With the thralls finally leaved, Anonymous turned around only to see Azoth is unconscious from whatever hell she got herself in. Before he could do anything, a lady decided to appear and gave her a piggyback ride on her shoulder, saying something about getting off the ground now. As soon as she does, Anonymous can feel the rumbling coming from the ground below. The lady then takes the unconscious Azoth up on the roof with her using her grappling hook.
“Well, guess I’ll have to catch up later then.”
Looking back out in the street, he can finally see the source of the rumbling as a stampede of spikes protruding out of the concrete pavement heading toward him. Seeing how high those spikes managed to get to, Anonymous have a crazy little idea. As soon as the spikes are closing in on his position, he got himself ready to jump on one of them. If he can hop around the spikes, using them as leverage to parkour himself up on the rooftop, then he can observe the origin of these spikes from the roof.
So once he saw a spike protruding out of the street right in front of him, he hopped onto the spike and grab hold onto it tightly. The force of the spike threw him up high above the rooftop, taking his cue to jump over to another spike and carefully hop onto the rooftop. One of the spike did managed to get a hit at his hand, piercing through his palm like butter. Once he got himself up on the rooftop, his wounds started to heal.
“Urg, that’s gonna sting in the morning.” He said as he looked over at the spikes, “Well dragon, surprise me like that last one did. Let’s me see what you’re planning to do.”

Gluttony, despite himself, grinned a genuine smile of humor at Wrath's threat. He knew full well that she wouldn't dare, nor did she really have any intentions to. She could try and be intimidating all she wanted, but it was an empty threat and they both knew it. Pride's comments barely merited any attention, though, and the insults dismissed. What was considerably more concerning was the warning to get off the ground. Lust screamed, too, but judging by the tone of it, she was likely still alive. Trusting that Envy was with her and the two heard the warning themselves, Gluttony quickly ascended the efforts of Arcanum.
Once out of harm's way, he looked over the emerging spikes and waited. If the dragon wanted them up off the ground, it succeeded. He wondered if that really was it's intentions, though, and if so, why. The best idea for now was to wait and see, but that was also giving the dragon time to prepare it's next moves. Still, if he were to go down there on his own, Gluttony likely wouldn't have support. It was a suicide mission, and he had no intentions of dying to a creature that didn't even want to fight his own battles.

Once the armored thralls got rooted onto the rooftop, Giza found a good enough opening to get through the hoard. Building a large bridge made out of the rubble below him, Giza finally managed to get to where Aurora was, following the spreading of the lit-up sky above her location. It seems that another Pandaemonium member has managed to get to her place first and started to heal her. He rushed to their spot in quicken pace:
“Miss Aurora, I’m so sorry for not being here in time. Those armored thralls were blocking my path.”
He then turned to Balance, who was coughing up a storm at the moment, probably as a result of using her power to fix up Aurora. From the look of her face, it’s seems that Aurora might have gave her a punch on the face. He greeted her with a slight bow:
“Thank you for helping her, Balance. Here, this might help you patch yourself up, and any other Pandaemonium members that you might come across.”
He pulled out a small first-aid kit and handed it to her. Even if Balance can heal herself with her power, this could at least help speeding up her healing factor. After all, he doesn’t believe the dragon is finished with its attack. If there’s one thing he learned from the last dragon, then the only way to make sure it doesn’t attack again is to actually kill it. The dragon has a hell to pay for hurting Aurora like this.

Tricky was ticked, through the throttling of the truck trying to traverse the treacherous trench to the telltale tinkling true to traveled-through glass. Truly, the technological terror tried to take tears and turn them to cheers, but tis a tricky task to try. He was content to sulk, and to watch the ropes wrap around the truck. He even grabbed one and intercepted its course to be a seat belt for him. Other than that, he just kept his head down. There was a light buzzing noise coming from him, electricity of sorts changing the direction of their currents. He was in a semi aware sort of trance or state.

As a light drizzle began to fall on the city, it became clear that the dragon was not going to make the first move. The more time passed, the more it would work to the dragon's advantage. Its influence was still seeping into the city, which meant that the only option left was to go in search of its main body. In one sense, the dragon was an exceptionally large one. Roots were hidden through the entire city, winding through sewer pipes and air ducts. Blooming nodules on those roots produced the spores that had been used to create the dragon's thralls. Those spores were now being used to corrupt the buildings themselves. Windows were sealing up, rooftops were growing spikes of their own, and the downtown cityscape was generally looking increasingly hazardous to risk traveling over. But the supers would have to take that risk. The skyscrapers in the very center of the city showed the strongest signs of the dragon's influence. The metal girders were twisting and sprouting flowers of their own, the windows were covered in spiraling black patterns, and especially dense clouds of spores seemed to be rising from floor to floor. Of the skyscrapers downtown, three stood out. The Gunstig Center was especially full of vine-like structures, so many that they were clearly visible through the windows. The Horizons building appeared to be the one most twisted by the dragon's power, and it was close to the epicenter of the spikes as well. The Shiro Tower was locked up tight, with the dragon going so far as to meld its lower-story doors and windows into the walls. In another sense, the dragon was an especially small one. Its main body was barely taller than a person. The supers would need to go inside to find it, as the structures surrounding it had been infused with the dragon's living power and would be especially difficult to destroy. The surviving thralls were ready to fight off any incursion, and the dragon would seal off passages and raise walls of thorns to protect itself. But even so, the supers might still be able to catch a glimpse of its main body nestled in the tunnels of an old waterway. Down below, the dragon waited...

Plague Doctor could only watch with his former teammate as the dragon spread its influence across the city. It hit him suddenly. "Blue Jay, you need to get out of here. The other supers need you more than me. I'll see you if we make it out of this." He said and threw himself off the smaller building.
His first thoughts, were the following. "I'm going to save the city. Even if I die doing it." His next thoughts, were a combination of "THIS IS CRAZY!" And a subconscious signal to his bladder to evacuate. Surprisingly, he managed to hit an area of the ground that was lacking in spikes. He knew it wouldn't last long however, so he quickly went to work.
Spreading his sphere of influence once again over the city block, he realized that his bacteria would be useless. So virus again for the 80th time today. He aimed it at the smaller buildings, knowing that he'd be far too weak to take on the towers. If this didn't work, this was going to suck.

Post by Big Martin on Oct 11, 2016 18:36:59 GMT -7
Other than the rain, nothing much seemed to be happening. A few of Big Martin's cats sniffed and licked at drops that fell near them, and confirmed that they were not acid or tiny monsters or anything of the sort. Frowning, Big Martin looked out across the cityscape, considering his next move.
"Seems this thing really is a scaredy-cat. We're going to need to take it on ourselves." His cats wouldn't be able to maneuver well underground, where the tight spaces would restrict their movements, but they might stand a chance inside some of the taller buildings, where they could flood multiple floors. "All right, let's head thataways. Those vines look weak, maybe we can take some down."
Moving through buildings and across the lower rooftops, staying away from street level as much as they could, the cats proceeded towards the Gunstig center. With their agility and cooperation, they'd make quick progress towards the building, and would soon force their way inside it, tearing apart any thralls they found along the way. The army was large enough to be seen quite clearly, so other supers would immediately be able to tell that Big Martin was on the attack again.
Once they reached the building? It would be the usual strategy: cats everywhere, piling all over the vines and whatever else looked suspicious, locking down the area with their seemingly endless numbers. Big Martin would claim the building himself, and use it as a springboard to take down the true source of the thread.

Post by Sin Eater on Oct 11, 2016 18:42:09 GMT -7
Sin Eater was suddenly disoriented as Geata took her from the isolated rooftop and brought her to the gathering of other supers. She had just been in the process of deciding which building she wanted to explore first. Now she had to start over again from somewhere completely different.
"Next time you need to be healed, just ask me." Sin Eater's tone was distracted. She absorbed the worst of Geata's wounds and the effects everyone was feeling from their proximity to Unhallow. Hopefully that would be enough to get them to stop bothering her for a little while.
"But if you 'rescue' me like that again when I'm in the middle of something, I'll kill you."
She set off again, limping from the accumulated injuries. The top priority right now was figuring out what else this dragon could do. And so she went off in search of the dragon's remaining forces.

Post by Lobisomem on Oct 11, 2016 19:16:29 GMT -7
Lobisomem peeled their lips back, roaring bloody murder as they squinted through the rain. "Come...out!" They barked as if it would do anything.
Their eyes rolled down to see spikes forming on the skyscraper they wrapped around, starting to prick through their thick scales and skin. They groaned in discomfort and leaned away, twisting their head around to search for a place to jump.
They didn't get a chance to plan anything before the increasing pain became unbearable and they pushed off, plummeting straight for a twisting skyscraper. In a last-ditch effort, they shrunk into a humanoid form, keeping their scales formed to absorb the smashed glass. A harsh whimper split the air as glass sunk into their back, twisting around to tear off the invading shards.
They struggled to keep their mouth shut, back arching as they gained claws and fangs, knees twisting backwards into an animalistic crouch. Their eyes locked onto the source of the spores, a sort of flower that just begged to be fucking destroyed!
If the dragon stopped paying attention for even a second, the strike would be already over. Lobisomem lashed forward, grunting as they swung their claws to uproot the spore source and rushed back out, breath still held.

Bloodbath waited a ridiculous amount of time before deciding nothing was going to meet him first. His lips pursed in irritation as he swung himself up rooftops and around twisted metal. As he traveled, he looked down at the pursuing thralls, most were injured.
Well, he could always use more blood.
He waited till they entered his range, instinctively sensing their entry. He pulled his arms inward, hoping for more of that Mutant blood to join his stream.

“Uh... Shep.”
“Agent Brooklyn! Address our officer in the proper fashion!” Barked Agent Delaware.
“Ok, so, Good Shepherd... sir. We’ve got a problem.”
The Good Shepherd was looking through his binoculars at the evacuation efforts. He sighed and put them down. He didn’t want to turn around. He knew what would happen if he turned around but he did it anyway... but let out “Plants right?” before he did.
He’d seen them spreading and now the Shiro tower was no different. He’d seen it getting locked up but there hadn’t been anything they could do. Still, they waited until the last second due to the vantage points it offered. Brooklyn’s heavy machine gun sounded off as a few curious vines got too close.
“Delaware- get the ziplines ready. We are going to need a fast escape root.” The Good Shepherd barked as he packed up his equipment in a briefcase.
“Roger.” She said and set to work securing them a zip line to the next building with an attachment to her rifle.
“You first Brooklyn!” Delaware shouted and the big ex-marine slung his heavy machine gun and nodded. He ran, grabbed onto the line with a clip and made it safely to the next building. The gap was huge and even with training it was intimidating. He landed hard, rolled, and brought his gun up to secure the area.
Delaware was next. As she zip-lined she looked back. “SIR! There’s a woman one floor below you. I can see her though the window! North east corner. She looks like she had a gas mask! You have to get her.”
In his mask the Good Shepherd grimaced. He hated playing hero. He got a small shape charge and blew a hole in the roof, dropping in to the floor before. Plants writhed around,
“Feed me Seymour...” He muttered to himself. The woman was screaming in something resembling a fireman’s gasmask. No sign of the fireman. Bad news for him. The Shepherd waved his arms towards the girl and she finally came out- with a lot of coaxing. He boosted her up to the roof- it was sloped from the charge and weight of the plants.
He followed her up, his gun blazing at the vines, cutting them down with semi-automatic fire. A tendrel grabbed him and he wrestled it off- something corrosive coating his paramilitary armor. He ran, grabbing the woman around the waist and clipping onto the zipline in midair. He held onto her tight- grabbing her around the belt. It was rough ride but they made it.
Once they got there Brooklyn nodded to him and escorted the girl to the top of a water tower and cracked a rescue flare. With luck- she’d be rescued. Without it... she’d be dead. Just then the zipline fell as the plants overran where they had just been not 20 seconds before. No escape now...
The group now looked at Shiro Tower from the outside, examining it. “Brooklyn, see how fast it regenerates at the top vs the bottom. We need data and we need it now!” Shepherd said, pulling the vine’s remnants off him. He passed it to Agent Delaware- she used a field kit to do some basic tests. With luck it could tell her how close or far he was from the source of the plant. New growth would indicate it. He wasn’t a scientist but she was top of her class in forensics- one of the reason he’d chosen her. For his part he observed the knotted up building, searching for some clue that might solve this puzzle for them.
“Rein- we’ve abandoned Shiro Tower. It was a good vantage point but it is overrun. Anyone having success pinpointing its heart?”

Fleet had started pacing restlessly, twirling his knife like a performer as he waited for something draconian to stab. Finally, he huffed in annoyance and made a wild leap to the ground, curling to avoid the many, many spikes decorating the streets.
Immediately, he was off. If this dragon wasn't going to find them, Fleet would find it first! Lightning started to flash as he darted to and fro, anger bubbling in his childish chest. In his rising recklessness, he nearly missed running right into a spore patch.
He quickly retreated, sucking in tiny breaths as he raised a hand to prompt the suffocating space, hopefully this thing needed to breath!

Post by Limen on Oct 11, 2016 20:08:00 GMT -7
Limen’s eyes grew wide. In part of fear, that she’d gone and gotten in over her head with a super and their powers. During a dragon attack, of all times, like there wasn’t already a demon plant monster out to kill them all. Because damn, that was not a normal kiss. Not that she was expecting ‘usual kisses’ from someone like Lust, but somewhere in the pure rush of joy and adrenaline, the small part of her brain, the one that was the only reason she was still alive on several accounts, that remained tied to what was normal said this was very much not. This was dangerous and had blatant ties to Lust’s powers and Limen had no defenses against it, and that it felt so good, and that she didn’t want to think of this as a potential problem was precisely what the potential problem was.
But half of it was the shocked recollection of a feeling, a wonderful feeling, she hadn’t had in a long while. Limen didn’t kiss people. She hadn’t done that since high school, when stealing kisses from girls was an act of defiance, and from boys an act of power. It had been just a thing one did and a means to another end. She’d only had two in the years since then; one shared, one taken. Then, the panic subsided into the thick sense of serenity, and for a moment it felt like there was no battle, or threat of death to her and her friends. She was swept up by the woman with the silky blue hair, something Limen had thought stunning when she’d first met the Pandaemonium, but now seemed like it could give the sky itself a run for its money. As Lust pulled away and Limen’s good senses and muscles, both of which had been all but limp, were given a chance to catch up, she realized something. That was the second kiss she had actually enjoyed.
Limen pulled herself up to a crouch and then swing up to her feet. She was grinning wide to teeth, and she felt beyond rejuvenated. Couldn’t’ve been better, had anyone asked.
“I’m amazing?” Limen hummed. “You do yourself an injustice-”
A third voice cut hers off abruptly. Limen turned to find a woman she’d never met, but whom clearly knew Lust. What this woman had seen, and saw in Lust, Limen saw clearly in her eyes. Fuck. What had she been dragged into?
She knew the answer to that in regards to the city, at least. Limen was crazy enough to still be here, out on the battlefield, rather than fleeing with all the people with healthier senses of self preservation. Limen was not going to let her city be refurbished by a plant with no taste (that was her job, damn it), and she was going to will her poor decisions into good ones. Right now she certainly felt like she could.
Limen picked up her bow from the ground and strode towards the burst window, stepping up office debris and chairs, and drawing and stringing an arrow as she went. To the green-haired woman, she gave a determined grin, a welcome to come join her in fighting from up atop the desks of the people they were protecting. Whether that meant anything to her or not. “Can’t die yet.” She nodded with her head to the twisting buildings. “We’ve gotta kill this thing, yeah?”
She paused only to give Lust a nod, of thanks. Like this, she felt like she really could take on this dragon. She took aim at the one that looked most explodable in that vines looked like they actually could be exploded. Locating points where the vines were thinned, weakened, or perhaps slowed from growing by the surrounding structure with her left eye, Limen memorized the spot, found it again with her right, and, after making sure no supers were in the way, shot. She unloaded arrows as quickly as she could aim and fire; distance slowed down the process, but with any luck the explosion upon arrival would make up the difference.
