Misty had made up her mind. She was going to go do what she could to help the other supers. But first she had to find them. It shouldn’t be to hard, though she didn’t want to just burst into an encounter with the dragon either. There were no lucky bikes sitting around to help her this time. So Misty set off at a dead run down the middle of the road. She needed to get to the area that the other supers where. A normal person would have never been able to run like Misty could. Her body produced massive amounts of energy all by itself, and it was always in perfect health. If she wanted to, Misty could run for days on end without stopping. She ran, not caring, for once, who saw her.
The streets, the cars and the people all became a blur, until they weren’t there anymore. After a time Misty found herself running through empty streets. Then she came to a screeching halt. A giant hole in the ground and mass destruction. The shudders and the trembles in the ground where very violent here. Not far away she could see the dragon and the buildings that it was crashing through, and the supers that swarmed it, doing the best that they could to murder the thing. Misty would be interested to see that. Tiny lives bombarded her senses. They were everywhere. She walked a few steps, dropped to her knees and pulled a piece of rubble off….a cat? Some air of chaos clung to the cat, but it wasn’t affecting it. She healed the cat, and the moment it was stable, it jumped from her lap and ran full bore over the rubble towards the area where the other supers were fighting the dragon. What the…….? Misty thought to herself. Tiny bubble in the back of her memory recalled a super that had something to do with cats….Where these cats from that super. That would explain why there where so many of them.
Misty shuddered and almost dropped the next cat she unearthed. The chaos that had clung to the last cat was deeply embedded in this one. There was nothing that she could do. This nasty stuff that she would liken to the blackest dark magic messed with her powers. It didn’t nullify them, but it scrambled them, in a sense. Without focusing her powers, she could do almost nothing.
Misty began picking through the rubble. She was surprised to find the number of cats that were still alive. Granted many of them were very gravely injured. So, through the rubble she picked, pulling out the living cats, healing those that she could and gently arranging the ones she couldn’t so that their tiny lives could pass with hey in some comfort. At one point she moved a piece of rubble and four perfectly healthy cats bounded out from where they had been trapped, racing as all the other did, towards the fighting. MIsty lost count of all the cats she found. But she did not lose count of the ones that she could save. So far, this far away from the fighting, she had revived 16 of them. And they had all gone shooting off to the fight.
Misty’s stomach had been hurting since she had first come into contact with this chaos magic. Now, sure that there were no cats that she could help around her, she keeled over and pulled her mask away just in time to puke all over the ground. She replaced the hooded mask and thought.
She had to get closer to the fighting now, so she began walking over the rubble. She found a trail of destruction and burning things. The closer that she got, the thicker the black smoke. And her body rebelled, sending her to her knees, yanking at her hood and again she vomited. By now, there was nothing in her stomach, and it was just painful dry heaves. This smoke, it wasn’t natural. Until now, Misty had only cut off her sense of smell. But places a hand over her face, she shut down all the functions of her nose, breathing only through her mouth. Her mask was thicker there and would help filter out this terrible smoke.
Misty could feel so many living things in this area. Most of them so small that there was no way that they weren't cat. She got up and again began digging out the cats and healing the ones that she could. Misty felt a little silly, healing cats. But in a situation like this, the fighting skills that she did have weren’t much help. On and on she went. It seemed like hours, but Misty knew that it was only minutes. By the time that she had cleared the area that she was in, she had rescued 43 cats in all.
Misty had to take a break or a while after that. She sat still and healed her eyes and her lungs, and her burning throat. She wondered how the other supers were fighting in this. But then again, she knew. The city and the people in it, and their own lives where on the line. And nothing made a person fight harder than the sake of their home. If there was something Misty would never forget, it was that.

Dullahan's engines sputtered, then blasted full force, launching him through the opposite wall of the building he had crashed into. Some quick adjustments to his navigational systems accounted for the warped gravity field the dragon was producing, and then he was zipping around in spirals again, firing volleys of bullets into the dragon's innards.
An alarm sounded alerting him that his neural temperature was exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and Dullahan paused only briefly to silently curse the limitations of his remaining human body before shutting off the alarm. At this point, stopping to cool off would only make him an easier target for the dragon.

Purity had to dive to the side to avoid the brunt of the impact when the Dragon smashed into the group of Supers. Debris raining around him, but his light still shone bright. Things were looking grim for their team though. The Dragon in it's last stand was dealing out vicious attacks and it appeared that those they connected with didn't have what it took to stand up to them. Passion included in that number, though his friend fought valiantly on despite the Dragon's attacks. All Purity could do for him at the moment was let out a small, silent prayer for him as the gravity shifted sending him falling away. It was only by grabbing on to a light post that he was able to stay where he was for the moment.
I need to help buy them time. Create an opening.
He knew he didn't have what it took to actually kill something like this. But if he could help clear the path for the others he would consider it a job well done. The organ was a bust for him so the light switched to the grasping Tendrils that the creature had protecting it's chest. It was time to help make a hole!

Anonymous was rather surprised when he listen to the dragon’s thought; it was sad about something, and the emotion it have in its mind is truly different from its action. Could the dragon actually isn’t under their own control, and being manipulated to do against its will? Could it have been asking to be rescue from whoever controlling its action?
Of course just as Anonymous was pondering about such a situation, he didn’t notice a huge wall of pavement charging on top of him. Just as soon he finally managed to notice the wall, it was too late, and he got caught up in it, buried under the ton of rubble. It wasn’t the worst situation that happens to him; it only annoyed him slightly because he needs to dig himself out. It only took him about five minutes to dig himself out, arm-first and pushed himself out of the rubble.
Looking around his surrounding, he can see the dragon floating above the city, heavily injured from the attack. As long as Anonymous can still have his line of sight to the dragon, he can continue the mind torment on the dragon. He is quite curious of the dragon’s thought, so he can still at least find out what it was thinking about before the other could finally defeat it.

Action: Maneuver (Speed) against insides
Stunt Double was having the time of his life as he swapped around between the other attackers inside the dragon. He wasn't doing much damage, aside from what he was facilitating by soaking up attacks and taking the pressure off the other attackers, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Each time he got crushed by muscular movements, whipped by tendrils, or soaked in burning blood, he'd swap into a fresh body and launch a few more ineffectual attacks of his own.
He was wearing Blue Jay's appearance, slapping some of the internal organs around like a punching bag with a blunt imitation sword, when he noticed that the opening into the dragon was getting even wider, as though it were tearing itself apart. Then, though the kaleidoscopic window into the outside world, Stunt Double recognized a line of distortions streaming in from the strange organ. Without hesitating for a moment, Stunt Double threw himself into the path of the attack, confident that he could swap after it hit him to reverse the damage.
That was a mistake. The next thing Stunt Double knew, he was outside the dragon, the right half of his body completely numb and beginning to fade to white as his power began to have a hard time telling it what color it should be. Stunt Double tried to swap back to one of the supers inside the dragon in order to repair the damage with a fresh body, but he couldn't seem to remember how to call on his power. One of the misalignments from the distortion ran all the way across his brain.
Stunt Double fell toward the horizon for a moment before being caught. At first, he thought it was another super who had saved him, but instead, it was the dragon's tendrils. They pinned his arms to his sides as the dragon lifted him up toward its face.
The draining effect of the tendrils only made it harder for Stunt Double to call on his power, and then a sudden realization put a stop to his attempts entirely. If he were to swap with one of the other supers he had managed to touch so far, they'd end up grabbed by the dragon in his place. Would it really be any better for one of them to be in this predicament instead? Stunt Double desperately tried to justify it to himself, but he found that he couldn't. There was no easy way to get out of this one.
His train of thought was interrupted by the dragon's tendrils tightening around him. He grit hit teeth against the pain as he felt his bones crunching.
"Really... should... have... thought... this... through...!"
Time seemed to slow as the dragon's face approached, mouth opening wide...

The dragon bit down, annihilating the top half of Stunt Double's body. Its tendrils released the lower half, which fell toward the horizon, already dissolving into gray dust as the power that had held his unusual biology together began to fade.
But the dragon did not rest there. As its body began to break down under the assault, more bloody smoke filled its internal cavity, subjecting Blue Jay and the already-dissolving Gilgamesh to even more of the substance. Its tendrils reached out, snatching Geata as it flew by him, then capturing Balance in mid-attack, and adding them to the collection of supers slowly suffocating inside the writing mass.
The dragon thrashed about the battlefield, hardly even seeming to notice as Arcanum's spiked wall embedded itself in its side. Its muscular action squirted Kazuki out of the hole in its belly (along with several of its own vital organs that Kazuki had been in the process of dismembering), and the dragon slammed itself into him, crashing across the rooftops.
Its thrashing drove up another huge wall of rock, except this time the altered gravity sent it tipping over immediately and breaking apart into a huge rockslide. The rocks let Canary's inventions through, but Canary herself was swept away to tumble toward the horizon. Then, the dragon crashed through where Azoth had set herself up. Its thrashing was enough to completely obliterate all buildings in the vicinity, denying the supers any easy places to take hide or take cover between attacks.
All the while, the attacks against the dragon were adding up. The supers had found where the dragon was vulnerable, and their merciless attacks against those spots were beginning to tear away the dragon's vitals. The strange organ that apparently controlled its offensive distortion ability took a savage beating from Bloodbath, Limen, Nemesis, Giza, and the wounded Passion. The dragon's insides were becoming so deadly that it was hard to continue, but Timezone still got some good hits in, Toko's and Dullahan's bullets were unhindered, and HaLOS's nanobot harpoon seemed to do much the same against the dragon's organs as the dragon's blood did against human ones, and Khan's power was very slowly beginning to drag the dragon's weakened insides all the way out.
The dragon put some distance between itself and the supers, perhaps trying to buy time for it to squeeze and crush those trapped by its tendrils. The flames set by Azoth didn't seem to be damaging them enough to let the captives escape. The beast's mouth opened again, displaying one more attack to put off its own destruction: a miniature black hole, of the same variety that it had shot at Malachite Isle. The black sphere began to grow, sucking in air and dust with such speed that it overwhelmed even Hooded Siren's supernaturally-amplified voice, and the immense gravity threw Titan's good fist off-target, almost tearing the appendage off due to the close proximity.
The supers inside the dragon, too, felt the black hole begin to pull at them, trying to suck them out of the dragon's weak point and into the sphere of absolute destruction. The pull was only getting stronger. This fight would need to be ended immediately, or else Stunt Double would be far from the only super to die here today.

The world was falling. One second, Canary could see the glimmer of her devices, a triumphant cry in her throat that came out closer to dismay as things just went sideways and took her with it. At this point, she wasn't sure there was even an up, the rocks taking her along for a joyride with a horrifying view as those who remained within the dragon were dissolved the longer they fought. She squirmed, managing to pull out one last device and throwing it at the whale, hoping she had the momentum enough to do something.
'No!'
The last thing she saw was the vortex forming in front of the dragon, then the rocks washed over her, cracking the lens of her goggles as she was swept away.

There were certain advantages to being unconscious in times like this. Unhallow was brought out of the way, so the dragon was at least less likely to hit them. They were also still able to fight it on some level just due to the nature of their power, so little was lost because of their injuries. However, like this Unhallow couldn't see the battlefield. They would have no memory of what was taking place here, and they didn't see one of the fellow fighters get killed by the beast. Given the amount of carnage they were forced to see already, it was a small blessing.
Unhallow's power continued to flow out into the battlefield, hitting the dragon and everything else around it. Given the current state of most of the fighters, they probably wouldn't notice it that much. However, its affect on some of the dragon's parts were starting to take hold, potentially scrambling what they might be able to do. It's not like anything about this creature was normal, so they didn't really get how their power interacted with parts of it.

Big Martin blinked.
Mm?
Cats were returning to the fray from where they had fallen, eyes opening and furry bodies springing upright, enthusiastic creatures rushing to join their comrades. He glimpsed someone, a masked and hooded woman, out of the edges of their eyes. It appeared that someone had taken the time to help his cats. He smiled. Good to know that not everyone was his enemy yet.
There was nothing he could do, and the strain on his body and mind was overwhelming. Some guy had gotten chomped by the dragon and died, but it wasn't anyone Big Martin knew, and even if it had been, would it matter? Not particularly caring what happened to him anymore, he slipped into unconsciousness.

Nemesis continued swinging her sword around, frustrated at the lack of payoff for her efforts. Due to all of their efforts the organ was bleeding, but this was taking too long. She just wanted it to die already. No more killing innocent people for this monster.
When the sword flew out of her hands Nemesis didn't waste a second. No point in going after it. She could always get a new one made, forged from the bones of this annoying dragon. For now she just started punching the stupid organ, ignoring the blood that started burning her skin and clothing. There would be time to fix everything after the asshole died.

The smoke was suffocating and the burning that had been confined to his insides was now eating as his skin. He felt his flesh sear and his lungs burn so hot he felt they must surely be on fire. The blood was flowing from every orifice now, and his flesh was rotting on his very bones. His vision was gone, there was only darkness, heat, and pain to accompany the sounds of flesh hitting flesh. Each blow weaker than the last, each blow coming slower than the last. If he hadn't been perched on one of the protrusions that served as bones for this creature he would have fallen out of this pit of hell already.
He wobbled on his perch, the shift in gravity and the addition of the black hole pulling him backwards as the last bit of his strength dwindled away and the taste of copper overwhelmed all other senses. Alex let out one final blow on the soft interior of the monster before his legs gave out and he fell backwards toward the black hole and the horizon.
The world seemed to move in slow motion for him as he fell, he couldn't see but he was sure that this Dragon was dead. Despite everything as Alex tumbled toward the unknown there was a small satisfied smile on his face as he blindly looked up to where the Dragon was.
"You are not worthy..."
The words left his throat in a rasp, the sputtering of blood from between his lips was louder than the actual words. But it didn't matter, the words were for his ears, and for his own soul. He could die like this, he could die satisfied and proud. He had given everything he had to give, and when faced with the challenge he did not shy away. For what felt like the first time in forever the scared little boy wasn't afraid. He'd faced Hell and it was fun.

Post by Misty on Jul 11, 2016 21:51:26 GMT -7
The smoke suddenly began to fly from the area, and all at once, Misty could see the dragon. It was clear that it was injured, with what appeared to be its inside falling out, on fire, grasping supers. It looked like an orca, without a dorsal fin and a shredded tail. It was a sight that Misty never thought that she would ever see. A dying dragon.
After a few moments it was clear that whatever was sucking up the smoke was too weak to have a true pull as far away as she was. And it was on origin with the dragon. Misty began walking towards the buildings that it had flattened. She was afraid. Again, in the back of her mind, she saw the bloody, bloody ruins of a place that she had once called home. This fear she felt was deeply rooted in the past. But she needed to overcome this. She knew, because she always kept tabs on this, that she was the one gifted person in this city that had a strong enough healing power to fix all the damage that would be suffered by a fight with a dragon. To heal it all.
So Misty stood and gathered herself. And then she ran, leaping over piles of rubble and jumping off of them. Soon she was very close to the dragon. The sucking that the dragon seemed to be doing was much stronger from here. She could see many supers, some that eve she had never seen before in all her years of quiet observing.
And she could feel many more, some that she guessed where inside the thing and others still. There was one that was very close, that she alarmingly couldn’t see at all. Misty pulled her power to focus on the area right around her and discovered the close super that she couldn’t feel was on the top of a somewhat tall partially crushed building that was very close to her. And they weren’t doing so hot.
Misty ran over to the side of the building and started hauling herself up, going so fast that she barely even planted her feet to aid her ascent. She hauled herself all the way to the top of the crushed structure almost entirely with her hands alone.
Once on the top, she looked around slightly confused for a moment, before she figured out that the person that she was seeking was buried in the rubble of the building. Misty used her powers to tell her where, then began to move the rubble. She soon discovered that moving things towards the dragons pull aided her, and so she began to push and yank and pull the rubble off the spot where this person seemed to be. After she had flattened the area, then dug about two feet down into the rubble, it got harder and harder. And Misty started to become concerned that she might not be able to dig this person out. She heaved a particularly heavy piece of rubble out of the little dent that she was making, and the picked up a smashed office chair and tossed it out of the hole. AndMisty was rewarded with a hand. The left hand of the person was uncovered and misty renewed her rubble moving efforts with a new vigor. Now she was sure that she could dig this person out. More and more rubble came off the person. It was clear to misty that the left arm had ended up extended above the rest of the body. Misty was so sure of where the person was now that she began walked around where their body was, being careful not to step on them through the rubble. Hunk after chunk went up. And the finally, Misty pulled a frail, tiny, dusty, bloody girl in a face scarf and cracked goggles out of the rubble. Misty cradled the unconscious girls head while she contemplated if she should remove her or not.
In the end of her thought train, she saw the red mud on the girl's head and decided that her injuries, along with the strange pull of the dragon, where enough reason to keep her down here, but first….she laid the girls head down and moved a few pieces of rubble to make the shallower pit a bit more sturdy, then she went up and found the office chair, and ripped the seat off of it. She tossed it into the pit and then pushed around the rubble and the top of the hole so that the side that was facing the dragon was a bit more fortified. Then Misty went back into the hole and beat some of the dust out of the chair seat cushion, before laying it at the head of the flatter space and moving the girl there, gently putting her head on the strange chair seat pillow.
Misty went over her then, assessing the damage that the girl had taken. Misty knew that someone's secret identity meant the world, but she had to do it. She very carefully removed the goggles and scarf from the girl's face. As the blood on the scarf had foretold, her face was badly crushed. Misty lay her hands on the battered face and began to heal. The girls bones and blood vessels began to knit under her fingers. The her facial muscles and skin, and once the scars had faded from the girls faces, she began healing the rest of the girl's body. A shattered wrist, several crushed ribs, the brain damage, and all the bruises. When the girl's body was totally healed of its injuries, Misty paused, the girl had some kind of illness, something that ate at her that Misty had never encountered before. She had done enough. If this girl was to wake up and fight, she could heal her no more. Misty carefully replaced the scarf and goggles and whispered to the girl,
“Don’t worry, your face is safe with me.”
The she placed her palm over the girl's forehead and gave her a zapping energy transfer, waking the girl up.

Khan hated helping others, he was a ruler not a hero. Still, supers were above the common man just as he was and it would be wrong to let them die. With other supers targeting the insides he changes tactics.
Spinning ninety degrees Khan yanks both hands back towards the dragon, looking to rip away as many tendrils away from the supers as he could before they started dropping like flies. If he was able to free them, he'd be just as satisfied if not more so to tear the tendrils in half.

Anesthesia looked in horror as stunt double was cut in half. He didn't know the man, but what did that matter? Someone had died right in front of him and he didn't do a thing to stop it. Could he? Maybe, maybe not, but he wasn't gonna wait around anymore. He he to at least try.
He pulls out his escrima sticks, turning to the nearest tendril as he unleashes a flurry of attacks upon it, trying to release Gaeta.
"Hold on! I got you!"
