What little Carl knew of Big Martin's powers came from secondhand information and what had been demonstrated in the current battle. However, the basics seemed to be pretty straightforward: he possibly made cats and definitely commanded them. Give Big Martin basic commands, the cats will be controlled to do as commanded. The extent of what they could do could be figured out later, though, as there wasn't the time to figure it out and experiment. Still, Carl was tentative as he gave his first order to the new specter.
"Big Martin. Create cats."
Carl expected a cat or two, if anything at all, from the simple order. He didn't know how many cats Big Martin could make or how many were simply cats that he had influenced. Instead, Carl got a sizable army of felines popping into existence, awaiting further instructions. The young super was simply stunned by the sheer volume that the former catomancer could create within a moment. He quickly broke free from his surprise, though. With a grin, Carl pointed to the Horizon's building, now newly twisted to be the dragon's vessel. "Big Martin, command your cats to carry us to the enemy." And without a moment's hesitation, they did.
Carl had been transported across many a battlefield by many a thing, but traveling via horde of cats was a new experience. He tried his best to relax and let the cats do what they were commanded, but it wasn't an easy task. Still, when the swarm started to quickly approach a somewhat familiar super, Carl felt his grin widen. "Giza Kadabra," he called out as the cats threatened to overtake the magician, "Best of luck in your attacks!" And then the cats surged around Giza, rushing past him like a river past a stone, carrying Carl and the specter of Big Martin around the obstacle on their way to their true target.
Once at the dragon's new form, Carl turned his attention to the original body of the beast. If there was any sort of head to the thing, it was likely that. It was certainly worth trying to take out, and besides that, there was another reason to focus the cats on it. It was that flower that had killed Big Martin, so destroying it with the help of Big Martin's ghost would, in Carl's mind, help the recently deceased super achieve closure.
"Big Martin, cover the first flower in felines," Carl said as they approached. "We're going to tear it to shreds." With that, the cats started to converge upon the original flower, attacking the target that Big Martin was likely close to destroying before everything fell apart.

Kaz hated a lot of things. Being late was just one thing on his very long list, but it was pretty high up there. Unfortunately, that was going to be the case for today, as per Toko's arrangements. His partner had decided to organize some business outside Emerald City, some important dealings regarding someone wanting someone else dead. Which meant that Toko, in all his wisdom, decided to send the man who had a complete lack of experience in anywhere other than Tokyo and Emerald City. Long story short, the deed was done and the two partners-in-crime were richer than they were a few days ago.
It was rotten luck that Kaz was halfway back to Emerald City when another beast had attacked. He wasn't immediately made aware of the attack until the news broadcast came out, just when the bus he was on entered the city. Kicking off every other passenger through persuasive force, Kaz sped the newly commandeered vehicle right into the heart of the storm.
The carnage was awe-inspiring, yet simultaneously disgusting. Strange growths created by the monster spewed out of the very infrastructure, creating a bizarre fusion of flesh and concrete. As he drove through, he suddenly spotted a group of mutated creatures in front of him. If Kaz didn't know any better, he'd have thought they were people. But they were clearly offspring of the beast, wherever it was. Whatever they were, he had found his target.
Going full throttle, the bus smashed into the horde of mutant freaks, which was followed by Kaz bursting out of the front windshield, knives at the ready. He would tear his way through these things with everything he had, whether Toko was here to help or not.

Tricky was up in a flash, as one may expect of him, and had already started off toward the Horizons building. His form had changed once more, now he looked like anger. A physical incarnation of it. He was more roughly made, it seemed, but with the same durability. His face was now one letting out a battle cry, twisted into a demented scream. All of the ones covering his torso had turned into grimaces or growls, the one in the middle now becoming one of laughter. Now, the Jester was also covered in hues of scarlet and vermilion, reds and oranges covering him but for the licks of yellow on the protrusions of his hat. The bells had been replaced entirely with little wicks, giving an appearance of being lit when in reality they were just warped metal. The buzzing had ceased and left him in a form just as suited to combat the dragon as the dragon was to combat them. Tricky had quite the particular target, partially because he was beyond enraged and partially because it was just a goal of his. Tricky sped through the hole made by the original Big Martin and around, above, or through the new cats to the first blossom. He had no intention of letting it live for too long, and the spores would have to directly stop him because there was almost nothing short of a physical blockade that could. He raced ahead and bounded forward, a long leap with all his speed put into it that would take him to just the base of the flower. Tricky loosed a killer sweeping kick to the base of the flower as he landed, his sprint all ending in the one blow. As he rotated his full 360 degrees, he also reached out to rip off as much of it as he could with an outstretched hand. He wanted to tear it apart piece by piece, and if he had to knock a few cats out of the way to advance this goal so it would be.

There was now an unsurprising little that Phenomenon could do. He was trapped in the cab, and was just kind of... waiting. He started up with the same tactic he had earlier, pressing his mind into the thralls to exert some semblance of control and then murder several at once, taking them out in larger quantities. He was simply sitting cross legged, rigid with concentration; although it didn't appear so, he was exerting a lot of effort to get as many down as quickly as possible. If he was lucky, he would be taking them out in droves.

This issue waS growing too big for Mass to ignore, seeing as no part of the city was untouched, and his original plan of sitting outside the city and watching events unfold, so as to know where he could steal something, was not working too terribly well. So, he would have to help the rest of the citys supers fight the great big mean old flower. Running through the streets was too dangerous, therefore he had opted to launch himself with some mass manipulation, making a tight ball of dirt then expanding it incredibly quickly under himself. He would then run towards the reality-shifting flower on a trail of solidified air in the sky, watching destruction unfold beneath him. This would be the first time he was actually helping the city, and it felt weird. He was fairly used to hurting others and taking what he wanted, but not used to helping others unless it benefited him more than the effort exerted would normally be able to. Upon reaching the flower, Mass would lower the density of foot shaped parts of the wall, allowing him to shove his feet through them and stand in the wall while he focused all of the rest of his energy on the flower. It was spraying out things that messed with all supers near it, so he would try and cover it and the whole from which the spores came with solidified mass, made of the air around it. If he could shut it, hopefully he could either destroy it or it would explode from the buildup that it could no longer release. With this, he would sink himself deeper into the building, using it as a sort of magnetic boot style thing, keeping him there.

Unhallow gripped the rooftop as tightly as she could, to the point that her knuckles were white under her costume. She resorted to kicking the wall in hopes that her power might have weakened it a bit so she could make a hole or a foothold or something, but no such luck. The wall was still holding strong. It figured that it'd be now of all times that she couldn't make a hole appear somewhere. She struggled to pull herself up again, but she simply wasn't strong enough to pull herself up. Hell, she wasn't even strong enough to keep holding herself up like this for much longer. Because of her power she always kept physical exertion to a minimum, which meant in the past year she lost a lot of muscle mass and didn't have much stamina anymore. Her fingers were starting to slip, and it was a long way down.
Geata appeared in front of her telling her to let go. Unhallow wasn't so sure about this, and that was evident in her expression. She furrowed her eyebrows, but didn't look down. She really didn't want to see how far down she was about to fall at this point. It was quickly becoming apparent that it didn't matter how much she wanted to hold on, or how nervous she was about falling, she was not going to be able to hold on for much longer. Might as well stop delaying the inevitable and hope that this guy knew what he was doing. She shut her eyes tightly and let go, feeling her heart leap into her throat. The fall only lasted a few seconds, and she plopped onto the ground. The sudden stop surprised her enough that her legs weren't prepared to land and she ended up falling over and landing on her butt. Unhallow rose slowly, grabbing her helmet she dropped beside her, and took a look at the infinite spirals.
It was big. Really big. And planty, really planty. That was the extent of Unhallow's conclusions. Where was she supposed to hit something like that? Normally when dealing with weeds you just pulled them out by the roots because doing anything else would just have the weed coming back later and still choking your plants. But this thing was just infinite spirals, did it even have roots? She supposed it had to be attached to something, but what? The building seemed to be as much part of the plant as it was something the plant might be attached to. And wasn't the thing underground too. Unhallow furrowed her brow again, this was surprisingly difficult. After a moment, she gave up thinking too hard about it and decided to just hit everything. It meant she'd probably be hitting a lot of supers on the ground too, but this was important, so they could probably deal with the headaches and muscle aches that came with being around her for too long. As long as no one tried to hug her she shouldn't kill any of them or hurt them too badly. Probably.

Aurora landed on one of the higher buildings a fair distance away. Far enough that it hadn't been corrupted by the plant, but close enough that she still saw a few portals around so that she could communicate with everything. This would be pushing the limits of her aurora's range, but she was pretty sure this was close enough based on past tests and with how quickly her range was expanding. From here, she could see the entire battlefield, and the chaos of the battlefield wasn't the least bit distracting to her and she found it easy enough to follow. She was used to dealing with billions of little particles, tracking everything going on here was simple compared to that. Plus, from here, she found it difficult to make out each individual face, which meant it was easier to look at the battlefield because she couldn't make out the thrall's faces or bodies very well either. It wasn't ideal, but it would do. She didn't want to hide or look away, she needed to see this through.
Next, she had to have a plan of attack. How did this thing spread? Was it more like seeding, or was it more like an aspen tree where everything was connected? Aurora could go either way on that one. With the way it looked, it was spreading vines through the walls and pipes, but the spores obviously made it spread in other ways. As difficult as it was to look at the sky, she forced herself to look at all the spores. They were all different, which meant that it was probably specializing to a degree. If it was spreading via spores, then it was probably via the blossom that was highest on the building, and the original one. The spores from the highest blossom didn't seem to be falling in Emerald City, or at the very least, the dragon didn't seem to be aiming for them with that. That was a problem in its own right, but she could only focus on one thing at a time. If they were going to kill this they needed to do it fast. With any luck it wouldn't even have time to branch out into other cities. That made her target obvious. Maybe if she cleared out the original blossom it wouldn't be able to spread further.
She sent her aurora back underground to shove it down the blossom's metaphorical throat. Her intention was to pile in particles to block any holes that the plant might be spewing spores out of, as well as to make the rest of it spin as to rip it apart from the inside.

At least now she was close enough to be in range of those portals so she could talk to everyone. Seraphim was still too far away to directly help anyone, but she could indirectly help them with bullets if necessary. There wasn't time to completely get back with the rest of the group, so this would have to do. The catastrophe happened, and people keep acting like there was no reason there was never any footage of dragons. People always seemed to want to make her life harder for no reason because they thought they understood better than the actual experts.
Unfortunately, getting closer meant she was affected by the dragon more. Reading a mind controlled creature's mind was already difficult, but with the spores disrupting her power she wasn't going to be able to understand it any better than anyone else. She could still hear its voice, but she was having great difficulty making sense of it, and it was barely a whisper compared to everyone else's. Further, her brain wasn't assimilating what the voice was saying like it normally did, so she actually had to think about it. This wasn't a huge problem for her, her power helped in combat, but it wasn't her main source of offensive power, but there were a lot of supers that used their powers for their offensive might. With this interfering it was going to be much harder for them to do what they needed to do. Fortunately, because she didn't need her power to fight, she could try to deal with it herself. It was even mostly stationary, so she didn't need her power to aim.
Seraphim set up her sniper rifle again and sent about half a dozen well placed shots into the center of the blossom, where the spores appeared to be coming from. She wasn't sure if that would damage what was creating the spores or not, so just in case she shifted directions and aimed for what appeared to be connecting the blossom to the rest of the plant too. Bullets were not the ideal weapon for this, but she didn't have time to get close. Carefully, she started lining up shots so that eventually she might be able to cut through it completely. She watched carefully to see which option seemed to be having more of an affect on it.

Unfortunately for the karma warrior, she didn't have much time to heal her wounds. The dragon was making it's next move and she needed to act fast. Her body was weak and her mobility was greatly lessened by her wounds. Figuring there wasn't much else she could do she leaned against one of the spikes and adjusted her grip on her sword hand. Trying to maintain her balance, she sliced through the air towards the original plant. Sharp ribbons of light barreled toward the plant wanting to aid in it's destruction.

Nemesis picked herself off the ground and took a good look around the area. Everything kept getting worse. She was starting to doubt their ability to overcome the odds and defeat such a horrible monster, but there were no other alternatives. It was too late to run away, so she could only continue forward.
Somewhere along the way, more people showed up to help. Nemesis didn't remember seeing Titan earlier but she was kinda busy hacking things to rescue folks, so he could've been there for a while. He went up and tried to take out one of those giant flowers; it wouldn't hurt to make that task a little easier.
Her spiritual energy surrounded Nemesis' right hand as she created a somewhat large javelin. After a running start, she threw the spear at the weird plant. While she certainly didn't have the physical strength to actually hit the thing, her power could cheat a little and keep the spear going at a constant rate.

Geata blinked in response to the note suddenly in his hand. Once he read it, he smiled slightly despite the fact that the dragon was now quite possibly the most intimidating bunch of pansies he'd ever possibly see. Whether or not Zenith intended for it to happen, she just made herself a friend. He definitely needed to have a chat with her sometime after the dragon was killed and they weren't trying to stop the other from doing something. Until then, though, it was a back burner thought.
He turned back to the dragon and, taking stock of which of the blooms was probably the best idea to go anywhere near, opened a portal to attack the one on the side that didn't have a giant spore arm. Except the portal didn't open. Frowning, Geata tried again. When a portal refused to open again, he realized that he wasn't going to be able to just appear in that area. And, if his powers didn't work there, other people's powers wouldn't, which could cause immense problems. So, instead, he spent a moment trying to figure out where he could put portals without a problem. One opened finally, just for him to close it back. He took a look over the battlefield and gave a mental thanks to the more destructive supers.
If he couldn't open a portal in that area, there was no way in hell that anything short of Azoth trying to be really convincing could get him to try and figure out what would happen if he got within striking range. Thankfully, though, people punching buildings creates rubble. Rubble can be thrown at high velocity to hopefully cause damage. It didn't work too well against Cetus, but flowers were probably more vulnerable than flying time fortress whales. Geata decided to ignore how strange of a sentence that was and instead started dropping rubble through portals to hopefully hit the anti-power flower from a distance.

A crash further down the street caught Solomon’s attention. Zenith, he connected upon spotting the chin-length white hair, and apparently the street had caught her. He considered asking to her well being, but decided it was irrelevant. Covered in dirt, thoroughly windblown, and his stuff scattered about the street as though he’d been trying to chuck them at something and missed - terribly - seven times, he doubted he looked as professional as the faction may assume either. But, he was fine, and he assumed she was well enough as well. If there was an issue that needed addressing, she would bring it up. And withal, there was a dragon attacking. None of them could be expected to be perfectly okay.
Solomon didn’t hesitate in taking the syringe, and gave Zenith a small nod of thanks. It… meant a lot that he had teammates he could rely on. Swiftly, before she might try to stop him, he grabbed Poppet’s wrist and pricked it with the needle. Immediately thereafter he was yanked back by her power.
When she seemed to come back to her senses and her powers released, he breathed a sigh of relief. He waved a dismissal to Poppet’s apology, but made a mental note he was going to have to figure out a counter to Poppet’s abilities. Twice was plenty for being attacked with little for timely solutions.
Solomon pondered Poppet’s suggestion, and the flowers scattered about the darkening field like luminaries among the smog. The most immediate problem were those trying to escape elsewhere - even should they stop it here, should the dragon manage to spread it would be nigh impossible to track it down to everywhere it went. The only issue was, ironically, distance. He was too far to do much to the millions of small, distant spores.
But there were several who were much closer, and, in expecting something a little more… punchable, he guessed, he had another more general spell mostly prepared. One of the books lifted from the floor of a nearby shop and flew out from the broken storefront window it’d flown through not long before and came to hover in front of him, flipping through its pages until it reached the set he needed. A few more lines, the two possible targets chosen, and the pages flashed, the spell complete.
He’d chosen two of the supers who were already more physically inclined in the vicinity of the high skyscraper. Both HaLOS and Pride themselves would not feel any different - it was their surroundings, and soon the dragon, that would feel the change. It was as though the laws of force had taken a sudden and acute favor to them; simple jumps would effortlessly send them shooting up into the sky, like Force was using them as avatars to get back at Gravity, and their physical attacks would manifest with far more weight and thrust behind them. And Solomon could go back to not having to get into the thick of things.

In a way, Arcanum could understand the dumb plant's supposed motivation to take over everything. The world was mostly a miserable place to live, and trying to own all the things would allow someone to make it all better for themselves. As much as she hated the thing, Arcanum only bothered to fight because it wanted to kill her. Bad things happened all over the place. If the dragon began its conquest literally anywhere else, she probably wouldn't care enough to stop it.
Apparently, the universe like to troll its cosmic horrors as well. Of all the super infested towns to choose from, this was one of the best equipped to destroy plant thing. The last dragon a few months back convinced everyone to plan ahead for the next one. Even the heroes were committing crimes to find out how to kill this weed.
So no, Arcanum was not worried about the death clouds raining down upon them. It wouldn't be enough to prevent their victory. To prove their dominance, she thought of a plan to prevent more of those spores from spreading. It involved a giant slingshot created from a pile of rubble, and launching a giant blob of slime high into the air. Once the thing sailed closer to the tallest flower, it spread out into a large blanket to cover up the endless stream of spores.

Limen grinned at the green haired woman. “‘Course we’re fine. It’s going to take a hell of a lot more than a flower to kill us.” She felt a twinge of, something - she couldn’t place it for the life of her - at noticing a favoritism towards Envy, but it was small and washed away at the approval of her shirt. Glad to be of assistance.
Little more motivation was needed than a hug from Lust and a dragon to kill. The motorbike shot out of the skyscraper, landing, bouncing once, and then continuing down the street as fast as she could push the thing. And the dragon thought these spikes could stop ground transportation; Limen only needed space as wide as the bike’s wheels (and for the passengers to keep their hands and feet inside the vehicle) for successful passage.
The largest target was also the most easily struck. Whenever Limen had the chance between making sure she made a turn and the speed dial pointer was at max, she pulled one of the arrows armed with explosives out of her quiver, took aim at the easy target, and shot. Who knew how much it would do, but explosions never hurt anyone. That didn’t get in their way.

After some time of doing some minor repair, HaLOS managed to move its robotic form a bit more fluently than before. However, the damage it sustains are still making the fight slightly more difficult. Scanning all the options and potential targets, HaLOS decided that it need to take care of the blossom all the way high up on the building, considering it is the most difficult to reach and spewing out the most of those spores.
However, with the wing unit on its back is heavy damage, it can’t fly all the way up like usual anymore. There’re only two other way for it to get up: climb up from the outside or climb up from the inside. Both options don’t yield a good probability in its favor. While thinking of another option, the robotic form suddenly got lighter than it was suppose to be from before. Scanning the area for the one responsible, HaLOS noticed a man with bleach white hair is mumbling some sort of incantation out of the books around him.
It doesn’t know his name, but if he’s responsible for this feeling of weightlessness, then HaLOS won’t complain about it. With a mighty jump, HaLOS managed to scale the building and reach the rooftop of the Horizons building. Now that it is finally close to the intended target, HaLOS pulled out two flamethrowers out of its arms and begin to burn the spores and the blossom that spewing them.
