Geata was taking advantage of his giant perch and keeping an eye out on everyone, both fellow supers and the dragon, and what they were doing in the hopes he could find some sort of advantage to press. When the dragon opened some rifts that showed potential futures, Geata wasted no time. "Like hell you get to see that!" he yelled as he opened a portal directly in front of the eye. He smirked as the dragon was shown its only true future: a wonderful view of the ground.
Unfortunately, Geata was unprepared when the dragon attacked the big guy again. It shot a large amount of distortions at the super that were far too fast for Geata to try and stop. They tore through the giant's arm, throwing the smaller super off balance. He barely had time to catch himself before the dragon seemed to take his vision to heart. It started to dive, and the momentum of the sudden change flung both the giant super and Geata forward. The smaller of the two landed on the dragon's tail and reflexively grabbed hold before immediately realizing how bad of an idea that was. Suddenly, he was barreling underground and screaming his head off. He could barely keep hold, but he didn't dare let go or try and use a portal to get out. He had no clue where he was or how deep he was, and the thought of being stuck inside the ground with no way out was not tempting.
These thoughts were almost instantaneous, but nobody would have been able to guess that he was thinking particularly hard even if they could see him. He barely kept hold with his fingertips and was screaming every profanity that came to mind at startling speeds as loud as he possibly could. It would have been hard to imagine he had anything on his mind besides fear.

Her judgement brought large chunks of debris raining down on the dragon. It struck him hard on his body as he moved his tail to attack the other supers. Balance could hear the screams. Someone had gotten hurt, enough for other supers to call out their name repeatedly. She sighed and shook her head. It was unfortunate that life had to be lost but it was the price they were paying to save the city. It was unavoidable. She felt the dragon move beneath her. It was leaving! That couldn't be allowed to happen. Too much had been paid to destroy it only to have it run. Having it leave alive could throw the balance of the universe even more out of whack. Taking a deep breath, she pressed herself against the beast. She would stay with the beast and continue attacking it. For now she just had to hang on.
She noticed a burning cloak fly over them. So someone had stripped. interesting. More screams reached her ears as they dived. She turned her head to see a man with a metal skull mouth hanging tightly for his dear life. He was panicking, it would make him lose grip if he continued. And at the moment they needed all the supers to stay with the dragon they could get. But he was too far away for her to reach. Calling another judgement so soon could waste it for another when needed urgently. WIth a sigh she looked away and hoped he could hang on.

Sanduleak's eyes widened as he watched all of his constructions suddenly spin out of control. All that work and light gone in a flash, not even able to appreciate the pun, he began gathering some more light in hopes of doing something at least slightly useful. Then he saw the big guy take several holes in the arm and fell over a bit. This was bad, they had just barely won this battle and now the damn thing went underground. This was going to hell in a handbasket much too quickly for his taste. But now wasn't the time for his usual amount of complaining, and so he sat against the bed of Dullahan's vehicle and closed his eyes, designing new objects, shapes, and weapons for the upcoming battle. They were going to need them if this fight was anything to go by.

"Right Purity, will do"
Passion quickly confirmed with a nod before following him to Titan. The Bulwark was deserving of something much greater than injury like this to befall him. But unfortunately he lacked the potential for healing like his friend, but he could at least give moral support to the other supers. Like the one rushing and yelling towards him, he did not believe her a bulwark but he could feel the emotion of worry in her yell for their fellow Bulwark so he trusted her but did stop her a few feet from them.
"I understand your concern for him, but please allow Purity a moment of peace, we will do everything we can to assure that he will be okay."
With that gentle promise he stood over to the side, prepared to defend in case the dragon decided to resurface sooner than expected.

Given the circumstances, Dullahan wasn't inclined to second-guess Aurora's directions. Wordlessly, he pulled up to where the dragon had dived into the earth and then put the bulldozer in park. He lowered the barricade on one side of the platform to allow Aurora and the others to get a clear shot directly down onto the tunnel, ready to pull it up again on a moment's notice if the dragon resurfaced.
And then, he waited. He briefly considered whether building a tunneling module on the bulldozer would have been a good idea... but on second thought, he didn't relish the prospect of fighting that thing underground.
Instead, he began activating some dormant subsystems deep inside the bulldozer. If the dragon truly was done trying to run past the supers, then a change of equipment might be called for.

The dragon obviously was taking a huge amount of damaged when its dorsal fin got tore off from the martial art Pandaemonium. HaLOS then flew up to get out of the way of its tail and observe the situation from above as the dragon burrowed down and disappeared. It’s seems that one of the Bulwark got himself hurt during the fight as some of his teammate rushed over in order to get him some aid. Double Dealer is obviously cheery at the first dragon encounter, while Unhallowed is nowhere to be seen.
Even though some certain supers out there want to confirm the dragon is dead, HaLOS doesn't detect its present nearby, so decided to have its nano-bot to repair some of the damage the robotic form took while looking over the files that the Keeper had on dragon. With so much supers congregate here, if the dragon is still within the vicinity, it will be drawn toward this area soon enough. If the dragon decided to return, HaLOS need make sure it robotic form is ready for the second round.
HaLOS scanned the area for Azoth before making its way toward the little Keeper inventor:
“Azoth, status report on the situation. Requesting further update on weapon schematic to be better usage against dragon.”

Post by Stunt Double on Jul 6, 2016 15:55:42 GMT -7
As Stunt Double swapped places with Khan, he went flying at the dragon. He had just a moment to be envious of proper speedsters again before slamming into the eye and bouncing off. Then he struggled to his feet, wearing Khan's appearance, as he tried to decide how to attack next.
The swarm of distortions around the dorsal fin was... strange. Some sort of freaky spacetime bullshit. Stunt Double turned his attention away from them and instead looked around for someone else he could swap with in the chase.
But by then, it was too late. The dragon had already been driven back underground. Stunt Double sighed with relief at the chance to rest.
He saw some fellow Bulwark heroes gathering a short distance away. Stopping only to stare at his reflection in the glass of a broken window in order to appreciate how badass he looked in this form, Stunt Double jogged over there to join them.
It was only after he got close that he realized just how bad the injury to Titan was.
Holy shit... Well, that was what he tried to voice aloud, but then he realized that he didn't have a mouth in this form. He shook his head to clear it, then drew a finger in a large arc across the bottom half of his face to give himself a big smiley mouth. He stopped to take a deep breath, then spoke.
"Listen, guys, Stunt Double here... not actually the telekinesis supervillain guy. Anyway, this isn't a time I should be holding back. For those who don't know, my power is touch-based. As long as you've touched me since the last time I swapped with you, I can swap with you again in order to take one of that thing's attacks. Don't worry, I can swap again after I get hit to put myself back in an unwounded body."
He held out his hands, determined to do his best to make sure no other allies of his would get hurt that badly again.

Was it really over? Watching as one person jumped off the dragon and others not far off, Awenydd watched the hole that the dragon had made before it was caved in, feeling a mix of disbelief and elation bubble up in her chest, bursting out with an ecstatic grin that was soon to fade as she took in the various injuries that were scattered about the field. Most of them looked like they'd survive just fine, but the big guy looked like he would be a lot worse off.
But the adrenaline in her veins, the knowledge that there was progress - surely there would be more? Word was already spreading that it wasn't dead, leaving the promise of more danger lurking beneath them. The time for celebration would come later. Much later.

As soon as the whale ground to a halt, an order went out to all felines in the area. Right, our work here is done. Retreat!
Reluctantly, the cats let go of their prize, bounding away as the distortions grew worse and worse. Strong as their urge to hunt was, they too were beginning to realize how dangerous this fishy was. The huge amounts of damage done by the other heroes gave Big Martin's legions a chance to regroup, and literally lick their wounds.
The man himself, watching from a safe distance as the dragon dove underground, ran his fingers though his hair. Goodness gracious, he hadn't expected it to be this bad! He'd been getting used to mopping the floor with other supers, but this was on a whole different scale. One way or another, he was going to need to up his game.
For now, though, the only way to win this was sheer force of numbers. And for once, he didn't mean the numbers of his own armies: the other supers, in this case, were as much part of his force as any of the cats, even if he wasn't the one commanding them. Which meant, like it or not, he was going to have to take care of them.
Fluff squadron- disperse!
Hundreds of cats had participated in the assault on the dragon, but they were the fighters, the lean and mean creatures who knew how to use the sharp teeth and claws that nature had given them. That left the fat cats, the spoiled Persians, the puny kittens too small to make a difference. These reserve forces arrived now, flooding out from the edges of the battlefield to help where they could.
There was little they could do in terms of actual healing, but their sharp senses allowed them to track down the wounded, and yowl loudly until someone came to help. The furriest among them also made their way to the supers, rubbing up against their legs and staring up at them with wide, adoring eyes. Perhaps they might alleviate some of the stress and terror that had no doubt built up over the course of the fight.
The hunters gathered around their master, forming a thick and concentrated swarm. Reorganizing, sharing information, assessing. These normally individual creatures were behaving like a swarm of hornets- and they were just as angry.
If it came back, they were going to catch that fishy.

The dragon twisted and turned as it swam through the earth, thrashing back and forth as it tried to dislodge its human passengers and strand them deep underground. When that failed, it rose again toward the surface, faster and faster until it finally broke through in an explosion of rock and asphalt.
The respite had been all-too-brief. The return of the dragon coincided with the detonation of the explosives Destructo had placed into the hole Aurora had dug, resulting in a spectacular bloom of fire and shrapnel as the dragon rose high into the sky... and then hovered there, motionless.
As it turned out, this dragon did have the ability to fly. Or, more precisely, it had the ability to ignore the spacetime curvature that resulted in what laymen knew as "gravity." The dragon remained there for a moment, high enough in the sky to be visible throughout the suburbs, with apparent disregard for the humans it was carrying up there. It was clearly worse for the wear, with a tail covered in holes, dark bruises all along its back, and flaming black blood streaming from the ruined eye on its crumpled dorsal fin. Flames were running down its body and forming a burning waterfall down to the ground below.
Down on the streets, the hurried attempts to heal Titan weren't going well. Although the bleeding could be stemmed and Titan's condition had been stabilized, the dragon's power prevented the holes in his arm and chest from fully healing. There was no time to try to patch him up any better.
This close to the downtown area, many of the surrounding buildings were tall apartment complexes, already ravaged by the dragon's power. The taller ones were high enough that someone standing on the roof could almost reach out and touch the beast. And the assembled supers might have to do just that, as the dragon wasn't showing any signs of actively going after them.
Instead, the cannons covering its body came to life. The ones on its head spun around until they aimed in a high arc, targeting something over the horizon. The ones on its tail made small pivots as they aligned themselves to be fired where the tail pointed them. And the one on the chest extended outward into a long-tapered tube like one might see on a battleship, aiming squarely at the cluster of skyscrapers to the south.

He braced himself as they went down into the ground. The Dragon trying to buck and knock them off. Though his grip on the damaged fin was strong, he was able to ride the storm, all while being careful of the flowing blood from the damaged eye that was causing a stream of fire to run down it's side. The warmth of which made his proximity more than a little uncomfortable, but despite the bleeding and the pain. Despite the discomfort he was having the time of his life. As the Dragon breached upward once more Gilgamesh would let out a howl of joy and excitement!
"WhoooooooooooooooHooooooooooooooo!!! Limen! Explosive volley on the back!"
Right where he was standing. But he already knew he could avoid her arrows. They'd done that song and dance before. But if she could pepper it with some attacks and soften it up he might be able to rip right through it's hide like he'd done the eye. It was worth a shot at least. Worst case scenario, it would be damn satisfying to try. He focused on avoiding the arrows when they came first before running up to the fin, leaping upward next to the ruined eye and kicking off of the Fin back toward the back. Using the momentum of the run and reversal as he brought his elbow down as hard as he could into the Dragon's back. It was enough force that it would surely kill any person, and probably more than one Super. He was excited to see how the Dragon reacted to his Qi infused elbow attack.
"Don't disappoint me now Dragon."

It wasn't enough, but it was all he could do for Titan right now. He'd give him a reassuring smile however. Titan had done a great job protecting everyone. Now it was their turn to protect him. They were stronger together than they could ever dream of being apart. And together they would not break, they would not bow. Not as long as they supported each other. Like a team.
"Take it easy Titan. We shall protect you."
And so it was that Purity took his position between the Dragon and Titan. The light surrounding his body glowing brightly as tendrils of light whipped upward toward the main chest canon that was targeting downtown. He would do everything in his power to stop them. Willing the canon to recede back into it's chest so that it couldn't fire.
"Your rampage ends here Dragon. In the name of all that is Pure and good in this world, your destruction stops now."
The words were not shouted, but rather spoken softly. For Purity's ears more than the Dragon. He needed to reaffirm to himself that they could do this. That this creature wasn't unstoppable. That good would triumph over evil. That love beat hate. And that tomorrow when the sun rose again his friends would be alive and safe.

Post by Bloodbath on Jul 6, 2016 18:18:47 GMT -7
Bloodbath was still staring into the ground when the ground shuddered, even then, his eyes only glazed over. It looked like he was reeling in his rational part of mind, and bringing out another side of him, that the voices always tried to appeal to.
The boom broke home out of his blank state, the blood creation being the only reason he wasn't impaled on some asphalt. Still, it splattered against his back, quickly being rearranged into his usual stream.
Oddly enough, he plucked up a sheet of glass, his intent becoming clear as he lined it up with his arm. A muted yell erupted from his lips as blood spurted out, swirling around him. The wound was amazingly precise, avoiding as much damage to his muscles and bones as possible.
The blood instantly started taking an avian form, something he had never tried before but was willing to try now.
Fly
He squinted at the poor thing as it flapped restlessly, then his eyes widened as it started to rise! He didn't waste time, hugging himself to its chest before it rose too far.
Their ascent was agonizingly slow, but hopefully that would disguise the unorthodox approach.
He cast away the bird as soon as he was near the eyes, reforming it into red claws on his hands and feet.
Ok...we're here...now what?
He had wrapped himself around the ragged bits of tail, praying his swirling head was just the heights and not loss of blood.
He squirmed to the side as flaming blood passed his form, almost touching it to try and absorb the dragon blood...No, it was on fire, he couldn't absorb blood on fire.
The cannons were pointed at the docks, it took a second for Bloodbath to figure out the implications of this. Pandemonium's home was going to be destroyed.
He didn't know what exactly ran through his mind in that moment, but he climbed up till he was level with the cannons...and shoved his hand inside. What he was trying to accomplish, other than blowing his arm off, was unclear. But Bloodbath thought he knew what to do. His bloody claws moved to pierce the sides of the cannon, where his blood was waiting to absorb whatever leaked out.

She'd be warned something bad was coming, but this? This was nuts.
Truth be told, Canary wasn't sure what she thought she was going to be able to do against something so enormous as a this creature, but the fact remained that something inhuman was plaguing the city, destroying lives and homes as thoughtless and easily and people could breathe air. Without having a bunch of super friends, Canary had to find her own means to the battle, but better late than never, right?
Especially since there was a cannon aimed in her general direction.
"Holy...." The rest of what she sees and hears doesn't register. Not the familiar faces, nor the voice giving an elated whoop riding atop this whale-thing. Whale with two tails and a cannon. Seriously, what was the universe thinking by letting this exist?
Darting out of the way so she's not just standing like an open target, Canary chucks a device at the tail, intending to make it stop doing its thing.
