He had to suppress a sigh, the defeatism was going to stop her from making any progress. He tried to think back, had he ever been like that? It was hard to tell, he had been a child when he started his training. But he imagined yes, that he had. And he could understand where it came from, to a degree. It was hard to wrap your head around at first he imagined. And it wasn't something most people could just do on their first try. Feelings of awkwardness, expectations of failure, and no tangible change could make it seem silly, or a waste of time.
"Of course it's not going to stop it. It never works the first time."
He needed to stay patient, this was a test for himself as much as it was for them. Maybe more so. He was taking on a student, which meant that he needed to force himself to grow in new ways. He needed to find his weaknesses and turn them into strengths. Considering how profoundly uncomfortable this situation was he'd say this qualified.
"Now, sit down, breathe, and clear your mind."
He'd repeat the instruction again, trying very hard to keep the edge from creeping into his voice. That was his first goal, to not allow himself to get frustrated and angry. He could channel his hatred just fine. Now he needed to work on keeping it at bay, a tranquil pond that hid all movement.

Unhallow felt that bubble of anger rise once more. They balled their hands into fists, and once again briefly considered just taking out his arms before ultimately deciding against it. Their power wasn't for that, and they refused to hurt someone more than they had to because of anger. That wasn't something they'd broken yet, and they didn't intend to. It would completely defeat the purpose of trying to get it under control and trying to minimize the damage done in the mean time. They still didn't want to be that kind of person.
It didn't make the feelings of anger die down any though. It was so easy to say that if they just tried they'd be able to do something, as if they haven't been trying for the past six months since their power manifested. It was so easy to say that something could be done because of how most supers were, when Unhallow's power was so connected to their biology that the only way to stop it was quite literally to kill them. Nothing short of that would stop it, nothing short of that would get it under control. It was so frustrating for these people that knew nothing of them or their power to act like they suddenly have the cure to all their ails when Unhallow's own allies had been trying to figure something out with little success. No one expected a disabled person to be able to perform the same as an able bodied person, no one expected a person with one leg to be able to walk normally, no one expected someone with dyslexia to be able to read as fast as someone without it. Why was it always different for them? Why did people think that if they just did this or that, that their power would suddenly be totally okay? Well, it was obviously because they didn't know, but that didn't make it any less annoying.
"You didn't answer my question...request...whatever," unlike Gilgamesh, they weren't able to hide the edge in their voice.

"I will leave when I'm finished."
Again he had to fight to keep the edge out of his voice. It was frustrating that this person wasn't listening to him. Was this what he had to look forward to? He hoped Limen was more apt to listen than this person was. Though at least Limen had agreed to it. But this is why he didn't bother talking. Why were people so stupid. And stubborn.
"Now, sit down, breathe, and clear your mind."
He was starting to feel like a broken record but they hadn't done it yet. He'd just take another slow calming breath, trying to find the peace and zen of repeating himself. Much like a training mantra to hone determination. He could allow himself to fall into the rhythm of repetition. It was no different than practicing flowing from one move to another until it became second nature.

Unhallow remained standing for a good minute or two while they thought this over. His response was vague and didn't really address the issue at hand. That alone made them consider pushing harder, but at this point they were honestly just getting tired. The longer he stayed there, the more their power would run through him. It probably wouldn't even be that much longer before he started feeling the blood loss, there really wasn't time to argue like this as much as they wanted to. Anything that their senses touched would gradually decay, that was the simple inescapable truth behind their power. They could redirect very small percentages of it to make certain things happen faster, or to try to keep it from hitting certain targets as much as possible, but in the end, whatever made it so their senses let them see also decayed anything they touched. Walls, barriers, or any kind of solid matter made no difference in the speed at which this happened. In the end, it just meant that the smaller, weaker things would die the most quickly, which was why the first truly dangerous thing a person had to deal with around them was dealing with the inevitable blood loss.
Unhallow wordlessly sat down, folding their legs and putting their arms in their lap. They were still visibly tense and didn't show much progress with relaxing even after a bit of time passed. Even though they were still facing the wrong direction, they were still watching this guy closely. Unhallow didn't trust him in the slightest. Even so, they knew that they had to put some effort into doing what he wanted if they wanted to avoid a fight. It was difficult to push the current situation out of their mind. Any time they even came close to succeeding, the sudden movement of something, whether it be grass, or some involuntary movement from the intruder's gastro-intestinal track snapped them back immediately, often with a sudden twitch of the shoulders or arms.
It was just as well, Unhallow was still afraid. Afraid of what they might end up doing to this guy, afraid of what they might see if they weren't focused on something given what happened when they tried to sleep. If this person honestly thought he was helping then he was an idiot, plain and simple.

He waited while they stood, whether in defiance or uncertainty. Though everything in their body language screamed fear and uncertainty. Someone that should be overlooked. Put down. Easy prey. A Super that could be disposed of with ease. He'd be lying if he said it wasn't tempting to just try and snap their neck. But it felt like it would be like murdering a child. And that just wasn't something he could see himself doing. The weak and helpless had nothing to offer him in defeat.
When they finally sat down he'd continue to silently watch. Watching them as much as they were likely watching him. While he couldn't see into their intestinal tract, he could pick up minute movements, breathing patterns and the feeling of his own body as it continued to weaken and degrade just sitting here. Though that only made his determination burn brighter.
"You need to relax. Breathe deeper. I'm not planning to attack you. And I don't expect you to succeed. Right now I expect you to breathe.
Basics first. With this much trouble even getting this far they were nowhere near ready for anything to do with Chakra and inner energy to control their output and input. They were nowhere near drills for discipline. But they could breathe. He was positive that they could at least figure that out.

"I am breathing," Unhallow grumbled. "That's why I'm not dead."
This guy was starting to get pushier than the Bulwark, and Unhallow still didn't get why. They were not friends, he still didn't belong here and pretending to be friendly or useful wasn't going to change that. Given the nature of Unhallow's power, the only thing they could think about was that this guy wanted to be able to use it for something. It happened sometimes, they wouldn't be surprised to see it from Pandaemonium. That wouldn't work either. The only people they were willing to do anything for were the Keepers, but even they didn't get the full force of their power, if only because it would likely destroy anyone they worked with. No, the full force was reserved for dragons only.
The more they tried to clear their mind the more it wandered into conspiracy theories or trying to figure out what the heck was going on with this guy, with the two often overlapping. Despite that, their breathing was actually fairly even, though probably not as deep as the intruder was pushing for. There were a few deeper breaths, but they were more to hide the occasional sigh or irritated seethe. They had done this before, many times in fact, but they had given up on being able to use things like this when it really mattered. Relaxing in combat or tense situations required something a little faster that didn't leave them a sitting duck to attacks.

"Which is good, being dead would make focusing much harder."
He said with a small nod, ignoring the grumbling tone that she was using. It was a bit much, he could admit that. He continued to watch them in silence from his own position. Noting the evenness of their breathing, with the occasional faltering, though he had expected that as well. It was going to be a long path, but the ones that were worth walking often were. And he found himself curious as to what kind of progress this person could make, if they applied themselves. He didn't believe for an instant that they could have a power that was truly uncontrollable. And he suspected that deep down they didn't believe it either. He assumed if they did then they probably would have offed themselves rather than just destroy whatever was around them. Since they seemed the non violent type.
And destroying it was doing. Gilgamesh could feel waves of weakness hitting his body now as his skin was turning pale and ghastly white. The headaches were still pounding at his head but dizziness was also starting to swim about. Whatever this person was doing, it was pretty potent. He'd give them that.

Unhallow's nostrils flared in response, not that it could be seen through their helmet, but they didn't say anything further. They just continued sitting there doing nothing as requested. Their mind continued to wander, but other than that they weren't actually having any trouble sitting still. Unhallow never was particularly hyperactive, and a lot of their hobbies before developing this power required long periods of not moving anyway. It was obvious that their power was going to start doing serious damage soon, and that part was always unsettling. Typically, organ failure was the next thing to happen, with the lungs normally coming first given how fragile and how delicate their ability to function was. It was starting to get difficult to watch, and it's not like Unhallow could just look away.
"Are you going to leave any time soon, or are you just going to sit there until you die?"

"I'll leave before I die, but I have time still."
He said calmly, even as his body battled her power. A valiant battle to be sure. But one that would ultimately be of attrition. And should he simply stay here eventually his body would lose. Such was the nature of passive resistance. And the primary reason that aggressive resistance was his favored method. But today was special, this location was different, and the situation unique. He was being challenged by Fate and he would not turn his back on it. He would last as long as he lasted and then he would reflect on what transpired.
Whether the test was how his body handled their power or how his mind handled them was still to be seen. But all of it would be reflected on in time. He could be patient and wait it out. Worst case scenario is he got a metric to how well his body could function against similar powers, or find a way to defend his Chakra against it. He had faith that he'd sort out this test one way or another.
"You may call me Gilgamesh."
In case they were wondering what he went by. Though he somewhat doubted he'd get a name back in return. They seemed reluctant about everything with him being here. He didn't expect niceties just because he went first. So he would take that or leave it no matter what they did. But if he was going to sit there with them he felt it was only fair to give his name, at the very least. They had humored him thus far after all.

"You act like that will be possible if you wait too long. It will be difficult to move once your muscles have been turned to mush...or your blood vessels start exploding...or your lungs collapse...or..."
Unhallow's voice trailed off. While their voice started out as defiant as it had been for most of the night at the beginning, by the end of their statement is was barely even audible. This was why Unhallow always tried to end fights quickly. Death by their power was slow and generally quite painful for the victim even if Unhallow didn't do anything that would directly trigger nerves like most fighters. The victim's body just gradually died and their body would start rebelling against them like any person's dying body would. Unhallow's shoulders were starting to slump, and their breathing was gradually becoming less even.
"Don't make me watch this for another hour."

"That's my problem."
They did a lot of talking about what was going to happen to him. He didn't really see how that was their concern. It was his body to endanger as he saw fit. It was his choice to stay here. And if it really bothered them then they could be the one to leave. But of course that wasn't what was happening. Because they didn't care, otherwise this problem would be very easy for them to solve.
"Fine, I'll leave on one condition."
For now. He had no intention of staying away from this place. Maybe if they hadn't made such a big deal about him being here. But now he was curious, and there was always something about off limit places and things that drew him like a moth to a flame. Probably because he liked to prove that he could overcome everything. That he couldn't be held back or tied down. So no matter their answer, he'd be back.
"When I return in a week you show me the progress you've made in this and tell me why you believe I care about this."

Unhallow's nostrils flared again every time he spoke. Considering he was the one dying here, they didn't think he was in any position to be bargaining or demanding that they do something, but they listened anyway. Once again, they had no idea what was going on. They didn't want his 'help,' they just wanted him gone. How was this not clear? Based on his phrasing, he probably wouldn't bother to answer why he cared if they asked here, but if they were being honest they didn't care that much anyway.
"For someone that keeps talking about how things aren't my problem, you like to pretend that mine are yours. That's hardly a deal. The last thing I need is yet another person coming here to bother me when I'm trying to sleep. I don't care why you're here or what you want, and I don't see why I should. Why is it too much to ask to be left alone?"

"Then go. I'm not stopping you."
And he wasn't moving. He didn't care if they didn't want his deal. He didn't care if it upset them or they thought he was being mean or unfair. He was here because he wanted to soak in the energy of this place. To reflect and contrast. To test himself and find new paths in life. His goal was always to grow, as a warrior, as a person.
"I'm coming back here because I want to. I don't care if you aren't here."
And even her problems were simply a way to test himself. To see if he could help, if he could teach. To test his patience, his ability to guide and adapt. Maybe he was failing here? That thought gave him some pause, but he also didn't know another way to teach other than how his Master had done so. Much more violently. Though from what he'd seen of this person so far he didn't think they could handle those methods, effective though they may be. He'd also seen what happened to those that couldn't handle those methods.
The road to enlightenment was treacherous and lethal to those unprepared.

"The fact that you think I can just get up and leave shows how little you understand. Maybe you should actually understand the problem before you start asking me for progress on it."
Listening to this was embarrassing, and watching this was getting painful. So much effort went into managing their power and minimizing the effects, but that didn't change that they had to be conscious to do that. As long as they kept moving most of the effects were minimal as well, but once again, they couldn't exactly move in their sleep. There weren't any places in the city where they could stay for eight or more hours straight just to do something as simple as sleep. The city was crawling with people, even the less inhabited places around the docks still had enough that they couldn't afford to try to sleep there. Outside the city had a lot of trees, so even that wasn't an option. It may not hurt anyone, but it would only be a matter of time before their presence was discovered by the authorities and bad things happened there. HappyWorld really was the only place dead enough for them to sleep. The fact that it was close to backup was a nice perk.
And their power was getting bigger, stronger even. The effects on this man were worse than they were initially expecting in such a short period of time. Acting like breathing was going to counteract that was just stupid. It was getting stronger, and it probably wasn't going to stop based on how they'd observed other peoples' powers. It was scary. This person, no, no one would ever be able to understand just how much so.
