The front wall of the bank dissolved into a cloud of rainbow sparkles, and Dullahan's engine rumbled as he drove through it. He was in a high-tech sportscar, today, with a recessed open-air compartment on top for his partner in crime, Aurora Disicio.
Dullahan was relying on the other super to handle the broad-daylight heist itself. From her position inside Dullahan's vehicle, Aurora would be able to dissolve the bank apart, piece-by-piece from the vault doors to the safe deposit boxes. Meanwhile, the customers and tellers were running for cover. The scene was one of unbridled chaos as Dullahan navigated through the dissolving walls, positioning Aurora to grab everything of value here with her power.
It was a pleasant synergy, Dullahan thought. Aurora's power was perfectly suited to stealing things, and Dullahan's was ideal for making a clean getaway.
And that second point was becoming more relevant by the second. This wasn't taking nearly enough time for the police to be able to respond in force, but this bank was also right under Bulwark's nose, which meant that there were plenty of superheroes close enough to make this complicated.
Dullahan didn't bother to wait until Aurora was done. He accelerated without warning, pulling out through the hole Aurora had made in the side of the bank and abruptly swerving onto the main roads. The traffic still hadn't had time to completely evacuate the area, but Dullahan maneuvered between them without concern, leaving plenty of scraped paintjobs in his wake.
Within a matter of seconds, they were on the highway, and Dullahan began speeding toward the city limits. The next step was to escape pursuit and then sneak back into the city, but that would be more easily said than done.

The plan was simple: head to the bank at break neck speeds, open up as many holes as possible, take as much as possible and then get out of there without slowing down. It was a very stupid plan in a lot of was, but way too awesome not to try. Aurora didn't have much use for the money, she was perfectly content just taking whatever she needed and there was little anyone could do to stop her, but there was a degree of showmanship in this plan that made it acceptable. Not only were they robbing the bank in broad daylight, but they were doing it in quite possibly the most outlandish way possible that it was sure to grab a lot of attention. Aurora made sure to have at least some stuff in her cloud before heading to the bank, just so she could raise her aurora to the sky to signal her arrival as usual. The people here wouldn't have as much time to escape, but they wouldn't really need it if she did her job right.
Keeping up with Dullahan's vehicle was more difficult than she initially thought it would be. It only took a fraction of a second for anything to dissolve, but she could only make one thing dissolve at a time. She had to be real careful with her aim if she didn't want to be a smear on a wall. Fortunately, she was used to thinking fast, and tended to thrive in such intense situations. There were a few close calls, but that was to be expected when moving this fast. It didn't take long at all for her to grab most everything of value with in the vaults, and as they sped out of the bank, she made sure to smash it up a little bit too for tradition's sake.
Aurora cackled as they sped down the road. Her aurora was massive at this point, mostly filled with money and whatever else she saw in the vaults. Even if someone did manage to catch up to her, it's not like they could just take the money back. Such tactics also meant that Dullahan could keep his vehicle small and more maneuverable. There was no need for any cargo space. She kept her aurora low on the ground, making it look almost like the rockets powering the car were shooting out rainbows instead of fire. Any pursuers would have to go through her power at high speeds, which meant not only would they have a very difficult time seeing, but it'd likely rub their skin raw if they ran through it for too long.

Nightflyer hated the sunshine, but that wasn't going to stop her from trying to bring in some low-life thieves, even if it was the middle of the day.
It was an audacious plan, she had to admit, to rob a bank in broad daylight. It was an even bolder move to rob it under the Bulwark's nose. To choose a location so close to where the Bulwark operated was a a test of tenacity. A struggle for power and control. These criminals were making a public statement challenging the power of the Bulwark in its own neighborhood. Nightflyer envisioned a society where the Bulwark was a publicly accepted and lauded institution of supers dedicated to helping all people. A win here could potentially score some serious PR points.
She beat her wings at a furious pace, climbing higher and higher into the sky, trying to catch a glimpse of the car and two villains hiding within. Her form afforded her many strengths, but enhanced vision wasn't one of them. Still, enough people had been in that bank and been able to give matching descriptions of the high-tech sports car that tore through its center, ripping holes with abandon and stealing valuables and money in its wake.
These crooks didn't know it, but they chose a poor time for their heist. A different day and Nightflyer might be indisposed, occupied by the demands of her other world, and unable to aid in the eventual capture of these miscreants. But today she was totally available. There was nothing she wanted more than to assist in the apprehension of these fools.
She flew towards the limits of the city because she assumed the villains would try to escape out of Emerald City- it was the most obvious move. Her eyes scanned over hundreds and hundreds of cars, taking them all in, analyzing all their details... there! A sportscar, high tech and not like a normal automobile one would find on the road, the same color and general description corroborated by multiple witnesses from inside the bank.
She kicked it into high gear, her dragon wings soaring over the city highways at top notch speeds. When she found herself directly over the car, she lowered herself until she was only two or three inches above its hood and cranked her neck to stare directly into the driver's side window. Why not start with some psychological warfare?

The pro to recognizing Aurora’s aurora and being fairly close to HQ by happenstance and good luck was Blue Jay had been able to catch a glimpse of the sports car as it whisked away the super and her particularly large cloud of colorful stardust.
Blue Jay pondered how he might best take out the wheels of the car and bring it to a hault as he sped from rooftop to rooftop, attempting to keep up with the speeding vehicle. Maybe he could get in front of it and hit it with a shockwave?
No, that would wreck the road and could possibly hit any surrounding cars, not to mention anyone on the sidewalks or the cars behind the suddenly halted vehicle. He could jab at one of the tiers; try to flatten one of them.
No, what if the vehicle swerved out of control, careening into oncoming and otherwise quickly moving traffic, or worse, into pedestrians? The sports car was moving quickly enough that he had to be constantly landing and teleporting in order to keep up. If something like that stopped suddenly, in a city as busy as this… Blue Jay shuttered at the thought. The best course of action was to follow the supers for a while until they were out of the highly populated downtown and begin the battle once there weren’t casual walkers or commuters to hit.
But then, of course, other supers had to show up. Why was it the more supers that arrived in one place, the more complicated matters became? To make said matters worse, it was another Bulwark: Nightflyer. Blue Jay didn’t know the super all that well, but that hardly mattered in the face of her being a Bulwark. They were supposed to be teammates.
And that’s what made Blue Jay’s gut churn when he saw her begin to engage the two thieves. Not in anger - no, that’s probably what she’d be feeling about him pretty quick here - but in a tough, no-win situation that he hadn’t been expecting in the slightest when he woke up this morning. He had to stop her.
Now, he wasn’t about to stop Nightflyer from stopping Aurora and Dullahan, but he was going to attempt to stop her and any others from causing too much collateral damage to the people in fast moving vehicles and no easy way to get out of their current and potentially deadly situation because frankly the lives of the civilians were worth more to him than whatever money the two Pandemoniums had nabbed. Or his reputation. Or his pride.
He made a mental apology to his fellow Bulwark and teleported onto the side of the road. The moment he landed he was off again, displacing himself forward as quickly as he could until he was consistently landing his teleport about half a car length ahead and to the side opposite of Nightflyer of Dullahan’s vehicle.
Blue Jay drew his sword. This was going to be a long day.

Normally, a bank robbery is no concern for a Keeper; there’s no reward in stopping the robber from getting away. They’re not vigilante, and they couldn’t afford time to do something that won’t benefit them in the long run. So when word of the Pandaemonium group robbing the bank in the downtown area, normally it would goes under the radar for the Keeper agents. The only way that a Keeper would get themselves involve in this situation is when the bank got rob have something importance to them.
It seems that one of the usual informants for the Keeper organization had kept a journal in the safe-deposit box in that bank vault. The information inside that journal might prove to be very dangerous if the Pandaemonium manage to get away with it. Judging from how sloopy the heist goes, the Pandaemonium probably doesn’t know what they have in their possession. It is rather unfortunate that some of the active Keepers agents are currently have themselves busy with a different mission, so the Keeper have no other choice but to ask the aid from their AI agent.
HaLOS doesn’t complain, it had remained in the Sanctum all this time, and it had constantly demanded them to set it free to the outside. This is a great opportunity: if HaLOS managed to complete this mission, perhaps the information in that journal could be a great leverage on them. After gaining the information of the possible opponents that it will face, HaLOS applied some minor upgrade to its robotic form that can allow it the speed and maneuverability through the traffic in order to chase them down.
After some time going through the traffic camera and police scanner, HaLOS managed to pin-point down the Pandaemonium’s position on the highway, heading out-of-town, possibly trying to get away long enough to return back to their hide-out somewhere in the city later. With their possible location found, HaLOS moved across the highway and run quickly toward the obvious high-tech sport car that have the aurora surrounding it. They’re making this way too easy to track them down. Clearly they have a tail following them as well; a humanoid dragon and a super? Doesn’t matter, they won’t be too much of a concern; if they are, then they better be ready to take some high-power armor-piercing bullets coming at them.

Lobisomem was having a nice day for maybe 5 seconds, everyone was normal, no one was talking to them, and the frankly terrifying dogs were all leaping around their feet. A good day.
At least till a whining noise rose in the streets, prompting a howl from their gathered dogs. They winced in pain and covered their ears, stumbling out to peer at the robbery.
Aurora was at it again, along with her vehicle friend. Lobisomem bared their fangs, rumble echoing from their throat. They had just up to here with these two's shit! Destroy them, just like you do to all annoyances.
Lobisomem didn't think of how many people were around the getaway car, nor did they see that other heroes had arrived, they just wanted to beat the two villains out of their life.
They ducked into an alley, shying away from all sunlight as they transformed. They tracked the car with their eyes and launched after it, scattering pedestrians as they leap out of their way.
They couldn't wait to crush the car.

It looked like the Pandaemonium villains' luck had run out, as there were already plenty of other supers on the scene, all of which had one way or another to keep up with the chase. Dullahan kept careful watch through his cameras as he analyzed the situation. At least the heavy traffic on the highway would work to his advantage.
Dullahan saw the monstrous Nightflyer swooping down, almost as if to have a friendly chat with the two villains, but she'd have to be disappointed on one account at least. After all, the fiasco at the news station had left Dullahan without any time to fully repair his body. Once she got close enough, she'd clearly be able to see through the tinted bulletproof windows that the car's driver lacked a head to speak with.
He swerved, putting a minivan with a full family inside between himself and Nightflyer, but that was as far as he could go. On the other side, Blue Jay was easily keeping pace with traffic. It seemed that the Bulwark heroes had made themselves a villain sandwich.
On top of that, there were two more supers joining the pursuit... the monster from the trainyard, and some sort of cyborg-looking super that Dullahan didn't recognize. So much for the hope that only Bulwark heroes would respond. Dullahan focused up ahead, looking for a way to throw these interlopers off.

Things were happening very quickly all around her as she kept pace with the escaping villains.
She had gotten close enough to identify one of the pair- Aurora's aurora might have tipped her off from a further distance, but she saw colors less clearly in this form. The super behind the wheel seemed to be missing a head at the moment, his lack of eyeballs not stopping him from swerving in and out of traffic around innocent civilians like this was a live-action version of Mario Kart.
It took almost no time at all for other supers to arrive on the scene. She breathed a sigh of relief to see Blue Jay, a teammate, making his way into the heat of the conflict. The younger looking boy was teleporting as quickly as Nightflyer was flying, keeping pace with the car with relative ease.
Her satisfaction of Blue Jay's arrival was further complicated by the presence of two other supers who were making their way on the scene- an unidentified cyborg like creature, and the wolfdragon beast she had met in the forest. Their interaction there had been friendly, but she hadn't been working then. This was business.
The villains tried an evasive maneuver to put more space between their car and Nightflyer, and it was successful for a moment, but it took only a bit of extra effort to propel herself higher into the air, over the minivan that had come between them, in line with the sports car again. She cast her glance towards Blue Jay, who had a strange scowl set on his face. Like he was deep in contemplation. Maybe she was reading too much into it, as she didn't know him very well.
She thought that it would really be a good thing for Bulwark members to devise a system of hand signals so they could communicate non verbally across large spaces and in the presence of enemies, but at the present, she hoped Blue Jay understood her intention when she raised one of her clawed fingers into the sky and pointed it at the vehicle. Without a noise at all, she swooped down, fingers barred, hoping to pop a tire, or knock an axle out of alignment, or something.

Lobisomem narrowed their eyes as they stretched their legs further and further, finally taking a flying leap into the highway. People screeched to a halt, some even colliding as they raced to avoid their bulk. Yet Lobisomem didn't even look back, a haze of red covering their eyes.
They knew some people were trying to hell out, but for the life of them, they couldn't identify their faces at this speed.
They started to dash next to Dullahan's car, glaring at both villains, their paws itched to beat their faces in. If they could only find their faces...

Six, including him. That’s how many supers had shown up on the highway around the sports car. To make matters worse, he considered two of them to be allies. Why now, of all times, did the wolf-like super have to show up? For that matter, did Dullahan and Aurora really have to go so fast? If he was them, he would have opted for a leisurely strolling safely away from the scene of the crime, no high-speed chase needed.
Blue Jay felt his heart in his throat as the sports car neared a full minivan. The woman driving had a look of utter panic on her face and was attempting to get over into another lane without causing too much disturbance to the similarly riled drivers behind her. Already there had been a couple of crashes back where the wolf super had made their entrance.
He’d have to do something, and do it fast. If only he had some solid ground - constantly displacing himself was jarring and made it difficult to do anything precise. Actually, there was one bit of somewhat stationary ground. Hopefully Dullahan wouldn’t mind one more passenger.
Blue Jay aimed his next displacement carefully. Rather than landing on the road, he appeared over the top of the car with only a moment to grab onto the classy-looking bar behind Aurora’s seat before the car yanked him along with it. It took him a good couple of moments to pull himself up to a secure enough crouch.
He locked eyes with the other Bulwark, his face a mix of apology and panic. “Nightflyer, back off!” Blue Jay yelled, unintentionally being vague as to why exactly. Everything was moving so fast - literally - and his communication skills were doing a poor job of keeping up.
Looking over the surrounding car, Blue Jay began tapping anything metallic-looking with his sword-holding hand (carefully, so as to not drop the blade), muttering “metal, metal,” under his breath.

The sport car swerved around, causing a minivan to veer off the lane, nearly stood in HaLOS way. As the wolf-creature emerged into the highway, more drivers stood in the way between HaLOS and its target. Recalculating the number, the possible collateral damage had risen to 99%; usually it doesn’t concern itself with this type of data, but it can already hear one of the Keeper agents yelling at it to keep the collateral to the minimum. Silly human and their effort to save an insignificant life of another, but orders are orders. It changed the volume of the speaker in this form and let out a loud, monotone mechanical voice for everyone in the highway to hear while chasing down the car:
“People on the high-way listen carefully: requesting for immediate evacuation of the area! This is your one and only warning; you have 15 seconds to comply, anyone decide to stay will be deem as hazardous and will be remove by force. That included you all as well, supers who are present in the vicinity. Demanding the super in the car, Dullahan and Aurora, to cease running away; you have been warn.”
That should to keep those pesky agents to get off its back for once. Some of the drivers in the high-way seem to listen to the warning and tried their best to pull over to the side of the high-way; there are some minor collision, but nothing major had happen yet.

It didn't take long for the heroes to show up. For once, Aurora was actually disappointed that they showed. Normally she loved pounding these people into the dirt, but the situation here was completely different. She look a quick glance around the highway. There were enough cars around that with a power like hers, she could cause some serious carnage and there wouldn't be much they could do to stop it. She wouldn't of course, wouldn't even threaten it, she didn't use such underhanded tactics, but what would they do if she, say, decided to take some tires? Did they even think this through? She expected resistance, but she hoped it would have been later in the chase. It was honestly making her wonder if these so called heroes cared about their precious little civilians at all, or if, for whatever reason, they simply trusted Aurora not to do anything. That was still a rather silly thing to think given Dullahan was here as well, but regardless, she was beginning to wonder if people were becoming a little too willing to fight her around other people. Something to keep in mind at least.
Most of the supers she recognized, but there was one she didn't. There was apparently another flying jackass in a metal suit. Exactly how she missed their existence, Aurora wasn't sure. She made a point of keeping up to date on all things super to be be prepared for such situations. Seeing someone she outright didn't recognize was a little unnerving. The others would be easy enough to deal with, but she was pretty sure this highway was going to be full of holes by the time they were done, and it wouldn't be because of her power for once. When Blue Jay tried to climb onto the vehicle, she lifted her leg to go kick him off, only to be momentarily stunned by what he actually ended up saying.
"Wait what?" Aurora immediately broke out laughing. "Welcome aboard hero!"
While she was glad at least someone in the Bulwark was being sensible, the situation was just too hilarious not to laugh at. This was Blue Jay, and he was going to help Aurora Disicio of all people rob a bank. Of course, if he intended to fight them off the usual way he'd probably still cause as much damage as they would, but she wasn't about to turn down some in team fighting. More than anything, she was curious to see how the other members of the Bulwark would take this. She would have to listen extra carefully for news and rumors.

Even with the rockets firing, the heroes were still able to keep up with Dullahan long enough to smash up his rear end. Fortunately, the rear wheels losing power didn't mean so much now that he had moved over to rocket propulsion. The g forces pushed Dullahan's body back in its seat as the car reached speeds far in excess of what should be done on a highway. His cybernetic reflexes were tested to their limit as he swooped left and right between the civilian cars.
His rear cameras showed that this was far from over, though. It'd still take more time to accelerate to a speed beyond what the enemy supers could match. And in the meantime, it was becoming more and more difficult to avoid crashing into the civilians.
"Hold on," Dullahan's synthesized voice came from the car's speakers, for the benefit of both Aurora and the apparently-not-hostile Blue Jay. His rockets flared hot enough to melt the asphalt in a long trail behind his car.
