Ophiuchus smiled as the building toppled over like dominoes. However, the dragon wasn't giving up as a low humming reverberated through the ground and the buildings seemed to come alive. He refused to give up, though, and he picked up a large hunk of rubble and charged at another building, using the bit of debris as a battering ram.

With a flash and a crack, Bearfucker unleashed its fury upon the thralls, blasting aside their front line even as Rainfall, without pausing to reload, fired twice more, advancing steadily as she did. Their forces reeled, and she whirled around, unleashing another hail of bullets behind her, shredding the gaunt creature that had been about to puke a mouthful of vile liquid her way. A few more blasts, and the thralls were fleeing, retreating down the tunnels to who-knew-where.
Rainfall followed.
Even on wet stone and in rivers of sewage, she trod quietly. Thralls tried to regroup and recover, and she switched her torch on and opened fire again, killing many and dispersing the rest. They'd been built as shock troops and hunters, and were effective enough in their roles- but against a true predator, there was little they could do but flee and die.
She chased them through the sewers and into a series of tunnels, some kind of underground network she hadn't been aware of until now. Whatever it was, it certainly smelled better than the literal shithole she'd crawled out of. She took a few deep breaths, relishing the musty but relatively clean air, before loping onward, pursuing her remaining targets.
It had become less of a hunt, however, and more of an investigation. Using her head-torch to illuminate the tunnels around her, Rainfall crept into wider and wider spaces, finding large pipes and what looked like concrete, plumbing and structural foundations for something big up above. She couldn't tell for sure, but she had a good sense of direction, and based on where she'd entered, she could place herself somewhere near the Shiro tower.
The skyscrapers had seemed like a diversion to her, big targets meant to distract from the real thing. Still, now that she was here...
She stepped back, getting well away from the foundations, and fired.
Buildings were a lot tougher than bears, but Rainfall's power gave her shotgun that extra kick it needed. Against humans, she usually held back, making her shots less lethal, but now she did the opposite, and finally went all-out. Bullets sped up to several times their natural speed as they left the Bearfucker's barrels, slamming into the wall again and again as she unleashed round after round into the Shiro Tower's foundations, her bullets cracking and shattering hardened concrete with the sheer force of their impacts.

The fire ring that Giza threw at the building got put out almost instantly, so at least he now understood these vines aren’t flammable. While he was trying to come up a way to go around that issue, he heard Aurora talking to him down in her location. It’s seems that the dragon’s thralls were pouring out from the Shiro Tower on mass; if they can deal with the Tower, they can actually lowering the thralls to deal with in order to get closer to the dragon.
“Roger that.” He shouted to her.
It is quite a nice feeling; he’s finally helping her doing something together, perhaps even making a different to the situation. This will be the very first time both of them ever targeted the same target together with their power. He will make sure not to screw this moment up, because this action alone will set him apart from any other of his rival toward her attention.
Since fire were proven to be unaffected toward those vines crawling around the building, he thought up another idea. Fire isn’t the only thing that is harmful to plant, they’re also quite vulnerable to the icy cold of winter as well. Using the similar method as before, Giza gathered enough water from the air in order to form a giant sphere of water, much bigger than the last one. Focusing his aim at one of the main root, he shifted the spherical shape into a long dagger-like spear and threw it straight at the roots. As soon as the spear pierced through the root, the water will start to super-freeze from that point all the way up to the other vines, spreading in a terrifying speed. This process would help Aurora cutting these vines easier from how fragile the frozen roots become.

After a sweep through the walking thralls that HaLOS taken down with its blade, more of them show up, apparently coming from the Shiro Tower. Its effort on thinning out the thralls has met with quite a complication; at the matter of fact, it feels like the thralls are simply there as a distraction of sort. If that were the case, then HaLOS need to switch its target if it wants to actually deal with the dragon rather than doing nothing with its method.
“Recalculating for better strategy; scanning area for a target worthy of attention.”
Perhaps it has observed at this issue in a wrong perspective; dealing with these thralls is pointless since the dragon can just make more of them. The best way to deal a full blow to the thralls is to target its source: the spores itself. With that in mind, HaLOS scanned through the city in order to locate any super who might have found the source of the spores. Once it found the spore generator location, HaLOS get itself ready to make a full-front attack on it.
Putting the four plasma blade away, HaLOS switched to a different type of weapons in its arsenal: a set of flamethrowers. Even if the vines aren’t flammable, seeing how one of the Pandaemonium’s attempts on setting them on fire fail, it can perhaps burned out the spores coming out of the generator. So as soon as HaLOS got closer to the spore generator, it let loose a huge fireball from both of its flamethrowers straight into the thing itself, trying to burn away the spore and deal as much damage to the generator as possible.

“Well, this is quite unexpected.” Anonymous thought to himself.
When he decided to threw the volatile chemical inside the Horizons Building, he was expecting more of those thralls coming out. What he didn’t expect was a thought that isn’t belonging to the thralls or any supers close by. There’s only one possible solution to this conundrum: he managed to stumble onto the dragon, or at least the dragon’s brain, by accident. To think all he choose this building because it’s the closest building to his location that shown the sign of those vines more than the other smaller building.
He’s still unable to fully listen to the dragon’s thought, so it must lie somewhere below the ground near the Horizons Building. Of course, the only way for him to get a full latch onto its thought is to actually got closer to it, meaning he has to went inside to remove those concrete layers between him and the brain. Even though he has a mean to defend himself against attack, getting inside the building without a plan is simply suicidal, especially when he doesn’t know how far the dragon have taken control of the building.
Since the last method has proven quite useful, there’s isn’t much that Anonymous can do other than this. If his theory is corrected, then those vines crawling all over the building in downtown might actually a part of the dragon. Meaning any damage that the vines substain from the super’s dealing with them, then the dragon might probably feeling the pain from them. Maybe that’s how the dragon were able to control those vines, similar to how an octopus’ tentacle have a mind of its own.
There’s only one way to test this out; using the volatile gas that he threw into the Horizons place, Anonymous raised his cane up and started to focus his mental power straight into the building. He might be able to decrease the dragon’s pain threshold, giving any suffering it have on any of the vines thousand time worst than before. The dragon might not pay much attention to this increase in pain, but at least this will help him getting further understanding on how this dragon work.

Phenomenon had driven up the pathway, because although it was slippery it was also navigable and safer than the alternative. It seemed best to just close in on the spore generators and launch a mental assault on it, but it had no effect. And they also released a cloud of spores, the sight of which drove him to accelerate away from the threat. Now, seeing as obviously that was not the most intelligent target, he moved on to Shiro Tower. The dragon was too hard to fight by beating all of its components at once. They were designed to last an assault like that. The supers needed to gang up on the weaker parts, and the tower that the death truck had pulled up to was even missing chunks out of it. Probably best to go after this one, then. Phenomenon cranked up his radio while his turret turned to face the tower, glowing once more. It had to build up more pressure than last time, because the ink that now filled it was quite viscous, but after a couple moments of pressurizing it let out a large, fast, flaming glob toward the tower's center. It was half of the ink he had in the turret overall, and had became a large fireball with a more readily spreading nature. Hopefully, this would at least burn up some of the structure.

From their vantage points the Agents of L.O.V.E provided some blanket covering fire and harrying shots directed at the elite troops that had been sent after them. The bullets ricocheted off quite harmlessly and across their com channel Shep could heard Brooklyn cursing under his breath. They team, perused by the elites, evacuated themselves from the rooftop- using a nearby fire escape from the shorter structure near the Shiro Building. The jumped, skipping levels as they went. Their breath came heavy and their muscles ached. They were silent as they roughly landed on each level.
The Good Shepherd thought to himself about how much easier this would have been with super strength or maybe endless stamina. Hell, even some lame heat vision power would have been able to melt these attackers. Instead they were dogs fighting dragons. They, honestly, didn’t belong in a situation like this. It was insane to think they were worthy to pull off something like this. The Shepherd had some intel chatter on what else was going down, not exacts but news feeds and other data sources. There was no way he could match up with that sort of firepower. Supers were just too… powerful. What hope did humanity have against nightmare creatures like this? He knew it was only a matter of time until the situation came to a head- an us vs them showdown. The only reprieve humanity might have would be sheer numbers but even then he wasn’t sure how many would fight. Maybe organization too- but the supers here, united by a common goal, were quite clearly capable of banding together when it was required.
As if to reinforce the point, Shepherd hit the ground with an audible “urf” when he reached the pavement. His joints were only human and there wasn’t a “regenerative healing factor” waiting in the wings to patch him up- he was 100%, USDA, human and that meant he’d get up tomorrow (if he survived) and his knees would creek and he’d wince from the swelling.
“Ok team! Move out, I want eyes in every direction!” He said and his two agents formed a small triangle. They blasted at approaching thorns and spines, keeping themselves clear. They needed another base of operations- clear from the attack.
The Good Shepherd had gotten wind of the situation with the spores and though he might have a solution. Calling in a paramilitary helicopter, he asked it to try to disperse the clouds of spores with it’s down-thrust and provide some covering fire. If there was going to be a war between humanity and supers, it wouldn’t be because humanity abandoned them. His team was here to show the super community some L.O.V.E.

Sanduleak actually fell backwards seeing the sudden tentacle assault go for his bridge then him, even if it didn't reach him the poison still had him falling against Siren for support. Oh god Plague's shit was a freaking cold in comparison to this stuff, what the hell did this thing make for him?
"S-sorry, scream loud as you want, I'll just be here"
Normally he'd be blushing or have a pink mask from being so close but he could not care with the pain and panic, besides there was a part that deserved his special attention. POISON HIM WILL YOU!? There was one singular bright flash that quickly filled several traces of guns in the air above the generaters and barraged them with solidified lines of light that were quickly spreading out a creating platforms. A difficult trick that was both supportive and offensive and fit Sanduleak to a T.

Toko cursed mentally, his method was effective but too slow, he was becoming rusty...And who the hell was this large oaf crashing into the building. Bulwark, how typical, there is no time to spend thinking of the imbecile though. Toko's hands were a blur as he popped open his brief case and began to cycle through a multitude of vials and shells, quickly loading the odd mixtures into a magazine and reloading his rifle that he was beginning to aim at the Shiro towers, it needed to be taken care of with great haste. Releasing a held in breath, he began firing his careful barrage into the crowd of thralls, each bullet with a different intent of either changing their programming, composition, or life span.

"If you want me to scream louder, you'll have to help me out a little."
She teased as she steadied Sanduleak with a smile. After making sure the other super was steady she surveyed the area. It seemed her screams were making doorways for the others but it didn't hold them back for long. Now she had to figure out some other way. She deftly moved to get a look at the other tower. Perhaps she had the wrong target in mind. Shiro tower wasn't too far away. But before she could think too much about her next move a sudden flash of green caught her eye.
Turning towards the familiar color, her heartbeat became rapid. Standing there, at 50 feet tall, was Titan. Many questions filled her mind. Where had he gone? What happened? Is he okay? Siren shook her head, now wasn't the time to ask. Still, it was difficult to contain her joy. Her face was stretched into a wide smile as her attention focused on the Shiro Tower. Her subdual powers reached out for the tower, enveloping it with her will.

The frustration of being trapped into an eternally changing maze had finally gotten to Pride and had him dashing through nearby walls to make a pathway outside so that he could at least assist his flame and have an enjoyable fight. With arms raised to block debris, he soon made it out and launched himself toward the ground before using the momentum to swing a sudden upper cut that made a fairly violent air current flow upwards. A thrall had attempted sneaking up on him but he disappeared and several after images showed Pride delivering seven different punches to the thralls around him.

Gluttony had no way of knowing what was going on with the other supers. For all he knew, there were heavy casualties or the dragon had been found. If it had been found, though, it likely hadn't been killed, seeing as of how, judging just by Gunstig, downtown was likely still being turned into a literal concrete jungle. That meant that taking down its large assets was still a viable strategy.
The appearance of the large Bulwark, while normally something Gluttony would count as a potential problem, was a surprisingly welcome sight. Since it seemed that simply forcing their way inside with brute strength was working, having someone else with a similar plan of action working alongside him would greatly speed up the process. Titan's return would be an issue in the future, for certain, but it wasn't as though Gluttony had any qualms about having more Bulwarks to be focused on in his place.
Gluttony turned his focus back to the task at hand. He continued on his quest to pummel the dragon's resources into pulp, one vine at a time.

Working with Lust was certainly a strange experience. Not because of her excentricities - those were the normal of Pandaemonium - but in the changes she was noticing in herself. As much as she might pretend otherwise, Limen still felt a good amount of fear whenever she did stuff that was likely to kill her like this; she just chose to kindly ignore it. Right now, though, it had made like that student who was only there for participation credit on a day the teacher wasn’t taking roll, and was mysteriously absent. In its place was this gung-ho feeling that was what Limen imagined it felt like to be a bear on the bear hunt. There in laid another underlying mechanic, a little more relevant to and far more noticeable in the present happenings.
Aiming required a precise level of concentration. She utilized it more than anything else; over strength, a steady hand, finding targets, or tracking the various moving objects she did or didn’t want to hit, because it was the conductor of the entire operation that brought the arrow to it’s target. Too little and she became distracted, unlikely to notice flaws that needed to be corrected or be swayed towards other targets, making her unlikely to hit either. But given too much, arms would begin to fidget as the brain tried to micromanage over the muscle memory and she began to second guess her shot. This was true at any level of shooting, but at the distance Limen was aiming for, the slightest deviation from that point-perfect level would shake her hand and the arrow would fly meters off target. It’d taken ages to find that perfect level of focus, and longer to make reaching it a second nature. Her concentration taking a evident drop was a strange feeling. She’d adjusted to it quickly enough as leaning into that built up brain muscle memory was easy when she didn’t have all those rational thoughts trying to override them, but that she was noticing that she was noticing was this meta thought that made her head spin.
So it was a good thing not focusing that was easy enough. It left an off feeling in her gut, but that was one among many she was feeling within this proximity of the woman whose presence alone was assurance that absolutely everything was okay and otherwise perfect. She was wearing the same grin she’d taken while driving the bike madly through turns at a speed she’d be hard pressed to argue as safe, even though it was quickly becoming clear that shooting the vines was doing about as much good as poking them with toothpicks. She was enjoying herself like a predator might enjoy chasing crafty prey. Absently, she wondered why she didn’t always fight like this.
But maybe that was just the jubilation of fighting a dragon like an idiot and not feeling like an idiot for the part. With the ineffectiveness of her present attacks on her present target, she sought out a new one. Others were focusing on the large tower, closed to appear all but unpierceable. She bet she could find some cracks to land an explosive arrow in.

Apparently, she was on the right track. The dragon must really not want her to cut these flowers if it decided to send an army after her. Good thing she had one as well. The present Arcana Force joined the battle of fighting off the reinforcements, as other people seemed to take over the job of weed killing. The least she could do was make sure they weren't get interrupted like she did.
Meanwhile, a new group of clones broke away from the conflict, as they had another task. The thirteen reserve units that were saved for an emergency finally had something to do. See, if the dragon had one way to counter their strategies, there must be another one waiting around, and Arcanum wanted to prevent that other defense from stopping their attacks.

As she continued to draw energy away from Shiro Tower, Envy looked around for a target to release this pent-up frustration. Those skyscrapers were kinda far, and while blowing them up sounded like a lot of fun, it wouldn't really stop the dragon. Not when it could just use those spores to create more building monsters.
Wait a minute, the spores! Of course! As long as those things kept flying around being all menacing and shit, this battle could go on forever. If someone could stop the disease from spreading, it would be like cutting off the dragon's limbs and basically eliminating the threat. From there, they could casually search for the head without worrying about getting hurt at all.
Envy started to yell as she punched the green sphere floating in front of her, directing all of her efforts towards destroying those generators. The completely unnecessary strike seemed to rocket the attack forward as a faster rate than normal, although she could just be imagining things. She waited until the ball flew directly over the target before detonating the explosion.
