When Limen opened the door at the top of the stairs, the floor most likely to contain said large painting and mounds of cash, the first thing she saw was a long, straight hallway lined with filing cabinets and doors. The first thing she heard was the shouting of three security guards. It seemed their entrance had not gone unnoticed (which was fine with her - it’d be boring otherwise). Limen quickly stepped out of the doorway and back into the stairwell as the three armed guards turned into the long hallway from a smaller, derivative hallway. They crouched down behind chairs, cabinets, and other chest-high cover.
“Guys with guns.” Limen called to the other two, pointing into the room.
She could wait for the two of them, come up with a plan to take these guys out or avoid them, but this was still a race. Limen poked her head in, getting a gauge for where the people where and the layout of the hallway. She waited in silence for several moments, back pressed to the doorway. Then, suddenly, she burst into the hallway at a sprint, ran past a single door, and dove into the closest derivative hallway. One of the security guards shouted something unintelligible at her and sounded as though he was going to give chase. Limen didn’t dally. She ran down the hallway, slowing only enough to grab and throw behind her a smoke bomb from her bag to cover her tracks.
Now she just needed to find the fanciest looking office.

Oh. Oh, she likes this one. Super? Maybe. But smart and not relying on her powers - and not destroying stuff? Acceptable. It makes Canary less likely to go off in a different direction, at any rate.
Peeking out after the other brunette dashes down the hall, Canary waits for the right moment to follow after when there's the familiar sound of something hissing as a gas is released. Her eyes widen, hands going to the straps beneath her jacket, but none of her creations had gone off. Instead, it was the other girl's device, and now the smoke was quickly filling up the hallway. Less chance of getting hit unless you ran into them, which she had no intention of doing. Besides, she was already better than most people she knew at hiding.
Laying a hand against the wall that she and the big guy were hidden by, Canary ducks low and follows the direction she'd seen their companion dart down, keeping low in case any of the guards thought they should get trigger happy. She brings out a device of her own, ready to throw it if she needed to.
Just in case.

This was getting annoying. As it turned out, there were armed guards inside. Titan almost rushed straight in before the first one into the room pointed it out to the rest of them. They were on edge, no doubt alerted by Titan's loud entrance. They must have attempted to signal the alarms before realizing that they didn't work, courtesy of this unlikely band of misfits. While Titan would have preferred to formulate some kind of plan to sneak past them (a challenging endeavor for a man his size) the other two suddenly darted off, drawing the attention of the guards. Their yells at the pair for them to stop went unanswered. Well, not exactly unanswered, as the ringleader tossed off a smoke grenade. Despite this, the guards were fairly reluctant to fire their weapons, which was fortunate. Titan didn't want to give them reason to actually use those guns, so he dashed after the two, using the smoke to conceal himself. So far so good. Fortunately, no one was getting hurt. Well, so far at least.

Big door, big door, ah, if that wasn’t a big door, she didn’t know what was. The trimming on the wall grew more intricate as she turned the corner - the first sign - and the decorations on the walls changed from framed art of mountains to plaques and pictures of previous CEOs. In the center of the hallway was a set of double doors made of heavy dark wood.
The other two weren’t far behind her, and the guards could probably guess this was where she was headed. She gave it only a few more minutes before systems came back online, and a few minutes after that for the police to arrive. She had until then to find the info, find an exit, and not get shot.
Basically, she’d better make this quick.
Limen pushed open the doors, revealing a large modern office that probably cost more to furnish than the yearly wage of an employee on the building’s ground floor. She went straight for the computer on the main desk. From her sweatshirt pocket she drew a flashdrive, which she shoved into one of the USB ports before booting up the computer. While she was waiting for that to do its work she began trying to drawers of the desk, throwing open any that were unlocked and quickly picking the ones that were not. She needed business ledgers, employee information; anything and everything related to money and fraud.
