"Well, that was certainly interesting," Geata said as Anonymous walked away. He quickly closed the distance between himself and Azoth, still less than certain that everything was actually over. It seemed too simple. Once he was there, he put his arm protectively over her shoulders, as though to prove a point. It wasn't that he wasn't being protective of his friend; he was being smart. She had past experience with dealing with the faceless creep, so she was the more likely to know what she was doing. If he tried getting involved, it was likely that he'd make the situation worse. Best to leave delicate matters to the professionals, after all.
He looked down at Azoth and gave her a half smile. Judging by what she had said, she probably wasn't all too sure if she had done the right thing. Geata decided to keep to himself that he was willing to bet that shooting Anon wouldn't have done much, and instead tried to think of something to try and make it easier on her. "You did the right thing, kiddo," he said warmly before his eyes went dark. "Besides, if he breaks his end of the bargain or tries to hurt you, don't worry. I'll kill him myself. There's only so much value in a person who would do that anyway."
His expression brightened somewhat as he looked around the room, although not by much. "Now, I'd say we've got quite a bit to discuss, but that can wait. For now, what should we do about the mess he left? Should we care, or should we just make our exit?"

Anonymous underestimated her knowledge of correct dosages. Yes, toxins such as sarin could kill, but only after a certain amount is ingested. If she did not know that amount, she would not be doing her job correctly.
But it hardly mattered. Azoth would not take Anonymous’s request of death, now and in the future. She needed only grit her teeth until Anonymous had said his last and departed, keeping to his bargain as he said he would, and she could let out a sigh of relief.
That relief hit her harder than she thought it would. Azoth had to catch herself from falling as her knees began to shake, along with the rest of her body. She felt like she was going to vomit. She let out a second shuddering gasp as the last of Anonymous’s parting laugh faded. It was probably Geata’s arm alone that kept her from collapsing then.
Azoth swallowed and tried to rein in her voice. Her eyes stared straight ahead, at the bloody mess Anonymous had left behind. “You should not kill another super for my sake, Geata.” she breathed. “I have given my reason already. But… thank you.”
She straightened her posture, took another few deep breaths, and surveyed the factory again. “We can leave them. The police will find them eventually, but it does not matter much if they knew we were here. We should depart.”
She was very ready to leave. She ached to be home, sleeping or returning to her studies. Anything to take her mind off of here. But, Azoth hesitated. Turning to look up at Geata, she pulled down her face scarf and gave him a slight smile.
“Geata, thank you. I knew I was correct in trusting you.”
She let her scarf hang loose around her neck. It was over now; Geata had not abandoned her, and Anonymous was gone. Azoth tried not to think about how she now owed Anonymous three favors.
