Sanduleak lied on the ground as he felt the poison make another round in his body, god this sucked why couldn't that freaking sin been hit with the poison instead of him. No point cursing her out n-
"HOLY SHIT!!"
The dragon's reveal and explosion had sent him flying through the air, invisibility gone in favor for durability of his suit as he crashed into the fence and sent in the dented portion, praying he didn't fall over the side.
"Oh thank god we can see it, kill it, and then I can die in peace."
Even poisoned and bruised, sanduleak would continue to make his frequent sarcastic quips about the dire situation.

Post by Giza Kadabra on Oct 15, 2016 14:09:53 GMT -7
The fight was going on their favor when he saw how the Shiro Tower’s foundation started to crumble. For a glimpse of second, Giza thought they can actually be able to this dragon without any further complication. It wasn’t until he saw a bright blinding light that he was hit with a huge déjà vu from the last dragon attack. Upon instinct, Giza quickly charged straight toward Aurora:
“Look out!!”
As soon as he does so, he feels the wave of energy passed right through them and knock them off their feet. Giza was quick enough to wrap himself around her, taking most of the damage from the shock and the rolling around as a result of the wave as a human shield. What feels like hours rolling around, Giza finally regain his consciousness back to find himself embracing Aurora on top of her. Realizing what might about to happen, he quickly gathered himself up, ignoring the pain out of both his left leg and right hand.
Aurora doesn’t look like she suffered from any form of injuries beyond minor scraping or cuts. He doesn’t know if she suffered from any broken bone since he can’t tell from just looking at her; he only hope that by using himself as a meat-shield, she doesn’t suffer such injuries. In contrast to that, Giza’s feet and arms are suffered from bigger patch of scrapes and cuts. He’s no doctor, but he can make a guess on his injuries: his right hand dislocated, his left leg got a cut so deep that he can see the fatty layer of skin from his injury, and probably two broken ribs along with major scrapping on the knees, shoulder and back area. Blood started to come down from his head, slightly coating the ceramic mask on his face, which is the only thing that doesn’t show even a slightest crack despite how most of his clothes are torn apart.
Looking up at the sky, he can see the thick cloud of spores congeal up and started to fall down all over the city. Pushing himself from the pain, Giza quickly form a big tents that looks like one that the Red-Cross used to treat their patient, completely shielding both him and Aurora from any further spores bombardment. With the tent doing at least some protection, he kneeled down next to Aurora while trying not to bleed on her:
“Miss Aurora, are you alright? Please wake up.” he shook her shoulder slightly. She still out of it however, probably from the shock.
The pain finally caught up with him as he feels every part of his body hurt like hell. Quickly creating gauge out of the air, he patched the cuts in order to stop the bleeding before performing the basic first-aid on Aurora: treating her wound and any sign of bruises while ignoring his own pain. He doesn’t has much time; the dragon has finally show itself, and knowing Aurora she will charged right into the fight despite her injuries. He can always have someone else treated his wounds, and his power can at least help him deal with it; for now this is all he can do to help.

Toko saw the target and held his rifle over his shoulder as he made a break for it, attempting to find a better location to aim at it from until it released an explosion and sent him skidding to the other end of the roof. Injuries not many, mainly bruised side and back...target is still alive and needs to be taken care of. Getting up with little complaint, he made his way to a corner of the roof and took aim, it would die this day, that was certain.

The situation had taken a distinct turn for the worse. One minute, Phenomenon had taken the lighter from the back of the truck and was burning miscellaneous things with it (rocks, hairs, spare paperclips), and in about two seconds he was laying on the roof of the cab with blood under his mask with the taste of copper in his mouth. If he was aggravated before, now he was mortally angered. Spores were everywhere, though, and his closed windows wouldn't be able to hold them off forever. This little cage of his, now a prison rather than a place of relaxation, would eventually let some in and he would find himself in a very bad place. Best course of action would be... A quick bit of brainstorming and he had a plan, though he completed it in a bit of a different order than he organized it in. First, turn the radio off to conserve battery. Second, make an air filter built into the truck. Although the one that it came with wasn't awful, it would not stand up to this. Also, seal the windows. He started with the latter, using his lighter to melt the rubber to the windows and seal them shut, firmly enough. This went for all of them, including the ones in the back. Next was to do something similar to the ventilation system, but only on the small portions he could see and reach. As it started to become more malleable from the heat, it would glow pink and form a very tight filter, one last obstacle for the fresh air to pass through for cleansing. It wouldn't keep the spores out forever, as that would take more time and resources, but it would likely delay them to some extent. Next, figure out what he was going to do from inside he little for he had crafted. Probably lock the doors.

The resulting shockwave from the dragon's latest outburst was essentially negated by Zenith's powers. Her body was used to surviving a large amount of force, usually generated by her own extremely fast movements but it still protected her from outside threats. Naturally, the others would not be as prepared for such an explosion, and probably sustained several injuries in the process. Her medical services would be required.
As she surveyed the battleground for the nearest infected super, deciding to prioritize those who would only serve to poison their own companions. Before Zenith could locate her first patient, Solomon stated his location and a request for assistance. Helping her fellow agent generally took precedent over the unknown vagrants in the area. Speaking up over their communication channel, she warned him of her impending arrival. "Remain where you are, Solomon. I will be there within the minute."
With that, she accelerated, staying well below half of her speed limit in order to maintain a somewhat constant pace. On the way to the shopping center, a new concern prevented her from reaching Solomon at the promised time. A group of supers was gathered atop a nearby structure, one of which carried the dragon's infection. Ignoring their condition would lead to even more people becoming debilitated. Increasing the number of patients would lead to a shortage of supplies to deal with any further problems. Taking care of. . . Unhallow(?) first made more sense than leaving only to return in a few minutes.
Zenith built up enough speed to push herself up higher, directly above the Keeper party. She drifted freely for a moment before activating the full extent of her power in one short burst. To the outside world, she seemed to vanish, as she needed to begin the operation before anyone present could object to the treatment.
Landing directly in front of the patient reduced the amount of energy required to move around, which bought her a lot more time than usual. Zenith reached into her bag and selected one of the prepared syringes full of a red material. She injected the substance into the girl's bloodstream, returning the used needle to a different pocket as her recovery system activated.
Earlier on, it was used to control the countless supply of nanomachines circulating throughout her body, but right now she needed to manipulate the portion currently inside Unhallow. The microscopic pieces of technology swarmed through the others girl's body, working faster than both the dragon's influence or the Keeper's own destructive power. It cleared out every hint of the virus that it detected, then harmlessly exited through the injection site. Once the last of the machines made their exit, their final act was to close the entrance they created. Zenith used a cotton swab to soak up the inert invention, and placed a small adhesive bandage over the mark left behind. It had a picture of a pink bunny on the surface.
With the situation mostly taken care of, Zenith knew she had to leave before time ran out. Soon she would run out of extra minutes to move around in, and she needed to be far away from here once they realized parts of what happened. Hastily, she scribbled a note to explain the situation, risked taking the few steps required to deliver said message to Geata, and immediately jumped as far as she could. If he bothered to notice the card now in his hand, it would say something to the effect of: "You friend was contaminated. I took care of the problem." --Zenith The first notions of time beginning to (relatively) speed up to a natural pace were mostly ignored, as Zenith soon lost consciousness. Her body soared through the air, but she only gained awareness of the situation moments before crashing into the ground. This gave her an opportunity to fortify herself and mitigate most of the damage, but not completely. Fortunately, she landed near the location Solomon had mentioned. Neither the injury on the right side of her torso or the lacerations running across her arms would not slow her down, but moving with superhuman speed was out of the question. Zenith jogged the remaining block or so between her and the next patient, absently noting that her glasses were currently missing. Oh well.
"My apologies; I was delayed." It was, if fact, three minutes from when she agreed to help out. Her traditionally calm image was ruined slightly, as she was clearly exhausted from the earlier running. She bowed slightly in Solomon's direction, barely taking a glance in the panicked girl's direction. That must be the person he was talking about earlier. This time, however, she could not perform the entire operation in the span of a second. There were another fifteen seconds of recharging required for such a maneuver. She pulled out another syringe, but first offered the opportunity to Solomon before proceeding further.
"Here. Give her this, before the condition worsens." It wasn't necessary for him to participate, but would save everyone a few moments if he could handle the injection while her body prioritized repairing itself. If Solomon hesitated, she would deliver the injection soon enough.

Fleet whooped and cheered as a helicopter swooped by, pausing even though some thralls were starting to get dangerously close to watch it go by and wave cheerfully for it. A bang sounded behind him, giving him enough time to turn around to see a bright white light...
Then black...
Fleet snapped upward as consciousness jumped back into his body, retching and coughing desperately as spores swirled around him. He rubbed his face, clearing away some spores that crusted over his face. It was only then he remembered the rain pouring over him and desperately scrubbed his eyes out.
As soon as his vision returned, he tried to push himself to his feet, yelling as his head exploded into pain. Blood matted his hair until it was an ugly shade of scarlet. His eyes unfocused and he propped himself up on a nearby wall, letting out a one-note chuckle as he stared at his feet, which were bare due the explosion blowing off his shoes, "Hh-hehe, t-this little piggy went to the s-store...and this one is-is going to die!~"
He shrieked in laughter for a second before dissolving into a whimper as white-hot pain burned behind his eyes, dragging him into reality as the dragon rose. Blearingly, he noticed Solomon with that cute, helpful girl but couldn't do much from here.
Instead, he flopped against the wall, staring at the dragon with an intensity that contrasted the sheer glee bubbling up within his chest.

Tricky had been zooming his way through the Horizons Building, trying to figure out where the dragon could be hiding from top to bottom, until he heard exactly where it was based off a beastly noise like a fusion between some monstrous roar and thousands of cats at once. He didn't make it in time, even foregoing his opportunities to break the skyscraper he only made it just in time to see the flower before being shot away. There was a flash, then a blur. Even the suit couldn't quite process the swirl and the motion, shutting off its visuals briefly. Even he had no idea where he was going, but anyone who was capable of picking up on movement at this level would know to get out of the way. He ran away as soon as he saw Big Martin instamurdered by it, but the enhanced speed was not faster than the blast that trailed behind him, instead only serving to enhance his velocity. If one were to pay close enough attention, one could catch sight of a metal clad jester soaring through the sky not very high, but quite fast. More than fast enough to cause him to skip along the ground as he landed, losing what momentum he had only by crashing through distant buildings. After he had settled, the suit had stopped moving and acquired several large injuries that didn't quite go much further than a few inches, but it was more than the suit had ever sustained. It lay in a pile of rubble, almost silent but for the light buzzing that it emitted.

They were piling the pressure on the dragon, and it was looking like they might finally have the thing cornered. There was only so much any powerful thing could do against a small army of people after all, so it was only a matter of time before it fell. Aurora didn't have the best angle from her hiding spot, but she could see well enough. Her aurora would arrive at the dragon's location soon, and then she could just drop several tons worth of stuff on it and finish it off like that. However, the dragon retaliated first. At first, all she saw were cats flying everywhere, but once they scattered she got a clear view of Big Martin flying along with them with a spear through him.
Her jaw dropped, and for a moment she found it impossible to breathe. It happened again. She was too slow again. Except this time, it was one of the people she swore to protect no matter what. Sure, Big Martin was about as equally useless as Stunt Double was, and both were squandering their powers, but that didn't change anything. Aurora was supposed to be their strength and help them move past that useless state. And she failed. Horribly. For a moment she refused to believe it, trying to find some other explanation in her head, but as the cats started to scatter it became apparent that there was no other explanation. She balled her hands into fists as a whole series of emotions started to settle into her chest and the pit of her stomach. There was a great deal of anger, but unlike last time, there was more directed towards herself than at the dragon. Then the world went white.
Aurora was knocked back into the back wall of the room, leaving her a bit dizzy, but not incapacitated. Giza was apparently knocked into her too, but she had a hard time believing that their current position was unintentional on his end. Even so, she couldn't get the image from earlier out of her head and the feelings refused to go away. She didn't need this right now.
"Get off!"
Aurora's elbow slammed into Giza's collarbone with little care about how hard she was pushing. It took her a second to get to her feet, but she didn't need or want help. She found it questionable on whether or not she even deserved it right now. She just slapped his hand every time he tried to get in close. Her aurora came back to her. Fortunately, when it wasn't forcing its way back because she got too far away, she could guide it through holes and safer paths, so it wasn't going to smash through the side of the building. By the time it arrived, she shakily rose to her feet and ran towards the hole in the building she created earlier.
"Just leave me alone."
Aurora didn't even bother to turn around. She jumped out of the opening and headed towards a new spot on higher ground. The dragon had gotten even bigger while she was coming back to her senses, but that part didn't phase her. The part that did was the cloud of spores blocking out the sky. Aurora swallowed hard as she landed on the top of a nearby building. At least the rain was starting to put out some of the fires.

Being quite close to the Horizons building himself, Anonymous was probably the first supers to actually get knocked back from the shock wave it made. The wave are so powerful that he actually fly off his feet for a good distance from the building, only stop in his track because he violently hit a wall. Thankfully from his own anatomy, he didn’t suffer any fatal injuries as he flew off his feet internally. Once the wave finally stop, Anonymous struggled slightly to get back on his feet and watch what transpired before his eyes.
The landscape of the downtown area changed completely, and the Horizons building where the dragon lay dormant has finally shed its skin and reveal its true form. Snapping some of his dislocated arms back to its socket, Anonymous let out a smile on his face as he wiped the small drop of blood coming down his face:
“Bloody finally; let’s see if you can communicate like the last dragon I came across.”

The shockwave threw Sin Eater's body roughly a city block away. She was already dead again by the time the transformation took place, so her body was completely limp as it hit the side of a storefront and flopped down to the ground.
The fact that she had already gone limp helped her take less damage from the impact. As a result, it didn't take long for her to come back to life again. After her consciousness returned, she was taken aback by how much the dragon had changed. Not that she was displeased, but it was a lot to take in, and she muttered to herself as she struggled back to her feet.
"What the hell did I miss?"

Dullahan was blinded by the explosion, and it was a more serious problem for him than for the other supers. The helicopters he had above the scene were his eyes on the battlefield. With them destroyed, he no longer had any idea what was going on.
He was in the process of scrambling another squad of camera drones when he noticed the Horizons Building's transformation marring the skyline. The cloud of spores rising up was obvious even from the trainyard.
Dullahan angled his cannons low for direct fire on the Horizons Building itself. It seemed he'd have a good view of his target after all. Train cars slid into position, providing his cannons with a fresh store of ammo. He was ready to hit the dragon with everything he had.
Meanwhile, he sent some more drones in the direction of downtown anyway. It never hurt to be prepared.

The dragon continued to grow more powerful by the second. More vines were growing, more flowers were blooming, the spores were coming out thicker and faster. If it were to be stopped, then this was the time.
But it was also developing new abilities, things of which it hadn't shown any hint of being capable before. The vines themselves were morphing, becoming harder than steel and changing their shape as they replaced the Horizons Building's structural elements. It was hardly even recognizable as the same building, now. Through the dark haze covering the battlefield, four points of light were clearly visible, each one emanating from an enormous flower.
The largest was atop the building. It was also spewing the highest volume of spores, making up the column that was rising into the upper atmosphere and then heading toward other cities. Unlike before, these spores seemed to have a mind of their own, twisting in complicated geometric shapes as they rose.
On one side of the building, another flower produced an entirely different kind of spore. This type spread aimlessly from the flower, but supers would find that their powers wouldn't work properly in the area, even if the supers themselves stood outside it. The spores were settling into the fabric of reality itself, changing how it reacted to superpowers, and as those spores spread across the battlefield, the supers would all find it unusually difficult to make their powers do their bidding.
On the other side of the building, another flower was making thick black spores that seemed to have more substance to them than the other types. Instead of corrupting existing matter, these spores seemed to be able to act independently, spreading out wider and wider into an enormous appendage. The appendage knocked down an office building in a single blow as though testing its power, then began to angle toward the clustered supers.
And down below, the dragon's original flower still remained. It was tattered by the damage Big Martin had managed to inflict before being killed. The spores filling the excavated passageway seemed to catch the light in a different way now, but it was impossible to say just yet how they had changed.
Meanwhile, the last remaining thralls, mostly elites but with a few other types mixed in, had all congregated at the Horizons Building. The growth in the Gunstig Center had been left to wither, apparently abandoned as a lost cause.
By this point, a low level of spores was present in almost all of the city's defenders. Unless the dragon were killed soon, those spores would spread and take over. It was kill or be killed.

While his agents looted the firearm store for guns and ammo, his earpiece squawked to him. He placed a finger to his ear and nodded.
“Understood HQ.” He repeated as Brooklyn tossed him a shotgun.
Then... someone blasted their way in. Rainfall stood in the doorway. Brooklyn sighed, letting his shoulders sag, he didn’t like to share with strangers.
“There’s far more than we can use. Help yourself. Few Remington's over there, a handful of automatics in the safe over there, as much ammo as you can carry, and some camping supplies if that’s what your into.” He said- his blue and black paramilitary armor making him look like some kind of cop or soldier with a helmet on.
He tossed an automatic to Rainfall and nodded respectfully. He didn’t have a problem with Bulwark- they meant well. Didn’t know much about Rainfall but he wasn’t on the agency’s black list so that didn’t warrant engagement. Hell- even if the worst scumbag super in the city fell into his lap he wouldn’t have much choice but to toss them a rifle and wish them well. They needed all hands on deck.
Rainfall was right- this wasn’t a time to talk, but that seemed to be what he was best at.
He opened a com channel to the Rein Initiative,
“Rein, I have word from the HQ that we have air support inbound. Be ready with marker- identify high value targets and we can call them in.” He reported to the entire Rein Initiative over their communications.
The vines stiffening was a blessing- it kept the remaining thralls out. It was like a prison and a shield at the same time.
“Hey- enough Brooklyn. We’re not grabbing weapons for a battalion. Out the back. Pleasure meeting you.” He commanded as Brooklyn was fishing out the third automatic rifle and stuffing his pockets full of ammo of all sorts. He gave a nod to Rainfall as he exited, a little soldierly two fingered salute, before he turned to escape.
“Roger sir.” Cracked back Delaware as she kicked the back door that lead to an alley. The three ran down, casting large shadows on the adjacent wall. They were each loaded up with gear from the firearm store and tore down the street into the fray, blasting away at any blossoms they saw.
“Reports are saying some plants depowering individuals. That’s a target we can hit hard without ill effect.” He said to his team, pointing to a specific set of flowers. Sliding under thrall attacks, and rolling out of the way of other attacks- the team made it to their target. They opened up with their shotguns- trying to cause some damage. Brooklyn even flipped out a can of bug spray he’d found in the camping section and a lighter- throwing it as an improvised firebomb. The Good Shepherd shot a targeting flare to help the air support get a few good shots in on the depowering plants. It wasn’t much but it was all they could do and they were going to fight tooth and nail if they had to.

Lobisomem gaped at the forming spores, locking on to a stream that formed an appendage, an inappropriate chuckle worked up their lips at the fact it looked like a giant tentacle.
It busting down a building smothered the laughter as rubble struck them sharply on the back. Again, they crawled forward, inching toward the black spores.
Then, they jumped.
They even surprised themselves, the spores suddenly were a lot closer as they soured upward. A sudden inspiration hit them and they spun, twisting their tail to smash the tentacle.
