It was the dead of night, pitch black save for a little bit of light from the crescent moon. Such things would not slow Unhallow down, they had no need for light. Their senses would pick up their surroundings in much greater detail than anyone's vision possibly could. That was exactly why Unhallow was picked for this job. A man found out just a little bit too much about the Keepers. Unhallow was under the impression he was a reporter, one known for getting into dangerous situations to report on dangerous people, and his reports tended to be a bit exaggerated. Unhallow wasn't sure what this man found out, but they understood the importance of secrecy with in the order. It wasn't their place to ask for the details.
The Keepers narrowed down his location enough that it wouldn't take long at all for Unhallow to find him. Whether he was hiding out in one of the many abandoned train cars, or hidden in a bunker underground didn't matter, Unhallow's senses would be able to find him. It was just a matter of getting close enough. After about an hour of wandering around the trainyard, they finally came across something suspicious. There was a massive hole in the ground, lined with metal. Definitely a bunker of sorts. Unhallow got closer to get a better look. The entrance was in a broken down train car, with a big enough hole in the top of it that squatters would be unlikely to use it for shelter, and a big enough hole in the side of it that it would be unlikely to be used by criminals as well. Clever. The inside was dark enough that it would be near impossible to find the indent in the ground that served as a handle to open the door to the entrance of the bunker unless you already knew it was there.
The inside was bare bones and unremarkable. The entire bunker was coated with metal, with metal stairs leading down to the bunker proper from the entrance. At the bottom of the stairs was another heavy door with a large lock, like a vault, and two armed guards defending it. Beyond the door there were three rooms. One was a large square room with several tables, crates and sheets of paper everywhere. Unhallow couldn't make out most of the text on the papers, but she had an idea what some of the papers pasted up on the walls were. There were thicker papers on the wall, with some smaller and thinner papers near them. In the papers were thumbtacks and strings leading to other papers. It was likely a way to organize information on people and places. They could make out several crates filled with weapons, some powdered substances they assumed were drugs, and other good they were pretty sure were illegal. One of the other rooms was similar, but that room was temperature controlled to prevent certain goods from spoiling. There was some food stored in there as well. The third room was likely just a bathroom.
Besides the two guards, Unhallow could feel the shapes of three other people. One of them was the person they came here for, and the other two were people they didn't recognize. The people inside the bunker were talking, mostly about moving Unhallow's target, protecting him, and negotiating prices for information. Was he trying to sell the information he got on the Keepers? Unhallow would need to move faster. After examining this place, it was clear to Unhallow that the people here were smugglers. They had little love for such people, and while they still didn't want to do any permanent damage to these people, they didn't feel the need to worry as much about hurting them for the short term. That was a fortunate discovery. The implication by sending Unhallow to retrieve this man alone, rather than just being used for reconnaissance, was that he was not meant to be brought back unharmed. This discovery eased her conscience.
As far as Unhallow could tell, all of the people in the bunker were unpowered. The small part of the brain that powered people had could be difficult to find though, so they would have to be prepared anyway. Even without powers, they did have guns, and those could be dangerous on their own. Unhallow still needed a bit of time to prepare to get rid of those threats. They reached out into the bunker with their power and started to make the weapons age and rust. It wouldn't take too long to destroy the delicate components that made up such weapons. The doors would be their next target, striking at the locks that held them closed so they would open with just a gentle push. The smugglers hadn't noticed their presence yet, so Unhallow could take their time. It was important to do this right. The Keepers might be able to send them some back up, but Unhallow was told not to count on that. It was entirely possible they would have to do this mission alone.
Once everything was ready, Unhallow slowly made their way to the broken train car that housed the entrance to the bunker. It was time to go in.

A little piece of paper was sitting innocently on his desk, awaiting his attention and his return home. He had been thinking about cooking dinner, but as soon as he caught sight of the slip, all thoughts of that condensed into settling for an energy bar. The paper was blank save for a set of coordinates and the word “break”, the prior of which, when plugged into Google Earth, zoomed in on an abandoned metal car out at the train yard. Break a train car? He could do that. The hero ate one of the bars stashed in his desk, pulled on his heroing outfit, grabbed his sword, and was off.
A brisk midnight walk to the trainyard ended with a quick teleport in, leaving him leaning in the shadow of another car. His targeted metal box was within sight. As far as he could tell, the surrounding area was all but empty. Blue Jay peeked out further, but a better look only increased his perplexity. He couldn’t see anything odd or off about it. The car was just like any other, if not a little more holey, but that wouldn’t be enough to normally raise his suspicions. It was like one of those logical “what’s wrong with this picture” puzzles that he just couldn’t figure out.
But the reason didn’t really matter in the face of a car to break. Nor did he bother with another look around as he was content with his last check, and didn’t much care if another person was about; but as such, he probably wouldn’t have noticed even if someone was standing beside his targeted car. Drawing his sword, Blue Jay stepped out from behind his sheltering car, prepared himself, and vanished. When he reappeared, he was perhaps fifteen feet above the targeted train car with only air under his feet and no momentum. He swung the sword downwards. A shockwave erupted from the blade and dug into the car, ripping at its old and rusted walls. He wasn’t holding back in the slightest against the inanimate metal box out in the middle of nowhere important. There would be no mercy.
As he dropped through the now even larger hole decorating the top, he raised his sword vertically. His feet hit ground and the sword plunged down, creating another shock wave at the point where blade met the floor. It was a one-two punch that, in his head, was supposed to be the swift and simple end to the train car. As expected, the old metal was indeed looking much farther past its prime since the hero’s arrival, but was he hadn’t anticipated was for the floor beneath him to give way. Blue Jay had landed atop the hidden hatch, and the door, taking the brunt of his attack, was unable to hold up its own weight, let alone his.
He let out a startled yell as his footing was no longer beneath him. Not for the first time, a plan Blue Jay thought would go off without a hitch resulted in him falling down a hole.

Lobisomem had not been expecting to fight too much today. They had just escaped with a whole box of food and was gleefully feeding at their home. Strangely enough, a piece of paper awaited their attention, break?
They quickly narrowed the coordinates to a traincar, what? Their curiosity quickly overrided their caution and with a full belly, there was really nothing to lose anymore!
They leapt out their window and darted across rooftops, reaching the coordinates in minutes, far faster than a human or even car would arrive.
A familiar person was already there, Blue Jay, trying out a crazy plan like usual. Before Lobisomem could announce their presence, Blue Jay had already set to work destroying the traincar.
Predictably, he fell through as soon as he was done, poor guy, this always seemed to happen to him!
Lobisomem trotted over before reeling back, nose crinkled, what the hell was that smell!? They peered inside and, realizing they'd find nothing like this, leapt after Blue Jay.
They could only hope curiosity would only kill cats...

Monody leaned against a wall in the back of the room, seeming as mysterious as ever while menacingly glaring in the direction of the supposed "informant". She needed dirt on the factions of Emerald City so what better than to work with the experienced? These men had backup and guards and weapons; Monody knew it'd be foolish to feel safe yet she did anyhow in such a secure, protected, hidden location. Besides, if anyone were to interrupt the conversation currently going on between everyone else - that she had simply listened to attentively from the beginning, failing and turning down any chances to respond or interfere - it'd be heard from quite a-ways even if said party-poopers were extremely skilled at sneaking.
By her side stand two animate, human-sized dolls that are as creepy as they sound: though Monody loves her creations all the same and has her arms around both as she leans back and continues to use the wall behind her as support. It was hard to tell as voices dragged on whether the "facts" given were true or false. Anything could be real in the freakish city she lived in, Monody concluded. Sighing deeply, her sapphire orbs focused on the entrance of the room she currently occupied. Of course. One loud noise and in a moment's notice she was alert and all the more annoyed. There were always buzz-kills around in these sort of situations... Always someone to ruin the fun or take away the grand prize.
No. Monody wouldn't have that tonight.
She shoved the man - without asking another or gaining permission, as if she'd do so any other time or in any other situation - into a tight, confined, hidden space before standing in front of it, using her nearly petite yet athletic figure clad in robes to protect the man. Not that she cared, it'd just be interesting to see what would go on and what exactly these intruders were looking for. If it were the "informant" she'd chuckle and put on a show anyhow. His tall tales were foolish but she could gain even more from the situation about to hit its climax.

This bloody town have not change one bit: still the same quiet night ruin by the police siren, still the same peace-less night when supers were up to no good. You would think that after all these years, these supers wound understand that on a night like this, people would like to have their beauty sleep, and be ready for what tomorrow might bring.
But then again, Anonymous know he shouldn’t be hypocritical about them; after all, that’s the reason he’s out there tonight anyway. When he heard about a possible hide-out for the smugglers was in the train yard, who is he to say no to that? Heaven forbid if he just leaved this information without investigating it further; he would be bore right out of whatever sane mind he had left. It took him some moment to find the car that he was searching for; it didn’t surprise him that the car looked empty and deserted. “A perfect disguise,” he thought to himself; no one would ever think of looking in a broken down car in search for a secret hide-out. Before he could make his way inside, however, he can slightly hear someone’s thought nearby, seven to be exact. Each thought nearly give Anonymous a spitting migraine if he didn’t temporally calm it down, but he manage to get a few important piece of information about these people. From what he can extract before the splitting headache came, someone is planning on capturing a reporter who is now inside the hide-out because he know something importance. With a smile form upon his face, this wasn’t something he expected:
“Goodness me, this is quite a dilemma, isn’t it?” he said to himself. On one hand, he was planning on taking down these smugglers and brings swift judgment to them; on the other hand, whatever information this “reporter” might know could come in handy if he manages to obtain them. After some moment of thinking, an idea pops in his head: he takes out a small silver coin from his pocket and flips it into the air. He caught the coin in midair and quietly places it on his other hand and reveals the result. Another grin creeps up his featureless face once again before he heard a loud crash in the direction of the car. Putting the coin away and observe, he notices someone is hitting the car with a weapon, and as soon as the car got destroy, another figure hop into view and sniff the air before both figure vanish, almost as if the ground swallow them both up in one gulp.
Anonymous can’t help but let out a big grin across his face. He doesn’t know who they are or why they just announce their present to the smugglers, but he didn’t really care. “This is going to be fun” he said before quietly making his way toward the remains of the car.

A shadow fell on the trainyard as Dullahan descended. The steady fwap fwap fwap of his rotors was quieter than one would normally expect, given the size of his body. He was using a custom-designed helicopter, tonight, and it was only after the threat to the informant materialized that he decreased his altitude.
This arrangement was one of the few criminal enterprises in the docks that didn't have Pandaemonium's hand in it. Information became less valuable the more widely it was known, after all, and the horde was not known for its subtlety.
So, Dullahan was offering his services here on an independent basis. It seemed that the client was justified in wanting some superpowered protection. Dullahan recognized the superhero Blue Jay carving a typical path of destruction, and on top of that there was some sort of monstrous super approaching as well.
Dullahan turned on his spotlights, illuminating the trainyard in harsh light from above and casting deep shadows throughout. Wordlessly, he brought his weapons to bear. It would be best to wrap this up quickly and then extract the client before anyone else could respond to the disturbance.

Unhallow always worried about keeping people with in range of their power for longer than absolutely necessary, but in this instance, stopping the fight before it started would help everyone involved. Unhallow would be able to leave more quickly, and no bullets could be fired at anyone. It was worth taking the time necessary to do this right.
Sadly, it was not meant to be. A fight was already inevitable, but it was a fight they assumed would not last long given they took the time to remove one side's ability to fight. Someone entered the edge of their visual range, and given how distinct that sword was, there was little doubt about who it was. In an instant, the sword wielder was suddenly in the air right above Unhallow's head. It was fortunate that they hadn't entered the train car yet and that the sword wielder was going for power as much as speed. This time, Unhallow would be able to move out of the way of the attack. Without thinking too hard about it, they dove away from the train car, attempted to roll back onto their feet, but failed and ended up flat on their face. It was a vulnerable position, but not one that could be exploited it seemed.
The sword wielder's position was worse, as it did not appear as though he was expecting there to be a hole underneath the train car. He tumbled down the stairs to the vault door that protected the entrance to the smugglers' den. Was he wit them? No, that was unlikely. The guards at the door hefted their guns to get ready to shoot, only for them to jam or otherwise fall apart thanks to Unhallow's earlier work. That would not be a reasonable way to act towards someone that was on the guards' side. Another super entered their field of vision, another familiar one. Unhallow tensed as they started to piece together what was going on. Was this pair of heroes targeting Keepers, or even specifically targeting Unhallow after what happened in that last fight? It seemed odd considering how willingly the pair let them go last time, but they couldn't imagine any other reason for the duo to be here. Unhallow quickly got to their feet and attempted to calm down. Nervousness never helped anything.
"S-State your business here!"
Their mechanical voice moved through the area. As always, it was difficult to tell exactly who they were talking to given that their helmet completely obscured their face.
Another person entered her range, likely super. Their shape didn't resemble a human's, and their anatomy made even less sense. Unhallow was not quite sure what this person was. Unhallow was also having a tough time determining exactly what they were doing. Flipping a coin? It was impossible to know what they would be doing here, but Unhallow had to be prepared for this worse.
This situation was going to get messy wasn't it?

Well, it doesn’t take long for another one to join in for the party when a sudden spotlight from the sky appears. “Well, the more the merrier” he would said, and this party is just about to get started. Anonymous begin to survey the area around him: a humanoid figure wearing full-bodysuit, a kid with a sword in hand, a strange fuzzy-looking beast, and a helmet-wearing humanoid riding in a helicopter. Quite an interesting party composition and he can tell there’s one more member missing from the fun. Anonymous might have heard about these supers somewhere before; after all, the city’s rumor system can be quite reliable, but this is the first time he ever actually met them face-to-face.
After the sword wielder crash into the car and stumble down the smuggler’s hide-out, with the furry-beast follow after him, the bodysuit wearer revealed themselves when it asked everyone there the reason of their present here. It is rather unclear to whom that request was for, but they seems like they know the sword-wielder and the furry-beast somewhat, so Anonymous assumed the request was toward him. He couldn’t blame them; this is actually the first time that he found himself involved with so many supers around in the same spot. Judging from the almost-mechanical voice from them, it is unclear if what just talk was either a human with a broken voice-modulator, or a robot who just learn how to speak. He must tread this situation carefully, especially when he doesn’t know how powerful these supers’ powers are apart from what he learned from rumor.
But Anonymous must admit, the situation does manage to bring a crooked smile across his face. Especially since the bodysuit-wearer doesn’t appear to like the idea of the sword-wielder and the furry-beast showed up in the train-yard either, so either they all have a bad history with each other or they aren’t ally with each other. Either way, Anonymous would need more information about each of them without opening the flood of migraine via activating his power. He need to make sure he didn’t get too close to any of the supers present there that night until he can be absolutely certain of their goal here. Of course, he doesn't needs to reveal his own reason of being here to them, yet:
“Oh please, don’t mind me,” he replied to the bodysuit-super, “I was just in the neighborhood when I notice a party around here and I wasn’t invited. So I thought I invites myself in."
He tipped his black fedora and slightly bow his head before continued: "What about you? What bring you all out here in such a beautiful crescent night? I doubt you’re all here to see who's the strongest among you by destroying the train yard; at least, I hope not.”

Blue Jay tumbled down the stairs. That answered his question of what was so different about this particular car, but as he was struggling to reclaim his footing from gravity, a whole slew of new ones were raised. These included, but were not limited to: why in the world was there a set of stairs underneath a random train car? He recovered quickly enough to keep grip of his sword, but not soon enough to keep him from sliding, prone, to the feet of the two guards with guns. The guards did the obvious thing; raise their guns at the intruder. Blue Jay braced himself, heard the triggers click - and then silence. There was a moment of mutual confusion between the three people situated around the door. One of the guard’s guns had jammed, and the other’s hadn’t so much as jammed as fallen apart in her hands.
This was too good of luck for it to be simply that, but he wasn’t about to complain. Blue Jay, at last at grips with his center of balance, jumped to his feet and lunged at the nearest guard, giving him a hilt to the head. He was about to do the same to the next when he caught a familiar sight in his peripheral. This would be, technically, the third time Blue Jay had run into the wolf-like super, and as far as he was concerned, them showing up was akin to the arrival of another Bulwark. Blue Jay beamed at his once-again ally, and would’ve greeted them by name. Then he realized he’d never gotten one from the super. A wave and a quick “Hey!” would have to do.
It was around this time that the ground floor became very noisy. Blue Jay wasn’t exactly sure what all was happening up there, but it wasn’t the dark and silent night he’d just come from. Among the voices and noises, however, a familiar one stood out to him. It was Unhallow, a super whose name he'd taken the time to figure out. Last time they met, they and he had been on opposite sides. He wasn't sure why they were here or their motivations in relation to him, but Blue Jay saw the fact that they were asking questions (that seemed like they might have been directed at him possibly, but he was going to respond regardless) rather than attacking him as a good thing. “That's a really good question.” Blue Jay called back, and one he didn’t have a very good answer to. “Breaking and entering, I guess. This is exactly what it looks like.” He shrugged and turned to the wolf-like super. “You too, I’m assuming?”
What next? Forward, he figured. This bunker must’ve been the goal of the note - unless there was some other, bigger secret hidden beneath this train car, because a hidden bunker just wasn’t enough for scope - so forward he would go, in hopes of figuring out what the hell was going on here.

Dullahan was amused to note that the heroes seemed to be rushing right down into the villains' lair. Once again, the vehicle he had prepared for tonight's engagement was ill-suited to bringing the fight to the interlopers. Helicopters were not known for their subterranean capabilities.
However, he was even less worried this time than he had been during the fight on the dock. There was a common saying, 'divide and conquer', which implied that one should fight one's enemies separately where possible. But one could also take a saying from the opposite perspective, 'between a rock and a hard place', which illustrated how being surrounded by one's enemies could be a very bad thing.
From the limited information he had on the other super the client had brought in to protect him, Dullahan thought it was appropriate to characterize her as a rock. Which meant that it was up to him to make the outside a very hard place. He lowered his altitude further as he selected an option and activated it.

Lobisomem grunted softly as their paws collided with a metal surface, a hidden hatch! They spotted Blue Jay on the ground nearby, but before they could pick him up, the clicks of a gun sounded in their ears.
Panic flooded their eyes and they curled around their less scaly parts, praying that bullet wounds didn't hurt as much as they thought. Surprisingly, the guns fell apart.
Lobisomem jumped forward and swatted one man against the wall, he'd live but he wouldn't wake anytime soon.
They perked their ears at Blue Jay's greeting, raising a paw and rumbling in greeting. Their attention turned to Unhallow, who asked why they were here. Lobisomem shrugged, unsure why they had been called here.
They startled as someone else answered, who looked creepier than even Unhallow. Lobisomem gave a low growl to him and Unhallow, just a warning, as they didn't look like a threat yet.
They looked around themselves, caution plain in their eyes as they smelled drugs and all kinds of horrible substances.
What was this hellhole?

Monody stood erect in posture as she planted both hands on her hips, huffing loudly in annoyance. She'd have to protect this man and get what she wanted out of him but also deal with opponents. Though a small smirk graced her soft features as a sudden - and clearly obvious - solution lit a bulb in her head.
There didn't have to be a fight at all. Why attack someone when they haven't done anything to you? That's what she'd attempt to use on the rest, leaving the men in the room who were panicked to themselves. They hadn't helped her and so she definitely wouldn't help them. Way to underestimate a woman, Monody thought while rolling her bright blue eyes, idly twirling a piece of hair while awaiting an entrance.
Nobody would know - unless their power provided them with such information - where the supposed informant was, as Monody suspected these strangers she had yet to see were either here for the smugglers or for the hidden man. Either way she wouldn't even try to fight or pick one; If that happened, anyway, she had her dolls to do the dirty work for her.

Unhallow was confused when someone besides the sword wielder responded to her inquiry. Unhallow frowned. They seriously had to get used to talking to people in this helmet. This wasn't the first time people had gotten confused about that. It just always felt pointless to actually move their head in the direction of the person they were talking to, so it stopped being a reflex when they relied solely on their supernatural sense. It could be an opportunity in this case though. Maybe for once, a fight and the pain that came with it could be avoided.
"I am looking for someone. He's currently inside," she gave perfect directions towards where one of the other heroes had hidden him. "If I could just have him, then I will leave." Unhallow nodded to themselves, that was reasonable right?
Blue Jay's answer did little to inspire confidence. At this point it really was looking like he just attacked random things if they were there. Unhallow would never understand the more violent heroes. There was a slight pause after he spoke.
"You're...you're not going to randomly attack me again once you're done in there are you?"
With any luck, Unhallow wouldn't be around long enough to find out, but it was still a concern. Another hero entered Unhallow's sensory range. Given the fact that the hero's body was in multiple pieces, there was little doubt as to who this was. They felt like they should be less surprised that Pandaemonium had a hand in the smuggling business here. Unhallow didn't think that these kinds of smugglers would appreciate how boisterous Pandaemonium tended to be. The fact that he was in a flying machine worried Unhallow a little bit. Even though they had no love for the group or its members, they still had no interest in accidentally killing them. Flying machines were delicate. If their power took out the wrong piece of equipment then...Unhallow mentally shook their head. They could not focus on this right now, they had to focus on the mission.
Unhallow opted to stay out of the smuggler's den, if only because them at close quarters tended to be dangerous. Less dangerous to Unhallow themselves, and more to the enemies. They still had no desire to hurt anyone too badly. Fortunately, their senses would still give them insight to what was happening inside. Once again, the Bulwark member and his pet were breaking everything without a care in the world while the people with the temper most people would consider more villainous weren't doing any damage at all. Embarrassing. It must be nice to be able to throw around power without having to worry about it hurting anyone.
A small canister came out of the helicopter with a gaseous substance Unhallow was unable to identify inside. Considering where it was aimed, it probably wasn't anything good. Still not wanting to run, Unhallow dove out of the way, but not nearly far enough. Their body was engulfed in the gas as it came out of the canister. They coughed, though it sounded more like a strange mechanical buzzing. Unhallow moved out of the cloud as quickly as they could, still refusing to run. It quickly became clear that was pointless. It was hard to breathe, but worse than that, Unhallow could feel their heart pounding in their chest. It was noticably speeding up, almost as bad as it was in the middle of combat. Unhallow knew they were feeling nervous, but this amount of beats was almost certainly not because of that. The gas was making her heat rate speed up.
Unhallow's blood ran cold. They had to get far away from everyone, as far as possible. Sadly, Unhallow knew they couldn't just abandon the mission, they had to stay close enough to monitor the informant. This was bad, everyone would be well with in her visual range in order for them to do that. Gritting their teeth, the ran towards an empty train car for cover. As long as they could sense everyone, they could affect the battle, they didn't need to be close. However, even that was closer than they would have liked. Their body was starting to go numb. Before Unhallow could fall, they sat down on the ground. The gas was even going to stop Unhallow from getting further away. The hero in the helicopter may have just signed their own death warrant by being so careless.
Unhallow had to end this fight quickly, but they really didn't like the implications of that. Most of the time, they could stop their power from getting too out of hand by directing most of the energy into the ground. However, with their heart rate this high, there was simply too much of it for them to handle. They could already feel some cracks forming in their chest plate, and it would only get worse from here.
