up with an ingenious strategy: jump.
They could leave the contact to deal with the other super, but Rogue felt bad for the red head, plus rescuing him might get them some credit with the young man's employers. So, Rogue grabbed his arm and pulled him over the side with them. While he couldn't dissolve into the shadows like Rogue, the super could break his fall. Creating tendrils from the shadows lacing the ferris wheel, Rogue caught and tossed the man in a jagged formation. Was it the most comfortable way to descend? No. But would he get seriously injured? Also a no.
Reaching the bottom, Rogue turned to him again, knowing they had a very limited window to make the exchange.
"Hand me the money and run," Rogue ordered, not letting go of the merchandise until they received the payment.

Ionica had a disarming smile as she looked at the two. Box-Girl seemed professional and stuff, but the other guy seemed pretty scared of her. Even giving her the old line. "You know, that line is so cliche'd that few people actually give me it. Hell, one guy actually came out and said 'this is exactly what it looks like' and then head me over the head with a pipe. So, no, I don't hear it all the time" she said. It was starting to be a nice, friendly chat between Ferris Wheel climbers, but then the professional woman took action and chucked him off the wheel, using some sort of buggery to get him down safely. They were both easy to track, being the only living things around, and the park being abandoned, so no generators around, they stood out like lightning fireflies. Very, big fireflies.
So, Ionica left the magnetic grip on the Ferris Wheel - hearing the crash of something down below as it never finished it's jourey to her - and again uterlized her Super-Speed to be at the scene of the two in less than moments. "You know, I would have given you the benifit of the doubt if you hadn't run away, but now, you get a Lightning bolt up your ass"

The sudden shove caught Marion by surprise, and then he was falling off the Ferris wheel. But it wasn't freefall - rather, it was more like falling out of a tree and hitting every branch along the way, something that Marion had plenty of experience with. The descent lasted just barely long enough for the abject terror of falling to be replaced by a sense of wonder at how awesome it was to travel this way, even if each impact did hurt like hell.
Unfortunately, the landing came all too soon. Marion's head broke his fall, and he scrambled to his feet just in time to see that the heroine had caught up. Faced with an impatient criminal dealer on one side and a 10,000 volt enema on the other, Marion decided on a third option.
"I think I'll just run!"
With that, he ran for the hall of mirrors with all the speed his legs could give him. He hoped that the two supers would be too wary of each other to take him down immediately.

'So that's how he's going play,' Rogue growled internally. Stuffing the package back into their hoodie, Rogue decided to take a page out of the man's book and make a break for it. However, not wanting to deal with whatever this hero had in store for them, Rogue called upon their powers for a momentary diversion. Throwing the darkness into the woman's face, Rogue temporarily blind her for a couple seconds.
Rogue used these precious few moments to start running. As they moved, every time they'd enter a shadow, Rogue dissolved themselves into it, delving into the darkness. Noticing a particular large building, Rogue slide into it, remaining incorporeal in the shadows and becoming less than human. Hopefully, if the superhero had some sort of tracking method this would at least dampen it.
Anxious, Rogue felt their faint heartbeat flutter from all the adrenaline. This is the first time they had ever had another super oppose them* and, boy, it was terrifying. All Rogue hoped was the the electric users didn't hold a grudge as she was not someone Rogue was keen on making into an enemy. clank! Rogue froze, it sounded like someone else was in the building.
*(OOC: In terms of a timeline, I'm placing this before the Redemption and Dogs Scheme)

Ionica watched them run, again, and shook her head. She wasn't in the mood for a chase. "Ohh, fine, keep your dam box" she exclaimed, flitting off from the area

Marion didn't bother to check over his shoulder to see if he was being followed. There wasn't anything he could do about it, in any case. Still, he was relieved to make it inside the house of mirrors. He figured that if they were going to stop him, it would've been before he got inside.
However, he certainly didn't feel safer in here. The roof had rotted just enough to let in some dim starlight, which allowed Marion to see that he was surrounded by distorted shadowy forms. Just the mirrors, right?
The house of mirrors was large enough that if Marion could find one of the back exits, maybe he'd be able to slip away unnoticed. That meant going deeper into the building to reach the other side. His heart pounding, he moved forward, trying his best to ignore the obscure shapes shifting around him.
