Ophiuchus was rather surprised that the flower was actually affected by his hemotoxic venom. The dragon was close to death and that bolstered his efforts. The snake-man continued to spray the bloom with venom.

Shrapnel at high speeds sucked. Limen was a skilled chauffeur, but there was only so much that could be done between spikes covering road like quills on a very old porcupine who had seen some shit, and zombies that, of all things, exploded.
And then she ran into one of them.
Not directly into it, but just close enough that had she not swerved at the moment she did, the explosion would’ve caught them in the face rather than in the side. Limen winced as she felt something dig into her arm, but kept her focus squarely on the road ahead of her. Specifically, the upcoming building fronts.
The exploding thralls wouldn’t stop. The trick was cool the first time, but go five and it was getting both redundant and very annoying. She wished she could do more to help Envy, the apparent target of the flying thorns, but the best she could do was attempt to be a tough moving target to hit and hope for the best.
Luck had gotten Limen far in life, but dragons seemed to screw with the way absolutely everything worked, and the last thirty seconds had been a cascade of her good friend Karma breaking dishes on the floor. In her peripheral, she caught the familiar cape of a similar mage- and then, out of nowhere, a thick fog of the spores descended on her. For the second time today, the black dots of death settled down into her lung, and among the violent coughing and lack of visibility, Limen didn’t see the half-broken spike. The bike flipped, throwing all three passengers into the sky. Limen landed on her back. The motorcycle landed on its head, rumbled in complaint, and gave its last, sarcastic breath.
Limen had thought the landing was what was going to hurt the most. Instead, she was gripped by a potent throbbing in her left arm. This warranted a look, and what she found was… not good.
At least, that’s how she’d categorize the deep black color and the vines trying to claw their way out of her flesh, and deeper into her body. They’d reached almost entirely up her arm, which by this point was a charcoal black and littered with vines. Probably not good.
Limen scrambled up to her feet. Movement sent a sharp pain through her arm, drawing a grimace as she scanned the area. She sought out the locations of Lust and Envy, and the Giza she’d seen earlier. Indeed, she’d met the ground less than five meters away from him. At least if those zombies caught up, they’d have another person to try to fend them off.
Gently removing her hand from her upper arm, she checked the status of the zombie thorn wound. It was spreading. She wasn’t too keen on figuring out what it’d do it if met her lungs and heart, but she didn’t know how to get rid of it either. Not without removing the source.
“God damn it, I’m not dying today.” Limen muttered, throwing her bag unceremoniously on the ground. Her arm hung mostly limp at her side, throbbing for the attention Limen was trying her hardest not to give it. What she needed was something to cut off the circulation. She didn’t normally keep anything like that in her first aid kit since this was a little beyond her usual pay grade… But her laptop cable would do. Limen drew the black cord out of her bag and deftly wrapped it around her arm, right below the shoulder. She pulled it tight with her teeth.
She’d made a headcount of those here because if this was going to get done in any amount of time, someone needed to be nominated. The one picked was also the one she was going to blame this crash on to maintain her perfect driving record. Limen held her arm out to the side, her hand fisted and her teeth tightly clenched. “Giza, cut it off! Hurry!”
It was just her left arm. It’d be fine. She’d lived through worse blood loss than whatever this would cause, and getting rid of it would get rid of the burning, digging pain that was bringing the beginnings of tears. It probably wouldn’t hurt that bad.

The voices were getting worse. In just a second, they turned from whispers and moans to screaming!
Somehow, the familiar feeling of rage filled their mind in shades of scarlet. This little dragon was going to drop dead!
They peered at the structures limbs and even through the voices were compelling them, shrieked and opened their huge maw as they passed, crunching through anything that looked important.

Bloodbath stumbled away from the thralls, trying desperately to open more wounds on his already horribly sliced arms. Finally he settled for plunging a hand into his neck, gagging at the sensation.
The amount of blood was unmistakably his, and he sent it all to sweep up the thralls.

Although he was still rushing around, Tricky made himself a container out of ice. It was effectively a backpack, but quite durable as well as completely airtight. He wasn't just racing around hurting things anymore, but collecting samples and freezing them before placing them in the aforementioned pack. Naturally, he wasn't collecting them painlessly, and because he had so much speed to use he could still focus on inflicting damage to some extent. He still recognized the dragon as a foe in need of killing, but also as a specimen. At the first chance that he might lose his cargo, Tricky would flee as fast as his robo-legs could carry him.

Even though it was a short run, Unhallow still had to brace herself against a wall for a moment to catch her breath. It felt like her lungs were burning and that her heart was going to leap out of her chest. Once again, she had no idea if she was actually accomplishing anything because the spirals were as infinite as ever, and her power worked in ways that was difficult for the naked eye to see. The dragon's reaction suggested that it must be doing something though.
She felt small spikes coming out of the wall where her hand was. With a yelp, she quickly pulled her hand away, but by the time she looked to see what poked them they were already huge. It still felt weird to have to look directly at something to understand what was happening. Unhallow managed to take a few steps back before the spikes grew further in an attempt to pierce her midsection, but there were more coming. There was no way she'd be able to dodge much longer. Sadly, the exit was blocked and the whole room was starting to fill up with spikes. She backed up slowly, eyeing all the spikes and wondering exactly what she should be doing in this situation. She didn't get a chance to think too long. The spikes continued growing and charged at her, slamming her into a root she hadn't seen before.
Multiple parts of her body had been pierced by the spikes, enough that she looked more like swiss cheese than a person at this point, but the only thing she could think about was that it was good she managed to find what she was looking for so quickly. Leaning against something as important as a root like this was bound to have an effect on the dragon, and her injuries could be fixed later assuming she didn't bleed to death here. Sin Eater was here though, and Unhallow was sure that if she got into too much trouble that Sin Eater would help. Her costume was soaked with her own blood at this point, but the dragon wasn't satisfied with that and continued to grow. It was starting to completely suffocate her between the squeezing, strangulation and complete lack of space in the room. She heard a few bones snap and tears ran down her face because of how much it hurt, but she wasn't the least bit afraid. She still couldn't tell if her power was working on the root there, but considering her back was directly against it she doubted it would be able to avoid at least some amount of rot. Same with everything that was squeezing her.

The dragon was on its last legs, even with its increase in power. That was fortunate. There would be no need to nuke Emerald City yet. Part of her hoped that this would discourage any more reporters from trying to get footage of dragons, but she wasn't going to count on that. People that wanted to uncover the truth tended to be the stupidest people.
Seraphim lacked the firepower that a lot of these supers did, and looking at what they were able to do, she had little doubt that they'd be able to handle the rest. Thus, her job was about trying to prevent as much damage as possible and prepare to minimize the amount of information that got out about the dragon. She appreciated all the fire that was being used. That would be likely to burn away a lot of the bodies that had been taken over by the dragon and would make her job easier in the long run. While the person creating much of the fire probably wouldn't appreciate it, she figured it would be for the best to direct the thralls towards her flames. Given how suicidal they were acting, she wasn't sure if she could manipulate them like that, so failing that, she'd just try to kill as many as possible and dispose of them properly later.

Thanks to the assistance of his allies, the roots of the growth were looser, easier to pull. Yet even with Titan's strength, especially at this size, he still needed to use every ounce of force that he could muster. Fortunately, he could actually feel himself making progress this time, unlike during his first try. Ripping the growth out was a good option, especially when Titan considered what it was exactly doing. It was trying to spread its spores out, most likely to places outside of Emerald City. The dragon managing to spread its corrupting influence could not be allowed, and the realization drove Titan to tug harder, resolving to destroy this thing once and for all.

Aurora rubbed her forehead. Okay, between her and everyone else that tried to stop the spores from spreading to other cities, they succeeded. The downside was that instead the spores settled all over the battlefield instead. Great, instead of helping she just made things worse somehow. At this point she could even muster up the energy to get mad about it. Even though she did get a full night's sleep last night (more than a full night's really) she felt like she just wanted to curl up and sleep for a week. She felt completely drained from everything that happened in this fight. The fact that yet another idiot really wanted to hug her for some godforsaken reason did not help this.
"Get off!" Much like Giza, Aurora started jabbing him in the collarbone with her elbow not giving much thought about how hard she was hitting him. "Why the hell are there so many people that want to get on me today?" she grumbled, pausing for a moment. "Besides, it's not about fault, it's about responsibility. I obviously had very little to do with anything the dragon's doing, but that doesn't mean I should be okay with what is happening or my own efforts."
As much as she wanted to either do nothing, or continue with the same ineffectual tactics, she couldn't do that. Not here. The dragon was reeling, which meant this was the time to strike. Even if everyone else could probably take care of it without her help, that didn't mean she shouldn't help. Aurora shook her head, trying to force these thoughts out of her mind. They were unproductive in the end. What happened happened, she needed to focus on what she could do now rather than think too hard about things she couldn't change.
Her aurora darted down the tower. The amount of damage she could do to this thing was minimal, but maybe she could stop it from doing too much to anyone else. The creation blossom was spewing out dark spores that acted together as a weapon. They were clearly strong and well coordinated, but her aurora worked the same way as far as she could tell. They both used small particles that coordinated well enough to cause a lot of damage. Perhaps her own particles could hold back the particles on the creation blossom some so that it couldn't hurt anyone else.

Despite the beast's desperate attempts to protect itself with an array of organic spines and other perils within its very own heart, Kaz maintained his assault, ripping and tearing at whatever would yield under the blades of his knives. He was in a strange fusion of both a berserker rage and sheer euphoric bliss, so absolutely caught up in the moment that this seemed like all that mattered in the world. His mad cackling echoed throughout the cramped quarters of his personal battleground. The reason behind the battle or even the existence of the others was practically negligible. All Kaz wanted to do was enjoy this moment while it last it, and savor every single second of it.

To say Arcanum did not fully think things through would be an understatement. Climbing the building to beat up the dragon sounded good and all, but now that the thing was dying, everyone felt the need to go all out. Soon the tower would go tumbling down and her clones would get squished. None of them had to worry about dying, but she'd rather not worry about digging them out of the rubble.
Time to abandon ship. One of the clones manning the slingshot sent up a very long rope, so the attacking group could escape without simply leaping off the roof. The Sword girls kicked the tower once more, then prepared to get out of there. They slid down the rope to (relative) safety and sat back to watch everything else burn.
They'd probably need a new place to live after all this.

Wrath was struggling against her much larger companion when he was suddenly against a building. Well that was weird. Pride had good timing today. The little red head looked over to her savior as his words reached her ears. Wordlessly she nodded once. Gluttony was not a cuddly person. What the hell had gotten into him? Or maybe, her eyes traveled to a nearby blossom, gotten on him.
"Pride, I know you think you're invincible but I suggest standing back."
With those words, her flames gathered beneath her feet and lifted her up. She stood on the writhing tower of flames, glaring daggers at the Creation Blossom. Her arms move fluidly as she wove a large ball of flame between her hands. Once it was of significant enough size, she threw it at the accursed plant. What happened next could only be called hellish retribution. The air itself erupted into flames as the ball passed through it. These new flames filled the blocks around the elementalist with sheer destruction. With all the willpower inside her little body, she formed them into a large flaming tornado around the target.

The Good Shepherd had sustained a few grievous injuries. He had a gashed arm and something had punctured his leg way back when. Even with their rebreathers he wasn’t doing too well with all the spores in the air. What a nightmare. Still… he fought on. He blasted away with his hunting-store shotgun, the bass a counterpoint to Delaware’s rifle’s cracking staccato and Brooklyn’s rhythmic automatic fire. It was a symphony of gunfire as they blasted their way deeper into the spores.
“Rein- keep it together! Target is showing signs of weakness. This is the death throes- dispatch the target with extreme prejudice” He reported over the com channel. He did it more for himself but he knew his superiors were listening in. They loved his reports- it kept them in the loop and made them feel important- like they had something to do with the outcome. He’d dealt with the brass for years and knew how to play them.
“Delaware- retrieve samples. This show’s about to have its curtain call- I want secure samples that we can study later.” He barked to their resident intelligence officer. The Indian woman nodded, her rebreather bouncing a bit as she did so. She crouched cutting a few leaves, harvesting a few spores, and taking samples of the slime they oozed as her two squad mates covered her. They were small but they might grant large insights later.
“Objective secure sir. We have the samples.” She reported and rejoined their blasting away at the plant life.
“Let’s give them hell.” Brooklyn yelled and opened up with everything he had.
A ping reached the Shepherd and he shook his head in the negative, “Negative sir. No need to glass this place. I repeat- negative on the atomic package. Predictions show complete destruction of the threat within 10 minutes. We will need a containment team however. This is going to be a messy clean up.”
He let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding- that was a report he was happy to give to the big-wigs in Washington.
