Shane was standing by the entrance of the arcade he worked at, flipping a plastic game card between his fingers as if he were attempting a magic trick. This was sad even for him. No it wasn't the fact that it was his summer break and he wasn't at some gathering or that he was at this work place when he had the day off, nope it was the fact that this was the fourth time that week he had come here.
"I really gotta work on that getting a life thing...but eh it can wait til tomorrow."
With a shrug he headed in, who knows maybe there was a sucke- or uh someone he could attempt a little betting with. He glanced around the arcade in search of prey, not for money more just for enjoyment. Course even if it wasn't for money, he'd have to find someone new to play with, word kinda spread around quickly when you tricked people outta their money like Shane did...especially when you're not that good of a sport afterwards but it wasn't his their faults they were idiots, in his eyes at least.

"AND NEVER COME BACK!!" scream the tight build owner, throwing countless of candy at an already bolting teen. His face, although printed with heavy black ink, lit up until his swollen veins begin to squeeze out of his forehead, then storm back into his smokey store, forcing those inside to cough and wheeze out of the almost darkness place. Elijah, the pranker of his latest schemes, race pass everyone, mostly pushing them aside, as his legs takes him towards the opening of the food court of the massive size mall. Holding two already opened packs of long, but thin package of fireworks firmly in his grasp, Elijah's face holds nothing but utter both surprise and shock. "So THAT would happened if you mix fireworks with ink! Who knew?" he thought to himself, staring at his now dirty shirt and hands ink with...well, ink!
Thanks to summer break and time on his hands, it was a miracle that his father can let his overexcited son out into the world, spreading his sorrow of antics to everyone whom he loves; however, the love is only sided for the week. So for today, he thoughts races pass him that he never venture out towards the suppose 'adult free' dorm that was called the Mall, so hopping on the nearby bus stop and travel across town led him here, to which he wasn't disappointed-- this place is amazing! Being new to city life have its many incredible moment, and this one won't be the last. For that, it would be nice of he could celebrate it by buying a party fireworks and ink from two different shops and let it loose on some guy's store for the hell of it.
Now that his 'party' was complete to address others of his arrival, Elijah throw away his prank items, take a quick wash off in the boy's bathroom, and start exploring the Mall. Every shop that capture his attention always made his face push on window, but what really made him scream for excitement was the roaring sound of the familiar sound of a row of games blinking and yelling out WINNER when a person beat the game; the place is heaven to him now! Bolting pass everyone again, Elijah stare warmly at the row of games just waiting for him to be played. "WHAT?! THIS GAME MUST HAVE JUST CAME OUT!!" Elijah smile, grabbing hold of a beat'em arcade game.

It would've been impossible for Shane not to have noticed the kid run past him, he smelled a bit like burning almost like gunpowder...cept he was lacking the oil smell of gun, so it had to be fireworks. And of course he was yelling. He was excitable, knew his games, and most likely immature. A target literally just walked right into his store and Shane could not have planned it better himself. With a chuckle Shane wandered over the beat'em up and nodded in agreement with his statement.
"Yup just a few days ago in fact, recently added a few games to the place."
He was there when they moved in, and it was partially why he was still a little sore that week, but the game was good...he totally didn't attempt the high score while he was on the clock, nope that would be irresponsible and totally something he did. He chuckled a bit before rubbing the back of his head.
"Sorry if I spooked ya, name's Shane by the way."

Already Elijah starts to drooling over their amazing graphics that the game can conjure, staring blindly at the bright screen at the character line of heavy build fighters and their moves to show off against their enemies in the heat of the battles. This game speaks to him indefinitely on how those with powers can look awesome, beat people up that gets in their way, and still please the crowd with their muscle tone; of course, he can never have powers like those on the News, but he's still handsome than anyone else and he and everybody else knows it! Well, just him.
While his arms still wrap around the arcade game and eyes still lock into the game solidly, it was destiny (or maybe karma) when a someone approach, his skin turns cold at the sudden voice towards him, making him leap forward and bash his head into the screen, almost knocking him out in the process! Coming around back, Elijah hold his forehead as he spin towards the another company by his side, fury rage through his green eyes while the other person apologize in advance. Asshole. "Yeah. Whatever." he sigh, removing his hand from his face and turn back towards the game, examining any sign of even a simple crack on the screen. None, good. "Elijah. So it's your job to scare kids here?"

Shane withheld a snicker at first, having the done the same many times and not finding that hilarious...until he heard 'yeah whatever', oh he was going to be that way huh? Letting out said snicker and settling for a grin, Shane threw his hands behind his head.
"Boy do I wish, I'd make a killing compared to my usual wage I bet, besides I'm off the clock for now."
He tilted his head a bit to gain a better look at the screen and sighed in relief, least the machine wasn't damaged, he did not want to have to repair a new machine. Had had enough trouble with the old ones as is, didn't need new tech pissing him off.
"Any who I was looking to see if there was someone who'd be willing to make a wager or two, and for some crazy reason I choose the kid smelling strongly of gun powder and I think ink, who I hope wouldn't be up to something right?"
In all honesty Shane wouldn't have minded that much, considering he wouldn't be the one that'd have to clean up but if the kid was going to be an ass about it, he felt he may need to step in. He still had relaxed grin on his face in spite of the accusations he made.

Elijah knew that this person will already be infuriating from the very moment he made his head hit the screen, now hearing his snicker made it even worse, making the teen to spin around to witness his smug ugly grin from ear to ear. When Shane starts talking, Elijah surprisingly listen closely on his words, especially when he mention his "usual wage", propping the teen to imagine that this regular asshole store little money in his bank; too bad, he would be great to rob right now. Eyeing him as he move closer, Elijah duck and slide to the left a little bit for the much taller teen to scan the machine. Just as his legs was about to sway off somewhere else at the arcade, Shane's voice ring again, but this time capture Elijah's full attention as his face slowly frown and stare down at his shirt before he give a little smell to it. Yep, still clouded with coal scent. However, instead of running off like his previous choice, Elijah print a wide smile across his face and point to himself of his obvious crime, "Little ol' me?" His green eyes shift left and right to spy if anyone is nearby. "Pfft! Accusing someone is blackmailing, but I did hear you say...a wager or two..." Although his words didn't answer the question, the teen can't decline a money or two, especially if this guy can hold him hostage from his scheme.

"Yes little ol' you, I have not yet accused merely asked for confirmation that there will not be trouble."
More like little shit, but Shane kept that thought to himself, instead keeping a relaxed posture as usual to continue driving the kid insane. Nodding a bit to his repeated sentence, while pulling out his game card.
"That's what I said a wager or two over some games, you can pick em, and if you want they might even be friendly wagers."
Still not bothering to hide the challenging tone in his voice, Shane continued to push a button here and a button there. He figured this would end up with either the kid throttling him or taking his challenge....or maybe blowing up the arcade judging by his smell, and it was kinda scary how likely that possibility was.

Seriously, why expose yourself like this? Standing tall, without and care in the word with that ugly smile tape across his face, but also hold him down thinking he will cause trouble?! The pain of just watching him is like a mockery, and Elijah just don't know why it upset him; maybe it just a pet peeve. Either way, this creepy guy may just follow him throughout this entire Mall if he's not careful and maybe call the cops; however, a wager of this guy's cash and a fun little game wouldn't hurt to play once and while. Beside, if this guy tries something, he have a back up plan. "Alright, you're on! The prize shall be no less than $10, got it?" he spit out, turning his heels at the open games ringing about in the room. Even though the place store abundance of games, it just hard to choose just what to beat this guy on and a familiar game that he is certain he can cheat on...until a gem in a machine was standing mighty before his eyes! Elijah race towards the machine, bigger than his size, of course, and the spark of it seem like it was always soup up to perfection-- another beat'em up, but he knew this game far too well thanks to the package of this title. "How 'bout this one?" Elijah smile, patting the game with a soft palm.

"$20 on the table, got it."
There was no hesitation in the instant doubling of his minimum requirement. Producing said bill with a flick of the wrist, to show that there was no bluff, before shoving it back into his pocket while following the little ticked off teen. Best game in the whole arcade and it wasn't even electronic. He had to laugh once more at his mental hilarity before focusing on what the punk had chosen as their first game. He recognized the beat 'em up, had to work on it to keep it as fresh as it appeared and also keep the high scores kid friendly. With a grin he answered his question.
"It's your potential loss my friend."

Shifting his glaze at Shane, his eyes almost bust out when the suddenly voice ring about the new amount: $20! The beautiful scent of fresh slash of money was just enough for the young teen to drool at the counting bills before he made them all disappear like a magician. Maybe this guy's ego or just plain stupid thinking that he could win is now sad and Elijah soon start to pity him at this point; however, that remorse quickly disappear as well when the older teen agree on his choice of game and his bitter remark. "So...it's going to be like this, heh?" he thought to himself, twitching his right eye in frustration. Sooner or later this guy will give him a perfect chance to just punch him in the throat! "And your loss will be your ego..."

Shane had a smirk, the eye twitching might as well have been a billboard screaming how pissed the kid was. Next bet would have to be on whether or not he got himself a black eye or broken bone.
"Impossible to lose that which you lack, like your sense of humor apparently."
He normally would not push his buttons this fiercely, buuuuut that eye bulge meant the twenty dollars got his attention. Maybe he should've done forty dollars, that could've been even funnier. Just had to not lose, otherwise he was ninety percent the kid would NOT let him live it down.
"Anywho how would you like to settle this, whoever gets the higher score with one life?"

"Remove that STUPID smirk, please!" Elijah thought to himself, not noticing his still twitching eyes until he saw it in the eyes of Shane, letting a small dip of his own head and stare down on top the floor embarrassed. Times like this is a the prime reason why he hate dealing with others, especially those that tease him for his lack of correct words and actions; his mind quickly clouded with guilt, but it more about not giving in with this guy and his ways to bring him down. Just as his mouth open up for new words to escape, Shane's words quickly made a shock appear on his face, leaving a foul taste in his mouth, but instead leave a smug and a small laughter chuckling down his throat. Another set of words made the teen lift his head, still holding the grin on his face with proud. "Yeah. Let's play."

Shane kept track of some of the reactions, gauging each one in an attempt to know when he would push Elijah into punching the shit out of the tall person annoying him. Well it appeared he had some pride, and was going to make Shane eat those words, well long as he didn't do it physically he was happy to oblige, with a bow and swipe of his game card the game started up.
"You got the first go my friend, don't make it too easy."
One last jab at him just to throw him off his game, course the likelihood of Shane being jabbed was also increasing with increasing with each one. But Shane was a jabberjaw so it kinda made sense. He snickered a bit at that, JABberjaw, classic.

"You got the first go my friend, don't make it too easy."
Was that a joke? If it is, well he isn't laughing. Elijah just stare at the taller idiot trying to ease his way for him to just knock him out and take whatever he have in his pockets just for kicks. Whatever that Shane have up his sleeves, it was starting to grow and work on the kid for a suppose 'fair' game with his danger mocking tone because Elijah's face soon begin to brighten up red and sour at just about anything! With a swipe of his card and the start up of the game, Elijah almost push the guy away from the screen as he begin to play. His eyes keeps darting back from his foe in and out of the game, but he balance his anger and cool, ready to relax as his fingers mash buttons to make his character to punch, kick, and uppercut, as well as perform special moves he practiced on. His mind fade the enemy character face as Shane, smiling at every punch the poor guy receive; the timing and moment couldn't be any better! After a while, sadly the enemy draw their final punch at Elijah's fighter to proclaim his victory. "D*** it...", he whisper as he type his initials into the leader-board as EBF with scores of 86280. He turns sideways, gaping a smug grin along his face at Shane. "Alright, your turn man."
OCC: Lord, please forgive me of this very late reply! I hope we're still doing this thread, but I like it!
