He let out a small grunt when this time the Brute did not charge headlong into the fray like a rampaging bull. But even a child could learn to not put his hand on the stove if burned. He would relax his stance when it became apparent that the brute was going to have him make the first move. Perhaps thinking he would be the one countering this time. Maybe, but maybe not. The size was an advantage, it gave him a good reach. That was true, but if you could get under that reach it left you with a lot of free room to work with. And in his current crouching position he was looking more like a regular sized opponent. Gilgamesh was sure he could make this work to his advantage.
At first he would be walking toward Titan, his speed consistent and measured. The rhythm predictable, his steps moving to an easy to pick up beat. Then, with a sudden burst of speed he zipped forward into a tumbling roll toward the giant. His hands planting themselves on the dock lifting his body upward and hopefully under and past his guard as his legs shot out in a donkey kick for the masked man's chin. Should that blow hit as well then he'd shift his body as it fell to send it whipping around and swinging full force for the man's ankles to send him back down again. He too had noticed the beating the dock had taken the first time the giant fell. And he thought that the giant could use a drink, a drink and a choice.
Keep fighting Gilgamesh or deal with the unconscious gangsters that would find themselves in the water with the broken dock. It would be fun to see where his priorities lay.

Titan decided to try to counter his opponent's next move. Perhaps beat him in his own game. Going from his attacks from before in the fight, this super neglected long, sustained assaults, preferring to simply wait for a suitable opening, before striking with impressive speed and force with a sudden burst of energy, not unlike a deadly cobra. Titan kept this in mind when he strolled towards the giant at a brisk pace. It was probably to throw him off. Just as expected, Titan's opponent interrupted his casual pacing with a sudden roll towards him. Thankfully, Titan was able brace for the sudden strike at his chin, and he took the blow to allow for an opening of his own. The super followed through his strike by spinning around and swinging a kick at Titan's leg, much like he did at the beginning of their fight. Due to his lowered stance, Titan managed to catch the leg with his right hand, before throwing his opponent in the air and hit him square in the chest with a strong punch.
But this advantage wouldn't last long, as the wooden structure began to creak underneath the combined weight of Titan, his opponent and the beaten gang members. The other super had anticipated this, and left Titan with a choice; press the assault and allow the gang to drown, or save them but allow the super to do whatever he pleased. For Titan, the right choice was obvious. Instead of attacking his opponent, Titan rushed towards the still-living, but unconscious gang members and scooped them up by the armful. Finally, the dock collapsed, sending Titan falling into the cold water. All he could do was brace for impact and hopefully stop the gang members from feeling the worst of it.

The blow to Gilgamesh's chest was powerful and sent him flying across the dock, landing on his side with a bounce before recovering with the second impact on the dock. The wood underneath the giant creaked in protest before finally giving in to the damage and strain put upon it. Gilgamesh watched as Titan opted to try and scoop up the fallen gang members rather than get out of the way of the collapsing dock and to press his own advantage against Gilgamesh, however brief it may have been.
Shaking his head in disappointment as the giant fell into the water below he let out a small sigh. It would seem that the first person to put up a fight against him was not worth his time after all. It was a shame. Perhaps he would be able to stop the group of gang members from drowning, or maybe he would drown himself trying to carry all of them. Either way Gilgamesh was done with this fight and would start walking away from the scene. Perhaps he could find something else tonight to test himself against.

Fortunately, Titan could swim. Making his way over to the nearest piece of solid land, he placed the gang members down before climbing up himself. Shrinking down from his previous height, Titan had to take a moment to catch his breath. It was after he cooled down and the adrenaline wore off did he start to feel the effect of the blows. Aching pains jabbed at his chest, neck and chin, which he rubbed at to no real effect. Titan growled in frustration as he looked back to where the once intact wooden pier was. Now all that was left were drifting pieces of wood. But there was no sign of the other super. He managed to get away. Dammit. At the very least, Titan was able to save most of the gang members before they were finished off. But he was sure that this wouldn't be the last time they would encounter each other...

Gilgamesh continued to walk away from the pier, his feet absently taking him toward where the Pandemonium Horde seemed to be set up. A den of wretched deeds and people. Ruled by chaos and the whims of the individual. But somewhere that he was free to act as he wished, at least a place where no one has stopped him from doing as he wished. No one seemed to be able to stop him, even the giant had only bought time, a useless gesture for defeated men. If you could even call those people men.
He scowled. It could have been so much better, if that man had only been less stupid. He should have followed up. He should have kept fighting. So he saved a bunch of criminals? So what? What did that accomplish? For all he knew Gilgamesh would be striking someone else right now. Someone innocent. The Masked Man had made a stupid choice, and it was a shame. Wasted potential, just like everyone else he came across seemed to be. People that lacked the resolve to go the distance when things got hard. To make the hard choices. Unless the Giant's goal was really to save criminals then he was an idiot. And next time he got in his way Gilgamesh would rip out his heart and crush it in his hand.
