Name: Justin Richter
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Occupation: Student at Gardner High School
Face Claim: L from Death Note
Appearance: Short and slender for his age, less than 5 feet of pure skin and bones. Justin most often wears nondescript hand-me-downs that are a bit too large for him. He gives off a general air of sickliness, malnourishment, and sleep deprivation.
Skills:
Science - Along with math, this is his best subject at school. His performance on assignments and tests is pretty much flawless, and he often displays greater depth of knowledge than his own teachers.
Board games - Justin has always enjoyed crunching probabilities and game theory to determine the best possible move in competitive games. This skill also carries over into card games, where he also benefits from his impeccable poker face.
Model rocketry - On the rare occasions that he can scrape up the cash for some disposable engines, Justin has several model rocket bodies that he constantly tests and tweaks for better performance.
Personality:
The first word most of his schoolmates would use to describe Justin is "creepy." He lurks at the edge of any social gathering, always watching but never seeming to blink as much as a normal person should, never participating in the jokes and conversations, never drawing attention to himself. It's easy to forget for a few moments that he's even there, only to be startled as one realizes that he's still watching.
Even for those who aren't creeped out by him, it's impossible to say just who he is deep down inside, because he puts up a cold, unfriendly wall against anyone who tries to get closer. He has no interest whatsoever in making friends. When working with other people is necessary, Justin is curt, to-the-point, and he ignores any attempts to make smalltalk or go off-topic.
However, he's not actively mean-spirited. Every day at lunch, he does the following day's homework, and he has no problem with other students looking over his shoulder and copying his work. He even lets him eat his lunch, since he's rarely hungry enough for it.
Overall, Justin seems primarily concerned with getting the best grades he can and avoiding pointless interpersonal relationships. To him, "good" means productivity and "bad" means wasting time, effort, and resources. His notion of what counts as productivity is a bit arbitrary, but he deems it non-productive to dwell on that subject.
