Titan's blow whiffed, the combined force of the punch itself and the black hole's pull almost popping his arm out of place. Dammit, he was not having both arms out of commission, not while this thing was still alive. He forced it back into place, the pain of the process overshadowed by his determination to kill, and he only let out a grunt of discomfort. He remembered the promise he had made at the very beginning of the fight, and he was intending to keep it, no matter how much pain he'd have to suffer along the way.
He cursed himself for not being able to finish the fight quickly, and he would continue to do so after what happened in the following moments. He saw a figure, gripped by the tendrils and almost crushed by them. As he rushed to free them, he saw who exactly it was; Blue Jay. It all happened too fast. Titan watched helplessly as he was torn in half, killed in an almost spiteful manner.
Titan didn't respond by screaming, or flying into a rage. All he saw was red, and a single desire echoed through his brain. Reaching under the dragon, Titan swung his left arm in an uppercut, and smashed right into one of the exposed organs. It burned, but he barely feel it, due to the numbness of his body and the cold rage. He then gripped it tightly, pulling with every single iota of strength he could summon to rip it out. He had vowed not to let one more person die, and he failed. He wouldn't fail at this

It was chaos inside of the dragon, and so it was more by bad luck than anything else that Blue Jay was looking in the direction he was when it happened. He saw his own body taken by the dragon’s attack. It wasn’t him; the actual identity of the one caught by the distortion was clear to him immediately. His mind froze, his body continuing headless with his current swing while his eyes watched in horror. How is one supposed to react when they see their ally and friend ripped apart?
He was numb. Blue Jay didn’t feel his legs moving or the motions of pulling his blade over his shoulder down on the organs of the dragon, over and over again, or the shockwaves that exploded from the edge with every strike. He didn’t feel the burning of the blood against his skin, or the waning of his powers as the smog took its hold on his lungs, or the tears running down his face. He let the sword guide his motions.
Blue Jay held nothing back. Every swing of his blade was made with all of his strength. Each shockwave hit with the force that could rip apart stone and came only once his sword was already buried deep in the flesh of the dragon’s organs. His own condition, worsening by every second he spent within the dragon, was not of concern. He was not going to stop fighting until this dragon was dead.
He’d already failed one person. He was not going to fail anyone else.

“Well, that was truly unexpected,” is all Anonymous can said when he saw the dragon bite one of the super and out-right killed him with its teeth. He didn’t really get to know the super’s identity, but if he was stupid enough to jump into the dragon’s mouth, then at the least he lose his life quickly.
Anonymous then finally dug himself out of the rubble and gaze at the dragon’s condition. It’s much wounded, and perhaps even inches away from death, so it began to open its mouth. Looking at the growing black sphere in its mouth, he could already see the material around him started to flow toward the sphere.
“You got to be kidding me,” he sighed, “a black hole, really?”
It’s seems that he need to stop this dragon from doing its power fast, otherwise this suburb area will upgrade from ruin to non-existence. The biggest question is how he should do this; other supers had tried to affect the dragon with all their physical abilities and Anonymous isn’t really a physical type of super. He better think about this quickly, before the dragon finally unleashes the black hole onto the city below.
“Guess there’s only one thing to do.”
Anonymous shrugged and does his little mind game with the dragon, hopefully he can perhaps making the dragon confuse from its bombardment visual stimulant. If this work, even though he sort of doubts it will, perhaps he can stop the dragon from wailing its tail all over the place.

Siren's blood ran cold as she watched who she thought was Blue Jay get torn in half. Time stood still as her face went ashen and a numbness filled her. Watching a friend die today was not part of the plan. She had to take a deep breath to keep herself from crying. No, there was no time for mourning. She would do it later but for now she needed to find another way to injure the beast with out getting wrapped up in the same mess so many other supers were in. Maybe she could try to help them out. It was worth a shot…

Balance cursed as she was gripped by the tendrils. This is what she got for trusting in her arrogance. The universe came for all when the time was right. Some repercussions just came faster than others. The tendrils that were wrapped tightly around her body slowly began draining her. She attempted to move her arms but to no avail. Fine, if her arms weren't going to help then she'd use her legs. She'd kick this yin yang son of a bitch until her feet fell off.

Bloodbath saw a hero get torn in half, rather grossly at that. He kept expecting a feeling of sadness, or at least disgust, but nothing came. He couldn't even force it, he didn't care about this person, why should he?
He simply shrugged and flung another spear at the same organ, clinging to his blood to keep from flying into the black hole.

Lobisomem suffered another bout of dizziness as the dragon flung them around, but at least they didn't pass out like the person near them, they'd need to check up on them later.
Immediately after, they wished they passed out. A figure that resembled Blue Jay got grabbed and, before anything could be done, got bit in half. It was so fast, Lobisomem didn't realize they had witnessed a death until the other half spiraled out of sight.
They gagged and felt their stomach heave, their throat burning as they emptied their stomach, mind replaying the exact moment of death. This was followed by their eyes burning, but for a completely different reason. Crying. They were crying. They gasped painfully as the unfamiliar feeling nearly engulfed them, having just lost an ally they genuinely trusted.
The hot feeling was quickly replaced by absolute fury, covering the world in shades of scarlet. "Kill it!" They bayed, struggling to free themselves, roaring loud enough to make their words clear, "Kill this fucker!"

Double Dealer had the bad luck to look up just as one super was lifted towards the dragon's maw.
'Oh God, oh God, look away, I don't want to see this!' 'Maybe they'll get out, you know!?'
Double Dealer shut their eyes, hearing some sickening crunch from the dragon's mouth, apparently whoever that was didn't get out. They opened their eyes as another sound rang out, how the hell did the dragon make a black hole!? Double Dealer clung to the severed tail of the dragon desperately, they were not going to be the next to die! "Ugh! Die you bastard!" Double Dealer strengthened their grip on the dragon's tail, trying to crush it.

Post by Azoth on Jul 12, 2016 11:22:32 GMT -7
Azoth had been lucky the first time the dragon had targeted her. She’d been left only immobilized by its miss, but this time the dragon’s strike was true. Pain flooded Azoth’s chest and left side. She opened her mouth to scream as weight was piled atop her, but the air had left her lungs when her ribs gave way. The one piece of mercy was the large piece of concrete that slammed soon after into her head, instantly turning the world black.
Color swam slowly back into the world, tinted by her goggles and skewed by a crack. The pain she felt before was entirely gone; even the throbbing of her leg that had kept her from retreating. It’d been replaced with a heavy but not painful weight on her lower half.
There was someone above her. They wore a mask she didn’t recognize, and their costume didn’t fit anyone in her large knowledge of even obscure supers. Was she the reason she was okay? Had they healed her?
She became aware of the throngs of battle next. She didn’t know how long she’d been out, but the fight hadn’t ended yet. The dragon was still alive. Azoth tried to get back up onto her knees, but in doing so remembered what having a lot of rubble on one’s lower half does to one’s ability to get up. There was another force acting on her as well, she realized; one trying to pull her in. The dragon had created a black hole.
Azoth regarded the woman who had helped her silently. Formalities could come after the dragon was dead.
There wasn’t a lot she could do against a black hole; she doubted there was much anyone could do to stop something like that. The most she could hope for was to stop its growth. Azoth began removing air and debris from around the event horizon. Not inside it, she didn’t want to try messing with that, but everything she could take beyond it, she did. Steel cubes and lumps of varying sizes began to form around her.

Arcanum wasn't even surprised that her attack did nothing. None of her other moves had done anything useful so far. Why should this one be the exception? Dragons are supposed to be hard to kill, especially with her abilities. If this was too easy, she would have never bothered with joining the Keepers. Why would she need their help if she could just murder everything on her own.
She wasn't surprised that the wall failed, because everything went according to plan. It still managed to set up the next attack perfectly. The only good thing about using spikes made out of her own body, was how it placed Arcanum back on the dragon's body. This gave her the perfect opportunity to slide around and cut into it's flesh. Slicing through as much as she could ought to distract the monster from killing everyone with black holes and whatnot.

Toko felt the tug of something, even while in the hellish world he leapt into with his partner. This Dragon had obviously decided to end this and so with a pill crunched between his teeth and a blood empowered leap, he flew out to see half of a super fall to the ground...poor kid, he'd take his hat off and might have drink with Kaz for him...after he removed the body if nobody noticed. But those were plans for after the fight, at the moment he needed to stop the powerful beast from actually making it's attack. Reaching to the side opposite of where he pulled pills out of his suit, he unclipped a holster and revealed the beast of gun known as a Thompson Contender. Scope removed and the words 'orgoglio del proiettile' were carved into it's grip, Toko took aim for the organ that had been taking out several key members of the fight.
"La morte si diventa."
With the quiet curse under his breath, Toko took the shot, barely able to handle the recoil still even after all the years of use but the power provided by it meant the bullet could be even more deadly. Hopefully his curse could become true.

Passion was momentarily paralyzed after he slashed through the organ, not from the overwhelming pain quickly overtaking but over the death a of a comrade. He was not a bulwark he had personally met, but he was one that he knew had good in his heart and always attempted to do the righteous thing...he did NOT deserve to die NOBODY HERE DID!
"HOW DARE YOU DECIDE YOU HAVE THE POWER TO REMOVE THE PASSIONATE FROM THIS WORLD! YOU UNCOUTH BEAST I SHALL SHOW YOU THE TRUE WRATH OF THOSE WHO FOLLOW JUSTICE!!!"
With that loud decree, Passion shoved his hand into the wound his blade had made, focusing all of his power on turning this thing's manipulator into nothing but a cheap rusted dagger.

Sanduleak actually laughed weakly at Limen as she checked up on him and gave the order.
"But Lime that means you'll get ahead in insanity, I'd be crazy to let you get that much of advantage."
Each laugh wracked his body a bit, causing slight spasms as he shook portions that had already been moved enough. This thing was so close to being dead, he'd have finally done it. He'd gain some slight semblance of peace from seeing it's corpse become a reality, for her. He closed his open eye for a moment, to let it rest for a bit after gathering so much light, and opened it to see the definition of carnage. The area had somehow become more ruined than before, vision became blurry as he saw people swung about by the gravity that thing was producing. Then he heard the crunch, before seeing someone's lower half fall through a blurry eye tears coating his face. No no no, it's like her all over again, No No No, What if that was-NO NO NO! NO HE REFUSED! While images of traumatic memories and what if's flooded his mind, he attempted to force a weak flash from his right eye, but it had used up all of it's light trying to compensate for it being the only one with his last creation.
"No DAMMIT HELP!"
He screamed in frustration while trying to open his right eye, it remained shut as nerves around it finally registered the damage and refused to allow it perform it's usual duties while it healed.
"GOD DAMMIT OPEN!"
In a fit of rage, he slammed a fist into his own mask, unable to disperse the light it was formed from as usual due to a lack of a control. Shards of it became light as it flew upward, revealing a closed eye that he forced open with two fingers, revealing the blood soaked pupil underneath. In an instant light was released in a strobing pattern comparable to a siren, the usual yellow planes he formed now being tinged with blood red shards, and quickly the mangled dragon was surrounded by screens showing gruesome scenes of memories and fears. Visions of blood soaked corpses and battered bodies surrounded it, no plan by Sanduleak just wanting to release all of the pain onto something.

Post by Aurora Disicio on Jul 12, 2016 13:38:30 GMT -7
The battle raged on. Aurora could tell that, in the grand scheme of things, she wasn't able to do much against this thing anymore. In the first couple of phases of the battle she was at least able to give people other avenues of attack so they could be more effective, but here it felt like for every tendril she was able to destroy two more popped up, and she was pretty sure that the dragon was slowing down because of the damage it was taking from the other supers, not because of her own efforts. She clicked her tongue in frustration, trying to think of something, anything, else she might be able to do. Her options were limited against something that distorted space, and she wasn't fast enough or agile enough in her current state to get inside of it like many of the faster supers. She couldn't even take pot shots at it with her power because of gravity, and probably whatever bullshit the dragon was using to make its insides bigger than what could actually fit in there. Maybe she should just resign herself to using basic first aid on some of the supers with surface wounds. The supers that could heal would still be better at this than she would, but it was probably better than being a useless lump in a hole.
Aurora struggled to get out of the hole she created for herself to avoid some of the dragon's attacks. Even though she was probably the least beat up person here, that silent scream still managed to do a number on her. Besides making her bones shake so hard it felt like they were going to rip through her skin, it made the two bullets that were still inside her shake along with them. Sadly, those bullets just happened to be right next to her heart and lungs, and while it didn't appear that either of those things were damaged by the attack, she could tell it still ripped through some flesh on the inside of her. Since both of them were in her torso, one of which was in an area with a lot of the muscles necessary for climbing while she couldn't use her legs effectively. She still wanted to keep her aurora on the offensive, so recalling that for a few extra platforms wasn't going to go happen. Instead, she started kicking the side of the hole in an attempt to make a few footholds for herself. She didn't dare take her eyes of the fight though. As long as she was dropping heavy stuff in an area with a lot of supers she couldn't afford to do so. She needed to be prepared to dissolve them into particles again so no one would get squished.
A couple dozen more tendrils were crushed under her falling piles of rubble, and torn off because of the dragon's speed. Aurora did her best to keep up the assault while she continued to kick at the edges of the hole. Some of the remaining tendrils started grabbing other supers. Aurora quickly dropped some of the heavier rubble onto the bases of those tendrils in an effort to free them, even if they didn't appear to be in any immediate danger. Another super was grabbed, and that one was lifted towards the dragon's face. Aurora's eyes widened in alarm as she directed several heavy things to fall onto that tendril before it could do anything more. The falling rubble wasn't fast enough though, and Aurora was only able to get one quick look at the super's face before he was bitten in half and the rest of his body just turned to dust dissolving in the wind. It looked like Blue Jay, but for once, her thoughts didn't drift towards wondering why the hell he didn't have his sword with him or how he could lose track of it at a time like this. She was just stunned, so much so that instead of dissolving the rubble she used to attack the tendril that was holding him again, it just crashed down to the ground below. It was bad enough that she didn't even breathe for a few moments.
It was stupid to feel this way and she knew it. This was a dragon, the fact that they had even gotten this far without losing someone was bordering on miraculous. The fact that they were likely only going to lose one person was completely absurd. This beasts were one of the big reasons most supers died so young, and she was surprised it actually managed to kill someone? The entire situation just felt surreal, like it couldn't actually be happening. But it was. Aurora dug her fingers into the rubble at the edge of the hole. Her face showed no hint of emotion, but her body was obviously tense and she was starting to breathe heavily. It was another stupid feeling, but on some level she felt like she was responsible for all the other supers. Not that she wanted to control them, she still didn't want to be a crutch or their mom, but she had made it her personal mission to make their lives better. And here, she just completely failed one even if the situation was out of her hands. Her mind kept jumping to what she could have done, if she had just cut that tendril ten seconds sooner, or if she had dropped something on the dragon's head, or broken its teeth or--It was completely pointless to think about, it was already too late.
As she forced her way out of the hole, she started condensing her aurora and adding more bits of rubble to it to make it grow. Even full condensed, with each particle right next to the other, the sphere was about ten times as big as she was. The ball of aurora shone as brightly as the sun, and started spinning rapidly. So fast, that it almost looked like it wasn't spinning at all. She was going to drill right through this thing, tear it in half. No one else was going to die here.

Looking back to mere moments before, Geata could understand that he had made a terrible decision.
He had almost made it to the inside of the belly of the beast when, of course, he was grabbed by the giant tentacles. It squeezed his arms to his side, breaking both his arm and ribs even more. It was nearly impossible to breath without screaming out in agony. All he was capable of doing was sitting back and watching the other supers finish it off.
Mere moments after that thought crossed his mind, he watched as some poor bastard was tore in half. Geata considered himself lucky that he had already lost his dinner, because he was very close to emptying his stomach again. He didn't know who the guy was, but nobody deserved to die like that. At the very least, Geata figured he would try to remember the guy's face. Something, anything, in remembrance of the lost.
Speaking of lost, Geata had apparently caught the attention of a well meaning super. If he had to venture a guess, said super was probably a Bulwark, given his willingness to risk everything to try and save the helpless. Admirable, but not the time, as far as Geata was concerned. They had just watched somebody die to the dragon; wasting time wasn't the best idea. "Thanks," he tried to say, though it came out hoarse and barely more audible than a whisper, "but don't worry about me, okay? I've gotten myself out of worse." He was lying through his teeth, and he could feel the blood bubbling up in his throat and trickling out of the corner of his mouth, but they had a much bigger fish to fry. He wasn't worth being a distraction, no matter how well meaning the distracted party was.
Speaking of frying the fish, Geata couldn't do much, but he was going to do what he could. He opened a portal in front of the other tentacles, hoping that it would be just enough to keep it from grabbing anyone else. With that, he heard another crunch from his ribs and blacked out again.
