Lobisomem grimaced as their tail made perfect contact, the feeling of an eye being very different from what they expected.
They tried to whirled again, trying to make another strike, when an explosion of distortions appeared around the dragon. Lobisomem had no time to take it in like the dragon, only catching glimpses of various visions of victory, but also of most of the supers laying unconscious or dead. It was a terrible sight.
Then the dragon dove.
Having no intention to follow the dragon to whatever it had planned for the fleas on its back, Lobisomem pushed off and made a fair landing on a dented apartment, punching through it but being relatively alright.
They emerged to find the dragon gone, vanished underground. They tried to take a step and skidded down to the ground, panting raggedly. The pain from their wounds suddenly skyrocketed, even as they wandered to the collapsed tunnel. The ringing in their ears also persisted, by now they were convinced their ears were actually bleeding.
"I'm...K'...Ok..." They mumbled to themselves, if only to make sure they could still hear, quietly enough to only be heard by someone paying attention to them. The brief thought of licking their wounds surfaced, but was smashed by the fact they were human to some degree.
They paced nervously, wishing their ears were working well enough to hear where the dragon would likely surface.

He felt satisfaction as his blow landed into the eye, ripping and rupturing the vital soft spot. Black blood oozed out of the wound sating his curiosity to what color a Dragon bleeds, only to have the blood burst into flame upon touching the air. The flames exploded upon the arm of his clock and small speckles on the body of the cloak from when he yanked his arm out of the creatures eye. Without hesitation his non flaming arm ripped and hurled the cloak off of him, sending it fluttering to the streets below while he did his best to maintain his balance, gripping on to the fin of the Dragon as it began it's decent under ground. "Oh no you don't!" He growled to himself and the Dragon as they began to lower away from the Horde of supers. He wasn't going to let it get away that easily. They just proved they could hurt it. They could make it bleed. And if it could bleed, it could die. This challenge was already well on it's way to being overcome. "Limen! Get into position!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, hoping to be heard over the commotion and rumbling of the Dragon. Though he could do little more than brace himself for whatever may come next. They had made progress, but it wasn't over yet!

It's working!...You're going to tear this thing to pieces!
Indeed, for once Bloodbath felt on top of the world, pulling other the hook like he was reeling in a hooked whale.
He opened his eyes just in time to see the dragon diving underground. The shock was enough for him to let the blood lose its shape, tossing him backward flat on his back.
The impact seemed to have some effect on him, as he sat up trembling, as if this situation was just now hitting him. His breathing was running ragged, and he curled up like a child afraid of the dark.
You're fighting a dragon!...I'm scared...should I be here!?
The voices suddenly rose within him, leaving him a trembling man that stared at the ground like he expected more dragons to rise from it.
But a snicker still leaked from his lips, yeah he was fighting a dragon, and he was fighting it well!

Double Dealer pulled back a fist covered in blood, their own or the dragon's, they didn't know, ready to punch again before the dragon let out another wave of distortions, letting various futures appear. Double Dealer looked up and visibly shook, sobered for once in their life.
'A-Are we dead in that one? Holy shit, you're, like, splattered in that one! I think I'm going to puke...' 'D-Don't worry, there's like... three... where we're perfectly fine do we'll just do that future, alright?' 'Ok, but can we please look away? I wasn't kidding about the puking thing!'
Double Dealer looked down and realized the dragon was digging again. "'K, let's stop being stupid and scared and have some fun!" With a whoop, Double Dealer begin using the dragon's skin like a slide, jumping at the last second to the safety beyond the abyss. Double Dealer split and ran near the abyss, jeering at the retreating back of the dragon. "Yeah, you better run or we'll kick your ass!" "What, you finally realized we're way better than you!?"
The man suddenly lifted his partner and twirled her as they both laughed, obviously thinking things are now alright. The duo begin cheering the same words happily, "We did it! We did it!" They turned to whoever was near them, cupping their mouths so their words will carry, "You see us out there!? We were amazing!"

Even though Aurora was sitting on the edge of Dullahan's bulldozer the entire time, she was visibly sweating and breathing heavily as though she had just run a marathon. There was so much going on and the stakes were so high that no mistakes could be made. Eventually, the rubble stopped falling, whether it be because she dissolved it into particles or because it hit the ground. She cursed herself for not having the presence of mind to do a headcount before the battle started proper. In the end, it probably didn't matter that much, they couldn't focus on any fallen or injured supers right now, that thing had to die as quickly as possible.
Now that the rubble was no longer falling from the sky, Aurora was able to take a look around the battlefield. It was pure chaos, enough so that even she was having a little bit of trouble following it. The important part was that they were making headway in slowing it down. That was good, keep it in one place, expose it, and it should be easier to take down. She could easily clean up the stuff she dropped on it, and take away anything the dragon might hide in so that everyone else could beat it into oblivion. Once again, things seemed to be going too well, it was disturbing. She remained tense, still not believing this is all the dragon could really be capable of. Was it toying with them? Was it underestimating them? She refused to believe that was just because they had an overwhelming force. There were a lot of supers here, but the majority of them were idiots and they were hardly coordinated. The dragon had actually seen to that, it was clearly intelligent.
Aurora wasn't the least bit surprised when it retreated underground. It was planning something. Was it finally going to stop going easy on them? Normally this would be a good moment to catch her breath, but she refused to do such a thing. Letting her enemy hide and regroup was the worse thing she could do. It was underground, it would be difficult to know where it was going to come out again, and there was no guarantee it would even be nearby. The last thing she wanted was to start this stupid chase all over again. About the only thing worse was giving it time to prepare for something even worse. She kicked the bulldozer with the back of her heel, letting the metal clang ring out as the metal of her boots collided with the metal of the bulldozer. She was still speaking more loudly than usual because of the ringing in her ears.
"Dullahan! Take me closer to the hole, I'm going to dig it out."

Post by Unhallow on Jul 5, 2016 19:49:59 GMT -7
Unhallow's focus was getting bad enough that the world was looking more like a swirling mass of atoms with chaotic, indecipherable movements rather than complex, solid beings. It reminded them of when they first got their power, except this time instead of overloading their brain with too much information, their brain was just ignoring it completely. Occasionally, even the dragon would look like nothing more than billions of individual parts moving independently with no discernible pattern. It took all their focus just to piece together enough to tell what was going on, what they were even touching and where they should go. Everything else was already fading into the background, but now it was quite literally meaningless noise. Everything else made about as much sense to them as the dragon's anatomy did.
Unhallow was breathing hard, their heart rate higher than it had been in some time. Their arms felt number than they did during the failed jailbreak, to the point that they didn't notice that they were even wounded. Their normal awareness of their body faded as it appeared to become billions of particles like everything else. It was like even their own body wasn't a solid thing anymore, but unlike the rest of the world they didn't need their senses to know where it was and how to move it, their brain still covered that, but it did make the whole experience feel even more surreal. It was hard to tell how much they were doing simply because it was becoming increasingly difficult to put all the pieces together. Unhallow hadn't had trouble doing this in months. They weren't sure what changed, but they didn't care. If this creature was structured at all like a human, then they needed to head towards the core or the head. The core was on the way, so they might as well start there.
Their armor had already been reduced to little more than dust, but their costume was designed to handle that. The fabric was coming apart at the seams in several places, but it was also designed to handle that. It was sliced open at the hands, and was coming apart faster than expected there since a new fault was created. The helmet had several cracks running through it, enough that about a fourth of their face was exposed at this point. Underneath, the extra padding and cloth was managing to hold together well enough to protect their identity, but it was obviously fraying rather quickly. Unhallow was unable to recognize any of this, still just seeing a mass of particles they couldn't quite place. The only way they felt any of this was in how much more difficult it was to move than it should be. Their muscles were already sore, and having bits of falling cloth or helmet get in the way was irritating. They were at least able to piece together their surroundings enough to find hand holds in the roughness of the dragon's skin, since creating their own wasn't an option. Trying to piece together enough information to figure out their surroundings was giving them a bit of a headache. There was just so much more information here than they were used to, and they had no idea how to handle it.
There was a sudden movement in the tail, exactly how they couldn't tell, but it was enough to knock them off the tail. The tail itself phased between solid and the atoms it was made up to their senses, but it was shredded enough that after a bit of flailing, Unhallow was able to find a piece that was almost like a raggedy cloth to grab onto. The dragon started to head underground, but Unhallow was unfazed. They could mostly recognize the ground as solid, even if it didn't really feel that way sometimes. They understood that this could be incredibly dangerous, they just didn't care. As long as the dragon lived, Unhallow would do whatever it took to stop it. The dragon going underground wasn't going to be enough to shake them off. Carefully monitoring their movements, Unhallow continued their climb towards the dragon's chest, trying to at least stay near the spikes as to avoid getting squished between the shark and the ground it was swimming through.

"Ok... are you feeling bad?" Timezone watched as many of the dragon's eyes swung basically everywhere, was that it's version of getting cross-eyed or something? Suddenly a blast of distortions briefly shot everywhere, knocking Timezone off his feet and stopping his time lag with it. He lifted his head, seeing himself, another himself, and so on. Too bad that Timezone's head was twisted way too much and that Timezone was crushed under some rubble... was he looking at all the possible futures!?
He looked all around, turning nearly as pale as his white hair, there had to be one future where he and the others actually are alive, right!? He let out the breath he must have been holding as one future showed him alive and happy. "Ok, that future gotta be the real one...!" He didn't really get a chance to continue telling himself that his future's gonna be alright as the dragon dove into the ground and he was forced to fast forward away from the caving in ground. Finally he stopped and sat, not really trusting his legs.
"Is it r-really gone?" Even in the good future he was pretty sure he was more beat up. He looked around, everyone was still alive thankfully but some, like Titan were so hurt he felt sick just looking at them. "Do you guys think you're all ok?" He asked this to anybody near him, everyone was pretty beat up after all. After a few tense minutes of waiting for the dragon to come back and get him, Timezone put his head on his knees, eyes closed, he was just the smallest bit tired so he might as well rest now.

By the time that the dragon burrowed back into the earth, Destructo was shaking. He was half-tempted to remove his helmet, since he felt like he was having a hard time breathing. But it looked like it was over. He set down his rifle, then pumped his arm.
"HELL YEAH! RUN, BITCH! FUCK YOU, SHAMU!" Destructo yelled, mostly just glad he was uninjured. As Aurora instructed Dullahan, he unzipped his jacket. Underneath was a vest, military grade. And strapped to the inside of it were several black cylinders, each one with a single light on them.
"Ms. Aurora." Destructo said. Normally, Destructo was the opposite of formal. But from what he understood, she was a well-respected member of Pandamonium. She seemed to have the best grasp of what was going on out of all of them, as well. "I have some remote explosives we can use to help get it out. These things are military grade. Leveled my dad's garage with one of these, once." He was holding a detonator with a single red button in one hand.

Post by Misty on Jul 5, 2016 23:22:04 GMT -7
The terrible feeling grew worse. Misty had always trusted her sixth sense, and it was not happy with things right now. She continued her walk through the rubble. One poor bastard had but cut almost clean in half by the fall of a building, and there had been nothing that she could do but send him to death a little quicker, before he died from bleeding out.
She climbed up the embankment that had been made from the dragon passing through. Neither of the dragons that she had encountered before had done anything like this. But then again, she really hadn’t stuck around that much to see the damage that they had done. The first dragon that she encountered had been a small one, that wasn’t very powerful. She knew that know, but she hadn’t know it then, and never having seen one before, and not really knowing what it was, she had simply fled. The second time she had encountered a much larger, stronger one, a nasty creature that spread filth. Its terrible effects had wracked Europe for years.
It was with that dragon that she had decided that it was because of her that the things kept showing up. She could only pray that it was not her presence in this city that had brought this particularly nasty thing here. From what she could tell, it had a nasty power that distorted, or twisted things in some way. She had found one corpse bridging the mound that looked as though a nice thick slice of the poor bastard had been turned inside out.
It saddened Misty that there really weren’t any survivors. All those people that had been within a certain distance of the dragons passing where all dead. The only survivors were on the outskirts of the destruction.
Misty turned on her heel and began the trek back to the outer edges of the destruction, angling herself so that she passed through a new area, so that there was the potential of running across more people that she might be able to help.
“I wish these stupid things didn’t even exist.” Misty mumbled to herself.
She was forced to stop and heal her lungs again after a little ways longer. Sadly, thought Misty to herself, no normal human would ever be able to live through this kind of smoke. They would all die before there was anything that she would be able to do.
In her mind's eye, Misty could all but see and smell the village burning, the first time that a dragon had come after her. The thing had looked as though it where constructed entirely out of knives and the gore, and the stench from it had been almost unbearable. Misty shuddered. There was no time to think about that now. She picked up her pace, hoping that she would be able to come across another person that she could save soon. All these corpses were getting discouraging.

Did they have a reprieve? Had they driven it back!? Purity couldn't help but let out a cheer of pure elation as the beast sunk back into the depths from whence it came. It may very well return but the first battle was theirs, and it would be wrong to make light of that victory. A victory that did not come without cost however. Many were injured, but none more so than their own Titan. The gentle giant.
"Passion! Keep your eyes ever alert friend."
He'd call out as he rushed toward the injured giant. The wounds were clear, and numerous. He could only hope that he would be able to help ease his pain. He had no idea if the Dragon had a venom or anything that could stop his own healing. Time against time, but he had to try.
"Titan my friend. Try to relax, I will do what I can for you."
He spoke in a soothing tone as he made his way to the giant, his body glowing with a gentle and warm aura of light. Should the giant let him he'd place a hand on him and channel the energy through his body into Titan's. Willing his ally and protector back to health. He deserved that. He deserved peace and prosperity for his bravery here today. But all Purity could do for now was try to ease his pain and prevent him from suffering.

Post by Blue Jay on Jul 5, 2016 23:34:58 GMT -7
As the dragon went down, Blue Jay knew he had to make a choice; follow it or stay with his allies. He would have stayed on the dragon, continued to fight it even as it tried to escape, had it not taken its parting blow on one of his friends. He teleported from the dragon’s back, landing in the rubble it left behind as the monster dove into the earth. He was about to teleport again when he caught sight of another of his allies, pacing off to the side. Blue Jay sheathed his sword and appeared beside Lobisomem.
His eyes were wide. With the immediate threat gone, his adrenaline was catching up with him and he was trying not to shake. “It’s not over yet. We have to keep fighting.” He forced a smile. “I think we can do it, though, as a team, right?” He offered his hand to Lobisomem for a high-five or a fist bump or a something. Honestly he didn’t know what he was doing.
Blue Jay vanished. He would’ve liked to stay with Lobisomem, maybe try to calm down and prepare for the dragon’s next move, but Titan had been hit. He reappeared not far from the Bulwark, coming out of his teleportation at a run to close the rest of the distance.
“Titan!” He yelled, probably louder than was necessary, but given the state of his ears he had little gauge of his volume. “Titan! Are you okay?”
Blue Jay looped his arm under Titan’s less injured arm and did his best to help the super (who was a good foot taller than him by standard means, but that was besides the point) to his feet. There wasn’t much besides this he could do to help the Bulwark, but he’d be a shoulder at least to lean on if he needed one.
He may have been expecting the dragon, but he hadn’t been expecting this. This was way easier last time; it’d been scary as all hell, but it had been exhilarating, not terrifying. This sucked and it wasn’t even over yet. Maybe that was because last time he didn’t have friends for the dragon to leave holes in.

Hooded Siren's eyes widened as she took in the possibilities. Her head was spinning from seeing all the potential events unfolding in front of her. The tactical advantage she could give the supers with this knowledge. They could stop this thing in their tracks. She raised the radio to her lips and pressed the button reciever. Then it turned it's attentions to Titan. That oversized whale shark was using it's distortions to attack Titan! The reciever slipped from her hand as time stood still. Her ears were ringing, and her heart was beating out of her chest and she couldn't move.Through the ringing of her ears she could distantly hear someone yelling for Titan. She tried to find the source of the voice only to realize it was her own.
"TITAN? TITAN HOLD ON!"
The hollow echoiness rang. It was like listening to one of those movie scenes where some one loses their hearing after an explosion. She ran as time sped up. Off the rubble she had stood on, past the hole it had left. She had to get to him, had to make sure he was going to be alright. Someone, a Bulwark, was walking towards him. Was he helping? Another person was nearing Titan. She recognized him from the house. Blue Jay. SHe locked eyes for a moment before she continued her path to Titan's side. WHen she reached him she didn't dare fall to her knees beside him. To collapse like that would not be what he needed. Nor would it be what anyone needed. Her voice was trembling amd hoarse the next time she spoke.
"Bulwark," she stated not knowing the blond's name, "Will he be ok?"

Titan was glad that the smaller hero perched on his shoulder was using his portals to help him out with restraining the dragon. Nonetheless, that strange distortion field around the dragon became even stronger, like a hurricane of invisible blades ripping apart anything that was caught in it. Despite the concussion and the smaller wounds caused by this windstorm, Titan still made an effort to grapple onto the creature's now mangled tail. With an almost malicious reaction, the dragon sent more of the distortions towards Titan's right arm at such a speed that he only saw it for a millisecond before he felt it. His entire body screamed in agony. Excruciating pain shot out from his arm as it was torn apart by the field. He could feel his flesh being torn, his bones shattering. The attack seemed to attack each individual atom of his. It had even reached his chest, almost causing him to pass out from the pain. His vision started to become black as consciousness was fading from him.
His right arm was limp and useless, even if he could push past the pain long enough to actually do something with it. But he still had one arm left. Despite being half unconscious, Titan grabbed the tail with his left hand, in an attempt immobilize the dragon before it could reach downtown. Other supers had assisted in this effort; the cats, Purity and Passion, even Aurora. Eventually, their combined efforts managed to put the dragon to a complete stop, leaving it vulnerable for a few moments. While his vision was far from clear, Titan could still see well enough to watch the vicious assault on the dragon's fin, severely damaging it. He even grinned underneath his mask when he saw what he thought was Blue Jay using his sword to send a powerful shockwave through the dragon.
Suddenly, the dragon fled underground, dragging its damaged tail back down with it. Though Titan let go in time to avoid being sent down alongside it, he was still sent flying forwards, and he crashed hard into the ground. Shrinking back down to his real size, Titan attempted to push himself up with his still functional arm. He could feel a pool of blood forming around where he lay prone. Out of the corner his eye, he saw what looked like Purity and Blue Jay rushing towards him. While Blue Jay pulled Titan up to stand him up, Purity started trying to heal his right arm, to no real effect. Finally, he could see Siren rushing towards him. She looked distraught and terrified. In his delirious state, Titan wondered why. Still, he had enough strength to look up at all of those around him and weakly say something.
"Good...good job...but its still alive"

“Miss Aurora,” Giza quickly makes his way to Aurora when she demand Dullahan to take her closer to the hole where the dragon left, “the creature’s gone, it’s okay now.”
Since the dragon take large enough damage that it spill its flammable black blood all over the place, and how shredded its tail were, he felt relief when the creature burrowed itself down into the ground until it was gone.
Hiding behind his mask, Giza is sweating like a storm; he never thought fighting against a dragon could take almost all of his energy like this. His power almost exhausted from the constant usages, so it’s best that he take some time for it to recharge. Giza felt slightly annoyed when Destructo was being formal to her, and suggested her to use his military-grade explosives to blast the hole where the dragon left. But right now, he’s way too tired to even pushed him out of the spot-light.
Giza then survey all the supers around him, they all seems to be tired from the fight as well. Bloodbath simply giggled to himself while looking at the ground, while Titan seems to got himself hurt from the fight, judging from how his hand looked.
“Poor guy,” he said, “hope those silly Bulwark have a decency to get some healer.”
He then made his way toward the care-free bow user, Limen, while looking around for a certain cloaked martial fighter:
“Hey Limen, where’s old Gil?” he asked her, “I thought I saw him fighting the dragon earlier in the chaos.”
