Lobisomem's paws sunk painfully into the concrete as they slammed into the ground, the robot was faster than it looked!
They groaned as they felt their knees wobble, it felt way too familiar to just be a random energy loss. Unhallow, this whole thing just reeked of them.
Their head shot up as a crash rang out, followed by the screech of brakes and the sound of metal clattering to the ground. Amazing. He got hit by a car. How the hell did he get hit by a car!? He could teleport!
Their mind was obviously consumed by this, so their disarrayed mind didn't instantly tell them not to respond to the robots attempt to treat them like a mutt of some kind, so they leaned down for a brief moment, "Make me"
Words said, they galloped off in the crash's direction, if only to whisk roadkill away.

There were certain downsides to redirecting as much energy as Unhallow was into the ground. They continued to do it because it lessened the effects of their power on the people around them, but it also meant they were very quickly destroying the ground under them. This wasn't a problem when the ground was dirt, but when there were a maze of pipes, asphalt, and concrete instead there could be issues. In this case, a pipe burst, flooding the area underneath and making the ground even less sturdy. It became weak enough that after a few moments under the onslaught of Unhallow's power, it collapsed entirely, causing Unhallow to suddenly fall. The energy they intended to direct at the creature was instead flung harmlessly into the sky. Unhallow only hoped that there were no birds flying overhead right now.
Thus, not only did Unhallow miss their mark, but now they were stuck waist deep in a narrow hole that was very quickly filling with water. It was hard to get any kind of footing, and Unhallow simply wasn't strong enough to pull themselves out with their arms alone. Further, their armor kept getting caught on the edges. In short, they were completely stuck until their power started breaking apart the edges of the hole, making it wider so that hopefully they'd have a bit more leverage. Not being able to move wouldn't affect their ability to fight too much, but being in a situation like this was just humiliating. At this point, Unhallow just wanted to disappear.

Remembrance of the passing sirens brought to Blue Jay’s mind another imminent threat. Besides the two Keepers in pursuit, he also had to worry about the city’s authority. With his powers, even the police’s worst threats didn’t mean much to him, but if they continued to not work… Worse, he didn’t know what was and wasn’t working. If his teleportation abilities could fail, what about his defensive abilities? He couldn’t be sure if he was going to be bulletproof or not.
The best plan for now was to try to avoid detection. He’d stick to the back alleys, away from the people and the easily-visible street, and try to throw those after him off his scent without attracting any new sets of eyes. On foot. While injured.
Then came a screech. It was not as terrifying as hearing the sound of approaching jets, but it froze him all the same (and not just because he had to cover his ringing ears). The super Blue Jay connected the noise was one he was hesitant to meet. He would like to say he knew the wolf-super was above attacking him for what happened the day prior, but he couldn’t he blame them if they did, and Blue Jay had seen plenty of times what that super’s claws were capable of.
Still, he felt a relief in knowing a super he’d worked with was in the area. He could know, as he jogged down the dark alleyways, ever working his way out of the center of the city, that wasn’t completely alone and powerless against two Keepers.

A slight headache... Even a little bit of nausea. This couldn't be fatigue from using Velocity's own power, not yet. Perhaps it was Unhallow's doing? There was no way of knowing, perhaps the closer he got to the super, the most physically ill he became. However, it could very well just be some sort of illness, still there could be no risking it. Just like that, Unhallow was stuck in a very narrow hole, quickly filling with water, Velocity frowned, that had been completely random, there had been no signs of an understudy ground, what was up with this Unhallow person?
At this point, Velocity was completely of what was happening around him, he was purely focusing on Unhallow... He needed to know what in the world was up with the extremely strange super.

Lobisomem tilted their head curiously at the battle going on around them, surprised that they could even spare time to admire the fury going around the city.
They snapped back into the fact they were participating in the fight as a nausea filled their stomach. As a creature that consumed much more than a normal creature, this was a highly distressing situation.
They sucked in a breath as they let the familiar angry haze fill their head, exerting a horrible amount of self-control to not eat someone here.
Fight. Claw. Feed!

As expected, being stuck in a hole was not a very advantageous position to be in. Unexpectedly, only one of the other supers took advantage of it. Unhallow could just barely track his movements, but even with that, it's not like they could do anything with this knowledge. Even if they weren't stuck in a hole there was no way they'd be able to move away fast enough to avoid this. All being able to see the movement confirmed was that he hit Unhallow with his own body and not a projectile, meaning that he was entering the area Unhallow's power was at its most dangerous. Fortunately, the contact was quick, but even so Unhallow could feel the poor hero's blood cells die in mass, his skin cells die quickly enough that it would look like the first few layers of skin just disintegrated right off his foot and the lower part of his leg, and he'd probably be feeling some weakness in his bones and muscles from those cells dying rapidly as well. They doubted it would be enough to impact his performance too much here, not yet at least, but they couldn't imagine it was a very pleasant feeling.
Not that Unhallow was in much better condition. The attack was enough to make them stop thrashing at the hole in an effort to help break it apart as their power made the edges fall apart, and flop on the ground directly in front of them. It knocked the wind out of Unhallow for a moment, but once their senses returned, they slowly lifted their head and body off the ground and coughed. The voice modulator they used made it sound more like an awkward buzzing noise than a cough though. Once again, Unhallow pawed at the edge of the hole, desperately trying to widen it so they could get out.
"Do not," Unhallow coughed again, "approach me. Under any circumstances."
Their voice was pained, but oddly calm given how they were moving. Unhallow was just resigned to the fact that they were going to have to explain this the hard way every time they fought someone for the first time. Hopefully the experience would make it obvious that it wasn't something they should try again.

“Unhallow, respond,” HaLOS said to its reinforce once again; for a moment there HaLOS was too busy looking up the traffic cameras in order to locate the sight of the accident that Unhallow report about. When its robotic system was back online, Lobisomen was nowhere to be seen. Had the wolf-creatures heed its warning and left?
The roar from that creature proven to not be the case; it seems that in a short moment of distraction, Lobisomen had taken off toward the street where Unhallow’s last signal were detected. Checking the video-fee from one of the camera near their location, HaLOS noticed Unhallow was stuck inside a small hole on the street, and desperately trying to get out by making the hole bigger while that Velocity super were close by.
“Unhallow, report immediately of your current condition,” HaLOS tried to contact them again, but receive no response. HaLOS could only assume that they had lost sight of Blue Jay in the commotion, and now currently being assaulted by Velocity. Looking around the vicinity, Blue Jay was still somewhat nearby, but not closed enough for Unhallow’s ability to take effect on him. Such a troublesome situation; HaLOS calculated the possibility of him getting away, and it is very high: almost 95%.
“Situation unavoidable; being out-number, and Unhallow isn’t efficient enough to slow the target down.”
Now it need to decide whether to at the very least catch up with Blue Jay and demand an explanation, or helping Unhallow to get out of the hole they have dug themselves in, literally.

The police were starting their own initiative. Attempting to, anyway: there seemed to be police cars on every street, every damn turn he tried to take, but they seemed to have about as much clue where the fight was happening as he did. In one way he couldn’t blame them. The battle seemed to be scattered, and no one was being particularly flashy with their powers. The wolf-super’s roar was probably the most notable thing that’d happened (seeing it was the one thing he’d known had happened). But for once, he wished the police were a little more on it. This would’ve been considerably easier if they were all focused around a single block or site of the battle. He kept having to quickly turn out of his current alley to avoid a parked white and blue car, keeping him from making a straight shot escape, and had to pick up the pace as sirens threatened to pass uncomfortably close to where he was. Before long, Blue Jay was running down the dark streets as quickly as he could, more concerned with avoiding the police than keeping track of where he was.
Before long, he was lost. Really lost, if the next street he was coming upon was anything to go by. His breath caught in his throat as he peeked his head out around the corner. This was a true testament to the continual string of failures that had been his last however many minutes; somehow, he’d managed to loop around in some kind of circle, so now he was behind and to the south of the two keepers he was trying to run from. Blue Jay quickly ducked back into the alley and pressed up against the wall (because that increased his sneaking skill by 50%). He was beginning to wonder if he should’ve just braved trying to sneak past the police.
After a deep breath to let the surprise settle, he took another careful survey of the scene not even a block down the street. Make that one keeper - the one he’d thought to be the robot was, in fact, another ally and fellow Bulwark of his: Velocity. Yet another Bulwark Blue Jay didn’t know personally, he’d none the less been interested in meeting the guy. He could (usually) move quite quickly, similar to Velocity, yet the other Bulwark seemed to be significantly better at not causing collateral damage. Blue Jay wanted to know his secret. The other was, without a doubt, one of the two keepers. Only they appeared to have fallen down a hole.
It was nice to know he wasn’t the only one karma seemed to have it out for today. They seemed to be in quite the predicament - in all the times Blue Jay had run into Unhallow, they’d never been particularly active. They’d always just kind of stood there, maybe walked slowly. That kind of threshold for physical activity did not appear to be lending itself well to climbing out of holes. Blue Jay wasn’t sure how long it’d be until the police did find them, but they weren’t that bad at their job; it couldn’t be too long.
One part of him said this was the perfect opportunity for him to leave. Unhallow was down, the robot was nowhere to be seen. But, he couldn’t just leave them there. Not when it meant they’d have to deal with the police, the surrounding civilians, and possibly other supers.
Blue Jay sighed and solidified his resolve. He really had to stop helping his enemies.

Unhallow continued clawing at the edge of the hole in an attempt to pull off enough asphalt to get out of that hole. Sadly, the parts that they were stuck on were deep enough down that the worst of their power wouldn't be hitting it. Even redirecting as much of the energy they generated down the hole it might take a minute for it to finally give way. Despite their panicked emotional state, Unhallow was still making sure to track Blue Jay. He was getting closer in the most round about way possible, but he was still making his way back here. Unhallow tried to signal HaLOS, but it looked like her power finally got the better of the little communication device. This was why Unhallow didn't like relying on delicate technology for anything. If something was going to be useful to them, it had to be able to take being thrown against the wall, then having a brick thrown against it repeatedly in order to survive tense situations like this.
Still reeling from Velocity's attack, Unhallow prepared for Blue Jay's arrival, only to sense movement from the creature and HaLOS. HaLOS hit her assailant, which they were grateful for, but the creature was quickly bounding towards them with their jaws wide open. Unhallow froze for a moment, then desperately started clawing at the edge of the hole again in a vain attempt to make it big enough to get out of. In that time, Blue Jay started approaching Unhallow as well. Why did everyone insist on getting into melee range of them despite their warnings? Did they want to die, or face serious injury? Blue Jay arrived first, and offered to try to help them out of the hole. Unhallow had never come so close to swearing in their entire life. What was wrong with these people? Velocity they could at least understand, he hadn't experienced the effects of Unhallow's power, but Blue Jay? He was there that night. He was there the night their power was unleashed, and their power was stronger now. He of all people should understand exactly how stupid this was. It was infuriating!
"What are you doing? Get away from me!" even with the voice modulator it was obvious how panicked and shrill their voice was right now. "Or at least call off your--"
Before they could finish the creature lunged at Unhallow. They couldn't run, they didn't know how to fight, so they just reflexively put up their arms in an attempt to at least protect their core. The creature bit down on their arms, hard. It only took a second before Unhallow felt their armor crack, and not much longer before they felt the broken bits of armor and the creature's teeth sink into their skin. There was a sickening crack as the creature started biting their arms in two. Unhallow screamed. It was a scream straight from their core, rather than a shrill one. Biting their lower lip and doing their best to hold back any tears, they moved their arms closer to their core. It was a risky move, but this thing was trying to kill them. Outright trying to kill them, there was no mistake about it. If they wanted to live, they had to hope that making it so the creature's snout started rapidly decaying would be enough to get rid of it because they weren't sure how much help they could count on in a situation like this.

Blue Jay flinched as Lobisomem made their attack. The noise - the sickening snap and Unhallow’s scream - sent chills up his back. There was no reason to attack Unhallow now. They seemed to be in enough trouble as was - Blue Jay hadn’t seen what had lead the wolf super to engage with the keeper, but he didn’t see the need to continue their efforts against them, let alone go after them with such fury. “Stop it!” He yelled, mostly at Lobisomem but it applied to the other members of the small collection of supers as well. “There’s no reason to fight anymore! The police are going to show up any minute here and unless we want to get shot at-”
His chest was pounding with adrenaline, which was not at all helped by the arrival of the robot. Please don’t attack me, he wished desperately, hoping the robot would see the logic in his statement and whatever reason they had for coming after him in the first place wasn’t worth fighting for now.
“Just take my goddamn-” Blue Jay gave up trying to convince them mid-sentence, opting for a sigh of exasperation in place of a complete thought, and decided to take matters into his own hands. Being this close to Unhallow, his jacket was fraying rapidly. The sleeve of his extended left arm was taking the brunt of it, and now the whole of his forearm was exposed, the material simply gone. He was too occupied to notice or care. Bending down deeper into the hole, Blue Jay skipped getting Unhallow’s approval for aid and looped his arm under their shoulder. He braced against the ground with his other arm and, putting all his remaining strength into it, attempted to pull them up.
“Help me out here, Unhallow!” He grunted.

Caught
Lobisomem let out a satisfied snarl as they pulled back and tried to crush the little bones in their grip, unheeding of the fact they were biting a human. The blood was as intoxicating as wine, the promise of the aching hunger leaving completely overriding a humane side of them.
Stop it!
They froze as both Blue Jay and Unhallow screams ripped through their skull, prompting their grip to falter. The horrible burning following it forced them to release instantly, slamming their rent open mouth with their paws, trying to counter pain with pain. Their fangs slipped out of their gums and they felt their scales and fur flacking off their head in the most agonizing way. Then they got a good look at Unhallow's condition.
No...no, no, nonono, that wasn't supposed to fucking happen!
They tumbled backward, hacking and spitting as they tried to get the blood out of their mouth, the hunger begging them to break the small morality that kept them from devouring Unhallow.
The whining sirens were barely heard by the panicked super, at least till the first shot rang out. They were lucky enough that the cops first response wasn't to shoot at their head, but at their body. Most of the bullets bounced off their scales, but a numbing pain rose over their body as one hit its mark.
A screech screamed it's way out of their body as they recoiled, having never been shot before. They took one last look at the mauled Unhallow and Blue Jay, who they had started this night trying to protect, and ran.
Monster, you tried to eat a human, monster!

Once HaLOS got to where Unhallow got trapped in the very hole that they probably brought upon themselves, as if adding insult to injury, there’s Blue Jay, rushing toward Unhallow. Either he’s a true idiot as the rumor said, or he believe Unhallow won’t focus their power on him. Despite that, he reached out to them, trying to help them get out of the whole before the police arrive. When Lobisomen sunk their teeth on Unhallow, they let out a loud scream of pain, and the dog got a taste of Unhallow’s raw power for their foolishness. It looked at Velocity; its sudden strike out of nowhere must have knocked him out for a moment.
Looking at the nearby traffic cameras, HaLOS can confirm Blue Jay’s statement about the police is coming was true. It looked at Blue Jay; find his actions rather strange for someone who’s a trouble-maker. Human sure are foolish creatures: they would try to help their fellow man even if it hurt them tremendously. With the police quickly approaching them, HaLOS need to get Unhallow out of this area before their power become wild and uncontrollable again because of the wolf’s bite. The last thing HaLOS need now is the downtown area got destroyed by a Keeper agent, and those higher-up will not let this slide.
“Move aside, Blue Jay,” it said to him, “lest you want to become dust yourself. This unit have many questions for you, but this isn’t a place or time to converse. Next time we meet, you better explain yourself or face further consequence.”
With that, HaLOS reached down to Unhallow and pulled them out of the hole with just one arm. Its sensory input can tell that their power is slowly affecting the metal body, rusting some of the inner part of the robotic form. HaLOS don’t care; it can always build a new robotic form, so it can easily carry them without worrying about their power hurting them.
“Unhallow,” it spoke to them, “your lack of contributing to the mission is insulting. Must bring you back to the Sanctum before your lack of control begins to affect the area with your power.”
