Anyone who has ever faced off against a hungry cat knows that they do not give up easily. For mere canned go, they will mewl and yowl and plead and rub against legs and do everything in their power to get a hold of it. For fish, fresh and slimy and delicious, they would go even further.
In spite of Big Martin's power, he could barely control his horde as they went charging in towards the Dragon's tail. Dozens vanished or fell, swallowed up by temporal anomalies, but for every one that failed to make it through, a score of furry fighters used their keen senses and agile bodies to move through the chaos, closing in on the rear of the beast.
And as soon as they were close, they did what any cat would do in this situation: they sunk their teeth in.
One cat against such a monster would do nothing. But there were hundreds of them, with more piling on every second, and a few lions and tigers that looked suspiciously like those formerly present at the zoo throwing themselves at the vast tail as well. Together, they struck thousands of tiny blows, added a huge amount of mass to the Dragon's rear, and ruined the streamlined shape of its tail, making it difficult to move around easily.
Hold it down! We can do this!
But every second, more cats were falling. Their numbers didn't seem to be decreasing much overall, but every tiny defeat sent a small spasm through the features of the man who rode around the edge of the fight, atop a majestic tiger.
The orange beast carried him around the Dragon, covering several meters with each mighty bound, until he drew close to the towering Titan, who looked to Big Martin inexperienced eyes like the most powerful super in the area. "Please... take this chance. My swarm will hold it, but we cannot hold it alone."

Gilgamesh put in the communication device that Limen had given him as they rode through the city toward the center of the chaos. His heart was pounding and his veins felt like they may burst from the excitement and fear boiling inside him. He wanted to laugh, and to cry, and to scream all at the same time. He wanted to rip this creature open and feast upon it's heart. Much like some older cultures used to do to vanquished beasts.
"Get to Dullahan's vehicle and patch my Comm into his speakers. We need communication lines."
He hated to admit it, but he wasn't strong enough to take this thing down on his own. As much as he wished he could say otherwise. He'd need the others to do this, and he'd need them to listen to him. Because if he was going to be in the middle of it, if something happened they needed to react fast. He was trusting Limen with this, another thing that sent his stomach churning. He didn't like needing to trust other people to get the job done. There was no way to tell how reliable they were, but he had no choice.
As they rode up the crumbling building he'd shift on his spot on the back of the bike. Moving so he was in a crouch rather than sitting. And when the leap happened and they soared through the sky on the bike as the city behind them began to shake and crumble more, Gilgamesh would leap off of the bike, soaring over the established front line of the Bulwarks and land right onto the main body of the Dragon. Landing in a kneeling position with a fist slamming right for it's body, his Qi and chakra aligned and concentrated into his fists, just as his Master had taught him. Perhaps this would get it's attention.

It was definitely a tough run for the lanky man to clambering over buildings, who tumbled up and over the rubble with no clear end in sight. He would never reach the...dragon like this!
The roar of an engine was a basic saviour for him. He didn't even have to look before he threw himself to the side, latching onto Dullahan's bulldozer.
He leaned over the side, tracing his hand over any collapsed body or building. Blood drops slowly accumulated in his stream, eliminating the problem of blood loss, albeit in a disturbing way.
He leapt off as they approached the dragon, peeking over a heap of rubble. Even with all these super, Bloodbath's mind told him they were hopelessly outnumbered.
A sadistic grin split his face as various creatures, humanoid or not, dropped from the stream. He wasn't outnumbered now, now was he?
The order was instantly inserted and the blood beasts surged forward, moving to cover the other supers, including Bloodbath. There was one nagging thought gone!

Titan watched, eyes wide in horror as the dust settled, and the sheer scope of the destruction sunk in. Buildings were collapsed, with the bodies of the people that lived in it ripped apart violently by the mere presence of the dragon. Titan had never seen someone die in front of him, let alone on a scale as big as this. He involuntarily imagined those closed to him butchered by the monster. Blue Jay. Siren. His parents. But what he felt wasn't fear. It wasn't even sorrow. It was an emotion that was so foreign to him that he might as well have been feeling it for the very first time; hate. Cold fury that emitted pure malice. No matter the size of the dragon, or how powerful it was, Titan swore that he wouldn't just defeat it, nor kill it, but destroy it completely. He would tear it apart with his bare hands if that was what he needed to do. He vowed to destroy it, even it was the very last thing he would do.
Stepping forward, Titan raised his voice for the first, and quite possibly last time, "EVERYONE! GET CLEAR!". The grotesque sound of bones snapping and reforming became louder as Titan shot up. He had never used this size in a real fight, but it was do or die. As his body twisted and warped itself, Titan simply stared straight at the beast he would make sure to rip to pieces. Finally reaching his maximum size of 50 feet, Titan crouched and slammed a fist into the ground because of the sheer weight of this form. He was still dwarfed by the larger monster, but he could bring the fight to it.
As he contemplating simply charging at the dragon and slamming his fist as hard as he could into it, he watched as a horde of cats close in on the visible tail of the dragon. He remembered them, they were the culprits responsible for the zoo incident, but now they were fighting to defend the city that they previously terrorized. Titan wasn't one to hold a grudge, and he certainly wasn't going to now. If they were going to defeat this thing, they would need all the help they could get.
Titan was then approached by a riding atop a tiger, who implored the giant to assist in pinning down the monster's tail. He decided to forego his original plan of a blind assault in favor of a more tactically sounds option. Nodding at the man below, Titan ran towards the exposed tail of the dragon, already being swarmed by the horde of cats. As Titan got closer to the dragon, he could feel its very presence having a negative effect on him. Despite this, he pressed on and managed to reach the tail, wrapping two large hands around it to keep it in place. The aura it gave out was painful to be close to, as Titan could feel his entire being in infinite places at the same time. His head was pounding from the effect, like a violent migraine, but Titan still held his tight grip on the tail, ignoring the pain.

Dullahan was glad to see some familiar faces through his cameras as he headed toward the dragon. From the start, he had resigned himself to a support role here. It wasn't glory that mattered, but rather prolonging humanity's battle against the dragons.
Destructo was a face (or rather helmet) that Dullahan wasn't personally familiar with, but he was cautiously optimistic. The man was an engineer like Dullahan himself, albeit one that favored rather more... crude methods. But so long as those methods worked, Dullahan would have no complaints.
"It was inevitable," he replied to Destructo's comment on encountering dragons. "They are the most common cause of death for us supers. Preparation for dragon attacks yields a much greater return on investment than preparation against any other threat."
When the other super mentioned the incident at the news station, Dullahan brushed it off. "That was Aurora's plan. I only used it for hardware testing purposes."
Up ahead, Dullahan saw the villainess herself and fell silent. In other circumstances, he would have started accelerating before she had finished climbing the ladder, but his cameras picked up signs of injury in her movements. Had something happened?
And then he stopped for Sanduleak, noting that the light-user, too, was moving unnaturally and seemed to be in pain. And then Bloodbath, who seemed to be... bloodier than usual already. This was worrying. The fight had yet to begin, and their forces were already injured. Dullahan struggled with how to deal with this. It would be most inefficient for them to throw themselves into the fight recklessly and die against this dragon when no doubt many more were to follow.
As the dragon came into view, Dullahan settled on a course of action. First, he broadcast a warning to his passengers:
"If you are further injured, notify me so that I may set you down a safe distance from the fight."
And then, he drove them into battle. He picked an elevated road on a hillside the dragon was moving by, and he kept pace with the dragon there to give a clear shot at the beast to his passengers. If it looked like it was going to swerve and attack them, Dullahan had already picked out some side roads ahead that he could flee down.

"Ok, ok, here comes the dragon, time to move... time to-what's happening!?" Ok, so Timezone kinda was stalling until he had to join the fight but what looked pretty much like a million cats have slowed the dragon down and his fellow superhero Titan have pretty much completely stopped it. Were they those talking cats, no focus! "Focus Timezone, you gotta go now!" Timezone begin a fast forward towards the slowed dragon, trying to think about what he could even do.
He ended up standing on one of the dragon's fins, could he just climb it right now? Yeah, turns out that sorta thinking wasn't even needed as the struggling dragon accidentally sent Timezone into the air by flicking the fin he was on. Timezone's scream was cut short as he reached out grabbing onto something that turned out to be a dorsal fin.
Did dorsal fins break? Maybe? The dorsal fin actually begin to move and Timezone jumped back into his fast forward, after everything about this dragon was probably deadly, right? He passed by the side of the dorsal fin, saw a giant eye, and got an idea, which didn't include time lagging this thing! Using the momentum he got from his fast forward, Timezone threw himself at the eye, his elbow out. Hopefully the dragon had sensitive eyes!

The motorcycle landed on the street, the shocks absorbing a lot of the impact and Limen just dealing with the rest, and continued perpendicular to the literal wake of destruction caused by the dragon.
Limen flipped on her microphone. “I don’t need to get to Dullahan’s vehicle to get into a com system. Give me a second here.”
She pulled into an alleyway already touched by the dragon’s power. The steel beams and concrete of the modern apartment had been cut with the dragon’s power like bread with a knife. Blood pooled out from under the concrete slab Limen came to park her bike beside. As far as stability went, though, Limen judged it to be “better than the surrounding area, at least” and likely to hold long enough for what she needed to do while also offering some protection from potential shrapnel from whatever this mass gathering of supers was going to throw at it. She’d seen their numbers; this was not being paranoid.
It took her a bit of focused messing with things in her hands and several seconds more of waiting, but at last she heard the click. Limen switched on her earpiece.
“Hey, Dullahan, Limen here.” She said into the line. “Hope you don’t mind me taking over- er, I mean joining your communication line for a bit. Gil, we’re patched. Weren’t you going to give everyone a victory speech?”
If Giza or anyone else was still using the com devices from capture the flag, they should be in the loop as well. She wasn’t going to settle for just that, however; she was picking up on other lines in the vicinity. One by one, Limen attempted to connect them to hers. Communication was going to be vital if no one wanted to be hit with a stray power, let alone take this thing down.

Balance arrived where the other supers had gathered. Some had already begun the assualt on the beast above them. It seemed the universe had summoned many guardians to realign itself with. Good. It was more efficient that way. Scanning her eyes she searched for a target. The main body would work It wasn't the biggest target but it would hamper the creature if it was to become an open wound instead of a body. But how would she do that? No doubt it would have some resistance to direct attacks at least for now. ANd with how it shattered the earth there would be little reason to let the universe decide its' punishment. That only left.... With a sigh she ran up, placed her hands on it and focused.

Lobisomem forced themselves to never look down, regardless of how the place smelled or the sickening squish of bodies they accidently treaded on. A part of their brain told them that if they saw all the bodies just outside their vision, they'd stay rooted to this spot and never move, probably dying in the process.
Their heart raced as they saw the sheer size of this thing, no way could their scales protect them from this monstrosity. The supers around them were former enemies, while some were...friends. The howl that erupted from their chest was a ralling cry, they hoped that Blue Jay would hear it, if he needed assertion that a friend had arrived.
The supers slowing the dragon helped them catch up, but they still couldn't fantom how to hurt this thing. Then some supers launched at the beast, reckless abandon granting them strength.
Lobisomem gritted their fangs before throwing themselves at the surfaced body, teeth gleaming as they leaned down to rip chunks out of this impossibly large beast.
The result of getting close made itself known instantly. A tingling sensation raced through their body, quickly replaced by a growing pain. No! No, it's not any worse than Unhallow, you're going to be fine!

Stunt Double grinned despite everything at seeing Blue Jay's offered hand. Yes, he knew what that meant. Stunt Double gladly took the high-five.
"Alright, I've got you covered. If you end up drawing an attack, or even put yourself in the path of one, I'll take it for you."
He was feeling pretty cool for having a plan like this, even if it meant probably taking the full brunt of a dragon's power. But before he could think too far along those lines, he saw a familiar android body standing over by the villains for some reason.
"Oh, hey! Robot buddy! I thought you died when you blew yourself up during the battle where Pandaemonium was painting everything!" If he had blown himself up, but he was still here, did that make him a robot zombie? With this much safer line of thought going through Stunt Double's head, he kept watch on the dragon for a good moment to use his swap.

'My God! I love this idea, but I hate sweating! Look at me, my make-up is running!' 'Then let's fuse, we'll both feel better, especially since we're going to reach that dragon soon!'
The man gestured with his phone towards the literal giant holding back the dragon, the woman laughed with delight, wiped away her running make-up and took her partner's free hand. Unfortunately, they couldn't do much in the realm of theatrics thanks to the fact they were both holding a phone, so the fusion into the real Double Dealer wasn't so flashy. The fused form of Double Dealer rushed forward, holding the two phones out to continue filming.
'Do you think hitting this thing will make, like, a crunch sound? By the way, don't get blood on this tuxedo, it's so pretty!' 'Well yeah, but I'd love to hear this thing snap, literally! You know, like bones! Don't worry, I love this tuxedo just as much as you do!' 'Awww, you're sweet, you know that? 'K, there's the dragon! Let's find out right now what sound this bastard makes!'
Double Dealer neared the back of the dragon, wrapping their arms around themselves, it felt like they were going to unfuse right here and now! They had to admit, the feeling of unfusing did not sound nice! How dare this bastard do this to them!? Taking only a few seconds to set the two phones on, hopefully, safe ground, the fused form of Double Dealer raised both fists in the air, ready to smash. "Hahaha! Let's see you crunch and snap!"

"This is do or die Dullahan. Don't worry about us, just focus on taking that thing down."
The battlefield was as chaotic as expected, and it wouldn't be easy to get it under control. She was happy to hear the signs of people trying, but in the heat of a battle like this she honestly wasn't sure how effective it would be. The effort was much appreciated though as she didn't really have the means to do it herself. With any luck, it should at least let the people that weren't intent on just smashing their faces onto the creature to coordinate a little to limit the dragon's attacks, or make it so the aforementioned face beaters would be able to beat their faces into it more effectively.
As much as Aurora would love to join in the people trying to beat it up, she didn't think her powers would be all that effective here. That distortion effect was something. With the way it was tearing through the streets and everything on them, she figured that dropping anything heavy, or even sending her particle swarm, after it wouldn't accomplish that much. She sighed, trying not to let it get to her too much. There were other ways to help, even if she was basically relegated to a support role here. Even though the dragon was breaking everything apart pretty well, it was still staying underground. There must be a reason for that, which meant that if someone could fish it out those face beaters might be able to do quite a bit of damage. Aurora started making the upper parts of the road, and large chunks of the road in front of the dragon, turn into particles. With any luck, the creature would be exposed more soon.

HaLOS flew over the building, managed to catch up with the creature’s fin protruding above the ground. From its optical sensory, it detected multiple supers from other faction also engaged in combat with the dragon. It began to record the creature’s body shape and predict the most possible way to attack it from high above. Since this creature can burrow underground, flying high might be slightly disadvantages for HaLOS.
To be more efficient with its strategy, HaLOS need to know what it is dealing with at the moment. Obviously those eyes on the dragon isn’t just cosmetic, and the jagged body and weapon it have on its back isn’t for show either. Once the creature is in its sight, HaLOS began to scan the dragon, making sure it doesn’t do anything suddenly without warning.

Giza looked around the devastation, looking for Aurora among the chaos before him from above. He already noticed some of his own teammate in the Pandaemonium is going around in Dullahan’s bulldozer from the capture the flag game, but so far he still unable to locate where Aurora is. Unfortunately, since he jumped out without knowing what the plan that the Pandaemonium had, he have no way to communicate with any of his teammate involved.
“Miss Aurora!” he shouted as loud as he could, “Where are you?”
Soon he heard the sound of Dullahan’s bulldozer running around the area, and rushed toward it without a second thought. When he saw the bulldozer make its way around, Giza noticed a hint of a black tail emerged from beneath the ground with eyeballs and guns attached to it. The sight nearly horrify him, but he need to find Aurora in this chaotic mess. His resolve is cleared, and for now he needs to contribute to the fight if any of them have a chance to get out alive.
Giza hopped onto Dullahan’s bulldozer as soon as he’s within range just in time for the flying carpet to disappear beneath his feet. The sudden movement and changing direction of the vehicle nearly knock him off as he tried to latch on the roof of the bulldozer:
“Dullahan,” he shouted to the bulldozer as he does so, “I need a head-piece to communicate; tell me you have one spare just in case.”
Steadying himself as he stood up slowly, Giza concentrated his power and created multiple strips of white papers floating above his head. Patiently wait for the right moment, he immediately swing his arms at the sight of the tail, and the white paper immediately fly toward its target, trying to blind it for everyone here to launch their attack on it.

Post by Unhallow on Jul 3, 2016 19:39:05 GMT -7
It had been several months since Unhallow ran, at least ran like this. They used to do it quite frequently, but the nature of their power made it a very bad idea to run now. Right now, Unhallow didn't care about that, they didn't care about keeping their power under control, they didn't care about limiting the damage it might cause. If anything, they wanted to make it stronger, make it as strong as possible. All those things that they used to avoid would now become a source of power. Run, be anxious, get hurt, get mad. At this point they were so blind to the world that the only thing they could see, the only thing they could think about, was that dragon and how to turn it into a pile of rotting meat.
Unfortunately, because it's been so long since Unhallow really exerted themselves, they were incredibly out of shape. Their heart was racing, their breathing haggard, and they doubted they'd be able to keep this up for very long. At this rate, they'd never catch up to the dragon. It might have been just as well because what were they supposed to do once they did? Their power was stronger at close range, but there was something weird happening around the dragon too. Everything was falling apart and just weird in a way they couldn't quite describe. Getting on the dragon would be impossible right now. That weird thing had to go if they wanted to have any hope at fighting at full effectiveness. Fortunately, even at this range Unhallow could still try to shut down the dragon's powers. Hopefully it worked similarly to how it did in people or this would be hard. Even while figuring that out, Unhallow continued to try to pursue the dragon, pushing through how tired they were feeling already.
