After watching other supers get to where they needed to be, a thought came up. "Where I am supposed to go?" It being his first Dragon battle, and seeing that other supers knew where they needed to be, Hivemind set out.
Noticing all the supers' powers that seemed far greater than his discouraged Hive. Sure, he didn't have unlimited strength or telekinesis, but he made his power his own. For a moment, he thought about what it meant to be a hero. Personal sacrifice, possible humiliation, bravery, courage, and the determination to stand strong until the fight is over. He didn't care if his power wasn't the strongest. He just wants his powers to help others, not the other way around. After realizing that he should be focusing on the task at hand, he made his way to the group of thralls roaming the streets.
While arriving at where the thralls should be, he noticed them. The disgusting zombie minions that Bokor created. Killing or stopping the thralls would significantly help their situation. They would focus on other things besides the thralls.
It wouldn't be an easy task, especially if he was alone. "Others will come, I'm sure of it." He knew the supers noticed the horde of thralls and would head this way to stop them. "This is it, we need to end this here."

Bloodbath squinted his eyes against the glare of the dragon, the sheer chaos of everything forcing him to wrap himself in his blood just to get his bearings.
As soon as he could look at the dragon without feeling his breath stop, he readied his blood.
His blood spread endlessly right before he flung almost every drop at the tower, he couldn't hope to knock it over...but he could try.

Hearing Pride's voice was a relief. For a second she thought Gluttony had caught her, and she really didn't need the arrogant sin to bitch at their ally right now. Though the normal tone of arrogance had warmed to confidence. His teasing words were not missed by the small redhead. Playfully she punched his shoulder before jumping out of his arms. The littlest sin tilted her head toward him, a playful look filling her glowing ember-like eyes.
"Thanks for the catch Adonis, maybe you're better at more things than I thought."
Wrath teased her fellow sin with a slight smirk. Feeling sparks burst of her fingers, she focused her attention forward. There were still hundreds of thralls weaving through the vines and spores. Might as well keep setting their world on fire. It keeps them off more powerful supers for now. Besides, the way these thralls went up in flame was just so... satisfying. Without another moment's hesitation she burst forward in a swirl of smoke and flames.

After Plague Doctor's flight, he was saved by a friendly...mask. Geata had saved the Plague Doctor and promptly dropped him in the midst of a giant group of Keepers... Lovely. He had no time to recognize if he had made "friends" with any of them, however. He had to get off this building and... God dammit, he had to avenge those who died. He found the fire escape with minimal ease, Plague Doctor rushed down and tried to find where had seen the original burst.
As soon as he was on the street, he looked for the nearest manhole. This needed to be taken care of in the quickest, most efficient way possible. If only he had studied root rot before fighting this thing. But sadly, PD didn't think it'd be necessary. He looked through his mind for the diseases he DID have at his disposal.
Ebola - while working well - was tiring him out
Chicken Pox, Stomach Flu, Plague Doctors disease, and the Common Cold weren't lethal enough
Did flowers sweat? Plague Doctor didn't think so... African Sweating Sickness out.
That left him with two options. Bubonic Plague and Swine Flu.
He chose Bubonic plague for his attack, not knowing if it would even affect a gigantic flower. But everything else seemed to have mixed results, so maybe he'd be lucky, although he doubted it considering his luck today, he doubted himself. Then he thought of what would happen if he failed... If the defenders of the city failed. He wouldn't let himself lose... There was too much on the line... Nora and the Boarding House... The hospital... All those people... He imagined the look of children staring up at him, just before death. He imagined the old woman who he used to play chess with in the nursing home saying that he needed to pull her plug. He imagined all the death he had seen over the past 24 hours and the last 5 years... No one else died to this thing... Even if he himself would die in trying.
After getting past the spores, he found himself face to face with the original flower... It was beautiful, in a surreal way. It almost seemed like it was glowing. For a moment, Plague Doctor had almost forgotten why he was here. Then he remembered, this thing needed to die. "It is not the healthy, who need a doctor," Quoted the doctor from memory. "But the sentient plant life bent on destroying MY CITY! He screamed and forced his way into the plant monsters consciousness, finding what it would call it's immune system and shut down whatever made it immune to disease and forced bubonic plague down its throat.

Fleet's mind was blissfully clear...wonderfully clear.
His pupils dilated as he stared the dragon right into its body, out there smile drifting across his face. His fingers moved like he was typing on a computer, though he didn't seem aware of his own movements.
Suddenly, the clouds started lowering. A tornado formed almost around the building. It focused exclusively on the main buds, aiming to suffocate the things.
And through it all Fleet's head had never been so utterly clear...

The pinkette's attention was diverted from the shorts-clad super with the dragon's sudden power increase. Spore spewing buds popped up, making the air heavy. The dark spores choked out the sky, blocking out much of the light. One of the newer buds had spores that were creating instead of mutating. The hooded woman narrowed her eyes. That was not a good sign. If the beast was allowed to create anything it was bound to cause issues. She had to try to stop it.
Siren turned to Titan. It was a dangerous situation and this might be the last time they saw each other. Taking a step forward on her tip toes and kissed his cheek. It had become her traditional goodbye when dealing with the green clad super. It was quiet for a moment as she smiled sadly at him.
"Stay safe Titan."
With those words, she was off. She ran towards the creation flower, trying to figure out what to do. She wasn't sure that destroying the plant would be beneficial. Perhaps she could control it. Focusing on her own exhaustion, she tried to give the plant the same tired feeling.

Post by Blue Jay on Oct 15, 2016 21:41:39 GMT -7
Blue Jay assumed he had been attacked. There was no other explanation, was there? One moment he was hugging Aurora, the next there was a sharp and acute pain below his waistline, and the next after that his jaw was unexpectedly uppercutted (by a wall?) and he was in the air. Next thing he knew, he was on his back on the rooftop in a daze and without a lot of idea of what had just happened. Without a doubt, it had to have been the dragon. Nothing else would’ve attacked him - even if that was a very unusual attack, going by what the dragon had been doing previously. Maybe it was developing new powers?
He’d felt like he’d seen Aurora react strangely to his hug, like she was trying to push him away or something. He assumed it was just a failed attempt at hugging him back, because she was clearly inexperienced at giving hugs and so it was reasonable to expect her to need some practice before she got it down. Plus, he’d come out of nowhere, so he had to give her some leeway there for surprise. The… knee was a little harder to explain, but maybe she had need the attack coming and had tried to protect him? The bump to his jaw had stirred the fog in his head, and logic was having an even harder time finding its way around than usual. He just hoped Aurora hadn’t been hit as well, given how close she’d been to him.
Then came what he thought to be the second most confusing thing to happen to him in the last half minute, and suddenly he was in the air again as thanks to a blast of force. It was by his first good fortune that he landed free of any spikes, and because of his ability’s excellent proficiency at lessening the damage from drops lest he do to himself what the dragon just did to him that the impact did little more than leave him with a daze and what would probably be a good sized bruise on his back.
It was what his mind cleared to that cemented this firmly into place as the weirdest thing to happen to him since the beginning of the fight. Or in the past week. A yelp caught in Blue Jay’s throat because it was startling to say the least to find a woman in her underwear sitting on his chest. It would be akin to finding a miniature, friendly version of the dragon sitting atop him, and honestly even that would’ve been less surprising. What was she even doing without any clothes on? He was in a stake of shocked silence as she pulled him up.
And then she slapped him. Blinking, Blue Jay brought a hand up to his cheek, and further throbbing jaw. Her insults and prior company had brought firmly to mind Aurora, and the fist (or in this case palm) to face was not helping. At least Aurora didn’t make his head feel strange, and the woman didn’t pack nearly the punch Aurora did.
It took him several steps backwards to catch himself. “Yeah, uh, sure.” He found himself agree for reasons he couldn’t place. Damn, his brain had been put through the dryer today.
He shook himself off and, lifting his mask, spat out what had been gathering in his mouth - blood, and a tooth. Absently, he wondered what dental insurance Nora had him on.
He replaced the mask over his face and rebalanced the sword again in his hand (he’d not let go of it, despite all that’d happened). The dragon was making its next attack and it was about damn time he got to doing his job instead of running around… hugging… people…
Blue Jay tried to suppress the embarrassed blush that rushed into his cheeks and sought to quickly find a target. Luckily, there was a large mass of dense spores, destroying buildings and thus making themselves a perfect thing for him to destroy back. He displaced onto the nearest rooftop. Two more had him just before the black mass - and him in perfect range to strike.
Blue Jay fired off a shock wave into the appendage. If that didn’t harm it, perhaps the force would disrupt the particles making it up - and then, hopefully before it could react, he displaced again, landing on another nearby rooftop and repeating the same. Blue Jay would keep on the oversized, overzealous spore lump like a hummingbird with a vendetta, following close wherever it may go, trying to keep just out of reach, and firing shock waves whenever he was able.

Gluttony's face turned to a grimace as the enormity of the situation sank in. If this thing wasn't stopped soon, there would be a lot more than just down town Emerald City at stake. Gluttony wasn't the sort who cared a whole lot about the greater good; like the other sins, he imagined, he preferred to do what tickled his fancy at the moment. He planned, yes, but only so he could accomplish his tasks effectively. The greater repercussions of his actions weren't anything he bothered to care about. However, keeping his own hide intact was something he could very easily see the ramifications of. Besides that, there was another obvious reason why the damn dragon needed to die.
He was by no means letting himself be killed by fucking flowers.
Pushing himself to the limits of his powers, Gluttony rushed forward and pushed his body weight into the building, pressing against it as hard as he possibly could. To him, the logic was simple: punching and breaking would be great for weakening the foundation, but he was sure somebody else would be handling that. What was crucial was applying a high amount of constant pressure against the building, in order to cause those weaknesses to expand. The more he thought about it, the less simple it seemed, but it didn't change the fact that it was right.
He could only imagine how he looked, arms outstretched and trying to tackle a skyscraper. Of course, if it worked, he could easily dismiss anything said, no matter the source.

Post by Azoth on Oct 16, 2016 0:07:55 GMT -7
When the wave of force hit, Azoth clenched her teeth and squeezed her eyes shut, instinctively tightening her grip on Geata. She was going to get hurt again, wasn’t she? The last dragon attack had nearly killed her. With the seemingly ceaseless string of pains dealt to her - first the thralls, which came far too close and left a brick that still remained in her lungs, then the spores which sapped her energy and stuck like glue in her mind, ending with a strike to her neck by another super - she feared this one may be headed a similar direction.
The direction she was presently headed, however, was down. Azoth braced herself for impact. There was little more she could do, and the fatigue that was already deep in her bones was occupying a lot of the space she usually reserved for problem solving, but she refused to allow it to be more than another impact. She had to keep fighting until the end, and in the end make it out yet again. She would not die to this dragon.
It was much easier to do this now when gravity was her biggest threat, rather than wait until she was staring a true death in the eye.
But, it seemed the time had not yet come even for that. Azoth let out a sigh of relief when Geata cleanly concluded their trip onto a rooftop. Once again she was more than thankful to have his assistance - she had no illusions that, had she been more stationary during this fight, she would likely be in much worse shape than she presently was. She smiled lightly when he took her hand, though in turning back to survey the field, figuring he had the situation with their allies under control, it faded again into a contemplative frown. There were several new spore types spreading about the air - none of which she had any intention of using her powers on - but one in particular took her attention, if only that she couldn’t see the point of it. The plumes floating high above were on their way out, and large mass wrecking buildings had a very clear job, but these white spores were unknown.
Even in lacking realization of what they were doing, It would be best to stop them before they reached theirs, whatever it may be. Azoth located the flower, and created directly above it ten pounds of C-4, heated to detonate immediately.
The moment she did so, she knew something was off. The code, if one were to call it that, that went through her head on the order was… off. How, she couldn’t say - it happened so quickly and unexpectedly she had hardly time to register the substance simple enough it was like second nature to make, nor time to stop it by the time she realized something was wrong. It made her feel sick; deeply incorrect, like she’d misplaced the very basics of the universe.
Because in a way, she had. She could never tell what was going to happen when something - an interruption, a spore dragon - messed with her powers. The locations of the particles may be off, made dangerously too dense or ineffectual spread out. The amount of energy in them might be off instead, allowing for the possibility of too many highly charged particles. If it was bad enough, whole chunks of those ten pounds might come out as something entirely different than she’d intended to cause - ranging from useless hunks of metal to lumps of radioactive material.
Azoth greatly hoped the product was similar to her intention.

Thankfully, the Rein guys weren't quite the hard-asses Rainfall had feared they might be. They were willing to let her take firearms, at least, and didn't plan on getting in her way. She let out a quiet sigh of relief, before giving the Shepherd a small nod of acknowledgement. "Much obliged."
Moving the rifle he'd tossed her into one hand, she lowered the other, her dropped shotgun appearing in her grasp in the blink of an eye. Stowing the Bearfucker away beneath her cloak, she walked past the other fighters, deeper into the store, searching for anything else she could use.
The sight of what was on offer made her raise an appreciative eyebrow. Not bad at all. She really ought to come downtown more often, if there were places this good around. Reaching out, she took two more guns, holding them both carefully, almost tenderly. Technically, she was committing a felony right now, but it wasn't like anyone would be against her borrowing these bad boys, right? What with saving the world and all that shit? She'd done worse, in the name of justice.
She left the shop a few seconds after the LOVE unit, somewhat refreshed and much better armed. She immediately hit the road, running to find a good position to start sniping. Against an enemy like this, she was going to need low-volume, high-power rounds, which made picking a careful position out first worth it. The spores clogging the air were making her cough, too, and it would be difficult to aim properly through all that floating crap while she was on the move.
Even if she couldn't immediately attack herself, however, she caught sight of the Shepherd and his crew unloading on one of the flowering growths. Seemed they knew what they were doing. They'd done her a small favor, so perhaps she could return it now.
The bullets fired by the paramilitary squad were already powerful enough, but with a single gesture, Rainfall doubled their velocity, increasing the force of their impact even further and helping the team deal even more damage to with their gunfire. The effect wouldn't last that long, but hopefully it would give them a head start while she got ready to mount her own attack.

Siren's collision with Titan almost knocked down the already imbalanced super. It took him a while to finally return the hug, mostly because of the mix of different emotions coming over him. He was still in 'fight mode' (so to speak), yet the feeling of relief still made itself known. When she loosened her grip, Titan's mind immediately went towards finding the others. He hoped Blue Jay in particular hadn't got himself killed. Again.
There was little time for that however, as the battle continued to rage. Just before he went off, Siren made a familiar farewell, to which Titan responded with a simple nod. Once again growing to maximum size Titan made his way back to the raging battlefield. A glance at the direction Siren was headed revealed to Titan the location of two familiar faces. Or rather, two familiar figures: Lobisomem and Blue Jay. He smirked underneath the mask before making his way to their location.
The two were attacking some sort of growth that was spewing those spores. Offering his assistance, Titan charged in and grabbed a hold of the growth, to hold in place while the others would hit it with everything they had. Hopefully they could watch out for where they were hitting. Titan himself had to watch out for those spores pouring out of the growth.

Usually, a hit from Aurora would have been welcome for Giza’s case. In her own way, that’s how he knew he have her attention. However, because of the injuries he has suffered from lowering the damage on Aurora, that elbow jab on his collarbone send the pain straight up to his brain, almost cause him to get on his knees. He tried his best to maintain his stance as he watched Aurora enter the building in order to get to a higher vantage point. No point going after her now, not when she just told him to leave her alone.
He just has to maintain a short distance between him and her, even if she’s up on the roof and he’s on the ground. Of course with his injured leg, he might have a hard time getting up there anyway. He can at least see the carnage that the dragon made on the Horizons building, spewing out more of those God-forsaken spores. The amount of spores is almost overwhelming, and they all looks like they’re spreading fast.
Getting a closer look, Giza noticed that most of the spores spewing into the sky above are from the highest point of the building. By spreading the spores up into the air like that, this dragon might be able to get even more thralls across the city to its aid. He needs to cut off that source if he want to stop it from blocking the sun and spreading across the city. Tried not to move his right hand too much to ease the pain, Giza used his left hand to focus his power in order to congeal the rubble around him. The rubble suddenly started to melt before him, congealing into a big brown ball of goop.
Once he got enough semi-liquid goop as big as a semi-truck, he threw it full force high into the air, way above the top of the Horizons building. The goop then started to divide into hundred to thousand of smaller chuck, surrounding the bulb up on the roof and solidified into thousands of sword blades. With a snap, all the sword blades flew straight into the bulb as if he’s performing the Sword Box trick on it, except these sword are quite sharp and actually impaling the bulb without any sign of illusion or trick behind it.

Anonymous quickly make his way up to the higher point in order to see the twisted monstrosity before him. The flowers blossom all over the building, and most of them are starting to spew out more of those spores. Taking a closer looks, he noticed that each flowers let out a different type of spores, and each of those types behave quite differently than the one from before. The dragon has decided to switch its tactic, something that Anonymous doesn’t quite get a grasp on just yet.
“How can I get my hand on those new wonderful toys?” he said to himself.
He wondered which one of those spores actually has the full mind-control property; he want to get a good fresh sample in order to study it further. Problem is he doesn’t have enough time to get all of them, and getting close to those blossom flower just to get those spores are quite suicidal. He might be curious, but he’s not that stupid to go all in without a plan like that.
For now, he can simply bid his time in order to locate the right blossom to go after; once he found it, he just need to be in a close distant to it. That way, once the super finally defeated the creature, he can immediately jump in to get that fresh sample without worrying about getting in harm’s way.
Looking up to the roof of the Horizons building, one of the blossom are spewing the spores up into the air high above. As he looks closer, he can see that those spores seem to move in a specific pattern, as if they are fully independence from the dragon’s control. If they have a mind of their own, then perhaps he can mess with those minds. Because the blossom is too high up, Anonymous pulled out a vial contain that similar volatile compound and a small sling-shot. With careful aiming, he shoot the vial straight up to the roof where it will shatter on impact and let loose those gas right into the spores that the flowers is spewing into the air. Now he can just wait and see what type of reaction this hallucinogenic agent that he shoot up there have on those spores.

After what feels like forever enduring that pounding pain in her mind, fighting back the dragon’s influence, Poppet felt something prick against her skin as if someone is giving her a flu shot. On reflex, she immediately used her strings in order to drag the assailant back away from her quite a distance away. The shot does managed to get some of its content on her, and slowly she feels the dragon’s influence over her mind started to grow weaker. The effect isn’t perfect, but for now Poppet finally able to hear her own thought once again. And just like that, her doll also started to stood up and flew clumsingly up on her shoulder:
“Ugh, fucking finally; just how long are you tended to keep me in there for?” the doll sounded quite upsetting.
“I-I’m sorry,” she apologized to Jessica, “I-I let my guard down, a-and…”
“Whatever, at least I’m back, that’s the most important thing.”
Both of them turned toward Solomon, who still holding onto the syringe in his hand and being bound by her strings. Realizing what has happen, Poppet release her control over him and apologized for doing that to him. Standing next to him is another girl, who’s probably his co-worker considering she did managed to get some fragment of Solomon talking to somebody.
Before she could introduce herself to the new person, Jessica snapped her back in order to focus on the situation at hand. The dragon has transformed the Horizons building into its vessel, making more of those spores all across town.
“Looks, I don’t know how long that wonder-drug last, and I don’t know how long I can stay before that stupid dragon push me back again, so what do you say we give it a proper payback before then?”
Poppet looked up at the sight; she swallowed her fear away before giving a nod to Jessica. Fearing of losing control of her power once again, she needs to deal with the source as quickly as possible. From her vantage point, she can see the quite-beaten up blossom deep inside the building. If that’s what she thinks it was, then that will be her target; weaving her hand around, she tried to latch onto the blossom at all angles before pulling it out of the ground with her full force. By weaving multiply strings into a huge pulley system, even for this weak body of her, she can try to tear the flower off its root. She then turned to Solomon and the girl next to him:
“I-I got this one; you go deal with the other flowers.”
Even though she doesn’t want Solomon to go away from her too far, she need to put his safety as a priority. After all, as long as the spores are still on her skin, she feared of spreading it to her big brother. And if her power ever got out of control again, she doesn’t want him to be the first one to face such fate.
